I have a LG 98uh5f digital display that allows for 4 simultaneous inputs for a 2x2 TV wall panel for my home theater.  The unit does not have HDMI-ARC or Optical connections.

I would like to connect the TV to an audio set up that includes:

  • 2 Sonos Amp (with 2 zones)
  • 8 Architectural speakers

The sources I have setup currently are:

  • 2 xFinity cable boxes
  • Roku
  • Chromecast

My goal was to use an audio output of the TV to supply audio to the Amp from the Master TV panel (minimally), or the individual sources (without manually switching-ideally)

Here are the available inputs:

If you want surround sound, you’ll need to jump through some hoops. If you want stereo, try routing the TV’s audio out to Line-In on one of the AMP’s. Audio input switching using this scheme would be done by the TV. I don’t know how convenient this will be for the operator. If you already own the AMP’s and speakers, the total cost for this trial would be purchasing the cable if you don’t already own one.
