Home Theater

I just bought an entirely new set up for our living room. I have heard awesome things about Sonos, so I decided to spend the extra money on the Beam and Sub. I got home and was entirely thrilled to set up my new outfit.. I found that when I watched normal cable (we have Spectrum) that there is a lip sync/audio delay issue.. The beam is connected to eARC, and TV’s/Sonos delay settings are set to “0,” but I still have a slight lip sync issue.. It is driving me NUTS, enough to take both the soundbar back to the store. Apparently I am not the only one with this issue, and I have tried most of the recommended troubleshooting techniques such as setting the audio to “pass-through,” enabling eARC, lowering audio delay to 0, resetting both TV and Sonos. Can someone for the life of me provide a solution?

I have connected my Audio Technical AT-LP120 turntable which has built in preamp to my Port and then linked the Port to the Arc but the sound quality is very full of static and sounds horrible.  Had no issues using this turntable with my old receiver and stereo speakers.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  thanks

Unable to play airplay on arcI have a sonos arc and two sonos one. Airplay works fine on sonos one. However it never works on Sonos Arc. Have tried multiple troubleshooting steps given by customer support(60+ mins). But no luck so far. Steps performed:Tried aiplaying from another mac, ipad and iphone. Removed wifi extenders from setup. Switched arc from wireless to wired with wifi still on. Multiple restarts to router, arc, iphone. Factory reset of arc(Even though it was not recommended). But no luck so far.

Hi,I hope to find help here, because after hours of troubleshooting I’m completely lost. 😰Since 3 days all of my speakers disconnected from the Wifi. All at the exact same time. Since then, none of the speakers were able to reconnect. While digging into the root cause of the issue, I’ve recognized, that the speakers send DHCP Discover messages and the DHCP server replies with DHCP Offer messages. After the DHCP Offer, there is never a DHCP Request message from the speakers. I’ve dumped the traffic on the DHCP Server and on the access point (Unifi U6-Lite). The packets were seen on both ends. Although I don’t see any RX/TX drops, I can’t confirm that the DHCP Offer ever reached the speaker. The weird thing is, based on the Unifi Controller information, all speakers are assigned to the correct reserved DHCP addresses, but none of the speakers is reachable.I’ve gone through countless troubleshooting hints within the community and Google searches, i.e. which describes pretty much my issue.

I have wired surround speakers connected to the Sonos system but no sound is coming through. I’ve tried resetting the Arc and the amp but still nothing. I tried full music and also nothing. The system says surrounds are connected. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All,I was on the point of posting an issue but found a fix and thought I would share it in case anyone else is having the same issue.I recently bought the Beam (gen2) and 2 x One SL speakers. Almost immediately I had sound drop out and picture break-up.We previously had an LG wirtesed surround system with no issues.I spent an age trawling the community for a fix/solution, changing settings and options on the TV to no effect.Programmes on the TV were fine but switching to my Apple TV (4th Gen) caused all the problems.I switched from ARC to optical and back again with no improvement. The solution was simple enough, updating the Apple TV software to it’s most recent update.Immediately it has resolved the problem. If you’re having any issues, check your TV and peripheral kit software for updates. Hope that helps. Stewart

Hello!I’m back after another 6 months of daily struggle using my home theater setup in regards to audio.I posted here and got some suggestions at the time, which I tried to no avail.I’ve been in contact directly with Sonos and Samsung several times to no avail. It doesn’t seem like this is something that should be so incredibly hard to sort out.I fight with this setup daily to get audio to stream through it at all (much less reliably!).The TV interface audio, the “DVD” style menu audio (in places like Apple TV movies section where I’ve purchased movies), all commercials (Hulu commercials, opening “ads” for other shows on Prime and TV+, etc.) always play audio. However, when the actual movie audio stream starts (or restarts, etc.), 5 times out of 10 there is no sound. I have to exit and re-play the stream sometimes up to 10 times to get audio. Sometimes I have to power everything off and back on to get stream audio. This happens even when I’m watching a show on Hulu with audio, the commerc

Hi there,Recentely I bought the Sonos Beam gen 2 soundbar for my LG C1 tv. I connected it with a HDMI ARC cable and I made it surround with my two SonoS one's. The moment I wanted to experience the Dolby Atmos, I figured Netflix is only showing me Dolby Vision and no Dolby Atmos. The moment I unplug the soundbar Netflix is showing Dolby Atmos (since my tv supports this). I wonder if I am doing something wrong, but I thought Netflix would show me Atmos with this setup. Can somebody help me with this or explain why this isn't working?   If you need any more information, let me know!Thank you in advance!

Bonjour ma sonos Beam a des craquelures sur le dessus au niveau de la jonction tissus et plastiques est ce normal ?cdt

Having a bit of trouble making sense of how to install this with that wall mount and could use some help. My tv is on the ground and I realize that the sanus arc tv mount has to go on the bottom holes before I mount the tv. The problem is the mount backer thing is only on the top and based on the su-wl855 instructions after I lift the tv and hook it into the mount, then I put the screws from that wall piece into the bottom holes of the tv. Am I wrong to then assume that I will need 3 people to install the tv? As I will have to put the back piece of the su wl855 first then have the 3rd person screw into the wall bracket while 2 people hold it up? Thanks a lot. also a bit confused on whether or not to use the spacer. manual here for reference https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/5004/453320bc03e41c49f8852fb982b51207/50040731M.pdf

My Sonos Beam is connected to my Samsung TV. It is plugged in to the TV using HDMI. When I am away for an extended time, I sometimes unplug the TV.   If I do not use the Beam for an extended time, will it go into a sleep mode or is it better to un plug  the power too.Thank you, Irwin

This is a completely speculative inquiry that cannot be validated at this time, but I'm curious as to whether people believe it to be conceivable. Based on what I've observed and what's forthcoming, it appears to be a significant likelihood.Sonos acquired the voice assistant business Snip some time ago, and it is now seeking a leader for its Home Theater OS division. While considering how consumers may subsequently utilise their own voice assistant to control not only music but also televisions, I recalled that Matter has also been delayed till this Fall.Suddenly, I realised something because of this. What if Sonos takes advantage of this and creates not just a music/television voice assistant, but a full-fledged home voice assistant that will have access to a plethora of Matter-compatible devices this fall, thereby rendering Sonos independent of third-party voice assistants such as Google, Alexa, and Siri?It will be intriguing to observe how this develops and whether it becomes a real

Hello everyone,After the latest update to 14.12, TruePlay doesn’t change the sound at all at my Arc+Sub gen3.Besides the known problem of cutting the bass down, there is no change in the sound whatsoever. On my Sonos One for example, I can clearly hear the difference when togling TruePlay. On Arc, none, zero, nada.Did enyone expierience the same issue?

Hello  I currently have a 5.0 sonos system consisting of a playbar and 2 play:1 surround sound systems for the home cinema and a denon df107 system for the music.  My plan is to replace all that with the new generation sonos amp associated with two bookshelf speakers that have yet to be defined, connected via HDMI to the TV.  I have several questions about this:  - is it relevant to replace a playbar, for which I am disappointed with the stereo spatialization, by a sonos amp?  - what about the surround effect generated by the 2 play:1 associated with the amp? Are the effects well managed? Is there a degradation at this level compared to the playbar?

Hi Sonos Fans,Proud owner of a Sonos Arc, my LG 4K OLED TV turns on my Arc when streaming Spotify from my iPhone 13.Is that possible to only use the Arc without having it turning on the TV ? thanks a lot for your helpAnthony

Currently the last update for the devices especially the Arc and the Sub has affected the audio quality and the strength of the sub among other details, I can't believe that even after so many complaints and reports they have not been able to resolve the situation or allow us to return to the previous version, everything was working perfect there was nothing to fix.

Bonjour à tous, Description Installation :TV LG OLED65CX6LA (eArc) - Sonos Arc + Sub 3e génération - Apple TV 4K - Philips Hue Sync Box (V2) pour adaptation TV Ambilight. Merci d’avance. Alex

I have a Samsung Q90T + Sonos ARC where the sound consistently cuts out while watching shows and movies. TV is up to date as well as Sonos Software. Using an Apple TV 4K. I’ve replaced the HDMI cables. I haven’t been able to get this corrected through Sonos or by searching the web or this community. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, I have set up a Sonos Ray and two Ikea Symfpnisk rear speakers.  All three work for music.  When I try to add The surround, the app say that "two compatible speakers are required" but can't find them. Please help.  Thanks

I have this problem while in Dolby atmos mode on Xbox series x with Sonos one sl Passthrough is on on the Xbox.

Hey, I wanted to ask you guys what settings you use.I'm wondering how I can get the best sound experience out of my setup consisting of ARC, SUB & 2 ONE SL, PS5 and LG C9Kind regards

Can the clarity update be replaced. WTH why?

I have the arc, sub (gen 2) and 2x Ones in the rear. I recently received the notification that my trueplay configuration had been reset as part of an update….super annoying.Anyway, when I try and retune the system I receive and error before it even starts (see below). I’m using iOS.This happens before the first part of the process, and I can’t seem to figure out why. When I cancel and try again I always get the same error.Has anyone else seen this issue and been able to resolve?

Just picked up new Sony Tv that has only 2 2.1 Hdmi ports and one of those is for the earc so it only leaves me one 2.1 for everything else… if I got a AV receiver and basically used it as a switcher would that work ? So plug in all my systems into the receiver then plug the receiver into the 2.1 port and then plug Sonos arc into the Earc slot … would that work ?

I just updated to the latest firmware and after ‘finishing up’ the system failed to complete the update and notified me that I hadn’t worked.I assumed it would have defaulted back to the most recent working setup but it hasn’t - it says that there are no updates available.the system doesn’t work and no sound coming out of speakers. What do I do now? I didn’t pay nearly £2000 for this setup to have to deal with this nonsense. After reading about the other issues people have had Sonos is really losing its shine. Unprofessional.
