Since the new Arc Ultra has Bluetooth, would I be able to play spatial audio tracks from my iPad directly to it instead of using Apple Music? I would like to play my own produced tracks, not Apple Music songs and there wasn’t a way to do it with the original Arc.

Will One SL speakers be damaged if played at 20 degrees to F?

I recently purchased an Arc soundbar & Sub(Gen3) and wanted to connect my existing speakers to the Arc. Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a Sonos Arc, which came with an HDMI cable. I have a Rockefish $30 HDMI cable, “ultra high speed”, and “Dynamic HDR”.  I assume that the cable included with the Arc is already optimized, and I can return the Rocketfish cable.  But thought I’d check in with the community first; any benefit to using the fancy-pants cable over what Sonos included in the box?

Is it possible to stereo pair a sonos roam SL to Sonos roam or Sonos roam 2?

Hi,Does anyone know the latest version of the Mac/OS S1 Controller.  I am currently running 11.14 Build 572150280 and am being encouraged to update to a download version called Sonos_57.22-59130.dmg.I can find no release notes nor any info on this update on the Sonos website or the App Store.  I have been running S1 for some time, having managed to downgrade from S2 a while back.  The system has been running fine since that time and has never been updated, but is is recently prone to dropouts of several seconds duration every 15 minutes or so.  Reset of my entire Sonos setup and Wifi mesh system has not improved the situation.Grateful for any info on the latest S1 update.  Wild horses couldn’t drag me back to S2!Thanks in advance.

I create playlists separately and dump them all in a folder that is indexed by the Sonos music indexer. These are simple .m3u files in their own directory with a full pathname. Some of the playlists load and play fine. For others, the player spins a bit before it gives up with “Unable to browse music.” It is therefore not a problem with how the playlists are formatted. I know for a fact that songs in the “unable to browse” playlists are in fact correctly indexed in Sonos; I can play them if I navigate to the relevant folder, and can find them by artist. It is therefore not a problem with access to the files. So why are some playlists ok and others not?Environment: Desktop - macOS Monterey; App - Sonos Controller vers. 16.4.2 (up to date, as per check for updates); build 81158074.NB - There is a thread that addresses “Unable to browse music” but it’s several months old and it seems to be resolved.

I keep getting conflicting messages and stories with the following issue. On my music share some albums (they are compilation or what the system defines as that) show up in strange ways :For example:Album x with tracks 1-10 will show up 10 times with one track in each album.  Or it will show up 10 times with more than one track in random order. Or it will show up blankAnother thing that is not mentioned by Sonos is whether they will put back alphabetical indexation. With 2000 albums, it’s virtually impossible to browse otherwise.Non of these issues are mentioned on any of the information that Sonos give out about updates, present and forthcoming. Sonos support up top tier 2 sometimes say it is an issue sometimes not. So I would like to know if this is being looked into and something might be done. I use the system to play my music and with these problems it is virtually unusable.

I was renting a couple of years  between houses with most of my kit in store but I kept out 2x Play1 and 1x Play3. Been in the new place since April and getting the rest of my S1 system to setup - 2x ZP100, 2x ZP80, 1x Connect Amp.It seems only the Play1s & 3 can access my music library on Synology 416slim NAS. The others will play if I link them with one of the Plays. Tried deleting and adding the library again.I was aware of various threads on the Synology re SMB and had downgraded to SMB1 in the past but not working again. Saw this thread about making firmware edits on Synology  and really don’t want to go there - really ought not to need to go there - and I see some people saying it has reverted or no longer works! Sure I could probably plough through and see if it works but it kind of defeats the purpose of a supposed CONSUMER system.I only really need 4z zones - do I ditch this **** and go buy some Wiim or similar or am I just gonna encounter different problems?

How can I add a song to my existing playlist

Hi,My system is updated to the latest available version.I'm using the latest Android app 80.12.04-release+20241114.cfc873c. My system language is set to French.I'm using Pocket Casts as a service to listen to podcast episodes.I can add episodes to the list from the “New Releases” section, but it fails from the “Podcasts” one. It's working using the app on Windows. Screenshots:My list of podcasts in the Podcasts section:Selecting a podcast:(You can see there is a problem too with the date of every episode on this screen. It's the same with my other podcasts' list of episodes. “1 janv. 10000000000” is “January 1st, 10000000000” = 10000000000-01-01.)The context menu for the latest episode (first in the list), via a long press:Adding to the end of the current playlist:It fails:(Translation of the message in the grey background: “Impossible to add to list”) The same process for the “New Releases” section:(The message is now “Added to the list”). It's not a problem of messages, it really succ

my playbar is “blowing” with bass. I’ve opened the case and all 4 of the outer speakers are not sealed around the top. (between 11 amd 1 on a clock face) what can i do to rectify?

I am having great difficulty getting Sonos Voice Control to recognize the name of a couple of radio stations. (using SVC on ARC, Roam, and Roam2).When I ask it to ‘Play Radio RNZ Concert’ (which is available on Sonos Radio, and I have it as a favourite) it either says ‘I can’t find that content’ or ‘you need to subscribe to service that has that’ or plays some random R&B…(This happens even when I pronounce the ‘z’ as ‘zee’ as opposed to its proper pronunciation ‘zed’)!I have tried renaming the station in my favourites to simply ‘Concert’ but still no joy.So two questions -Any idea why SVC won’t recognise the name RNZ Concert (or RNZ National for that matter), and how to overcome this? If I rename a station in favourites, do I use the station’s ‘real’ name, or my given nickname when requesting it through SVC? PS if I manually select the station, and ask what station is playing it says ‘AR EN ZEE Concert’ - so it appears to know the name)…With thnaks,Uptix

My sub needed to be reset after moving.  The factory reset is not working. It flashes orange but never turns green.  How can I add it to my system ?

Before I activate my 15% off Upgrade Offer, does anyone know if it will take 15% off the Black Friday sales, or do they not stack? Thanks.

Trying to update and I get a message saying “There was a problem checking for updates” I’ve turned all units and the wifi router off and on again. Same error message.  I see all Sonos units on the app (I’m using an iPhone). The next step appears to be “close and reopen the Sonos app”. On the iPhone I can “remove app” then “delete app” which gives me the message “deleting the app will also delete its data”. Should I do this? Will I lose all the products currently set up...and anything else?? Any advice about this update failure gratefully received!

Hello. Problem with playing the Sonos connect amp. When you turn on playback, there is an instant sound and then disappears. As if the sound mute mode is turned on.I can send you a video of the problem.

I can no longer go into system settings🤷🏽‍♂️. Can’t adjust volume, EQ, etc. network is up to date?not sure why this is happening.

I'm wondering if Sonos can make a product that has Powerline network capability, in that way, you can connect your device anywhere to the power outlet and it connects to the network available on the place using the electricity directly to the router ?

I have the Sonos App I just downloaded.  And trying to set up my Play 1s (I have 2 of them).  I’m trying to change the network connection from tethered Ethernet to Wifi.  It’s looking for unit that is plugged in and can only find a sound bar looking unit/ equipment.  Why the heck does Sonos not just make it default to WiFi after set up?  And why is the wifi or Ethernet option so imbedded in the system’s setting?  Should just be able to click on the speaker 🔈 on the app and toggle from Wifi to Ethernet.  Who the heck is designing the software… user interface sucks!  Not intuitive.   For now I have one speaker tethered to my router.  Sonos is supposed to be wireless?  Ain’t that the big ploy?  Mission?   I’m 2 hours into setting up these old Sonos Play 1s.  And still not the perfect outcome.  Have factory reset it 3x… of which, why does it take over a minute of holding down the power button to factory reset?  I miss the days of the pin 📌 hole and you just pin 📍 to reset.iIf someone ca

I have 2 era 300s. Do I need 2 sonos inline adapters to connect them to a turn table?Thank you

Hi there! I have a TP-Link AX1500 (main router), a TP-Link RE505x (range extender), 2 x Era 100s (one directly above main router with a turntable fed via USB-C - AUX, and the other 5-10 metres away on a bookshelf). I also have a Move 2, which usually sits about 15-20 metres from the main router and about 5 metres from the extender. I’ve noticed that when the speakers are grouped together, (or I’m using only the Move 2 in its primary location stated above) live radio streams lose connection for 5-15 seconds at a time (I stream NTS radio, MyTunerRadio, and The Lot Radio quite a bit, so dropouts are unaccepteable). Spotify is totally okay! Since turning off my range extender, I have managed to more or less completely alleviate the dropouts (funnily enough the signal level doesn’t seem to be any weaker anyway on the Move 2 with the extender off - which is the one speaker in the network that would need some support from the extender, which leads me to believe the Move 2 may have been ignori

I purchased an L-Sonos Roam in Switzerland in November 2023 and have since moved to another European country. The battery on the Sonos has never really worked well, sometimes it would turn on and sometimes not. But until now, I have been too busy to deal with it.My question is, how do I return it using the 2 year warranty? I have tried calling the customer service number but there are no options for returns, I tried the online chat, but the bot can’t help and said that there were no agents available to help. I have tried looking online but cannot find what I need.So if any of you can help, I would appreciate it.Thanks

Ik kan een Sonos one niet koppelen aan andere Sonos speakers. Krijg telkens de melding dat er geen verbinding gemaakt kan worden. De Sonos one kan ik wel alleen laten spelen…Moderator edit:Google Translate-I can't connect a Sonos one to other Sonos speakers. I keep getting the message that no connection can be made. I can let the Sonos one play alone...

Sonos cannot find my Apple playlists, “Smart” or otherwise.  This has been going on for some time, and I had hope that Sonos would - based on all of the months of comment posted here - come up with a fix.  Not being able to access the playlists essentially makes the speakers useless for me. My library transfers and updates just fine, and I am not getting any more error messages. I just do not have any playlists transferring.Has anyone found a solution for this in 2024? I have tried several things listed on this site to no avail, and clearly I am not alone.I spent several hours over the past month seeking answers online and then finally an hour tonight with Sonos “Help”, much of which was waiting on hold. The latter resulted in nothing other than me being told that I needed to 1) contact Apple; 2) try some suggestions for security settings updates sent in an e-mail (all of which I had already tried, based on suggestions from users on this site), and 3) call Sonos back as needed.
