have a monitor asb-2 soundbar that is now more than 10 years old. i also have a Panasonic 65" EZ952 OLED 4K UHD TV that was bought in 2018. i also have a Sonos Z80, Youview box, Sony DVD player and Roku box. everything is connected to the ASB via HDMI and the soundbar is connected to the TV through ARC. The Sonos Z80 is connected to the soundbar via an optical cable.i’m considering upgrading my soundbar to the new Sonos Arc Ultra. however it seems there is only 1 HDMI port on the Sonos and the TV only has an older version of ARC and not eARC. it seems that very few soundbars have HDMI ports either.what is the best way to configure the system if i use the Arc ultra (which doesn’t have HDMI pass through either).

was playing a playlist streaming from apple music on ARC+Surroundsuddenly it all went silentthe app showed it was playing, but nothing was heardexited the app - started backi now saw the ARC was not listed (all other speakers listed)suddenly after 20'ish seconds the ARC showed again, but playlist wiped - i assume it restarted but I had not seen any blinking lights on the ARC. Submitted diagnostic **********Logged in to Sonos webiste and see there it say my account was created today, which is far from reality. Sonos, what’s going on?This has happened twice in 3 weeks. I have a Sonos Arc.  When I took the soundbar out of the box after purchase the set up when fine.  Everything worked including all controls.  Since then the EQ has stopped working and also the loudness selection.  The speech enhancer works just fine.  You can use the sliders for bass and treble but it has no effect on the sound.  I tried a factory reset and reboots of the internet connection plus reinstalled the app but these controls still will not work and have no effect on the audio.  All updates have been done.  I am very disappointed and am afraid that this problem will keep me from buying anymore Sonos products or giving a good recommendation if asked.

I have recently wall mounted by Sonos Beam Gen 1 to the wall underneath my wall mounted tv. up until that point the beam was working perfectly with the tv volume. Now the tv volume won’t play through the beam, air play works fine through the beam. The beam is taking control of the tv as it usually does because it has disabled the tv speakers as it usually does but no tv sound is coming though the speakers, I’ve cross checked everything, switched off the Beam, reset my WiFi hub. went into the Sonos app and tried the TV connection and it says ino connection to TV but the beam is connected properly?? Can anyone help? Hello, as you seen in the title problem I have too much power in my opinion becoming from my system (A Ray, 2x Era 100 and a Sub Mini), I was watching a movie when I found out that sounds very good (quality and volumes) in 5.1 and without having Dolby Atmos well also, but then I was curious about this and while I was investigating about it I played some music from my PS5 connected to my LG TV and finally to the Ray by the optical cable but with 30% of volume (real 60% but I have the limit on Sonos app to max 50% of volume, so) and I was shocked about the high volume by only the Ray (the signal was in Dolby Digital 5.1 but Spotify tracks are in stereo so the surround speakers doesn't do anything (is normal because was dd 5.1 not pcm stereo or dd2.0) and the volume was very high in my opinion and after with my phone I installed several apps of sonometers and all the apps said that were between 82 - 85 dB at 2 meters from the Ray, I know that these apps aren't accurate at all but the m

I moved into a new house and ordered four Sony TVs and three Arc Ultras and one Beam. One set up (Sony + Arc Ultra) works seamlessly.  I can turn the TV on and the television’s audio routes through the Arc Ultra. Or I can switch over to the Sonos App and stream music to that Arc Ultra. I can switch back and forth with no issues. Simply works as one would want. The other three however require adjustment each and every time. When I turn the TV on I have to flip the audio output in the TVs menu from audio system to TV speakers and then back to audio system to get the television’s audio to route through the arc ultra (or the beam).  I checked the settings to ensure they’re consistent in both the Sonos app, as well as in the television audio menu system. anAny advice, please?

Hi everyone I struggle with some content.the audio file is doldby digital + 5.1 and the app is showing dolby atmos which is not.it cause some issue (cutouts every minute mostly)my settings on my nvidia shield and lg cx is everything passthrough even on my KODIwhen I switch to lpcm (not passthrough) there is no issue.also when I read true atmos files there is no issue as well. Sonos arc sub gen 3 and one sl rearslg cx 65nvidia shield pro any idea ? thanks !

Hi, I bought a home with 3 Sonos Connect:Apps powering 3 zones with built-in speakers. All fine there. There’s also a Sonos Connect and wires for 4 built-in ceiling speakers labeled right/left Middle and right/left Rear that are meant for the tv.I’d like to have 5.1 sound from the tv (Center, right/left Middle, right/left Rear, Bass) and I’d like the ceiling speakers to link to my Sonos home system to play music as the other zones do.I’m not sure what’s needed.A Sonos App would power the speakers, but not as both Middle and Rear (two zones need two Apps, right?), and I’d still need to do something about a Center speaker or bar. Expensive to have 2 or 3 Apps just to get 5.1 sound from the tv.Or perhaps a receiver to run all the speakers, but then not sure how to connect to Sonos and have the tv ceiling speakers join the other Sonos zones to play music simultaneously. 

I’ve had this problem for a couple months now and been in contact with Sony about it.Every time I turn on my TV I get a message in the bottom of the screen saying “TV speakers active due to a audio system communication error”. It started appearing after updating both my TV and Sonos Arc so it’s hard to say which is causing the issue.Sound is still coming from the Arc but sometimes I have to manually change audio source from “TV speakers” to “Audio system” but it’s rare.Do anyone else have this problem?

Hello  Looking to fit Sonos home theatre surround sound in my new extension. Only choice I’ve got is to use ceiling speakers with the sub and arc. It’s 5x7m with a vaulted ceiling. Would you go for four 6inch or two 8inch speakers guys? 

I don’t have a TV. I’ve bought a Sonos arc ultra, gen 4 sub and era300. I have a FeinTech VAX04101A hdmi switch to connect fire stick, Blu-ray player and ps5 to Sonos arc ultra and projector. Projector only has normal hdmi and not eARC but Sonos app wants eARC output from source which I don’t have. Does that mean I can’t connect my sources to Sonos? I need it to work with hdmi not eARC hdmi, is that impossible?

I have an issue where my Arc setup starts resetting its volume to 15, and won’t go past 15. It happens when audio is being sent via my BenQ TK860 projector.It happens every now and again, and rebooting/reinstalling hasn’t fixed it. I’ve read several posts that this could be a sign of device failure, and I should reach out to Sonos support.I started a chat and was directly told that Sonos “does not support projectors” - is this true? The projector has a standard eARC HDMI output. I can’t find any reference on the Sonos website that projectors are not supported, only that you need eARC.ThanksTom

Hi, I lost sound the other night from my beam. I turned the TV on and off and it came back for 5 mins but has now stopped again. I have checked all settings, factory reset the TV and beam. Changed the HDMI cable. The TV is seeing the beam as I have the icons when I turn it up and down there is just no sound coming out. The TV works through internal speakers and the beam works if I stream to it. It is also seeing the TV as in the volume it says HDMI TV. I have turned everything on and off and now I am just at a loss. Could the TV just not be putting out sound? 

Hi allI was wondering if someone can help. I'm considering buying the official sonos stand for my Era 300 and need to know the distance from the back of the Era 300 to the back of the stand base. The reason why is because I have my sonos stands against the back wall and want to know the distance of the back of the era 300 ro the wall. Thanks so much for your help

I'm using Shield TV Pro with the Sonos Beam 2, recently when I stream 4k videos with Dolby digital / atmos, the sound drops/skips after 10-15 minutes of watching the video. If I pause and play it returns to normal, after 10-15 minutes it happens again.Please help. I'm using an NVIDIA Shield TV Pro connected to a TCL TV and Sonos Beam Gen 2. Recently, when streaming 4K content with Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos, the audio starts dropping or skipping after about 10–15 minutes. If I pause and resume playback, the sound returns to normal—but the issue comes back again after another 10–15 minutes.Please help me resolve this issue.

I have a new Sony OLED TV (Bravia 8 ii) installed today.It seems to have a slight pink tint.  It is sitting very close to a Sonos playbase.  Could the playbase affect the colour.  I find this unlikely but need to eliminate the possibility.Derek Clements

Has Google Assistant been added ? Otherwise I need to return this soundbar.In fact I might just decide to switch to a different ecosystem. 

Anyone notice difference from 10/8/25 update for Arc Ultra, Era 300s, and Sub 4?Only asking since the patch notes are incredibly cryptic in what changed or attempted to improve. Very disappointing Sonos chooses the mystery approach.

I have spent over four hours on the phone via text chat and phone call with Sonos support trying to get a Sonos Connect to actually connect. It is hardwired through ethernet, everything else in my house works perfectly including all my other Sonos products, and yet their only “solution” after multiple calls was to tell me to contact my internet provider. The agent was polite but had no real understanding of the product, simply reading lines from a script with no technical insight.This is not my first attempt either. I bought the Connect four years ago and it has never worked properly. I gave Sonos another chance and they completely failed to stand behind their product. No acknowledgment that the unit might be defective, no replacement option, no escalation, just “call back again.”For a premium audio company, this level of support is unacceptable. I am truly disappointed and will not be purchasing another Sonos product.

Hello,I have a TV model LG-55LA620V, Google TV Streamer and Sonos Arc Soundbar with 2x Sonos Play:1(surround) added. The problem is that I can't get Dolby Atmos sound to work, only dolby digital 5.1. The cables are HDMI 2.1 and connected as follows: - Google TV streamer -> Tv HDMI 3 (MHL) - TV HDMI 1 (ARC) - Sonos Arc soundbar. What should I do to get Dolby Atmos sound?

I've just noticed that there's no sound coming from my Gen 2 sub, the lights are on but nobody's home!It appears in my app and says it's connected along with my Playbar but it's definitely not producing any sound. I've tried rebooting the router, turned the sub off then on again. Factory reset the sub and added it again and it tells me that it's been added successfully but it's still not working. Any suggestions?
