Help!  Spent several hours today trying to set up my two new ERA 100 speakers with my existing ARC system and Sub Mini, all playing through a big Samsung TV, with Pandora music in the daytime and evening news and a few streaming or network shows in the evening.  I play Pandora music using the app on the Samsung, but the two ERA speakers would not respond with that approach--zero sound from the ERAs.  The tech support person suggested using the Sonos app to access Pandora.  That works, but that’s not how I want to access Pandora.  Pandora has worked just fine using the Samsung TV remote until I added the ERA speakers.  But it won’t work that way with the ERA speakers.  My tech support person seemed as frustrated as I was.  After nearly two hours working with her, I could see that we were getting nowhere by doing down the same paths over and over-with the same negative results.  I suggested that she get with someone who could solve the problem which she promised to try to do.  So I have

I recently got myself an era300 and really impressed. I am (sadly for my wallet) tempted to get another one and use as rears for my beam gen2 /sub mini setup and replace my era 100’s with 300’s. Anyone with a similar setup? My living room is quite small/mis sized for uk standards. 4.37x3.68m and i am already quite impressed with the current setup but there is so much praise out there about era300’s as rears and it’ll be a future investment for the next gen soundbar sonos will release? thoughts, experiences ?

Before this latest version of LG’s TV OS...I had a Sonos Arc setup with my LG G2 and there was just one sound control and the TV’s speakers were not used.  Now...the TV sends sound thru its speakers and the Sonos ARC.   Is this expected? How can I make it so I can manage both sources thru the Sonos app? Am I missing something ?

Hi there. I’m just wondering, if there is any chance of Arc gen.2 are coming this year.Thx.

Our home theater resides in our Condominium living room. The system includes Beam Gen 2, 2 One Sl surrounds and 1 sun mini. We’ve seen multiple YouTube that recommend having 2 Sub’s and begs the question if the current S2 App can connect a 2nd Sub Mini?We opted away from the much larger Sub Gen 3 given its cost & our shared wall Condominium space.Thank you

Hi there, i did everything to be able to listen to movie in atmos, i cant seem to be able to do it. I am able to listen to music in atmos but i cant with movies. I dod all the setup on the tv but i still cant. It always say Stereo Pcm. I am out of idea honestly.

Good morning.I'm in the process of building a house. and I want to build a home cinema. Should I wait for new sonos product launches in 2024?Will there be a possibility of Sonos making tower speakers one day?or with the new sonos2 app I can have the possibility of individually defining each place on my speakers, for example (1 pair of sonos one sl as surround another pair of sl as surround back, sonos amp and two tower speakers like monitor audio or triangle borea as left and right, sonos five as central speaker.....Thanks

Hello, I have a client who is already in the Sonos system. He has a pool house with a TV and wants to add a soundbar. He would also like to play the TV to 2 speakers mounted on the pool house and possibly to the speakers around the pool. Not all the time but likes the option. I was going to suggest a Sonos soundbar for the TV. Then a Sonos amp for the 2 speakers on the pool house and a Sonos port to connect to the amp for the speakers/sub around the pool. Will this work? Can the TV audio going to the soundbar connect to the Sonos Amp and the Sonos Port through to the mesh network? Can you group and ungroup the speakers through the app?I would probably leave the pool house speakers and the pool speakers permanently grouped or bonded and add or subtract the TV soundbar when needed if possible. Let me know if this is possible and if I’m going in the right direction. Thanks

I just bought a Sonos Ray to compliment a newly purchased Denon AVR-S970H, five in ceiling speakers and a sub woofer.  I cannot figure out how to incorporate the newly bought Ray into my existing surround sound set-up.  I tried connecting the optical cord to the AVR, but both optical ports on the AVR are input, not output.I am not an audiophile, so I need some help.  Both Sonos and Denon CSR’s were not helpful. Can I connect the Ray to the AVR via HEOS or Wi-Fi?Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thank you!

This may not be directly related to the Sonos product but I am hoping one of the Sonos community has had the same issue and been able to resolve it.I have Oticon Minirite 1 hearing aids that use a streaming device to connect to the optical output on a TV to stream the audio from the TV to the hearing aids via bluetooth.I have an LG G3 TV and a Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar. If I connect the Beam Gen 2 via the eArc connection the TV locks out all other audio outputs (bluetooth and Optical). The result is I can’t have my hearing aid streamer and the soundbar connected at the same time.I have contacted LG and everything they recommended I try didn’t work. In the end they advised that this is how eArc works as it is the best audio output so all other outputs are disabled.I have an older LG that has Arc and if it is connected to a soundbar all other outputs still operate.Has anyone had the same experience and found a resolution?ThanksRegardsRalph

Hi,Any recommandations between the Sub & Sub mini to add to Beam and 2 era 100 ?Also where to place ? In front, side, back ?Thanks for the help

Hi everyone, so I still have an issue with my LG C2 in combination with my Sonos arc. The arc occasionally stops playing sound. Before it only happened after switching from HDMI source (with Dolby enabled ps5 or Xbox) back to an internal app like YouTube. Problem is solved by changing the sound source on the tv (hdmi to tv speaker to hdmi). But now I’m surprised that even when I watch a tv show on the internal app of the tv itself, it still happens occasionally. When I’m watching a tv show in stereo or 5.1, when the next episode is loaded after the one I was watching was finished , there is no sound. The same trick as before solves the issue. The HDMI inputs have never been turned on in this case. All my setting are correct. I use passthrough and eArc. I have read every topic here and Reddit but couldn’t find a solution. Sonos sends me to LG and LG tells me silly thing like turning of auto power sync etc. Doesn’t solve the issue. Anyone else having this problem? If not, I’m starting to

How do I make a feature request? I love how great my surround setup sounds with Dolby Atmos, but it’s really disappointing not to have DTS decoding for discs with Master Audio, DTS:X, and DTS:HD.  I assume this is just a licensing cost decision but for the premium we pay for Sonos, I’d expect it to be supported (and did when I purchased).  Thanks

My tv is older but has hdmi1 arc connection.  I’m only getting stereo pcm from any source I watch. Hulu firetv apple.  Just tried optical hdmi connector.  Still same.  I was sure it was a tv setting issue but idk.  Help!!

Hi, My brand new Arc is driving me nuts because any time someone touches the TV console the power cord gets shaken loose and the speaker setup stops working!! Has anyone else had this issue? Can you please suggest how I can get the cord replaced as it must be covered under warranty?

Hi! I just added AMP (with ceiling speakers) to my ARC and SUB- )previously had a pair one SLs for Surround so know have to set it all up) but am not getting the AMP to work in the surround- it works along when I separate it and play music to it- but then when I pair it back- it says it succesfully is completed, but then nothing comes from the speakers- any help would be great!!

Hi everyone. Since the 16.1 update the volume on my system has dropped a lot. If  I had it on 45/50 now it is 60/65 & the sound is very flat, not happy at all, it was superb before. LG C2 tv, Sonos gen 2 beam, sub mini, 2 era 100. Any one else having similar problems?

Hello,I've been reading a lot of reviews about the Sonos Sub Mini, every interview have tested the Sub Mini with a soundbar and mainly with one of Sonos' own soundbars (Arc, Beam, Ray). I have Sonos AMP with two bookshelfspeakers (B&W 607) for my TV in a medium sized livingroom. Im wondering if anyone have tried the sub mini in a similar setup and if it works well with that type of setup? Or if anyone have any thoughts on this?

Would it be possible in the Sonos app for macOS, to display the Dolby Atmos label as it is in the iOS app? I often listen to music while working on my Mac, and play Dolby Atmos songs through the Sonos app via Apple Music. But often there are multiple versions of an album, and I can't tell at a glance which is in Atmos and which is not.

hey community, i know it’s an odd question. First of all i have to say i am loving my setup. the only thing i am not feeling 100 percent amazing is beam gen 2 maybe doesnt feel sometimes “full” enough or “expansive” enough for casual tv watching or dialogue for movies. It’s very very clear and clarity is amazing it’s due to size of the bar it feels at times a bit “narrow”. My hunch was wait for the arc gen 2 and either sell my beam gen2 second hand or repurpo in a different room. Having said that i saw samsung q990c system which is a true atmos bar with upfiring bar and rear speaker and it made me question myself a bit. Might sound like i am looking for reassurance and maybe i am :) but i truly love the Sonos system and the flexibility and advantages of modularity of it. I usually watch movies but i also with the quality of system i started to listen to more music in my living room with Era100’s set to Full for music, it’s beautiful.I was just curious if anyone listened to q990c or own

Hello! I recently bought an Arc soundbar and i want to get Atmos from my PS5, but I can't. I can get atmos through Fire Tv Stick 4k, but not ps5... I was wondering if this splitter would do the trick. (I can't afford a HD Fury, I'd rather buy a TV) https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKIeoaE

If you still have trouble using Sonos with a projector, I strongly recommend Orei HDA-934 (https://www.orei.com/collections/new-arrival/products/4k-hdmi-audio-extractor-switch-with-earc-and-edid-management-hda-934). It is only $100. I have Sonos Arc, AMP, and they work perfectly. It supports Dolby Atmos and I have tested on my Apple TV, Xbox, and PS5. More importantly, it supports multiple HDMI inputs. Strongly recommend!

I have Sonos in other parts of the house. Bought a Sonos beam and mini sub for another room. Was working fine for about a month and all of a sudden it now only plays background sounds coming from Netflix and no voices. I use Apple TV gen 4 with Netflix, loaded as an app. Paramount, prime, Apple TV, and other apps have no issue issue. Nothing has changed with my TV or the set up. Voices just stopped coming over the Sonos Beam when playing Netflix. Interesting note my TV is connected to the Internet and has an app for Netflix. Voices work just fine on that. So you would think this may be a Netflix app problem on Apple TV. However, Netflix has no settings to direct sound. So not sure where else to turn.

Sonos has a lot of home theater setup guidance and with an Arc + Sub (3rd) + rear speakers; they state whether the system is 7.1 or 5.1:  For 7.1 you need an Eras pair, and for 5.1 you need the Ones.  Where do the In-Wall Sonance speakers (with TruePlay) fall?  Would they fall in to the 5.1 category like the Ones?I’m debating the In-Wall.  I have existing in-wall (2015 episode speakers with very comparable system specs as the Sonance) however the cut out is 12”x8” vs. the Sonos required 10.75”x6.93”, so I think the hole is too big and would cost (dry-wall) a bit to remedy.  But I think I’d only be missing the TruePlay option.  If you have a similar setup, I’d like your opinion on how well it works.  What I don’t want to do is buy a pair of speakers and then have unused in-wall speakers.p.s. I did search many prior questions and did not see my specific question but several similar ones.

I have the Sonos Sound bar (v2) and an LG tv with a optical out. I bought the Sonos HDMI to digital cable converter but I am not getting anything. The LG is set for optical out. What am I doing wrong?
