Hi All,In my 2nd TV room I have a LG C7 connected to optical to a Sonos playbar (with Sonos 1 “surrounds” and Sonos subwoofer). Obviously had this for many years and now with the advent of lots of streaming material being 5.1, Atmos etc. I’m thinking of upgrading the playbar to a Beam to get the full benefit of 5.1, Atmos etc. The listening area is relatively small ~3m x ~3m (dining area just off kitchen).I working on the assumption that the C7 eARC will output Atmos to the Beam (my C9 in the lounge does) and that the sonos 1 (original) / subwoofer (original) will all work? The speakers currently only work with the S1 app but the Beam is S2 - do I need to worry about that?

I have setup a projector that projects a picture onto my garage door (16 x 9). I then put an Arc in the center of the garage (hanging below the garage door opener). I added two Fives in the back corners and a Gen 3 Sub on the left wall near the rear corner. It already sounds awesome, but I am adding a Gen 3 sub to be on the right wall near the front corner (kitty corner).I was a little worried that the Arc being close to the ceiling would sound bad, but it really sounds awesome (it is about 30” below the ceiling).Probably don’t need it, but curious if adding two SL’s centered on the walls would enhance it or not (if you can add that many to the system).

Hello everyone,I’m having a problem where certain keywords in movies etc. is activating the Google Assistant. When it happens sound is muted until it deactivates again (few seconds). I know I’m able to turn off the microphone manually but I’m wondering if there’s a way to do it automatically when watching TV? I’ve got no use for Google Assistant during movies and TV-shows anyway.Am I able to contact Sonos directly with feature requests?Thanks in advance. 

I’ve had my Beam for a while and worked fine with my LG OLED (2019) but I updated to the new LG OLED C2(2022) and it is constantly switching between ARC and internal speakers every few seconds. I have everything setup and sound comes out of Beam perfectly and then the tv switches back to internal speakers for less than 5 seconds and then back to ARC 

My setup is an Arc, Sub Gen 3, and 2 Sonos SL for surround sound connected through HDMI Arc to Sony A80J. When playing a movie or watching anything with surround audio on, the main “voice” comes from one of the SL speakers instead of the Arc. As if that back-left speaker is the center… I’ve tried everything. Factory reset and reconnected all products. Upgraded HDMI cables. Trueplay. Everything. And every time the same thing happens.Help would be much appreciated!

I set up home theater in Bedroom with a Beam 2 and Play 1’s for surrounds. It worked fine and I used Trueplay with no problem.I recently bought a mini sub auto add to the mix. When I tried to use the Trueplay with the mini sub added I would get an error message saying it cannot locate a speaker and to try again. It couldn’t identify which speaker but I assumed it was the mini sub since that was the last added speaker before problem.I’ve been on the phone three times today for over three hours with Sonos and they basically keep telling me the same thing over and over… Which is basically unplug, reset, try again etc. They also had me call Verizon to force a change to less crowded channel. I was on the phone with Verizon FiOS for an hour but changing of channel had no effect. Trueplay still same error message. I personally think there is something wrong with the mini sub as I can’t even tell if any base is coming out of it no matter what I play. Hi,I have a new setup with a Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini + 2 Ones. I've made trueplay calibration but I have a doubt with some settings. I feel that the Beam calibration is very flat, for example when you watch a TV program like news, sports, etc. Sounds very flat and tiny. So I'm thinking of increasing the bass but no the subwoofer bass, because on the films is very good. Which is the difference between the equalizer bass slider and the Sub level slider? I've tried to increase the eq bass level (to increase the mediums) and affects also to the Sub Mini sound increasing the bass. Those settings affects to different frequencies? Thanks!

I apologize if this has been asked, I could not find anything.I have a Samsung Q80B television.  My son bought us a SONOS Beam and 2 SONOS One speakers.  The intent was to use the SONOS Ones as 2 personal speakers to allow my wife and I to adjust the One volume to aid in hearing some things we have trouble picking up with just TV speaker or soundbar.From what I have read, this is not really the intent.  We tried having them as surround, but that did not work.  We tried them as a group, that did not work.  We now have them grouped with the Beam, which seems to work, but we encounter the lip synch issue I have read about.  I have 2 other issues that are more annoying.  First, the audio tends to “skip”.  More specifically, the audio will be playing and then just go blank for a split second, just long enough to be noticeable. Second, the One speaker disconnects from the group.  The beam will still be connected to the TV, but the Ones will not.  The light on the top is white, and if I press

Hi all,1 was wondering if someone could offer me some advice.I've recently purchased a ray for my gaming room, and I'm seeing some noticeable audio lag. I am about to fit 2Sonos Ones as rear surrounds and would like to get all my settings correct first.PS5 is connected to TV via 8k HDMI Cable, tv ray is connected to TV Optical Output.TV is a Samsung UE55RU7470UXXU.I've played around with the TV audio delay setting which effects HDMI-ARC, which I know the ray doesn't use, and SPDIF. I've also played with the audio delay sync within the Sonos App. I'm still not able to find a solution.My settings are as follows:PS5 Settings: Audio output - Output Device: HDMI Device (Sound Bar) Audio output - HDMI device type: Sound BarAudio output - Audio Format: DolbyTV Settings: Sound Output: Optical Sound Mode: Game Digital Audio Format: Dolby Digital Digital Output AudioDelay: 100Sonos app is showing Dolby Digital 5.1 on the Ray.Any advice would be appreciated. Hello,Samsung TV and Arc are not connecting.  My previous TV was a Vizio.  As well as the Vizio, the connection issue occurred.  The audio would come back as soon as I unplugged the HDMI and/or Arc.  The Samsung does not have that problem.There is no longer an option for Home receiver Audio output on the TV.Additionally, I use a Nvidia Shield to view my content.Is this a problem with the cable, TV, or Arc?The HDMI has been replaced, but the problem persists. 

Hi all. So far I think this is isolated to Atmos content however randomly while watching Prime Video or Disney content outputting Atmos (through fire stick 4K) I will lose signal (Beam gen 2 and two one sl’s as surround). When it happens I lose sound, the screen flashes and my tv’s LG logo appears for a second before going back to Disney or prime (whatever I’m watching).   I can push play and everything works again, but almost seems like something with the HDMI arc input is being “lost” for a split second.  Or maybe it’s the signal loss for a split second?  I’ve changed HDMI cords and powered down both the tv and Beam to try and reset but no luck. Randomly happens, sometimes 5 minutes in and other times maybe 15 in. Any ideas?fyi I recently changed to using SonosNet (beam hardwired Ethernet) as opposed to all wireless is this possibly an issue that anyone knows about?Setup as follows:Moderator edit: Removed picture with serial numbers

So, have a TCL Model#55S546 and I am streaming via a 4k Fire Stick. This is hooked up via an EARC to a Beam(Gen 1). There is a lip sync issue that is extremely noticeable. Any advice? On the sound setting on the TV, it's set to AUTO. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I am building a home theatre and am wondering what the best Sonos speaker would be when using my Apple TV?  Any suggestions?

Upto now I've been toggling CEC (viera link) on and off to switch between Beam and TV speakers as a work around. Would adding an HDMI switch into the connection with an empty port work ? ie switch to the empty port when not wanting to use Beam, or would the TV just send the signal to the empty port anyway ?

Setup: Arc, 2 One SL, sub (gen 3), LG TV Oled65cx, PlayStation 5 I have my PS5 as my go to media source (as well as video games) and it's connected to my tv with an eArc hmdi cable. I then have the exact same cable running from the eArc port on my tv to the Arc. Whenever I watch something (like Dune on disc) I cannot get Dolby Atmos sound. Sonos app tells me I have Multichannel PCM 5.1.Dolby Atmos is enabled on Tv, Digital Sound Out is set to Pass Through, and eArc in enabled. On my PlayStation I have my audio output set to HDMI Device, HDMI type as Av Amplifier, 7.1 channels and Dolby set as a priority    

Hi   I Bought a Beam which was so problematic so Sonos gave me a new one 😃The new one is falling out when I'm using it as a speaker streaming radio.It is impossible to get it back in any other way than take out the power cord.Anything I can do?       

Good day I need assistance on how to connect my sonos ray soundbar I have downloaded the app but it still does not want to connect I'm using wifi and I'm also not coming to get the soundbar ligh green so I have no idea how this work can anybody please help.

Hi,My Xbox has a tendency to play at a much louder volume than my television when there is no headset attached.  Last night, the headset disconnected and the sound played through my Sonos Arc/Sub/One(s) instead - briefly - but it was pretty loud.  It was only a second or two but since I don’t typically blast the speakers, I’m mildly concerned that this could potentially damage the speakers.  Of note, they are working properly and there’s no evidence anything actually happened.  I really would like to know how the speakers are designed and if that 2-3 second volume blast could do anything troublesome. The actual volume was probably 30% max (30) but it was loud.   Can someone enlighten me? Like, how would I know if one of the eleven internal Arc speakers wasn’t working?  Thanks!

Is this possible?I have:An older Samsung LCD TV UN55F7060Samsung Soundbar with wireless sub2 units of Play 5 Gen 2Any way to have the Play 5s to pair to the tv and watch movies with it? Maybe use the Plays as 2 rear speakers?Thanks for your help.

Every morning my Sonos Beam audio does not turn on.  The devices are connected but the audio is not on.

I just got the arc and sub gen 3 And picked up a Connect:Amp gen 2 to power rear in ceiling surrounds.In app set up calls for connecting both arc and amp to router via ether net wire.Is this a permanent set up or temp for them to join together?That's my ?Thanks in advance.Jbarrios60  Moderator edit: Corrected “Amp” to “Connect:Amp” as it’s an important difference for this question.

I have in ceiling sonos speakers connected to AMP which is wired and arc sl +sub on wifi. The sonos S2 app says I have to connect the arc via ethernet cable. Unfortunately, I cannot run an ethernet cable to the arc. How do I have the surround working without arc connected via cable?

I've just bought a Hisense TV and a Sonos Ray soundbar, and they sound lovely together. But like many others I've hit a problem controlling the volume with a remote.I think the TV remote is a no-go, because it is RF not IR. But I also have an ancient Virginmedia remote that controls my V6 box, and I feel that ought to work. But so far, no luck.When I go through the TV remote setup on the Sonos app it asks me to hit the volume key three times. When I do, a light flashes three times on the Ray, so it's definitely received some kind of signal. But it produces the messageWe didn't detect a signal from your TV remote. Point it directly at your Ray when you press the button.I also have a remote for my DVD player and that got further in the setup. But it doesn't have a mute button, so I got stuck at that point.Any suggestions, or am I stuck with the app and the buttons on the Ray?
