You can only add two surround speakers to a Sonos home theater setup. I would use the Era 300s as surrounds with the Arc and use the One SLs...

TruePlay not working with ARC + MiniSub + Era100 combination

Just got the ARC + MiniSub + Era100 showing up in the Sonos App, but TruePlay does not show up anywhere in the app.  The app did display the “set up TruePlay now” button box a couple times, and the TruePlay process started, but then shut down with “can do this now”.  Spent two hour with Sonos tech support and they said that TruePlay is not supported when you use the Era100s as surrounds.  Did all the fixes I could find and those with Sonos tech support.  I am also very technically savvy.  No go, can’t get TruePlay to function.  I did read a post where there may be a work around by not using the TV as the source, but the app won’t allow me to add another source… so that didn’t work either.  Using the most recent Sonos app / Samsung Galaxy S21 / Google Voice installed as the voice assistant.If anyone has any hacks or fixes to get TruePlay to work, that would be great.  Very very frustrated presently, and wasted so much time I don’t have.

Dolby Atmos disable with other speakers

I received the Arc Ultra a month ago and it works wonderfully my Sub 4 and my Era 100 in my living room. When I listen to Amazon  music in Dolby Atmos it's really perfect. But if I then décide to add my sonos speakers in the dining room or elseware, then the Dolby Atmos in the living room mute the sound for a second and then comes back in HD only. I don't understand this.

Has anyone ever solved the Sonos to Samsung eArc problem?

My Sonos arc isn’t recognized by Samsung Q70C Qled using the eArc hdmi input. So it’ll switch between trying to connect to the Arc and the tv speakers. This has been going on for months. Has anybody been able to solve this problem? I see this is a problem going back four years, maybe more. I’ve seen people try lots of different solutions but nothing really definitive. Samsung is aware of this problem and as far as I know, they just don’t care because there hasn’t been a fix. Unplugging the TV and waiting five minutes isn’t a solution. It’s a band aid. if I had known, this was gonna be a problem I never would’ve bought this Samsung. My Arc upstairs has zero problems with my LG tv. So frustrating!

Pairing Roku and Sonos Ray

Hi - I recently purchased a Roku TV and a Sonos Ray, but I am unable to pair the Roku remote with the Ray. Are there any options available to accomplish this? Is there a different Roku remote that I can purchase to pair with the Ray? TIA for any help/direction!

Hi - I have a new portable projector and screen for occasional use. How can I set up theatre sound with minimal wires? Is Bluetooth ok ? Must I have a cable stretching from the projector to  a soundbar beneath the screen ? I can only see them on sale about   about a meter long ? Can a soundbar be placed anywhere closer to the viewer /  projector and still create atmos effects ?  Eg to my left or right not face on ?

system can't register Beam 2 - problem checking for updates

I just purchased a Beam 2 and it connects to the TV fine and plays audio, no problem. However, I’m unable to get it working in the Sonos app.It shows Not Registered and then there’s a button that says “Fix it”So I click on “Fix it”, then it says “There was a problem checking for updates - Error code 1’000”. Then I click “Try again” - it says “Checking for updates”. Then it says “We couldn’t update your Beam. Check your network connection and try again later”.I’ve tried absolutely everything: restarted my router, my phone, and the Beam. Checked that the Sonos app is up to date. Tried with Beam on ethernet and Beam on wifi. I don’t have a complex network set up, just a single home wifi network. Please help. I’m losing my mind.

I have 2 One SLs and a Ray I'd like to work in tandem

When I bought the One SLs, I tested them out in one room. Now, I want them where they belong.The Ray is set up in my garage. The One SLs are showing ‘Den’. I want them all in one place as the den doesn’t even exist now. Is there a way to make this transition?

automatic connect roam 2 -stereo to Beam (connected to TV)?

So I had a question regarding automatic connecting through the Sonos app. I currently have a near seamless connection once I navigate through the app and click a couple of things. But I have a problem with the fact that once the TV has been powered on, I have to manually connect my roam 2 stereo setup to the beam. Now at last the question, is it possible at all to automatically connect the stereo paired roams to the Beam once it plays audio from the TV?

Apple TV remote..control Beam 2.. unusual problem

I have an unusual situation.. I originally setup the beam 2 with an older 55” LG TV using optical input (no Earc) with an Apple TV 4k. Worked fine. Then purchased a new 65” Hisense U7. Moved the Beam 2 to the Hisense tv. Kept the LG in the same room. Now the Apple remote controls both TV’s volumes. Apple TV remote is set to IR TV only, not Auto. Any ideas?

No rear sound and sub after upgrate Arc to Arc Ultra

After my upgrade from Arc + Sub + 2 Play1 to Arc ultra+Sub+2 Era 100 I don‘t have rear and sub sound anymore. I see the HT system  / all components in the app, but it doesn‘t work. TV set is from Samsung, Any ideas ;-)?

Suggestions for setting up sound bar and additional speakers when the sound bar can't be centered under the TV.

I have a Samsung frame TV mounted about my fireplace and the size of the TV, mantel and wood trim around the ceiling doesn't allow me to mount a sound bar under the TV.  I have two built in book cases beside the TV and the Sound bar is currently sitting on the left book case and I have two 100s behind the couch for surround and a Sub in the corner.  I am looking for suggestions for a more balanced sound in my living room.  Does anyone know if you can connect a sound bar to the TV and a add a second sound bar to sit on the right book case.  I originally ordered an amp to connect to the TV and planned to place two Sonos 5s in the book case but I was told I needed the AMP with two hard wired speakers which my set up doesn't really allow.  I know I could pay a professional to come in and run wires through the wall but I am hoping to avoid that.Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciate.

I connected the beam soundbar and 2 SYMFONISK speakers. But my TV remote only controls the Beam. I have to operate SYMFONISK via the app. How do I solve this? Thank you in advance

Speech enhancement on arc ultra problem

HiI’m flicking between low, medium and high on the arc ultra as well as off and I’m struggling to tell any difference.I’m happy with the dialogue with it off but to me speech enhancement doesn’t seem to be working when I enable it.I haven’t yet tuned my arc ultra via true play, unsure if that’s the reason.Anyone else find speech enhancement not making any difference to the dialogue?

Sound Surround Help

Hi,  I recently purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra, a Sonos sub-mini, and two Sonos Era 300 speakers. Although I purchased them together, I had to wait for the Eras to be delivered. I set up the Arc with the sub during that time, and it all sounded fantastic. I was really looking forward to the Eras arriving so I could set it all up as a Dolby Atmos sound surround system, obviously all in the same room. I have followed as many guides as possible regarding setting it up. I realize that I must be watching films and music that support Dolby Atmos, I stream music from Spotify and Amazon Music, as I was looking forward to listening to music with this complete music system. I listen to music all day, so it is important for me.  Here's what I don't understand and need help. When playing music from Sonos radio it comes out of all the speakers front and back. However, when I play through Spotify or Amazon Music I can barely hear a thing from the rear speakers.  And when watching a football game last n

WiFi connectivity

Hi, I am just trying to understand how the WiFi setup works when sonos is on home theatre mode. I have an Arc, sub gen 3 and 2 era 300s.When first set up the were all showing as separate speakers on my WiFi network. Now that I have set up the home theatre the Eras are showing as offline, I assumed as the Arc is doing the connection to the router. The sub is still showing up as a separate speaker on the WiFi hub, even though it is part of the home theatre. Is this normal?Strange thing is that the eras, when they were separate showed as connected by ethernet even though they were not.The Arc is showing up as on 2.4ghz band but the sub is showing as 6ghz (even though I thought 6 was not in the spec).I am just wondering if this is all as it should be. It seems strange that the sub is still separate.

Playbar won’t connect to my Sonos App. My wifi crashed. I was able to reconnect with the speakers and the sub but I can’t get the Playbar to recognize the app.

Era 300 surround audio coming out of height driver

So I just ran some tests on my Ultra, gen3 subs, era 300 (surrounds) system. I’m getting what’s supposed to be rear surround audio out of the height driver on the Era 300s. I am getting height audio out of the height driver but I’m also getting rear surround audio out of it too. I used an Atmos Test app on my Apple TV 4K.  Anyone else seeing (hearing) this as well when 300s are being used as surround speakers?  Has Sonos addressed this anywhere?

Sonos arc ultra - losing soundHello, I replaced an old playbar that never failed with a Sonos Arc Ultra.My new current settings:Sonos arc ultra TV sony xf9005Apple TV 4K first generationConnection Sonos arc to tv - hdmi ARC, Apple TV to Sony TV - hdmi cecUnfortunately, this is the beginning of my problems.As I change the channel there are no sound. Then I change the channel again and the sound comes back. When I pause what I’m watching  it loses sounds when I resume. Sometimes help me pause and play again and sometimes i must restart movie. I have reset the system, unplugged, changing hdmi cable, update firmware etc... (all recommended things by sonos chatbot)I contacted sonos support with chat and they told me that the problem is known and caused by the last update and that it should be fixed but they don't know when.I am very disappointed, I wanted to enjoy the new equipment and not wait for an update that will come who knows when.

Optical connection to Playbar

Quick background. Watch movies maybe once a month if that. Cut the cable long ago. Had Amazon Fire Stick connected to Sharp HDTV using playbar, mini-sub and play:1’s for rear sound as home theater setup. Had worked flawlessly for 10 years. Fire Stick started acting up and lost TV audio thru playbar around same time at some point earlier this year.  Assumed it was issue with Fire Stick. Finally purchased new Apple TV and was excited to set up but that quickly evaporated once I realized I was still not getting any audio from tv to playbar. Since the only physical connection is via optical cable I purchased a new one just in case. No matter what rabbit hole I went down I cannot get the Sonos app to recognize my optical cable. No settings on the tv have changed and if they had its a simple switch from fixed (internal speakers) to variable sound (external). This has consumed me for 2 weeks now and I’m at the point of giving up hope  I plan to call support to see if they can help but am not

Sonos Arc Connection Issues on Sonosnet – Help Needed!

Hi everyone,I’ve been facing a frustrating issue with my Sonos Arc and am hoping for some advice.Here’s my setup:Multiple Sonos speakers at home, all connected via Sonosnet (Beam in the Master Bedroom, which is hardwired to my Orbi RBK760 router). My home theater system consists of a Sonos Arc, Sub 3, and 2 Sonos Ones as rears. All other speakers in the house, including the Sub and Ones in the home theater, connect and work fine – except for the Sonos Arc, which frequently drops connection.The problem:The Arc regularly loses connection, even though the Sub and Ones (located right next to the Arc) have no issues. When the Arc is disconnected, it often blinks white, and after restarting, it might alternate between white and red before (sometimes) reconnecting after multiple attempts. The nearest Sonos speaker to the home theater is about 8m away, if that matters.Things I’ve tried:Restarting the Arc (results are inconsistent).
