Hi everyone!Over the last few months I’ve jumped deep into the Sonos eco-system, and absolutely love it.However, I’m running into one problem that I’d love to get feedback on.Specifically it has to do with Dolby Atmos playback from a UHD Blu-Ray on my ARC.Whenever I play an Atmos Blu-Ray it sounds amazing, BUT it is constantly stuttering and has occasional static. It happens pretty consistently throughout the movie, but especially when it’s loud and there is a lot going on. It does it to the point where the movie is pretty much unwatchable.I’ve tried everything I can think of. And I’ve got an idea of what it might be, but wanted to talk to the experts. Here’s my Setup:Sonos Arc One Gen 2 and One SL for rear surrounds Playstation 5 for Blu-Ray 2017 LG C7 55”My thought is that since the TV only has ARC, not e-ARC, that this might be causing the issue. The blu-ray is putting out True-HD Dolby Atmos content, so I wonder if it’s that connection that is causing the stuttering?Worth noting, I d

I want to place the Sonos Arc under the TV in this room with vaulted ceilings and a large landing above.  Please see 3d drawing of room.  Will i get much and/or any of the benefits of the Arc in a room like this?

Hello Sonos Community!I just added two Sonos One SL surround speakers to my Sonos Arc. I’ve been using the Arc without surrounds for about 2 months prior. I don’t have a Sub.Before adding the surrounds the bass produced by the Arc was full, deep and balanced. I had my EQ bass setting on 5 and it sounded incredible. After adding the One SLs the bass sounds pretty bad. It now seems to be mostly in the deep lows and it sounds very unbalanced. Both me and my partner think the bass sounds muted and bad.I tried running the TruePlay calibration twice and I played with the EQ. Increasing the bass through the EQ increases the bass output in the very low spectrum but makes it sound worse overall. This happens both with music and with movies and with pretty much any source (stereo or Atmos).I’m kind of disappointed after investing in the surrounds and having a worse overall sound.Am I doing something wrong?

Hello,  Have had a Sonos Beam for almost a year now with no problems. However, within the last week, sound has randomly been cutting out for 3-5 seconds from the speaker while watching tv. This happens every 3 minutes or so  Beam is connected to our TV via HDMI arc port. The only other HDMI connected device on the tv is our Xfinity Flex cable box. This is where we view all of our streaming apps.  Vizio TV Audio settings:digital audio out: Dolby DigitalAnalog audio out: fixed Vizio TV system settings:CEC: enabled  Would love a solution for this!

I have been having intermittent sounds loss to my system (sono beam, sub, two SLs) when watching TV via Spectrum cable.  I have swapped out HDMI cables, adjusted all sounds input and output settings on the TV, Sono system and the cable box, but it still persists. The sound works for about 15 min and then skips out for 1-2 seconds. This only happens with the tv, music has no issues. I submitted a diagnostic and got a ticket. Here is the number: 1776223067 Can someone please advise? Has anyone ever encountered this before?

After having my Sonos Arc, sub and two Sonos 1 SL surround speakers tonight the system started crackling and cutting in and out.  I have a Apple TV hooked up to a projector the a HDMI Matrix Switch.  The sound goes through the optical to HDMI adaptor and again has worked great for a few months till now.  I did submit a diagnostic report 1066721761. Would love help.  Have loved my system so this is frustrating to say the least. Mod Edit: Corrected typo for clarification

HelloFirst-time-caller, and a first-time SONOS owner for 2 weeks now. I’ve had a look around this helpful community and not found what I’m looking for - please direct me to an existing thread if there is one. I wonder if I’ve bought the wrong setup, or haven’t figured out how to set it up to suit my expectations. I’ve replaced 2 big floor standing speakers and an amp - that I’ve had for 15 years. I’ve since gotten married and we have a 4 year-old, and now live in a tiny appartment. Even I realised the big speakers had to go… I mainly listen to music. This is through an Apple TV connected via HDMI into an old Samsung TV (that has no HDMI ARC, but an optical out). All of my music is through iTunes Match. I listen to music approx 20 hours/week. We watch TV too, mostly the 4 year-old. I might watch 3 hours/week. 2 weeks ago I bought: BeamOne SL x2 (paired)Sub Configured in a straight line across the room:One SL <0.6m> Beam/TV <3.5m> One SL & SubSofa is opposite in the middl

Every time I turn my TV onthe volume is muted and silent on my Sonos Beam. Why is this and what needs changed so there is volume on start-up.

Is this setup recommended?  The poster has mounted his Arc directly under the TV and pushed the soundbar forward so that none of the speaker is covered (here’s a pic). I’m having an Arc mounted on an MM540 Mantel Mount under a Sony 75” TV this week.  There’s a lot of ambiguity about the optimal setup.  On the Sonos Arc wallmount marketing page they say the Sonos must sit 4” below the TV.  On the installation page, one sentence says 4” below and a few steps down it says 5.5” below. Elsewhere (that I can’t put my hands on right now) I’ve seen it recommended that the Arc be 2” in front of the TV if it’s directly below it; which seems to be in conflict with the way this redditor set it up.I don’t have the luxury of mounting, trying it out and remounting if it doesn’t work, but would like to minimize distance between TV and Arc if at all possible.Thoughts?  Thanks in advance.

My sonos sub refuses to connect to my sonos arc. The ARC and SUB are connected on the same network and will only connect to the ARC via hardware via my network and not via wifi.On the about system it says: Warning: Your wireless network will not support the use a sub or surrounds with the sonos Arc

Hi,Got several Sonos devices including an arc and a pair of ones in my lounge and a beam in my Kitchen, as well as several 1’s in my dinning room and hallway.its the beam that got the issue,When listening to any music with a bassy beat one of the drivers sounds like its popped as sounds distorted, this is a recent phenomenon, so i'm assuming its a blown/popped driver, is this repairable as i dont fancy parting with £399 to replace the whole unit.Ive never used it hard or all that much, as it was my main speaker in my lounge when i lived in a semi detached house and i was mindful of annoying the neighbours, anyone else had this issue?TIANeil

Playing atmos movies from streaming services like netflix works fine even when loud. But when i play atmos dvds from my samsung dvd player there is an audible crackling sound thats associated to more bass heavy scenes no matter what volume it is set to. Primarily the transfomers age of darkness blu ray is one of the worst. It only occurs during atmos. If i change the dvd players ouput to regular 5.1 it no longer occurs. Any ideas whats wrong? Ive got the most up to date firmwares and highest hdmi versions needed.

New ATV 4K 2021 user here with audio/lip sync issue having to do with Match Frame Rate.My set up is ATV 4K 2021 -> Sony X900H -> Sonos Arc. All cables are 2.1 compatible. With Match Frame Rate On, I get a noticeable audio sync issue across all apps. The audio is in front of the video by approximately 2 tenth of a second but the amount seems to vary a bit based on the app, and video format (SDR / HDR / DV).If I turn Match Frame Rate Off, the issue instantly goes away and the sound remains in sync across the board. If I want to keep match frame rate on, I can get the audio and video in sync pretty close with the Sonos app through the lip sync setting by delaying the audio. However, given that the amount of delay seems to change a bit based on each app, that doesn’t seem like a viable long term fix.I've also tried the wireless audio sync calibration on the ATV but that didn't help. For now, I've just turned match frame rate off and enabled Cinemotion on the Sony TV to take care of the

Hi all.  Recently, we had several power cuts at our home. I noticed that after every power cut, a pair of SL one are not re-syncing. After every power cut, I have to unplug and plung them both, for them to re-sync.  I have another SL one and a 5 and all are re-syncing w/o any issues after every power cut.  Any advice on why this is happening and how to fix it? Thank you.  Ron.

Hello, We have a multi-media room of 22' x 25' with cathedral ceilings (45 degree ceiling toping at 20').   We have a LG CX77 tv set.  As for speakers, we have 2 back speakers inserted in the sloped ceiling (±11' high).  We also have a Sonos Arc.  We will be buying a Sonos Subwoofer and would like to complete the set will 2 more front speakers. What would you suggest for the 2 front speakers ?Do you have any other recommandation for our media system ? Thanks in advance.

Seeing as how I must borrow an iPhone from someone, I was wondering if it is even worth calibrating a Beam. I don’t have a sub or surrounds and I am not planning on getting any. Looks like the app can set treble, bass and balance, so I am not sure how much of a change could actually be expected.

Apologies if this is a dumb question but I have four HDMI devices and my TV has only 4 HDMI ports.  If I use the eARC HDMI port on my TV for the Sonos Arc I’m stuck with only 3 HDMI ports for my devices, correct?  Are there any good solutions for this other than an HDMI switch?

Hi there,I am a reasonable newby to Sonos and am looking for some advice.  Currently own a One, One SL & two Fives.  I am reconfiguring my complex entertainment system to simplify so to take advantage of Sonos. I am considering buying an Arc & Sub to replace a Sony sound bar & sub system.  I use a smart TV, Apple TV and stream through TV/Sony SB (4 HDMI’s !!) and also use a Mac Mini as a media server for Apple music, Foxtel, Amazon & Plex and web as the TV web GUI is not good.Anyhow, my questions are:Can I use  just the 2 fives & One/One SL in conjunction with the Arc and get decent sound or buy a Sub and add to all of above.Any advice appreciatedWith thanksScotty...Down under

Hi,is it possible to use Connect or Connect/Amp to make this happen? Can Gen1 connect to Arc via the app to do this ?thanks

I have 2 arc speakers one outside at pool and one in living room. I have an amp with 4 speakers hooked up to it, 2 are surround in living room and 2 are out door at the pool. I have the 4 speakers on a switch so I can change which ones I want to power. will the amp connect to either arc depending on where i want the speakers to play.

Hi! Recently I have found that my 2 SUBs and 2 Play 1 (surrounds) are detached from my living room HT setup, but they are not actually detached, but just from the Android app… That is when I check from “System”, it just shown “Arc” but not “(x2Sub + surrounds)”. It’s not showing “?” but nothing. Therefore, I couldn’t adjust the volume level of my Subs and surrounds. However, they are actually still linked with my Arc as usual. This happen occasionally and my only solution is to uninstall the app and reinstall it, then everything back to normal… Just wonder any of you encountered the same?

Hi, i am having an issue with volume not syncing between normal stereo content and high res audio.I have an LG 55 nano90 2020 model. I work with a Chromecast with google tv. Chromecast is in hdmi stating higher refresh rate. And Soundbar is plugged into the eArc port. Chromecast is also directly plugged in with Ethernet.*Yes ALL my stuff is updated to latest software. (Computer nerd, build computers...have Plex server...)At first I struggled to get the Atmos or Dolby format to play. Was only getting stereo. Finally found setting in Chromecast to allow surround sound formats and also set tv to passthrough.*Other settings hdmi is set to bitrate and not pcm. I have tried turning eArc on and Off. Unplugged system so it could reset between swapping. I have tried to turn off and on the CEC settings in Chromecast and or tv to see if that would help...nothing.I don't know what else to try...i have fiddled with app settings but not much. I see there was remote setups but it doesn't pick up my C

Hi all, New to the world of Sonos. Treated myself to an Arc + Sub, connected to my LG C1 via the eArc HDMI port. I’m also using a PS5 for gaming and watching 4k discs.  My issue is I can’t get the Arc to play any of my 4k discs with Dolby Atmos. The ‘best’ settings I can get are Multichannel PCM 7.1. These are the settings I have on my C1: HDMI Input Audio Format: BitstreamDigital Sound Output: Pass ThrougheARC support: On And on the PS5:HDMI Device Type - Soundbar (have tried having this as TV and Amp too, results still the same)Audio Format Priority: DolbyAudio Format (from menu when watching 4k disc): Bitstream Im getting a bit flustered by not being able to figure out what I’m doing incorrectly! Any guidance, tips or suggestions to get Dolby Atmos working would really be appreciated.  Thank you for your time.
