Massive house makeover on the horizon, Sonos Arc looks like it ticks all of the boxes for the TV room along with the sub and a couple of 1SL’s up the rear, but my kitchen and garden need an audio solution to. Hmm, 4 1SL’s and a Sub should work in a 484 square feet kitchen diner space, right?I enter into the negotiation with the wife. “You want to spend £4000 on speakers” was her first question. Well yeah babes, course I do. She uses her 1SL all the time, moves it from room to room, even the garden in the summer so SONOS seems an obvious choice. Wireless, WiFi, fuss free, you get what you pay for in this day and age, yeah? Well, until I try to play music off my S10+ from YouTube and fail miserably. Why isn’t my 1SL in the list of devices I can cast to? This should be easy right?OK so I went around the bizarres with the sales team. I’m not speaking to anyone in the US, that’s for sure. I follow their advice about adding YouTube Music to my services, only to be met with the access denied

We want to use Sonos 24/7 in three of our rooms but only 8-6 in 10 others. Is there a way to program this automatically?

I use a Shelly Button1 to control my SOSOS system and it works greate. If you have or buy a Rassbery pi and install (https://github.com/jishi/node-sonos-http-api) you can do magic without having to use the SONOS App. I think it takes to long time get the phone, start App, and then click you to the right Radio channel. Now you do that with one click on Shelly Button1. Very nice. Shelly and SONOS in a great combination.

We have Sonos, Google Home,  Google assistant or dot and Spotify amongst others.  Why can we not connect  Sonos to Google Home when we are English speaking,  but resident in Portugal? Look forward to receiving an answer to this.  Everything else here is interconnected.   

It’s been 5 weeks since I was able to successfully connect to Airplay on my Play:5’s and three Play:1’s...all upstairs...all on the same wifi network. This worked until it didn’t. I’ve: Factory-reset all of the offending speakers, choosing different names than they were before. Completely reset my Orbi router and satellite and built the network up from scratch, including over 50 smarthome devices. Restarted every device on the network. Moved the devices that DON’T work downstairs to sit next to the devices that DO work. Moved the non-working speakers to every area of the house with a power outlet in an attempt to get a “better(?)” wifi connection. I have purchased two Boosts (one for the downstairs, the other for upstairs). It didn’t make Airplay work and even made network connectivity worse than before. (I have since disconnected both of those and continue to regret that purchase.) None of this brought me any joy even as Airplay continues to function perfectly on those speakers

I’ve had my Samsung Family Hub with integrated display for a year now.  I have seen more music services come to it (including Spotify) - When will Sonos support the Samsung Family Hub?   This would be a terrific addition as I have Sonos throughout my home - and suspect a lot of other people own both Sonos and the Samsung Family Hub.    Please advise - Thanks! 

I have an Apple TV 4K and use a stereo pair of Sonos Ones for audio via Airplay 2. Problem is, the audio output on the Apple TV never stays set to the Sonos, so I always have to manually switch it back via the control center, which is quite cumbersome when you have to do it constantly. What I’m looking for is a shortcut that would allow me to tell the ATV to switch its audio output to that group of Sonos speakers to avoid needing to do this every time. I’m running the iOS 14 beta, which does have several more options for controlling the Apple TV, but I still do not see a way to do this. Do any of you Shortcuts wizards know of a way to do this?

Hello.   I updated to 11.1 yesterday, and it now appears IFTTT integration has stopped working. When I try to edit an existing applet or create a new one, I receive an error that IFTTT cannot connect to the service. I’m not sure if these two events are linked, but is anyone else experiencing IFTTT issues after updating to 11.1?

Hi everyone,  Has anyone had any experience of successfully setting up a Beam AND a Hue Sync Box on one HDMI CEC/ARC output? I have a Beam connected to my LG 43UH661V via the HDMI-CEC port on the back of the TV. As you know this gives me Alexa voice control to switch the TV on, off, etc. I want to keep this Alexa functionality (so using the optical port is out of the question) and add a Philips Hue Sync Box to the setup. The Sync Box also required an HDMI ARC or CEC connection but I only have one on the back the the tele.

Can the soundbar be plugged into the TV and still work with the hue lights via the Sync Box?  If not can the soundbar even be plugged into the Sync Box?

I have two 1st generation Sonos Amp and two Connect devices and four Lutron Audio Pico remotes. The Sonos Amps are used for ceiling speakers in the main living space, each powering 2 sets of speakers which are set up as a Group on the Sonos app.  I would like all four remotes to control the group volume.  However, the remotes only control the volume of a single amp but they all control an on-off function and playlist selection of both amps.  Is it possible to have all remotes control the volume of both amps when they are grouped together?   I have tried to troubleshoot on the Lutron side.  The remote device can only be paired with one device, in this case one amp.  The app does not allow me to pair with more than one amp.  

Is there a plan to develop an Apple TV app?  The tvOS and IOS are very similar.  Then we wouldn’t have all the problems with play with Airplay crapping out if it the sound is coming from the Apple TV.   I really hate using airplay to start/stop music from the phone because all sound goes thru airplay thereafter.  It actually is backwards.  I originally bought Sonos so that music wouldn’t be interrupted by a phone call or text sounds like with bluetooth. They lasted for the first few years but now sonos is worse than bluetooth because all the sound is gone from the phone.  Unlike MACOS.. I can pick and choose where music plays in airplay to include keeping the music audio on the MAC at the same time.   So if the Apple TV has its own APP maybe my frustrations will be eased at bit.  Or a Samsung APP… 

Hello,   I want to use the sonos amp for all my areas - Kitchen - LivingRoom - and Patio TOTAL 3 AMPS :   Can I integrate The Sonos amp with Apple Homekit? How is the experience Switching Zones and Adding them together?

I have a feeling this isn’t possible but let’s see :) If I buy a TV that is airplay 2 compatible, would that mean that the sound of the TV would come out of the Sonos Move? Or does it just mean that the TV can connect to the phone (which is what I think will happen). Thanks.

I live in Jersey which should come under uk so expect my sonos move voice control to connect to my Alexa but I can't find the option in the Service & Voice menu in the sonos settings. I can play music etc through all my sonos devices using my Echo dot I just can't seem to get it working the other way around. 

My Sonos system is integrated through Savant.  It works very well with S1.  Now before I update my Sonos devices to S2 (all of them are eligible to update) I was wondering if somebody with a similar integration setup updated to S2 and what was the outcome?  I am wondering if it can mess up the integration between the Sonos and Savant systems.   All the previous Sonos firmware updates went smoothly as far as my Savant integration is concerned.  But this S2 update seems to be a bigger leap.   Thank you.

Had my fingers crossed that with the new features and usability updates promised with the new Sonos S2 app that one of those features would finally be an Apple Watch controller. With our outdoor speakers, having the ability to control at least the most basic of functions such as volume, play, pause and skip are at the very top of my list. I can wear my watch in a pool or hot tub but not my phone. Now that S2 has finally arrived, and the only new “feature” I see is Groups, I’m rather disappointed. I am still hopeful, however, that Sonos hears this plea a native Apple Watch app in the near future. Previously I was able to use an “okay” 3rd party app for control on the Apple Watch but now, with S2, I don’t even have that option presently.

Will the harmony hub continue to function if i upgrade to S2, or will it stop to function? I do not want to upgrade if my harmony remote can no longer controll it?

I am both an avid Sonos (hardware) fan and also a Control4 user who loves to program in Composer. I'm wondering how / where I can submit feature requests to re-enable a VERY important feature in the Sonos API. And that is... the ability to replace the queue when we are calling different playlists in programming. If Playlist A is currently in the queue, and I don't manually go into the sonos app and clear the queue first, when I call Playlist B in programming (from a custom button, voice control, etc) it will MERGE Playlist B randomly into the queue alongside Playlist A's songs. I understand that this topic has been hotly debated for some time on what the DEFAULT handling of the situation should be. And, although I still disagree that the majority of people would ever want to merge playlists into a queue by default... I do respect the decision by the devs to be diligent in keeping the default behavior consistent. However, i do not understand why you would REMOVE the ability to cle

Glad to see the new sub-forum. My Sonos speakers are an integral part of my Smart Home, which has been built around SmartThings (and webCore) but also utilizes IFTTT, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Hi all Im desperately trying to figure out how to get my samsung android phone & tablet non music (eg netflix, prime, you tube, itv etc) played through the 2x sonos ones g2 i just bought.  Trying to crack this before investing anymore in sonos systems.  The sonos move is the only sonos with blue tooth which gave me an idea.... Couple of questions: 1) firstly I'm assuming in blue tooth mode the move will connect to my android (samsung) tablet like a standard blue tooth speaker, and play non music like i want?  2) if the answer to the above is yes. Then in bluetooth mode can the move connect to my future sonos speakers (two ones g2, a sub, and a soundbar) which obviously aren't blue tooth? Could the move be the audio source (via bluetooth) to play (push audio) across multiple rooms / speaker groups?  Ps, any other ideas very welcome.  Thanks in advance Suzie         

When I want to add IFTTT to Sonos I get the error message: Error accessing the service. It won't load the rooms. What I already tried : - Set IFTTT-Sonos on my android phone, also the same problem - Disconnect Sonos and IFTTT and enable it again On the webpage the https://ifttt.com/activity/service/sonos I can see the service is connected. Can anyone help me?

Hi!   New owner introduced to the Sonos family as of this weekend, picked up a pair of One SL’s to be used in the garage. Previously I’ve been an all HomePod guy.    So here is my issue, and let me know if this is simply just not a feature of non-Apple speakers via AirPlay. With my HomePods, I have each designated to specific rooms - and to play I hit the AirPlay button, scroll to select desired room, browse music and play. By this method, all sound is completely separated from my phone, IE: if I wanted to pull up YouTube the sound will go through my phone and the music will be uninterrupted on the speakers. Also, adjusting my phones volume with the buttons will do just that, adjust my phones volume and not the speaker volume. I figured this would be exactly how it would work on a non-Apple speaker when connected to HomeKit. To my dismay, my ‘Garage’ room completely disappeared from the AirPlay toggle once I removed my HomePod from that room and added the two Sonos One’s. The only way

I currently have a Control 4 audio Matrix and i am instead moving to smart tvs and would love to work in sonos to drive the platform instead of the tightly managed Control 4 system.   Here is what i currently have: 3 total 6 zone 225w amps  Total of 18 pairs of speakers (in ceiling or wall) powered by these amps I could possibly combine some of the zones if needed and am trying to see how i can use my existing amps so not to buy antoher one. I see that the “Port” could be used, however, that seems like a VERY expensive proposition to make that work with this setup.   Any insight? Thanks in advance - Tim

Why doesn’t my Sonos speaker appear the same way my HomePods and my Apple TV do in the control center? This means that I can only AirPlay to the Sonos speaker from other devices. Is this by design or is it a Sonos limitation?
