Is it normal behaviour for the Sub 4 to produce a soft thump after 10 seconds of pausing whatever is playing? Background: connected to arc gen 1 and happens whatever the input (eg hdmi, air play etc) No other thumps or pops during playback etc. Some threads seems to suggest it may be normal indicating going from active to idle, but other have said it’s not normal - so a little unsure if I should be returning or keeping. Thanks!

I have Sonos Beam gen 2 installed to my TV and have now installed 2 new Era100 as surround speakers. It works but every now and then the sound in the Era100 is interrupted for a few seconds and then it is fine again. The problem occurs both via sound from the TV or if I play music.

My living room is a bit awkward in my opinion. I have a wall right next to my couch and right behind my couch. But the other wall is off a little ways. I have the arc ultra and I’m adding the era 300’s my question is how high to mount them. Plus where they should be facing as well. I will include pictures  

Does anyone have an idea if Dolby atmos passthru can work through some of the cheaper LG nano tvs or not? Say, 75NANO82T6B? I have an Apple TV I use to watch most things that would supply the Dolby atmos, so I’m not needing the tv to natively handle it through its own apps, then passing via e-arc to Sonos arc (at present, hoping to upgrade to ultra).I asked lg but I think they misunderstood me asking if the tv itself could handle it. I’m thinking as long as e-arc it will pass the signal on?!ThanksChris 

HalloHabe seit dem Wochenende ein Problem mit meiner Arc. Sie macht im laufenden Betrieb, egal ob über TV-Box oder PS5, immer mal wieder Neustarts. Die Arc ist über HDMI am TV angeschlossen, sowie die TV-Box und die PS5. Ton auf einmal weg und die LED am Arc blinkt weiß, nach zirka 30-60 Sekunden ist der Ton wieder da. My Sonos Playbaris 10 years old.  When I watch a movie with low Bass sounds or music streaming with a lot of Bass it has started distorting the last few months.  I have restarted, retuned, reset to factory. This happens at any volume and not just when it is up high. The device has been mounted in the same spot all this time.  Could it be damaged hardware, and if so can it be repaired?

I recently bought an Ultra + 2xEra 300 for my new home, I wall mounted the 300’s couple of weeks ago and added them to the Sonos app.. and played a bit of music through them waiting for the day (today) that I’d set up my TV and start up my Ultra.. I followed the start up instructions for the Ultra via the app WiFi connection TV connected via the HDMI arc then added it to my Living Room to join my 300’s. Turned on my TV sound coming from the Ultra but nothing from the 300’s even when I tick the yellow box for 300’s in the set up menu… Could someone be kind enough to let me know what I’m doing wrong.. sorry I’m new to the Sonos family Kind regards Anthony

Hello I bought a Sonos arc gen 2 with sub and era 300 speakers,I am connected by hdmi/arc and the settings on my Panasonic tv says hdmi/arc but above the surround sound is blanked out,should I have surround sound or just leave on hdmi arc ?Thank you.

I just got a Sub Gen 3 today and I can't get it to connect. I go through the factory reset process but it will never go to blinking orange. I've held it down and done the process 5 times in a row and never let go. Does anyone have any insight on this? I can't seem to find anything that helps me fix this. The base system I have at the moment is just a Beam Gen 2.  Thanks!

Hi, everyone,On the app you can adjust the vertical audio of your Arc Ultra, I had always set it to +10 but I don't have rear surrounds on the Era 300's. I just have the Arc Ultra, so I set the vertical audio back to 0 because I found it too noisy in the “Silo” series on Apple TV+. What setting do you recommend? Thanks for advance Actarus

I am looking at buying and Arc Ultra. Does it have to be mounted or will it sit on my mantle below my TV set

 Hi,I recently purchased an arc ultra, sub mini, and two era 300s. My couch is set against the wall and I cannot bring it forward due to area constraints. I have placed my era 300s on the sides about 6-10 inches behind where my ears would be, approximately 10ft apart from one another. Everything sounds fine but for the upwards firing speakers. I have a slanted ceiling which has a closer proximity to the left era 300 (say 8 ft high) and is higher up from the right era 300 (10 ft high). I am wondering if the trueplay actually takes into account the incorrect reflection of the upwards firing speakers which would not bounce directly down, rather, at an angle due to the slope. To give some background, I have tasted through dolby atmos test tracks and I cannot hear the heigh channel as depicted, it sounds as though it is coming from the top of the speaker and not from above. Seeing the posts about inverted mounting and trueplay being supported in the inverted pos

 I purchased the arc after the play bar was no longer supported.after purchasing I use it primarily for tv and am quite disappointed in the sound quality especially for be able to hear speech clearly. I have tried multiple things true play etc software settings. after the latest app nonsense wonder if I should scrap my investment of Sonos as I can’t seem to get a clear sound if setup for my tv which is in a room with high ceilings. Before I do I wanted to see if there might be any solutions to this from some one at Sonos and is there some where I can go to see it action.

Finished basement and a challenge for the ERA 300’s as I cannot use stands (kids running around).   My question/concern is where I need to mount the 300’s will True Play fix any spacing issues with them mounted on opposite walls?   The attached is not 100% to scale, but close.  

Hi, I recently replaced my One SL rears with era 300 and when using xbox series x in games, no sound comes from the rear era 300s.  Is this a bug? I can confirm audio testing setup through the xbox audio setup provides sound, as does the dolby atmos app, but when I play games they have no sound.  Setup is arc soundbar, a pair of era 300 rear, eARC enabled on hdmi 2.1, tv is a new Samsung s90d with earc enabled. Pass-through enabled on xbox (same issue though when not enabled as I recall pass-through is only for apps anyway, and not games). Sonos app shows audio source as Dolby Atmos on the room screen. Xbox, sonos, and tv firmware all up to date via autocheck. Had no issues with the One SLs when they were used to produce rear sound. Any help?

Juste update last sonos firmware and sonos arc won’t connect with tv, this is third time and i’am done with products sonos.

Hi all,More issues with my Arc Ultra that I find very odd considering I never had this issue with the original Arc.The issue: Whenever I stream TV content from the Arc Ultra to other speakers in my house, that audio breaks up pretty consistently on the grouped speakers. I thought this was specific to my Apple TV 4K audio, but when I tested using the built-in apps on my LG OLED C1 TV, the same issue happens.However, when I stream audio from the Sonos App or using Apple Airplay, everything sounds and works fine. Could this possibly be due to an issue with the Arc Ultra?

How to connect my Samsung QN75Q900 TV, Dish Hooper, and Arc Ultra/On the QN75Q900 TV box the eARC port is an “In” not an “Out” which I believe would allow me to connect to the ARC Ultra soundbar.  The Dish Hooper box only has HDMI which use as an output to connect to the QN75Q900 and there is an Optical (Digital Audio Out)

Dear all,I bought myself a sonos Ray to connect it to my Xgimi mogo 2 pro beamer. The beamer only has a HDMI output but i assumed i could use the sonos optical audio adapter to convert the HDMI signal to the optical port of the Sonos Ray. It doesn’t work. Could there be another solution for this problem? is there a way to convert the HDMI audio signal to optical so i can use the Ray? Thank you! 

My setup is as Follow . Sonos Arc , Sub 3 , 2 x era 300, ace and roam.tomorrow I Will Get arc Ultra . Must I Rest all Boxes or only the arc . Paaring Button and power cable and then is reset ?can I take the Same power cable from arc and use for arc Ultra ?  Many thanks 

I have tried everything to alter the outcome of the skips and/or audio drop outs but to no avail. I have changed the tv, the hdmi cables, checked connections, resets, etc. This Beam Gen 2 has this random issue where it drops the sound for a fraction of a second, like a skipping record, and then won’t do it again for random intervals. Sometimes it does it every 5-10 minutes and other times it won’t do it for an hour or 2. It’s so random, so obnoxious.The skips happen at random times that aren’t pushing the system or what have you. The volume level makes no difference nor does the material being watched have any effect. It doesn’t ever seem to do it with music streaming that I can think of so that was useful in the process of elimination. But that’s about it as far as narrowing it down. As I said, I didn’t just change out the hdmi cables (which I did 5 times now, I even went out and bought some “special” ones because I was told by a sound guy that was the issue). Nope, I didn’t
