Hi,I have old Sonos amp from 2012 and play3 from 2015. I'm about to buy new Sonos move device. Do they work together in same network under same application?Other question. Time to time Play3 losing the connection to network. My Amp is the master (connected to rj45) and no worries of 12 years old device. -Heikki
Researched this issue on SONOS community and after doing everything suggested ROAM still flashing green and saying getting ready to connect to existing system but after 30 minutes still nothing and powers down. After 5 goes something wrong.Reached out to customer support 3 times via SONOS website and always no-one available. SONOS used to be better than BOSE but sadly they have failed customers. Funny thing is they reach out to get more product sales whilst at same time providing no customer support.
I took my Sonos Roam abroad and I tried to use in bluetooth mode, however the volume was extremely low. It took me some time and online search for answers to realise that the volume limiter is the reason. At home I use my Sonos Roam in my bedroom and set the volume limiter at 40% otherwise it makes listening and changing the volume at low levels difficult. As this setting cannot be altered/switched off in Bluetooth mode and I couldn’t make the Roam to connect to the hotel wifi there was no way of changing back this limiter to 100%. I tried everything even resetting to no avail so my Roam was rendered useless during my month away which was extremely frustrating. I’m wondering if this has been resolved in Roam 2 as it can’t be expected to remember turning the volume limiter off (set back to 100%) while you’re still on the home wifi network every time you take your Roam away. Thanks for any help. (There are some old topics from 3-4 years ago in this forum but no solution found or offered
I understand you cannot use a stereo pair of Sonos Move/Move 2’s as surrounds, but can you use them as a stereo pair and group them to other Sonos devices? Specifically, I have a patio TV and am running the headphone out on the patio TV to my AVR and Port setup inside. This has allowed me to group my existing Move to the Port and use it outside for the TV. I have been able to almost all but eliminate the delay--it’s good enough. It would be nice to have two for stereo/better sound in this use case. I seem to recall wanting to do this when I first bought the Move at introduction, but something I read had me reconsider. Just can’t recall. Will this work, or am I missing something?
My son placed the Move on a soft surface and walked away, then we heard a thump a little while later. After this happened, we have the following issues:-Sound quiet and muffled.-No light on top panel, touch buttons unresponsive.I managed to reset the move with no blinking lights to guide me, however upon re-adding to my system it could not be registered due to an app being out of date. However my Android app is up to date.I have a strong suspicion that there’s internal damage or the factory reset would have worked. What are my options from here? Any advice appreciated.
The roam in my office just stop working. Doesn’t seem to take a charge unless directly connected to a usb-c.
Trying to set up my husband’s android phone to connect to Move via bluetooth. In his settings it says “connect via Heather” (that’s me). My phone connects to it on bluetooth. Then when the Move is discovered by his phone, his phone says “waiting for Heather to confirm” How do you confirm??? In the app? On my phone? On the Roam? We are totally stuck.
I have tried to downgrade my Sonos Move to s1 multiple times. I follow the instructions on S2 to downgrade a product. The S2 app initially finds the Sonos moves and connects to it and then asks for permission to connect to Sonos moves temporary Wi-Fi network. I provide permission and then I get a notification that the app is unable to find Sonos move and suggest that I connected directly to my router via internet cable and try again (and the Sonos move does not have an Ethernet port). Very frustrating.
Recently purchased a 3rd Sonos Move unit from Costco. The other two seem to work ok, but this new one (trying to create a new Sonos setup at a different location) is not connecting to the Sonos App, nor does pressing the Blue tooth Button do anything. We were going to simply use it with Blue Tooth, but pressing the button has no impact on the unit. I have tried performing a factory reset. Still does not work with either Blue Tooth or the Sonos App. Do I return it to Costco or Sonos? Who will address the issue?
Roam will not turn on Moderator edit: corrected Rome to Roam
Help! I’ve had my Move 2 for 10 days and successfully set it up on my system (while connected to WiFi), then successfully set up a Bluetooth connection between my iPhone and Move 2 speaker. After setup, I successfully used the Bluetooth connection once (away from my WiFi network). So far so good! And then… now when I try to connect to the Move 2 via the Sonos app using Bluetooth I get “No products found”. I know the Bluetooth is connected/working, because if I just use the Apple Music app (rather than the Sonos app) and select the Move 2 for output in my phone’s control panel, it works. So, why is the Sonos app no longer recognizing my Move 2 speaker via Bluetooth? And what can I do to resolve?
My Sonos Roam isn’t discoverable on my phone any more. The Roam is still part of my Sonos system on Wifi and is visible in the app. It works fine otherwise as a speaker at home. I tried an old phone and it was visible there and connected fine. I thought that may be the issue so I forgot the device on that phone. It literally did that and doesn’t show in the Other Devices section. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance. *EDIT: I disconnected all the speakers at home and it has made it discoverable*
App finds my Move 2. But it stops during setup. Then I get a message that says: MOVE 2 NOT REGISTERED. It worked before but suddenly I couldn't play on Bluetooth. Anyone?
Since the update, the quick glance battery numerical value is gone. I liked the quick view, now need to dive into submenu. Like the iPhone, is there a setting to bring back the numerical value on the quick glance view when you initially open the APP.
After checking daily for an app update so I can add the 3 Roam SLs that have been sitting on my counter new for 3 weeks, today there was an update. It still will not allow me to add the speakers. The speaker is literally sitting on the phone. Lol.The first update would get as far as pin, ask me to hand enter it and fail. This update and the last both detect the SL, but then ask me to try another device. I have tried 2 phones and a fire tablet. I don’t have any other device.Longtime Sonos user and I am so tired of this crap. It’s summer and I want to use my speakers in my yard, but Sonos won’t let me. This is after my 2 year old Roams bricked. Thank God for other apps and my Sonos speakers that are working. my window for return of these speakers is getting slim, I am hoping that Sonos figures it out and we can all go about our business, but this is getting ridiculous.
I’m trying to connect my Roam to a new Bluetooth network. Frustratingly, when I open the Sonos app to accomplish this, the speaker is not visible. This is despite my phone actually connected to the speaker via Bluetooth, and playing music. How can I convince the app to talk to the speaker directly and reconfigure the WiFi network? See screenshot. Note that music is currently playing on the Roam. (Sonos app also didn’t want to notice the speaker when in (flashing blue) advertising mode.)
Hi have just got the Roam 2 in order to be able to push audio being received via bluetooth from my Sony turntable to my Beam Gen 2 which is has two One SLs as surrounds. With audio playing on the Roam 2 from the turntable, I press the play/pause button whilst holding the Roam close to the Beam, but I don’t seem to be able to get it to push the audio across. Is there anything I’m missing to make this work? The Roam 2 is showing as connected to Wifi and Bluetooth in the app. Any thoughts on this?
On charge my two year old Roam sits there with the orange light on at the bottom but that’s it. It won’t switch on. I use only the approved Sonos charger which I normally use through the Sonos inductive base but I have also tried through the USB C port. I have tried holding the power button down for 30 secs but nothing. I have found it impossible to get any help from Sonos. I’ve tried the published email support only to get a reply that it’s no longer active. I tried phoning 0800 026 1526, was put on hold and told the wait would be 40 mins, after an hour I gave up. I have a house full of other Sonos speakers and am now worried that I’ve been dealing with a company with no support! Does anyone out there know what I can do with my dead Roam?
Hello, I want to put a SONOS roam 2 in the bathroom since it is small and splash-resistant. I would like to know if it is possible to leave it always connected so that it is always on, or if that is not possible?
I would like to extend the warranty or protection plan for my Sonos roam.
I am looking at purchasing the new Roam 2. Can I pair my Older Sonos 1 with the new Roam 2?
How does the Move 2 compare to the Roam
Has anyone had any luck getting a refund for their Sonos Roam via John Lewis (still within 2 year warranty) ?When it works the sound is great the user interface is so buggy and inconsistent - turning on, connecting with Alexa, bluetooth all work sometimes and not others - I’ve tried the various resets, updates etc but the user experience is rubbish (and the button is pants) By contast the kids have various Ultimate Ears devices (Wonderboom, Megaboom) which never fail to turn on/of or connect etc. Just wondered what others have done (or perhaps moved to another make)?
