Hi what is the best media player for Sonos home theater and projector, does Apple TV airplay audio to Sonos and connect hdmi to projector?
I am using Apple Music with Sonos and have many songs in a playlist. I would like to sort or search the songs so I can find and remove duplicate songs. If this is not available, please consider it in a future release!
Hello,I’m considering getting the wall mounts to use as rears with a pair of Sonos One SL’s. The cord that comes with them is too short to use to go along the wall to the power outlets at floor level.I want to get a pair of wires that I can connect to my speakers and then run along the wall down the outlets. I see some online that you can use to replace ones that come with the speakers. Can anyone recommend ones that you use in this scenario? Thanks!
Currently I have an optical connection from Sky mini to Beam via HDMI converter. HDMI goes to TV.When watching Netflix/Disney/Amazon via Sky, surround sound 5.1 is only available via HDMI output not optical output. Is it possible to get a HDMI splitter with audio going to the beam ARC connection? I do not want to go ARC via TV, as TV plumbed into wall. Thanks
Dear Sonos Product Managers and Upper Management, You’ve successfully added me as a new convert to your ecosystem thanks to the Arc and you’ve gotten a decent chunk of change out of me already for the Arc plus a Sub 3 plus 2 One SLs plus a couple of wall mounts. I’m super happy with it all because it sounds great, was easy to set up, and because I didn’t have to run even an inch of speaker wire. Now, want to sell me some more speakers? Update the Arc firmware to support a 7.1.2 system. You’re already decoding Dolby Digital Plus (which supports 7.1 channels) and processing Atmos on the Arc, so is it that big of a deal to add a couple of extra channels to the network? Or how about that extra RAM and processing power in the Sub 3? It can’t be doing that much right now - put it to use. And since the Arc doesn’t have to support the physical amplification of the additional surrounds, it should be a snap! Of course, I’m sure this is either MUCH more complicated than I’m making it (in th
Hi I have a Sonos Move and a Sonos Beam, and I am considering also buying the Sonos Sub, and maybe even a pair of Sonos Ones to make a 5.1 stereo sound system. However, I realized that I could potentially buy another Sonos Move and pair it with my first one to use as the rear stereo speakers with my Sonos Beam. However I am not sure whether this is possible. Does anyone know if you can use a paid of Sonos Moves as a the rears with a Sonos Beam in a 5.1 channel set up?Thanks
Hi there,I would appreciate some guidance on how I could sort out a number of problems with my Sonos system. Around 9 years ago I installed 4 No connect amps driving 4 pairs of ceiling speakers in 4 different rooms. Around 5 years ago I added a soundbar and used this with the connect amp/pair of speakers in the living room to provide TV surround sound (this was never very successful). The system is currently running off the S1 App on an IPad. I have the following problems: A while ago the soundbar stopped working with the TV (Panasonic TX-50CX680B), I now rely on just the TVs speakers This has resulted in that I am unable to use the ceiling speakers in the living room, sound only comes from the soundbar We have now just lost connection to the connect amp/ceiling speakers in another room (no sound)I am struggling to find a way of sorting this out. It maybe better to disconnect/reset the whole system and then run through the set up as if it was a new system. Any help you can provide
It took me a long time to figure this out but when music is played on Sonos via a voice assistant command then lock screen controls and notification shade controls on Android don't show up. This happens even if you open the Sonos app and view that room. If you initiate playback selection from the Sonos controller itself it will in fact show up on the lock screen and in a notification shade. it would be great if the lock screen and notification shade controls show up regardless of where the music playback was initiated.
First of all, I am pleased with AMP (non Connect) performance (and quality) driving B&W 803 series 3 and connected 3rd party SubWoofer. But I noticed that SONOS is more focused on its ARC than recent other products. So I wonder, if we as SONOS AMP customers are left in the dark on future features/support/etc...Feature request;Phantom speaker, ability to manually focus center and or volume level. Dolby Atmos (compressed) support over Dolby Digital + AMP should be able with its memory and CPU power to wireless drive additional SONOS/Symfoniks as Atmos speakers. Some Room calibration with non SONOS speakers, distance input, db level, etc… S1 on Play5 gen1 and AMP supported HiRES 24bit/48kHz FLAC's , S2 did not bring any additional HiRES support on AMP. 24bit/192kHz FLAC support on AMP / S2So I regret I did firmware/OS upgrade from S1 to S2 on AMP.S2 did not bring any additional audio/quality support.
Hi Folks, I have been using SONOS for a number of years. We have players in several rooms. We use SONOS as our alarm clock. We want the same selected group of speakers to play the same radio show (so they will be in sync) when the alarm goes off. When we set the alarm we check “Include selected Speakers” which I though meant the speakers presently selected and expected SONOS to remember but it does not. Through the course of the day the groups change and evolve according to user needs, At the end of the day the day the group is never the same as the one we want in the morning. SONOS does not remember what we want, it simply plays any speakers that happen to have been left grouped with the speaker in the master bedroom. This leads to the same scenario every morning: the alarm goes off in the master bedroom, I stumble to the kitchen in my pajamas (cursing myself for forgetting to sleep with my cell phone), I stumble around trying to find my eye glasses and then look for the cellp
If I clear a promo or suggestion once don't show it to me again. I spent a lot of money on Sonos products and don't want to be bombarded by never ending up sells.
If I have an Apple TV connected to my television using a Sonos Beam as audio out, will I have to disconnect the Beam if I use two HomePods wirelessly connected to the Apple TV? Or will the Apple TV automatically output audio via the HomePods and not the Beam?
Does anybody recommend a decent HDMI switch that can pass Dolby Atmos through to the ARC. I have a bluray player that converts DTS to Dolby Digital and ideally would want HDMI cable from that to run into ARC along with a second one from TV (for my Atmos and DD5.1 sources) That way I don't need to keep manually swapping Arc HDMI input everytime I watch a DTS movie Thanks in advance
My problem When I try to increase the volume on my Sonos system, it will go up temporarily and then - after a delay of a second or two - automatically lower to a relatively quiet level. If I try to increase the volume again, it does the same thing. Rinse. Repeat. My setupI have a Beam connected via wi-fi to two Ones. They’re all sitting relatively close to one another on my mantle (each of the Ones is maybe a foot and a half away from the Beam). The Beam is attached to my roughly five-year-old Vizio television via HDMI ARC (not using the optical adapter). I have a Google Chromecast connected to the TV via another HDMI port, and the Chromecast is also connected to my wi-fi network. The TV itself is not connected to the internet via wi-fi or ethernet.Further contextThe problem happens when I try to increase the volume on videos playing through the connected Chromecast/TV (Netflix/YouTube/Amazon Video/etc.) as well as on music played through the Sonos system directly using the Spotify app.T
Dear mr or mrs,I have recently purchased the new Sonos move and connected it to my system. However, since then it has made the rest of my pre-existing Sonos system disappear. I have reset multiple speakers multiple times but nothing seems to work. Is there anything I can do?Many thanks,Jamie
Hello there,I want to buy a VPN for streaming and gaming. I have shortlisted these VPNs. What's your opinion about these:- Pure VPN 86% off on 10 devices for 5 years.- Nord VPN 68% off for 2 years.- Express VPN 35% off for 1 year only.TIA
HI I want to listen to music on my PC and then be able to stream it wirelessly to my Sonos one speaker pair. However I can not find a way todo this and the only way is to stream it from my phone to the speakers or use the SONOS APP :-/ I use Amazon music on my PC and would ideally like to be able to send the output from Amazon (on my PC) to my Sonos speakers. At present I have to use my £19.99 speakers from Currys which do a far better job than my £500 pair from sonos. So in other words all I want todo is the most basic of tasks and that is play music on my PC and then onto my Sonos one speakers pair without having to use the Sonos app and wirelessly. Can this simple task be achieved some how? Thanks
We had the Playbar, Sub and Move all setup nicely, then one day nothing worked.I’ve tried literally everything to get the system to work :(IOS app:!Update problemthere was a problem during the update of your Sonos system.Select ‘Try again’ to repeat the update.Doesn’t work. Error 1101– Followed ALL steps, several times over.– Ethernet AND wifi connected, same issue. Mac OSX app:Same issue as above. Wifi and Ethernet are working sweet, 3-400mb/s on Wifi and 900mb+ on ethernet. No idea what to do, getting ready to throw it all in the trash :(
First-time Sonos purchaser here. I am buying my first home that is coming with four previously installed third party in-ceiling speakers (FL, BL, FR, BR - the setup is essentially the same as what was discussed here). I am interested in purchasing a Beam/Arc and an Amp to power the four in-ceiling speakers.Goal: I want to be able to use all four speakers and the Beam/Arc to play sound from my TV (HDMI Arc compatible) and to play Spotify from my iPhone through the wifi. TV(s) is mostly used for streaming sports/movie through web browser on either Samsung TV itself or through Xbox One, have access to Netflix, Amazon, and other streaming services (I don’t know if streaming through web browser as opposed to a streaming app, or from an Xbox One as opposed to the TV itself effects surround sound capabilities). I have never had true surround sound before, so as of now I prefer volume over surround. The previous owner has also left behind a Polk Audio sub (not sure what size, how old it is, or
I have 3 kids who have Amazon Music through a family plan. I want to add all of their plans to my Sonos so they can have their music available on our Sonos (several speakers through out the house).Every time i try to add a new service and log them in, it fails. It takes me to the Amazon login, i log them in and get this message (in red, so i assume it’s bad)“Your login can only be used on the Amazon Shopping app, or by logging in to Amazon.com online”Has anyone got their family accounts working? (not other adults, but your kids)Thanks,JM
I just purchased a new home and two of the rooms included hardwired ceiling mounted surround speakers. Both speaker sets are of decent quality albeit slightly dated. One room has a Definitive Technology Procinema 600 system which includes a powered sub, a passive center speaker, and four ceiling mounted passive surround speakers. Impedance is 8 ohms. The other room has a Bose Acoustimass 10 system. That speaker set is a similar setup as the other room except every speaker including the subwoofer is passive. I do not have power amps or receivers for either room. I have been using the Sonos ecosystem in my prior home with multiple Sonos One speakers throughout and a Sonos Connect that was hooked up to a powered soundbar and used for phono line-in. I would like these rooms connected to my Sonos ecosystem and it seems to make sense to use these existing speakers rather than replacing them with new speakers considering wiring is already run through the walls and ceiling to the surrou
I just recently got my Arc SL from Costco and a set of One SLs for surrounds. I (temporarily) relocated my Sub from another room and connected them all together. Everything sounds great and I’m very happy so far. Last night we were listening to some music and the bass seemed a bit underwhelming, which is not the norm for the powerhouse that is the Sub. I hadn’t changed any of my settings since I added the surrounds this past weekend, so I was wondering what was up. I went into the settings and started trying to increase the bass and sub levels to see if that helped, but it didn’t really. Just made it “louder” without making it as “present” as I felt it should. The One’s were sounding a bit too loud for music, so I went to turn them down and while I was in there I flipped them from Ambient to Full and then my bass was back! The sub came alive again. So my question - is this normal? When I had the Sub upstairs with my Playbar and a set of Play:1s, I never experienced this lack o
Anyone got any tips on how to pair Arc with a Samsung TV? I’m using the ARC HDMI port and have turned on Anynet + on the TV setup but still no joy. The ARC is working fine with Alexa for streaming music but not working with the TV.
Purchased arc and sub on sept 27th any status on shipping ? Any ideas on when backorder will be filled? No dates at all posted
We just created a number of playlists. Only the first 8 show up on the iPhone app in the Favorites (the only place I seem to be able to find the playlists).
