I ordered the Move on 11/15, well before the Black Friday rush and my order status just says “Processing”. It’s been 37 days with nothing more than the original order confirmation email. I emailed Support on 11/30 and was told on 12/4 to call Sales. Spoke with Sales and Accounting on 12/7, both assured me that my order was fine and would be shipping out in the next day or two. Now 12/22 and nothing. Great tech but horrible operational processes. Anyone know what’s going on with this company?
Sonos Arc came in today morning!Connected to my Samsung 2019 Q70R 55" TV. Sounds great. But the only issue is that I am getting a Dolby Digital 5.1 in my "About my system" and no DD+. Does Dolby Digital 5.1 means its a lossy atmos? My TV does not have eARC just have ARC where I have connected. The Sound settings show the connection as "Receiver(HDMI)" on Expert Settings it tells "Dolby Digital".However, if I go to Netflix I am not getting Dolby Digital Plus anywhere. I am expecting it to get atleast DD+ in Sonos. Can someone help?
I’ve got a small system with two ZP90’s, one Bridge and a CR200, and I want to upgrade all of it to three Ports and a Boost. This is fine for all except one of the ZP90’s, which was previously owned by someone else. That owner viewed the “Upgrade” option for that unit, and it showed as being eligible for upgrade in his account, though he did NOT choose to upgrade it.Problem is that when installed in my system and viewed in my account it doesn’t show as eligible for upgrade. Please can anyone advise - if he chooses “transfer system ownership” to my account, will that resolve the problem? Thanks!
Hi guys, i just bought a Sony Bravia XBR49X950H. The TV is connected to SONOS AMP via HDMI ARC. The TV always switch back to external speakers (even if a choose by default the TV System, put Off Sync Bravia,) Lot of other issues like mine. I tried a lot of things, no success. If you have any idea, let me know ! Thx.
I have a brand new Sonos Beam with 2 surrounds (One & One SL) all Ethernet wired to a network with wireless disabled on all 3 speakers. The sound from the TV source is constantly breaking up / stuttering momentarily which totally ruins the viewing experience. The beam is connected directly to the optical port of the Sky+HD Box using the optical / hdmi connector supplied with the beam. Optical out in the Sky Box is set to Dolby D. I am using the S2 Sonos app & have tried changing all available settings - audio compression etc. The problem still occurs if I remove the surrounds & just use the Beam. Please advise if there is a solution to this problem - I can submit diagnostics if it helps? Thanks.
Dear allMy Sonos beam randomly mutes itself when I’m watching TV. It’s connected to a mesh network and is part of a 5.1 system (which all goes mute at these random points). I can see the light at the top of all devices go green (mute). The sound can start up again if I increase the volume on the app or even if I use Alexa to increase the volume. I have tried to remove the Alexa app as I thought it may be related … but it isn’t. Any advice welcome. I can run a diagnostic
Hi all, I recently got a Beam and I wanted to connect it with my existing S1 system consisting of two Play:1’s.Although the compatibility page (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4786?language=en_US) states that the Beam can work with both S1 and S2, when I try to add it to the existing S1 system I get the the below error. Is there any work around to allow connecting the Beam with my S1 controller? About BeamThis product is only compatible with the Sonos S2 app. It isn’t compatible with your Sonos S1 Controller. You can:Review options for updating your system. Download the Sonos S2 app and set up a separate system with Beam Thanks
Hello all - I have a room with a 60” TV above a fireplace mantel. From TV to back wall is 27’. From center viewing position, right wall (windows) is 6’ to right. There really is not left wall up to 7’ as it is an open concept that spills into a kitchen and hallway. From 7’ to 15’ the left wall is 6’ to left. The ceiling runs at a pitch from 7’ at the right to 15’ feet on the left - again from the viewing position. Basically, it is a long room with a high pitched ceiling. Adding a beam on the mantel (approximately 6’ from floor) made a big difference as compared to the TV speakers. Adding two Ones along back wall and a Sub(3) was nice but really not as big an impact as I was hoping. Downstairs, I have an 80” TV. From TV to back wall is 12’ and from side wall to side wall is about 27’. TV is situated on the right 13.5’ of the room. Drop ceiling height is 12.5’. I just installed an Arc with a Sub (3) and so far so good. Should I relocate the larger Arc to the larger room and
Hello,I have the Sonos app installed on an Iphone XR with lOS 14.2, and many times the app disappears from the lock screen after using the phone for other things and locking it again. In order to have it in the lock screen again I have to kill it and open a new session. Same thing happened in my previous Iphone 6s. This is very annoying and I hope there’s a solution otherwise my opinion on Sonos will definitely fall down, because usability is very poor.thanks
So I recently went with my SONOS move to a holiday trip 3000km away from my home wifi. At home I limited the overall loudness of all devices to 40%. Then I realized, that this limitation/setting persists even in bluetooth mode and there is no way to change this setting to get 100% of the possible volume abroad. I had to reset the whole device to make the limitation disappear. In my option this is a bug and the volume limit should not be persist over Bluetooth and WiFi. As an alternative it may be possible to have two volume limitations. One for the bluetooth mode and one for the WiFi mode. Or the SONOS app becomes able to manage the device even when connected using bluetooth. This problem was also discussed here.
Hi,Whats the differene between Kef, Kplish, Sonance Magr etc vs Sonos Architectural?Besides the big price difference. Trying to understand/justify the huge price difference of Sonos Architectural vs competitor speakrs.
Hi, I have a playbar, sub, 2 play ones & a play 3. I seem to be getting a high pitched noise lately in the background that I have not had before. It seems to be coming from the playbar. I also seem to be having a problem with updating my speakers. Is there also a way to revert back to the S1 app since I have an old play5 speaker gen 1.My diagnostics number is: 1908760806 /Daniel
Hi all,I already have an arc based 5.1 system using a connect:amp to power the rear surround speakers. I’m wondering if there are any plans to provide external amp powered height or ceiling atmos speakers to create a true 5.1.2 system rather than using reflected sound from the arc to produce the additional .2 height effect.
Apologies if this is a daft question, but although I’ve owned Android-based phones for years, I’ve never really had to understand them as I just use them to make phone calls! The question: can the Sonos Android app be persuaded to display in landscape screen orientation? On my phone it only displays (by default) in portrait. Why do I want to know? Because I’m planning to get a small tablet with docking station to use as a remote control, and that can only dock in landscape orientation.
Hi, I have searched and cannot find anything “exactly” the same as my query.I have a very large living room, currently with a traditional 5.1 system setup.I want to change it all and go with a Sonos system.I want the Arc, 1 x sub and 5’s for the rears. I then also want to add some 1’s in other rooms, but, not related to this query. Would the 5’s for rears offer a significant difference over the traditional 1’s for rears in a 5.1 system in a large room please? The main listening we do is standard TV, films, netflix etc, but, we listen to a lot of music also. Thanks in anticipation.
Hello - My parents have a Beam, Sonos One and Sonos Play:1. The idea was to purchase another Play:1 to set up as surround sound (I understand you can’t use the One and Play for surround sound). We just learned the Play is being discontinued so wondering if it’s even worth it to purchase the refurbished version. The other option would be to purchase another One and use that as surround sound. They currently have the One in the kitchen as a separate speaker. Not really sure the best route to go. Kind of frustrated over the situation. I don’t understand why you can’t connect a One and Play as surround sound but that’s another issue.
Does any user have experience of the sBooster BOTW Power & Precision Eco MK II linear power supply upgrade reviewed by The Hans Beekhuyzen Channel on YouTube recently. Apparently a selection of low voltage connector adapter tips are included with the sBooster, I would like to know if one of these does fit the Port. Any information concerning the correct size pin (spec.) of the low voltage connector tip to fit the Port would also appreciated.
Neither Samsung TV that I have is able to play the sound from the Samsung TV. I am plugged into the ARC. I have done diagnostics on the Samsung TV audio. Something between the samsung and the sonos keep switching the input to Receiver from TV Output.
Hello Community. Just received first Sonos so I am learning. I use YouTube TV on my iPad to watch tv. Cord cutter!! Is there a way for my iPad to connect to my Sonos One SL? Thank you!
HelloI’m going to describe the system I have and the needs I would like to continue to take advantage of and also include a product. In doing so, I would very much appreciate your thoughts / advice / suggestions for a new upgraded system. I am going to go product by product in my descriptions and then follow up with questions for each, sometimes grouped. Connect:Amp - used for outside speakers on the EAST side of my house. Connect:Amp - used for outside speakers on the NORTH side of my house. Connect:Amp - used for tall floor standing speakers in my sitting room. Play:5 (Gen 1) - used in living room Play:5 (Gen 1) - used in bedroom 6. Play:5 (Gen 1) - used to ROAM the house/garage 7. Playbar - used in TV room 8. Sub - used in TV room with PlaybarQUESTIONS associated with above components:#1 & 2 components: I have the two Connects (above) so I can turn one pair of speakers off if I wish. If I use both pairs of speakers on one Connect:Amp, I have to have all spe
The Sonos Spotify UI is limited vs direct Spotify, i.e. Recents… Why would a company that makes hdwr limit the apps that they try to facilitate in their own host app? Why do I need the sonos app to manage my music that is already managed in Spotify? Sonos is just another layer of software that has limited value added. Seems its purpose is to monitor my Sonos Move use.
I have specific playlists created in Music in OSx (iMac). I want to access these playlists via the iOS Sonos app and play them thru Sonos speakers. (Speakers are not AirPlay compatible). How do I do this? I don’t need access to the complete Music Library on the iMac. Just specific playlists.Thank you for your support.
I've had my Arc for about 2 weeks now. It's in the basement so not in constant use. Three times now I've gone down and the Arc is unresponsive. It won't play any audio (it's hooked up to a TV via ARC) and when I open the Sonos app it simply is gone and the sub it’s paired with is showing as unpaired. Pressing play on the Arc does nothing. I have to unplug it and re-plug it back in to get it working again. I have no idea what's happening or what to do next to troubleshoot? Anyone else having this issue?
Hi. For a few years i have had 2 play:1 connected to my playbase, but for some reason they have disconnected and I cannot get them to connect again.
