My Sonos Arc and Sub constantly have trouble connecting to my wifi, but all my other Sonos speakers stay connected and work as they should 

Just got new router: Archer AX50My system:Kitchen - 2xsonos one gen2Living room: sonos beam + 2xone gen2 + sonos subBedroom: sonos amp with 2 passive speakers and subWhen i first got the router last Friday, i was able to get the current sonos system connected to the router by plugging one of the kitchen speakers directly in with an ethernet cable, connect the current network to the new 5ghz network, then unplug the speaker back to the kitchen and job done.Now i woke up this morning and couldn’t see the system again, repeated the step with connecting one speaker to the router again (after completed the sonos app recommended with unplug, restart router and so on).So what do i do now, do i have to factory reset and setup everything again from scratch, or what would work?

I have a very large room I need to deliver sound to, can I install two Sonos Arc's and control them as one zone? I also intend to back this up with a sub for base.

Hi alli have seen a lot of posts here and on Samsung forum about the eArc issue but no mention of my specific issue. Everything set up easily and sounds excellent, however, randomly the sound will completely cut out. Seems to happen after unpausing a show or some times after a fast forward or changing channels Turning the tv off and back on solves it.  I am connected earc out of the tv. I got the Arc a couple of weeks prior to getting the Q60T and the Arc works perfectly. I had the Arc connected to my 2006 Pioneer plasma tv via the optical out on my cable box. Not 1 issue at all. Seems some finger pointing between Samsung and Sonos going on at source of issues? Could it be some growing pains of new technology? I feel pretty confident it’s an eArc issue with the TV and not the Sonos Arc. My set up is as simple as it gets. I am documenting a problem with setting up my Beam, to which I devoted half a day of my time and found two semi-satisfactory solutions.Problem: When I attempt to connect my Beam to my Sony Bravia TV via the HDMI-ARC, the Sonos app says there is “interference” and that I should disconnect other home theater devices.  The only other device I am connected to is my Arris cable box (Suddenlink) via HDMI so I unplug that, and the Beam connects to my TV.  Then I plug the cable box back in.  At that point, the Beam works, and volume can be controlled from the Sony remote.  However, within a few minutes (or sooner than that, if I turn the TV off and back on) the TV starts kicking me out of the Beam and back to TV audio.  Then the Beam needs to be set up again.  Very frustrating.Solution One (Sonos tech support): connect Beam via optical audio adapter instead of HDMI-ARC.  This works and is stable… but the TV volume can only be controlled via the Sonos app, not via the TV remote

Hi All, In the process of moving house and packing bit by bit and I have come across an issue with my Sony TV (KD-49XE9005). I have a Sonos Beam that produced the sound for it and after having packed the Sonos away my TV won’t switch on, via remote or buttons on the TV and I have tried a 5 second power button reset - nothing. The TV worked just prior the unplugging and everything else is as it was previously which is just the power. The Beam was connected via the ARC. I've tried plugging the Beam back in as well as changing the fuse in my power socket and still nothing. Anybody have any other ideas or know what the problem is? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hi I’ve just purchased a Sonos beam and am unsure about set up . I have a Sony KDL 32WE613 Tv with freeview box connected via hdmi to Tv . when I connect beam to second arc hdmi connection on tv will beam recognise input from freeview box thanks 

I just bought an Arc with the One SLs to make a 5.1 channel system. I have a Klipsch sub from an old system. Can the Connect be used to pair up to the Arc? Is that possible? I couldn’t find anything online around that. I don’t want to drop $600 plus on the Amp. I might as well just buy the Sonos sub. specifically for that price. Any insight is appreciated! 

Hello! So I’ve been hunting around for awhile now to try to answer what feels like it should be a relatively simple question. I’m actually looking to potentially invest in a Sonos Arc surround set, at the same time I upgrade my TV. Currently I’m looking at getting an 85” Sony X900H (with the latest firmware upgrade supporting eARC. My question is this - if I want to continue using my AppleTV4K to stream content (specifically for Dolby Atmos), how is that possible with just the one HDMI port on the Arc? I’m aware I need to stream through eARC in order to pass an Atmos signal through, but would I not want to connect the AppleTV through eARC as well? Or pass through the Sonos Arc (which I know I cannot do?). Obviously without owning either the sound bar or the TV, it’s a bit hard to just run these tests myself. I’m wondering - would I just connect the AppleTV to one of the regular HDMI inputs on the TV, then connect an HDMI to the TV’s

I am trying to figure out my mom’s new Arc, and why it would be cutting out while watching TV.  It is working fine while playing music, and two other Beam’s are working fine with their TV’s.  I have not hard wired the Arc yet, but will try that this morning.   The Arc is located far enough away from the router that I do not think this could be a problem.  She has a Samsung Q7 TV which played very nice with the Beam before the Arc arrived.   Any help would be appreciated. 

Hi there,I have a new Arc and Samsung The Frame 2020 TV. No Dolby Atmos showing in Sonos app even though eAr. And Dolbly Atmos TV settings are set. I’m using the Disney Plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime apps. None showing atmos in the now playing window of the Sonos app. Any ideas?Thanks!

I have been having issues with my Sub, it cuts out randomly and noticeable. I cannot change the network channel (Google WiFi Mesh) so I moved the sub to the other side of the room to see if I could reduce eliminate interference.I have a Playbase up front, two Play 1s in the rear and a sub. The Playbase is connected via Ethernet and I checked that I am using Sonosnet in the app (WM0). I noticed that one of my rear Play 1 surrounds was also plugged in via Ethernet so I disconnected the cable and “poof” Sonos network down. All Sonos devices except the Playbase appear in the app. I also have a Beam upstairs, a Play 1 in the basement those disappeared from the network also. I had this problem a long time ago once and turning everything off and bring it up would eventually fix it but not this time.So I tried restoring to default one of my Play 1s and connected to the app but every single time when it is finishing configuration I get the message “Your Play 1 has

Hello I have a beam connected to a lg TV through hmi arc. I used to have 2 play:1 as surrounds and it has worked perfect for 18 months. Suddenly the surrounds stopped working so I factory reset them and added them again. That added fine but then when I try use it they don't work and when I go on the system to see what's happened. It shows Living room(+?+?) And won't work. I then disconnect the surrounds and the play:1 disappears until the next day. They then reappear I add them as surrounds and the same thing happens again. Many thanks Dan

I am using the Sonos S2 app on my Android phone.I purchased an Arc SL from Costco a few days ago. It set up perfectly.I just tried to add a Sub S3. Big problems adding it to my Arc SL.I see these messages:“Your Sub has been added to your system, but it will remain unused until you connect it later.” I tapped the icon labeled “Connect Sub to a product.” “Let’s add a Sub to one of your rooms. Would you like to use Sub with Sonos Arc SL?” I hit the Connect button. “Adding Sub. This may take a moment...” The Sub had a flashing white light. Then the light went to steady. Then it dimmed. “There was a problem adding your Sub. Check the network connection and make sure your product is powered on.”I tried three times, with the same results.I re-booted my wireless access point and tried again. Same results.What am I missing?Thanks in advance for your help.

Constantly dropping off, sky router sr115 or beam restart works temporarily. Reserving ip doesn’t seem to help. Beam is one shelf above the router. Any idea on solving would be appreciated. 

Is it common to use both Sonos soundbar and Sonos AMP with ARC support. my question is TV only have one single eARC port , is there any audio extractor that can split TV’s eARC port into  two eARC ports so that I can connect two eARC devices such as the Soundbar and Sonso Amp to  power my own speakers. 

I am trying to set up my beam on a 2011 LG tv.  The tv manual says it's simplink supported but I can't actually select simplink (not an option).  This is the end of my knowledge of technology and need some help.  Can't I skip this?  I've selected the HDMI /arc but that's as far as I can go. Thanks!

Hi,Got a new Sonos Arc SL, complete with two One SL and a sub gen3. It is connected to Vizio tv e601i-a3 using the provided HDMI cable to the HDMI 1 slot in the tv, which is the only ARC slot available. In HDMI 2 I have a Fire TV cube. The problem, neither the Sonos app nor the tv recognize the CEC function. Initially, when it was fist setup everything worked and the tv recognized CEC. Now, when I try to discover CEC devices it does not discover the Sonos Arc nor the Amazon Cube, both CEC devices. At this point I'm leaning towards a problem with the TV, that is a bit old.FYI - Everything works… Sound and surround works, comes out in Dolby, but the app does not connect to the TV (below pic of error), nor the TV recognize the CEC function; it does not matter how many times I do it. I found a work around to set up the TV remote with the app, so I can control the soundbar volume with te remotes, but other CEC functions do not work. Again, in

Hi,I have just bought my second Sonos - Beam. First Sonos I have is One SL and it is located in bedroom (1st floor in detached house). Due to floors I have one router (utility room) and two access points - on each floor. All works fine, one WIFI.When I am on ground floor I only can see Beam (living room), when I go upstairs my system reload and I can see only One SL. I understand it is because of wifi from AP (when I am in living room, system can’t see One SL from bedroom - it is in the range of AP on 1st floor). It works fine, and relod is smooth but there is a problem with my wife’s iphone. She has Sonos S2 app too and it is signed to the same account (my account). The same mail and password. But we still can’t see Beam on her phone. In the same time I see it on my phone (and by account on web by laptop, both Sonons are online) and on her iphone there is still only One SL. Why? I’m trying to ascertain if I need a LAN wired connection to my ARC if using an a Sonos amp for my rear ceiling 8 ohm speakers?  My amp is in rack in comms room 10 metres away from my Arc and TV.  

Hi guys I’ve just upgraded my Sonos from the sound bar to the Sonos arc , I used to get Dolby digital with the sound bar using optical , but as I brought the Xbox series x they changed from optical to hdmi , now My tv Samsung is 7 years old but does have hdmi Arc not earc , anyway I’m plugging my arc into the hdmi arc port and my series x into an hdmi port , (I don’t have a hdmi 2.1port  ) but all I’m getting is PCM now and I can’t even change it to Dolby digital at all ?? Unfortunately I’m not a tv wiz at all , any help ? Also I seen on YouTube u can buy a device called fury cavana which can give u dolby atmos ? Any help appreciated  

Hello,I have a Beam and a Sub hooked up to a 2019 Samsung Q7DR.I actually have two questions. See below.ISSUE 1:When using the Spotify app from the TV’s menu, I can’t get Dolby Digital. PCM Is the only option.When I use the Xbox One’s Spotify app, I get Dolby Digital sound.Also, the DD sound works through other apps such as Netflix and Youtube. ISSUE 2:Often when I pause something or turn the TV off and then on, the Beam resets the volume to zero.I don’t think this is a consistent thing, but I’m not really sure. Thanks!

Hi there,      My New Sonos ARC is losing connection to my Samsung tv every time I turn off the tv, to reconnect i need to unplug the tv and replug then the ARC finds the connection again, nothing else I plug into the hdmi ports on the tv has this problem. Is this a known problem and is there an update or fix I can use.Thanks.

So I have a beam with 2 play 1s for surround and a connect amp with in ceiling speakers and an svs sub hooked up to it. The beam is connected to the TV via hdmi arc. The issue I have is that when controlling the volume of the TV with its remote it only adjusts the volume of the beam and play 1s. The connect amp volume doesn't change. Is there a fix for this? And I do not want the in ceiling speakers to be surrounds. Thanks.
