Hi, I got a play 3 and a bridge. Now bought a move, but I cant connect the new product with the app.what am I doing wrong
Seriously I am about to throw this Roam through a window!I have had UE, JBL, EV and other BT speakers and devices as well as WIFI audio streaming - this is the first time I have experienced this issue on anything. The android phone is connected. I can play from the SONOS app ok ( so it works), but the app doesn’t support spotify podcasts - so I have to play from the spotify app.Spotify shows the roam greyed out - “can’t play this right now”Even when the android phone is connected via BT ( and this is verified in the settings, and the roam chime plays to say it’s connected), spotify says it’s connected and says it’s playing ( counter is going) - no sound comes out of the roam and the volume is up.The issue occurs inconsistently, as in 90% of the time and occasionally with no logical reason works for a while- reinstalling the apps does not work to solve this at all. Thoughts before I send this back and recommend everyone buys something other than SONOS?
I got my Roam yesterday, and have been trying to AirPlay to it from an iPhone (XS) or MacBook on WiFi, but am unable to get it to show up in the iOS list. It does appear in the AirPlay menu within the SONOS app. Any ideas?
When I first had my Roam - beginning of July everything worked fine. In the past week the Sonos Roam keeps coming up as offline - I’ve followed the procedure to re-connect, everything looks fine, and then nothing … the product doesn’t appear on the list … I switch the Roam off and on again - as per instructions, i get the error message that the roam is offline and that I should start the procedure all over again. I’ve tried to connect via Bluetooth, but that’s not working either …. Please can someone help me!
As I understand two Sonos Roam can be setup as stereo pair through WiFi. In my case I have no home WiFi, only smartphone hotspot that I use all the time for all my home devices. Is it possible to set up a stereo pair this way? Will there be limitations? And what if I use two Sonos One in stereo pair? Do they behave the same? The stereo pair will be playing music mainly from my desktop, and occasionally from my phone. Thanks in advance.
Got a brand new Move today. Have had it on the charger for 30 minutes - no lights have turned on. Do I have a defective speaker, or do I need to be more patient?
I’ve love my Move, however, on a couple of occasions, I have been using it for 7-8 hours and battery dies. Not a problem, BUT when I place it on the charger and it won’t power up so I can use it! Shouldn’t that work once it is placed back on the charger and plugged in????
I am having trouble getting this working on my network. It keeps coming up saying not registered and when I go through the process it comes back saying contact customer support. I have tried the trouble shooting but nothing. before I return it has annoying got any ideas that might help. I have reset it , turned off the whole system , rebooted my router but nothing. thanks very much
I do feel for the numerous individuals that have struggled to get their lovely new purchase of a Sonos Roam up and running! I purchased a Sonos Roam and a Sonos One at the same time and I am a new user to the Sonos range. I’m retired but by no means incapable as IT was part of my daily work so I’m somewhat familiar with setting up home and office networks. The Sonos one was a complete breeze to set up on my home network. Great sound quality and user friendly. However the Roam is a totally different beast. You develop lots of patience helping individuals with their computer problems and boy I needed it with the Roam! Suffice to say having tried every logical avenue and followed every instruction I was unable to get Roam to talk to my network and it stalled always part way through the Sonos App setup process. I talked at length to Sonos support twice they too were unable to get the Roam setup to work. Support staff diligently worked their way through each step ( which I had already done m
Hello all, if I buy a brand new Move can I add this to my S1 system or will it be locked to S2?.Cheers, Keith.
Hi,I recently got a roam to add to my sonos collection. I was able to easily connect it yesterday. I shut it off after I was done. Now when I turn it back on it won’t reconnect to my sonos app (android 12 beta, pixel 4xl). I can connect it to my phone via bluetooth and it works, however. I have a mesh network with tp link deco. Thanks!
Hi! We’d like to take our paired Sonos Roam set with us to a vacation rental and set them up on the WiFi system there (there will be no Sonos network at the rental house) Is this possible? If so, how do we do that? Thank you!

Since purchasing the roam I am unable to have as part of the system when I open up the app it’s pot luck as to what I see, sometimes main system (works fine) other times just the roam (works fine) but I can never seem to have the whole system I have paid for. Is this a Sonos fault or a design either way becoming extremely frustrated at having to re a sign systemeach time I want to listen to music can this be rectified or am I best scrapping Sonos and getting a different system
I've just added the Roam to my collection. I've been trying to take advantage of the functionality to group rooms and have music playing on my Five in one room start playing also on the Roam. I press and hold play on the Roam but all that happens is that the music starts on the Roam and stops on the Five. Anyone else had this problem?
I’ve been having a fairly regular issue where my Move will disappear from the app on my phone (iPhone 11). After going through the reboot/re-add process, it appears again for a couple of days, then disappears again. To add to the frustration, I’ve recently noticed that the Move doesn’t disappear from the app on my iPad, and is completely controllable from there (inc using airplay), whilst still remaining missing on the iPhone app. Does anyone have any thoughts/fixes for this?
Reading through this forum I can see that a number of people are having trouble trying to add the Roam to the existing wifi network. I couldn’t find a clear answer to the problem though. The rest of my Sonos products have been working just fine for over 6 months on the same wifi network, so why does the app tell me there is a problem with my router and cannot connect the roam??Normally Sonos set-up is wonderfully east so this is really doing my head in.
Just setup my Sonos Roam, and set it up with my Google Home Account. I can ask my Sonos Roam "hey Google what is the time?" And it will tell me correct time just like my Google home. But if I say "hey Google play some music" it says sure playing music on YouTube music (the default setup music app) but then says, sorry I can't play music at this time. Thought it might be Google Account but all Google minis and home work just fine. I tell them "hey Google play music" and they all do. Am I doing something wrong or miss something on the serup?
Problems configuring Roam (using Google WiFi) - I do as I’m told, but receive the message Sonos not found. Tried resetting to factory default - same result.
As the topic title suggests, can I authorise multiple SSID for the Move and Roam? I live on a large property that has one network, but with my main router in a large shed with one SSID, an access point in the detached house with another SSID and two direction access points outside, each with their own SSIDs. Often when I am working in the grounds, I use the Move and Roam and the coverage changes depending on where I am. At the moment the house SSID is registered in the Sonos app, but it would be good if the Move and Roam could switch to other SSIDs as strength dictates. Please don’t suggest that I make all the SSIDs the same, as this does not help me to manually shift connections when devices (often) don’t let go of a weaker signal in favour of a better one.
Hi all, picked up a Roam the other day (also have an Arc on backorder). These are my first Sonos products. I've connected the Roam successfully through both my iPhone and iPad, and it's working as it should using these devices. Unfortunately I can't connect via my iMac. I get the message:"Not Connected. Your Sonos product was not found. If your product is a long way from your router, your may need to try moving it closer...."I've spent about an hour on the phone with Sonos support. We tried multiple procedures (rebooting, verifying wifi networks, re-installing the app, etc.), and seemingly last on the list was updating my OSX. I'm currently using 10.14.6. The thing is, it's an older machine (2017) and I'm just not prepared to update to the latest OSX out of fear that it will cause a major disruption in my personal and professional life.Hoping someone reading this might have some help. I need to connect via my Mac because I do not use any music streaming sites, and I want to link my iTu
Received two new Roams. I’m waiting for a sub and two new 5’s, so still using S1 controller. I thought I could use the roams as Bluetooth speakers. They won’t pair with my iOS devices until I set them up on S2? And I can’t setup S2 until I get my new speakers which are back ordered? Roam should function as a Bluetooth speaker standalone should it not?
Is there a way to access the Sonos Roam via the S2 app to adjust the equalizer (EQ) or view battery level when on Bluetooth?I mainly use this speaker via AirPlay (Wi-Fi) as my shower speaker and use the EQ to reduce bass and increase treble. I have taken it on several mountain biking trips and forgot to reset the EQ. Once I realize the error in my ways at the trailhead, I attempt to open the S2 app on my iPhone XS (Bluetooth 5.0) I do not see the Roam in order to adjust/reset EQ or view battery level. Thanks in advance!
Over the weekend my Sonos Roam stop working without any apparent reason and noting I tried can wake up device. It was all the time on Sonos wireless charger and was working fine and just suddenly stopped. I tried everything, charging with all charges I have at home 5v/2a. Only way to make it react at all was to plug it in. Red light shows and that is it. I tried 12s reset procedure but it did not help. I tried factory reset no response. So finally decided to contact support. At first all was looking normal. They were asking me to do all sorts of things that I already tried. I was thinking this is normal as they need to eliminate all possible solutions. I had to stop first conversation to take a video first support person was asking me to do. After I called back second person was asking me to do more of the same and ended up with asking me to charge my speaker for an hour. I already said I did that but was thinking fine let's do that. After 1 hour third person replied to my call tellin
I have had the Sonos roam since release date and when I opened I was able to use it once. Since then the roam doesn’t respond to any of the trouble shooting. When I plug into the power the light is a constant red and when I unplug the light flashes red. When I try to reset, power off or on, connect to a device or follow any of the trouble shooting on the app the roam doesn’t make any noise and the light never changes. Any tips? thank you
