How can I override the request for an airplay code from the iPhone podcast app?
I’ve scoured the community for an answer to this, and all I see is the recommendation to check my smart tv and disable passwords (none are enabled) or to factory reset, which I prefer not to do. Is there someplace in the Sonos app or on iPhone settings I can control this? I don’t even see Airplay on my settings list on my iPhone 12. Thanks!
Roam, Sonos Voice Control, and Pandora
A Roam as my first piece of Sonos Voice Controlled hardware. I find that SVC works fine for controlling Sonos Radio, but not for accessing content from my Pandora account, which I have set as my default service. All I get is “we’re having trouble connecting to your music provider, please try again later.” I have removed and reinstalled SVC and also reauthorized access to my Pandora account from Sonos, but to no avail. Suggestions?
Intercom feature request
Hey! Since many of your products have both speaker and microphone in the same device, would it be impossible to contact two (or more of these) in a “call” with each other? Apparently Sonos isn’t able to use Amazon Alexa drop in feature (because of missing blinking LEDs or something?), but could you perhaps make it’s own intercom feature for multiroom homes with multiple speakers? Just use Sonos Voice Control instead of Alexa/Google Assistant to enable this feature so you wouldn’t be affected by other companies like Amazon? I know I’m not alone wanting badly this feature without use of any additional echo devices. Sincerely yours,Aksulotli
Sonos Controller App - Add Voice Control
I use the Sonos Voice Control feature and really enjoy it. I have a Move with a microphone, but my Roam and two Connects don’t have mics. I’d like to be able to use the Voice Control feature via the Sonos controller app on my phone to control all my Sonos products (the Move is in another part of the house that doesn’t always pickup voice commands).
Sonos Voice Control doesn't stay enabled?
So I just got an Arc, along with the Sub and surrounds. This is first week I’m using it. I’m amazed I don’t see this more often on these threads, am I the only one whose Sonos Voice Control goes in and out? I have gone through three straight conversations with customer service the last three days about this, and no resolution. They get close but no cigar and tweaked a bunch of settings. I assume the microphone light should always be on so it can always hear your wake up command, but often it turns off, even when it’s playing music. They’ve tried everything. I’ll give it another day and then plan to get it replaced. Overall I think the system is really cool, but this is starting to get annoying.

possible to set a preferred music provider?
Hi everyone - Like many, I have multiple streaming services, but would like Apple Music to be the primary service searched when using Sonos voice controls. How do I get Sonos voice to first look for music on Apple Music vs. Amazon? Specifying via voice control doesn’t work 100% of the time…
Sonos Voice Control keeps asking that I reauthorize my Deezer account
Hi everyone,I’m trying to set up Sonos Voice Control with Deezer, but I’m unable to.Every time I try to search Deezer music via voice control, I get the error that I have to reauthorize my Deezer account in the Sonos app.I have done that multiple times (successfully), but the error does not go away. I’m unable to search Deezer library via voice control.I also tried to remove and add Deezer account altogether, but it didn’t help. I also tried to remove and add again Sonos Voice control. However, when I play the Deezer music manually with the Sonos app, basic voice controls such as “next track” and similar work ok.Thank for your help and I’ll be glad to provide any more info if necessary.

Sonos voice control keeps telling me it has issues connection to my music provider
Hey there, I don’t like to use services like Alexa or google because they exploiting my data. That’s why I would like to use Sonos voice control but it doesn’t work for me yet.I just replaced my Playbar with the arc and activated sonos voice control. Unfortunately no matter what I ask - except the time, it can’t do it. When I ask to just play music I get „Having issues connection to your music provider, please try again later“… When just use the app all works fine. Sonos Voice: Sorry, your Amazon Music subscription does not allow you to play this content
I’m using Sonos Voice Assistant with Amazon Music. A few days ago, it suddenly stopped working. Almost any content I request gets denied. For instance, I say “Hey Sonos, play Michael Jackson”. Unfortunately, the answer is (almost?) always “Sorry, your Amazon Music subscription does not allow you to play this content.”. I don’t have Amazon Music Unlimited, but Prime Music. It used to work just fine. Furthermore, it does still work if I choose the same content via the Sonos app or the Amazon Music app. Thus, I guess this is an issue with the Sonos Voice Assistant. Maybe it got something to do with the latest changes for Amazon Music, which increased the number of available songs from 2M to 100M I think? I already removed the Amazon Music service from the Sonos app and re-added it. Didn’t change anything.
The only "Controlling Sonos with an Amazon Speaker/Alexa" thread you'll ever need!
I know there are tons of topics and megathreads explaining how to control your Sonos system using an Amazon speaker/Alexa however they all seem fragmented with different procedures and troubleshooting steps and are daunting to try and get through. I wanted to detail out the method that finally worked for me (and that Sonos Tier 1 tech support never reviewed with me).I am a custom integrator and at some point I found out that some of my customer’s Sonos systems no longer worked in conjunction with an Amazon speaker that had previously worked just fine. For example saying “Alexa, play some holiday music” to an Echo Dot with holiday music following in the associated Sonos zone...this stopped working at some point. This was no good as they had adapted to this simple method of playing music through their Sonos systems by simply telling it to.I am not referring to setting up Alexa on an Alexa-enabled Sonos speaker w/ a built-in mic (ARC, BEAM, ONE) as that seems very stable. I am referring t
Is there a way to use google assistant or alexa rather than Sonos voice. I only have one option to select a voice assistant and it is Sonos own voice assistant. I want to load alexa up or Google assistant? I used to have Google assistant on my Sonos but wanted to change it over to alexa and now I cant load any other assistant. Any info to get it working again
Sonos Voice Control + Apple Music: error "file not encoded properly"
HelloI’m a bit puzzled by an issue which started just few days ago (can’t pinpoint exactly when).I’ve been using Sonos Voice Control since it’s been released on a Sonos Roam and Sonos One to stream from my Apple Music, and it’s been working perfectly fine. Then suddenly, when requesting a specific song, I started to see error in the app “Unable to play song xxx, file not encoded correctly”, and nothing plays. The song is recognised and added properly to the queue, but can’t play. Pressing play button in the app at that stage gives the same error. If I then try to search the same song through the app and play it, it works perfectly fine. So it’s really just when finding the song through voice assistant that it doesn’t work.If there’s nothing in the queue to start with and I just say “Hey Sonos, play music” (so nothing specific), it starts playing from my “station” and it works well… I tried to remove Sonos Voice Assistant and re-add it, I tried to remove Apple Music and re-add it, I tried
