Has Sonos severed or suspended its commercial operations in the Russian Federation given it is engaged in a fascist invasion of a sovereign state and stands accused of war crimes? Yandex Music is a Russian entity.
Hi!My name is Emma Joseph and I am a passionate blogger & model. Recently, I have launched my dream project under the title of Infozla * where I used to share about celebrities. I want to promote sonos’ products as an affiliate on my blog to get the commission per sale. But I am totally confused where and how can I start so, can anybody please guide me for this matter? I know specific bands are not really a discussion on this forum, too each his own. However, they just released this performance on various music services. Not a huge fan but recognize their and its musical significance to history. Just listened through Apple Music via Dolby Atmos with my Arc surround set. Just have to say really awesome and would definitely recommend taking 42 minutes to do so. Just incredible.
I listen to somaFM continuously. It is listener-sponsored streaming radio, meaning that I make regular donations to keep them on the air.I used to be able to just put the URL in Sonos and play somaFM streams. But now it must go through TuneIn, meaning that someone else is making money from somaFM’s free streams. This is unethical, because there is ZERO value-add.Oh, and the ads are ridiculous, annoying, and make me want to ditch my Sonos and get AppleOne.
Depuis quelques semaines les programmes radios sont régulièrement interrompus par de la publicité. IL ne s’agit bien évidemment pas de la publicité diffusée par ces radios (c’est normal) mais des publicités qui interrompent des programmes en cours
About classical music, why there is no credit to works author's?Display is about opus, soloist, conductor, orquestra, but no author. And not everytime recording’s picture displays it, particularly if recording is a collection of several authors. Regards.
I tried to add an internet radio station I liked (via “Manage => Add Radio Station”), but it didn’t work… This sent me down a rabbit hole… So here’s the question that may help me dig out: Is there a guide anywhere, or a ranking, or anything, to help me sort through all the TuneIn, radioPup, etc. stations? For instance, I type in “Bossa Nova”, and there are dozens. But if I get too specific, I get nothing. (For instance, “West African guitar”). There just comes a point in a man’s life when there isn’t time to sample and find what he likes… He knows he needs a guide...
Hello, I check in different forums, and the sonos community is speaking about this problem referring to a legal problem with TuneIn in the UK.I checked and tried to make it work for this radio https://ascoltareradio.com/rtl-102-5/Which works perfectly in TuneIn on any other platform (Android, iPhone, Windows, MacOS) without any problem except in SONOS.1 more detail, I am not based in the UK, why should I be impacted by this?I tried different radio streaming such as Radio.net. my tuner radio and same problem. Can you please provide a fix or a work around and also to communicate officially about this problem.Thanking you in advance
Hi everybody.I like sympa radio. How can I see the name of the song that is playing? For example, listen to the radio and others.
Hi Guys, I wanted to know, if anyone has used fives as studio monitors? Do you guys think, we can use 2 Fives as left and right channels on a studio monitoring sound interface? I would also like to know, fi using 3..5 mm jack to connect to a computer to use 2 Fives as Studio monitor is okay vs. using a 6 mm.? As such Fives don't have a 6.4 mm jack....so I will have to use an adapter and I am fine with that as long as the sound quality does not get affected. Thanks.
I enjoy Sonos radio. How can I see the title of songs being played? For example, listen to FIP and others.
I accept I have to listen to ads if I don’t subscribe to the PRO, Premium, VIP service. That’s fine. What about the volume of the ads? Does SONOS have to crank up the volume so much? It’s jolting! I read another similar comment elsewhere on these pages and the answer was something along the lines of “ it depens [not on us but] on who is serving the ads.” Thanks but I don’t buy it. The high volume ads is an old radio tactic so the excuse is invalid. SONOS: WOULD YOU PLEASE TURN THE VOLUME DOWN FOR THE ADS? or TURN IT UP FOR EVERYTHING!
I think this is for everyone (if not mods will delete and I apologize) but got an email for a cool free event this Saturday. Not a fan of this style of music but will tune in because it’s pretty unique and BEST of all, it’s FREE! Let’s support this so we can maybe get some more of these events. Thanks Sonos! Stay in with Sonos Radio Order in dinner and enjoy an evening of jazz with legendary musician Joey DeFrancesco, performing live from the historic Van Gelder Studio. Tune in from the Sonos app. Saturday, May 15 9:00 PM EDT
Since one keeps hearing over and over about Sonos not being a HiFi system - leave alone a audiophile one, whatever that means - I thought of starting a conversation on the subject. Perhaps there will no takers…but most of us are locked down, so let’s see:-).To start the ball rolling, for those that do NOT see the best of Sonos - a 5 pair + Sub - to be worthy of the HiFi label, can we hear from you specifying the cheapest system that you have found to be HiFi, playing in the same room and using the same source music files used for ruling out Sonos? It would help if you named the speakers, and also amp used if the speakers are passive ones, and its cost. And then say, what is it that, in your opinion, confers the HiFi label on that system. Note that there is no reason for something to be considered cheap just in comparison to Sonos price points; it should just be the cheapest System you know that does HiFi. Never mind if it costs less, same or more than the 5 pair+ Sub.
Ran across this article and thought it was an interesting topic of discussion. https://www.musicradar.com/news/an-audio-engineer-explains-why-dolby-atmos-music-is-definitely-going-to-supersede-stereoDo others agree that atmos is going to supersede stereo? I don’t, for a few different reasons.1 - We have decades of music recorded in stereo, music which is still highly consumed. Attempts to modernize that music in to Atmos (Tidal) simply don’t sound right. Of course, that doesn’t mean new music can’t be recorded in atmos, but unlike movies where you can upgrade to atmos and the audio comes out ‘right’, the same can’t be done for music.2 - Live music comes from a stage, not from all around you. I would argue that even when you can an original track in atmos, it doesn’t sound right to the brain since we instinctively know that music comes from a stage. It always has throughout history. Again, movies are different.3 - Keeping with the live music aspect, I don’t know that artists want
Cadillac has Bose, Lincon has Revel it would be nice to see SONOS in a luxury car brand, preferably American Luxury brand. I personally hope they could swip Lincon from Revel. lol Though Revel is okay as it is a Samsung own brand and connected to JBL, Harmon Kardon, AKG and etc.
So Sonos had their current quarter earnings call that exceeded the market’s expectations and more. This was after a few quarters of truly mediocre results. So what’s next for them? Just wanted to open it up to see what’s next for Sonos.
I am enjoying the new Sonos radio, and having been listening to the Concert Hall station. it is reasonably well curated and I have heard some good an interesting recordings. However, it becomes almost unlistenable because the station usually plays only one movement from a piece of music. This is fine for background music, but makes it intolerable for serious music discovery. Very few companies take classical music streaming seriously, but Sonos is well positioned to be better. I hope that they up they make their service better for classical enthusiasts.
What happened to the Funk?
After upgrading to desktop controller version 12.2.2, several of my old Sonos components are no longer visible, and can therefore not be used with the controller. They work fine with the old sonos controller version. Is this Sonos way of trying to force me to throw the older hardwre components away and buy new ones. The old ones works fine. Not even giving me a choice or a heads up when installing the new software controller. Very unethical and immoral. Is this correct Sonos? I hope I’m wrong! I’m aware that new hardware features may not work with old software. Fine, but not supporting old hardware in new software is almost criminal. What if General Motors made their old cars stop working after a software update..?? Best,-tk
Will there ever be Spotify podcasts on Sonos, appears this has been an ask for years now.
I’m building my hi res music collection and am wondering if it’s worth the pursue 24bit/96khz quality. Currently Sonos can support up to 24bit/48kHz. However, with the release of S2, people are saying S2 shows the possibility of hi res music support. Is Sonos planning to support higher khz with S2?
Hello, I'm looking for a solution to stream Musik on my tv and have that playing in stereo of my 5.1 system. And still keep them grouped in that 5.1 room for when I watch a movie. If that's understandable. It works when I use Spotify on my mobile, but I'd like to watch for example twitch music streams in stereo.Thank you for your help.
I have a huge investment in Sonos, with a playbar, a boost, a play 5 (2nd gen), 2 play 3s, a one, 4 play 1s, 2 connect amps, a connect, and now a move. I absolutely LOVE the ability to move around the house and have the same thing playing in all or any rooms, or different things playing in various rooms. Unfortunately, not all the people in my household appreciate music as much as I do, and often balk at anything playing anywhere at all. I would rather get rid of some of them before any of my Sonos gear, but alas, this is not an option. I also have a huge investment, including time, in my music library, and all geared towards use with Sonos. If I can’t listen to Sonos at times due to others being home and not wanting to hear it, my music enjoyment is then sharply limited to what I have stored in my phone and through crappy earphones, which I would rather not wear at all. Now, with the advent of the Move, it would seem that all the elements are there for Sonos to apply that technol
