When watching Netflix which automatically sets the audio to a 5.1 output - the app shows Dobly Digital 5.1 - I have found multiple times that the Ray produces weird synthesizer tones and sounds that go as soon as I change the TV settings to PCM or the Netflix setting to English with no 5.1. I’ve been advised by Sonos to set my TV to PCM however this noticeably reduced the volume and sound quality of other aspects. 

Hello, I have a question. I have connected a Sonos Ray to a TV via optical cable, PS5 is connected to the TV via HDMI, I only hear sound from RAY and not from the SONOS SYNFONIK rear speakers, what should I do to get 5.1? Thank you very much for your help!!

I just bought the arc to replace my Denon surround and home theatre PC setup.  I have everything connected.  Pc to hdmi in on the tv with the hdmi (arc) On the tv going to the Sonos Arc. All appears well except I can’t seem to choose Atmos in windows spatial sound.  It just doesn’t exist in the drop-down but the licence says it’s active. What have I missed here. 

On my tv setup with lg oled and Apple TV, in order to get Atmos sound each time I use the tv, I have unplug the Arc and plug back in..then everything works fine until the next time i watch tv… any idea how to fix this?

So I have a gen1 Beam & I've just changed my TV from the Philips 50PUS8204 to the Philips 65OLED707. It's currently connected via an HDMI port with arc.I've noticed that when I'm watching Sky then switch to an app via the android TV home screen there's no sound. I need to use the remote to put the TV into standby then turn it on again to get the sound to switch over. I’d guess the issue is in switching from an HDMI source to something powered via the Android TV portion although I never had this issue with my previous Philips Android TV. Any ideas on a resolution or what could be causing it?

I have just set up my new Arc, and I am using my two Play 3's as rear speakers. They work perfectly when playing music through Spotify. Yet when using the TV, sound only comes through the Arc Can someone please let me know what I am doing wrong     

I have a beam gen 2 and sub gen 2. I am wanting to connect some 3rd party ceiling speakers for surround sound. Is this possible using a connect:amp s2?TIA

I’m trying to hide my cables and want a setup without visible wires.  I have 2 sonos ones at both right and left of my bookshelves with a wall mounted TV.  I was told by a sonos reseller that in order to connect my sonos ones to my Samsung frame 2020, I need a sonos amp.  I have connected my sonos amp to my Samsung frame box (hdmi eArc) but no volume comes up. And I can’t connect it to my sonos ones.  Please help! 

My Sonos Bar + 2 Speakers + 1 bass was installed by a profesional in my previous apartment. When I sold it all my furniture included my Sonos has been in a storage for 2 years. Now I have a new appartment and I want to reinstall the system but I hav no idea haw to do it. How can I ge a help; somebody coming to my place or guiding me by phone A big thank you in advance fo any advice

I have a new Apple TV (Wireless Only) that is connected to a Samsung UN43AU8000F TV with an optical cable going to a Sonos Playbar and the mute function does not work (Volume works fine). If I press the mute button, the Playbar will mute for a second and then unmute. What's interesting is the Samsung remote itself does not have a mute button directly, the mute function is pressing on the center of the toggle up/down volume button. I have another Apple TV connected to a higher model Samsung w/ Playbar that has no issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have tried resetting the remote and various other articles I have found on the Sonos & Apple forums.

Under the music note on the Sonos app I lost the TV icon which had immediately synchronized the TV audio with the Sonos speakers.  Now apparently I have to turn off the TV speakers before  the Sonos takes over. Is there anyway to get the TV icon back on the Sonos app under the music note?

Hello, I am a relatively new Sonos user. I do enjoy a good sounding system.Currently I own the arc and sun gen3. I find the midbass very much lacking specially in alternative music however if I turn up the bass in eq or sub volume the kick drums gets really powerful and sometimes annoyingly punchy.One example may be La Calin by Serhat Durmus. I know this song well and the bass doesnot sound like anything it’s supposed to. does anyone else has the same problem or is it just me. thanks  

Hi all, Less than a month back I joined Sonos world and started with Sonos Arc. Last night picked up Sonos Sub Mini.  What’s the best settings you guys would recommend for optimal sound performance. Does the EQ bass decrease,  reduce it for Sub Mini or just the Arc? ? It’s pretty confusing and sonos isn’t responding yet.  Additionally, do you guys prefer putting Sonos Sub Mini near couch or next to TV stand?  Thank you!

My tv (2018 or 2019 Panasonic  TX-55FX555B) only has normal arc. It apparently doesn’t have dolby digital plus that I read is needed to support an external soundbar with atmos. Is that true? So no point in buying the beam?

I’ve been having problems with the Sub (Gen 3) for some time now. I have the Arc/Sub Gen 3/One SL in a home theatre with the Sony XR-83A90J. There’s this faint sound the subwoofer makes everytime the TV is turned on, it didn’t happen in the beginning. I’m not sure why it happens now. When watching a movie the impression is that the subwoofer is not there sometimes while other times it’s like it’s just making this loud one-note bass sound that is too much and very annoying. I tried playing a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 test tone and while all channels sound as they should from the other speakers, the subwoofer channel is not heard from the Sub but the Arc.I use this file here https://www.demolandia.net/downloads.html?id=2259505.The system is tuned with Trueplay with no further adjustments.Any ideas? My Arc was replaced recent

There maybe issues but the support team and community folks will always help as always. Afraid the latest update to 15.1 although completed and installed leaves trueplay and tv set up greyed out and requests update but seems to be in a non functioning loop. Does not inspire for Era update.

Hi All, Since this morning my Arc is sending out a short burst of 4 to 5 beeps (very fast in a row) every 5 minutes. As far as I know I have not changed anything in the system.It’s quite anoying. Does anybody have a clue where this sound comes from? edit : it doesn’t matter if the Arc is on and produces sound, the beep is still hears exactly every 5 minutes. Thanks,

Arc, Sub, 2x SL     new LG TV with eARC   Media Players:  Webos, Shield Pro,  AppleTV, XBOXThis is weird,  if the Netflix title says Atmos = great.  But only some of the 4 players work with the sonos app indicating atmos.    You would think it would be consistent.    The XBOX is the most consistent.egWatch Peaky Blinders on Shield, app says Dolby Mutlichannel PCM 2.0 Watch Peaky Blinders on XBOX, app says Dolby Atmos Watch F1 Drive to Survive on Shield, app sys Dolby Atmos Simplistically this leads to me thinking all Netflix atmos tiles are are not the same/different on different platforms.weirdness      

Have arc,sub and two one SLs in the same room. ARC is registered to another room. Need to change so that all the components registered to the same room

I currently have 2 play 1s, an arc, and a sub for surround sound. Can I get 2 one sls to add to this setup for 5.1 surround sound or do all 4 of my satellite speakers have to be the same. I know u can't pair a play one with and sl but wasn't sure if 2 of each would work

Hi recently added a second play 5 and set up with TV and Beam but now unable to connect to my line in for turntable it’s now longer there on my app? Any ideas
