Can anyone help to explain why the volume for our Sonos system constantly changes? Sometimes when watching movies on foxtel 20 will be very loud, then on other occasions watching the same movie on foxtel we have to turn the volume up to 40 just to hear it properly.  It’s the same in other streaming services like Prime. Sometimes having the volume 12 is plenty then other times watching the same TV on Prime we have to turn it right up again.  I also find that when people are talking on the TV it’s soft and it’s hard to hear but when there’s music or action scene it’s extremely loud, we are always having to turn the volume up and down. 

My LG tv remote has just stopped being able to control my Sonos volume. I have tried setting up again through settings as advised through other posts. Have tried the Device Connect wizard too however Sonos doesn’t come up as a manufacturer to select. Have tried delinking and have tried setting up as a new remote. Signal goes to Playbar when tv is off (as light goes on) however doesn’t seem to register when tv is on. I just get a circle with a diagonal line through it when I press volume up or down or mute. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Feature Request: different surround levels for spatial audio vs stereo When listening to atmos content via Apple Music, I feel the need to turn up the surround music slider. It is then too loud on the surrounds when a traditional stereo track comes on. I have the surrounds set to full.  I’d like there to be separate volume sliders for Spatial Audio surrounds and stereo audio surrounds, just like tv vs music, but a subcategory within music.

my living room setup: TCL TV w/ROKU OS w/hdmi(arc) + Sonos Amp + 2 external non-Sonos speakerseverything working, cool. one weird phenomenon i’ve noticed: If I’m listening to music via the Sonos app and I set the TCL ROKU TV Digital output format setting to Passthrough or Stereo, then click around on the TV, the audio quickly returns to the TV (at the volume it was previously). Fine. Good.If I’m listening to music via the Sonos app and I set the TCL ROKU TV Digital output format setting to Auto, then click around on the TV, the audio does NOT return to the TV whatsoever and i get a pop-up on the Sonos App asking whether I want to send the Sonos app music to the external speakers or have the TV audio go to the speakers. Okay. Cool. I can then send the audio back to the TV by unselecting that particular room audio (the living room) in the Sonos app, but the TV volume does NOT then immediately go back to the volume it was previously. It’s at 0. Morning all, probably a very silly question but here we go.I have the arcana, sonos arc with one’s and a sub. Yet the only atmos I have ever seen is on Amazon prime with jack ryan, I’ve tried Netflix (top subscription) Disney plus etc but no atmosany ideas?cheersjon 

I had my SONOS playbar,  Sub and. PlayOne system fully connected and. working with my previous 65. inch HD TV.  I just bought a new LG 77 inch OLED, connected with the same Optical cable and. My room on App does. not recognize a TV input like before.  Sound on TV speakers work fine,but cannot get sound to come. through my SONOS.  They system accepts all other media types, just not the TV.  I have a cable box and wi-fi…and the only think I changed was the TV.   Turned everything off and unplugged for. two minutes.  nothing working.

My new Sonos Beam with the mini Sonos sub and two Sonos SL’s has been randomly and quickly increasing to max volume?  Have a similar set up in another room with the Arc but have never experienced this issue. Not sure how to go about troubleshooting this issue as it seems to me that’s it’s an internal issue, nothing I’ve done. Any thoughts?

What do i have to do to get power to my sonos ray soundbar initial setup.  I have everything connected i dont have an ethernet cable hooked to my tv.  Would this cause a problem with powering on.  I dont see any sort of power switch on soundbar

Hi, i just bought Sonos Arm and i have a sound trouble. My Sub Gen 1 seam like not working at 100%. Also, I cannot conect my two Sonos SL. My Apps didn’t find them. Can you help me? Thanks

So I know you can only add two additional rear speakers to the Arc soundbar, but due to the nature of the house each speaker would have to have a separate amp, would the Arc accept one amp per speaker or would both speakers need to be wired into one amp? 

I am completing a renovation and have a large open space living room Kitchen and Dining.I bought the ARC, Sub Gen 3, the Move (to be portable for the outdoor area), the amp and 2 in ceiling speakers. Because construction took a long time, the ERA 300s are now out, I was wondering whether it would be worth adding them to my set up given I have the in ceiling speakers. The ceiling height is 3M. The in-ceiling speakers haven’t been installed yet, so I could return the AMP and in-ceiling speakers and get two ERA 300s as an alternative too.  Everything will be installed next week so now I’m worried I’ve chose the wrong set up!Any help or ideas? Thanks!!! 

I have an old LG TV from 2013 55LM5850 which I have connected to a Beam with the optical attachment that came with the Beam. I also have a sub mini and Play 1’s as rears. No matter what I do I can only get PCM stereo on anything including movies that I know have Dolby 5.1. Am I SOL because of the age of my TV or is there something I can do. I read somewhere about an adaptor of some sort may help or a change in the TV via service menu which I have no idea how to get to. Any help here at all or do I just need a new TV. I want to keep the old one as it’s 3D and I have a bunch of 3D Blu rays that we still like to watch. 

Why is it that all of the iPhone 15 models EXCEPT the iPhone 15 Pro Max allow Trueplay? Given that they IPhone 15 Pro Max has a better microphone then the IPhone SE 2020, I want to redo Trueplay. But I cannot because Sonos decided not to allow it. When is the iPhone 15 Pro Max going to be supported? Support for the other  iPhone 15s came quick. This is disgusting service and I’m highly disappointed in Sonos.

Can I get some advice on swapping Playbases, my system has been stable for many years and I don’t want to break it now?Is it just a case of adding it into the app and deleteing the old one, and will I have to retune the remote?Thanks for any assistance.Michael 

I have a ARC, sub gen 3, and two Era 100’s for my surround setup. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommended settings and levels for the speakers. Also, my two Era 100’s are behind my couch and not high enough to be over the top. Is this a concern or no? Thanks.

Hi Sonos Community we have a great room setup - kitchen on one side that faces the TV in living room.i have new Arc soundbar and sub (gen 3) hooked up to the TV. all works well.  bought 2 ERA 100 speakers last week to place in kitchen to fill in the sound when watching TV or cooking in the kitchen.first setup i did was add the ERA 100s to the “Living Room/TV” with the Arc and Sub configuration under “System”. the app defaulted to “surround” speaker setup for the ERA 100s. it connected fine but being surround sound setup it only played music or sounds effects from the TV??….no voices or people talking.  not the setup i wanted.so i removed the ERA 100s from the “Living Room/TV” config and created a new config called “Kitchen”.  ERA speakers work fine and i can add them to the “Living Room/TV” config so they play the TV sound including voices or play music on them while TV on.my questions:~  when i turn on the TV the Arc and Sub play sound from the TV however the ERA 100s in kitchen do no

Hi, i recently bought my Sonos stuff and have serious issue with tv remote and Arc soundbar.I programmed my remote without any issues (immidietly) but while sound input “Tv” only volume down is working (no volume up and mute).on Spotify and sonos radio everything works well. can you support?

Hi  My Sonos ARC has recently started losing connection to my LG TV every time I turn off/on the tv. (LG 65NANO886) To reconnect i have to redo the complete setup process to obtain again sound from HDMI ARC. Have only turn on the CEC feature for the sound bar for the rest of device is disable. Already have the last software update, but still have the same issues. I have run a diagnostic which is 11742033711. Any help is appreciated.Thanks in advance.

I get the beam all hooked up my Sony TV and it works until I play music via the beam, then it gets stuck on music and wont switch to TV without unhooking everything and starting over

Guys,          I have always wanted a great sound system, I purchased the above item from a very nice older man, who was downsizing his abode and I listened and spoke with the person and his use and praise of the unit for a good 20 minutes, before purchase… He told me it had been purchased locally from a well known retailer and his email receipt was all packed away in boxes’, ready for his removal!           So I get it home and try and find a serial No:?… No where to be found, so I can’t register my product, also it’s missing and audio thingy?….Trying to set it up with WIFI 6 home network isn’t working, as it can find my SSID but wont register and I have no idea what the manufacturers password might be?...I’m in trouble !!…           It connects to my LG Smart TV via eARC and the Sonos cable provided but keeps swapping from “Internal Speakers to Sonos is now available?.. Greetings world.  I have an arc.  And just added 2 era 100s and wanted to work them as surround.  They work great by themselves. But when hooked up as surround speakers they sound OK then start this in and out sound (kind of like a speaker stutter). I reset them up as surround 2x. Nothing changed.  Happens with both speakers.  Any ideas?

I have a setup with Arc connected to Samsung TV (2022 model Q80B)  through HDMI eArc plus a Sub. Dolby Atmos is enabled on the TV. When playing Atmos content from Amazon Prime, Sonos app says it is Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1. Shouldn’t I be seeing Dolby Atmos?

Hi - experiencing audio switching between my ARC connected LG TV and my Beam. Beam cuts out, and TV speakers cut in for a few seconds every now and then. this has persisted across updates, changed cables, power cycling etc. I have a diagnostics dump 1001779540 which I took seconds after it happened last.
