My old Sonos Playbar is done.   I want to buy a Sonos Arc but note that it is only compatible with HDMI Arc.  I only have an optical cable coming out of my TV.  Is there an adapter I can use to connect my optical cable to the Sonos Arc?

Hello,I just bought Sonos Arc and two Sonos One. I own the LG Tv lg65qned826qb. The TV keeps turning on on its own after 30 secs. I called the LG Customer Service and they claim it is a speaker’s issue. I tried disconnecting everything and reconnecting but the problem persists.is there anything I could do apart from putting the cable on and off the Arc HDMI port? Any other trick? thanks!

I have a beam gen 1 and recently found an open box Arc for $400. I hooked it up and will have to say I am not impressed with the Arc. It didn’t have a wow facture to me. All of my TV settings are correct on my 1 Year old Sony TV. I tried trueplay but it didn’t seam to make a difference. I am debating on returning the arc and getting a mini sub for the gen 1 or returning the arc and getting a gen2. I don’t have the money to purchase a sub for the arc just to make it sound better. 

About 2 days ago while watching a show, my Sub Mini and both One SLs just seemed to lose connection. The Arc was still working fine so I went into the app and sure enough it said there were 3 issues. Cool, so I went in to "fix it" but I kept receiving an error that no products could be found and to try again later. Fine, we were about to go to bed so I tried again yesterday, same issue. I attempted to research and troubleshoot this for hours yesterday and have started back this morning.. I'm becoming exhausted. This has never happened before and NOTHING has changed with my network. The Arc still shows "Excellent Connection" in the app.At this point, I've tried resetting the router and modem and even factory resetting the speakers. When I factory reset the sub for example, I do get a message that prompts me to set up the sub mini. So cool, its definitely being recognized. It connects to the wifi! Hi all, so I just want to know what settings to use on both my firestick and on my LG TV, in order to get the best sound possible with my Beam 2.Basically, I only have the beam, no other sonos speakers so don't have surround sound. I have read loads about the best settings to use, but can't seem to really find a solid answer.My tv is an LG 50UP75006LF 4K tv. My firestick is a 4K firestick plugged into an hdmi port on the TV. I have a beam gen 2 soundbar plugged into the eArc HDMI on the TV.I will list the current options I have on both the TV and Firestick, and I really need to know what to set them to for the best sound experience. I have a Sonos Beam Gen2, two Sonos One SLs and a Sub-Mini in my living room for my television setup. I saw a great deal that’s hard to pass up for two additional Sono One SLs since they are on clearance. Is there anyway to add them to my television setup or I’ve already maxed out for my television? I’m going to still buy them even if I cannot use them for the TV but I thought to ask still.  Thank you for the help!

Hoping someone has this exact setup and can give me some configuration advice.  I just bought a Beam Gen 2 and was all excited about getting it hooked up to my Sony Bravia 55-in smart TV.  It didn’t work out as planned though.  I first ran into - and later resolved - the S1 vs S2 Sonos app because until I bought the Beam Gen 2 I had an entirely S1 (old-er) Sonos system that worked fine.  So now I have most of my speakers from the S1 transferred over to S2 and the Beam Gen 2 is there.  I still have one problem speaker (a Play 5) that’s still S1 and I have to reconnect it from scratch - but that’s a question for another day.  Today’s question is that despite (even with Sonos Tech Support help) I still can’t get the Beam Gen 2 to connect with the Sony Bravia TV.  It is plugged into an ARC-HDMI connector as required, but whatever we (Tech Support and I) tried, nothing seemed to work.  We concluded that the problem lies with the TV rather than the Beam Gen 2, and that’s the reason for my qu

What is the distance between the rubber "feet" on the Ray?

Can I also ask if it is normal for the HDMI port on the Arc to be very sensitive to any touch / movements?  When I jiggle it even in the slightest, I risk losing the connection to my TV?  Its a brand new cable specifically compatible for up to 8K with eArc support.

Hi all,On Friday I ordered the Sonos Arc but quickly called the store to cancel my order when I found out that DTS-HD was not supported, however on doing more research it appears there are ways to get DTS-HD content playing via PCM. It's shame, as the Sonos Arc is almost perfect for my needs except for this one key omission. What I want to know is - how would I go about getting the DTS-HD support via PCM? Does anyone here have a Sony TV, Panasonic Player and Sonos Arc who has achieved this? If possible, I'd like to still get the Arc if I can make it work for my setup. I have until Monday to decide on the order, so I hope there is an option.I'm not too bothered about DTS:X, most of my 4K discs have Atmos support. It's just my 1080p Blu-ray collection that is 90% DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1.Seen a few posts on this already, but they are all related to LG TVs.Thank you in advanced for your help,- Alex

I have an amp connected to my tv to work speakers in ceiling.  I purchased the beam 2nd generation and the sub mini.  I don’t know what to connect to what?  Says to connect Beam to HDMI Arc on TV but the amp is connected to it. ...now what?

Hello Sonos Community.We’re (hopefully) in the process of moving house and I’ve got a connectivity logistics question I’d appreciate some help with.Currently we have a Sonos Arc plus a Sub Mini with 2xGen Sonos Ones as surrounds connected via eARC to a 55” Samsung Frame TV One Connect box where Apple TV 4K, PS5 and Nintendo Switch are all connected.As part of this house move, I want to reintroduce a cinema screen and projector into the mix but trying to work out how to reuse all the same AV sources without having to rewire anything but continue to use the Arc setup for all the sound. The Samsung OneConnect box seems to complicate things a little because of the proprietary cable to the screen vs HDMI and I don’t know how a HDMI switch might complicate the audio to the Arc.I had thought a HDMI switch initially so as not to confuse the projector which source is active at anyone time (otherwise ensuring all non used devices are switched off) but don’t know how that would work in this setup

If I use era 100 for rear spakers are they mono or do they still work in stereo 

I have an Arc, sub gen 2 and a pair era 300’s.  I found an old thread that was advising if you have an arc connected via Ethernet, the sub should not be connected Ethernet because of the 5ghz network the home theater setup creates for itself.  The person in the tread had a gen 3 sub and since I have a gen 2, I was wondering if this is still the case.  FYI, I also have 3 other rooms that are all wireless connections  Thanks

My entertainment space is rather limited, around 3.5x3m currently having an Arc and Sub gen3. It would be nice to have a pair of Era 300s as surround speakers but I’m not sure if they would work in this space. Especially as I need to keep the shelf on the wall (I can move it but it has to be on that wall). This is the space, would it make sense to get those speakers here and if so, how should I place them? 

My Ray sound bar is about one year old. It is connected to my TV. Recently it has been making a high pitched alarm/alert siren sound. The sound is deafening so I unplug it and that is the only way it stops. The sound goes off after close to an hour of using the sound bar, but it never did that before. It just started happening last week. Please advise. 

Hi, I have an issue with my Sonos soundbar setup.I have a 2021 Samsung AU8000 TV, Sonos Beam Gen 2 (Sonos HDMI cable) and Apple TV 4K 2022 (connected via HDMI 2.1 cable).I have just upgraded from Apple TV 4K 2017 and I started having a strange sound issue with eARC, Pass-through and Dolby Atmos enabled. The sound is distorted - high pitched and out-of-sync.If I disable any of the mentioned options, it goes back to normal. Also, this applies only to content from ATV, all internal Samsung apps sound fine.I’ve upgraded my ATV HDMI cable (no change), updated Sonos to 15.10, re-adopted my Sonos System and tried myriad different options on the TV or ATV.So in conclusion, the only change was upgrading Apple TV from 2017 to 2022 model and the issue appeared.
