I have connected my SONOS Playbar to my iMac via the former’s optical connection. I bluetooth (and have the option of hardwiring) the iMac output sound to a receiver that converts it into a digital optical signal that then inputs into the Playbar. I have the SONOS App both on my iPhone and my Desktop. The Playbar is configured and set up on both platforms. When selected to ‘TV’ the iMac sound output works on my Playbar, however after a while the SONOS App defaults to ‘Music’ and prevents the iMac sound output reaching the Playbar. Why does this happen and how can I stop it?

Does Sonos provide warranty in India for products which are sold in the Indian market ? Also does Sonos provide services which are out of warranty in India ? 

Dears, I noticed severe quality degradation since system was updated to 16.1.1. Sound is breaking every 30-60 sec. Any solution here? My set: Beam 2 + MiniSub+ 2xOne

Hi all, So I have 2 front and 2 rear in wall architectural rectangular speakers and 4 in wall architectural ceiling speakers. This is for a TV setup. Originally I wanted a 5.1.4 setup but wanted to stay with Sonos for ease.I know I can set up the front and rears with 2 Amps and surround, making a phantom center. Is there any solution to add in the ceilings with another amp or two into this setup? Do I need to just get a receiver, and if I do will the phantom center be less effective? I'd prefer not to add an Arc because of the crowded look between the TV and mantle… but would consider it if it was the only solution.

Bonjour la communauté, j’ai un système sonos s1 qui fonctionne bien et qui n’est pas compatible avec S2.j’ai acheté une Ray que j’ai branché sur ma TV avec un câble optique qui a fonctionné immédiatement.j’ai eu le malheur de vouloir la synchroniser avec le reste de mon système S1 ; je me suis rendu compte après coup que la ray n’était pas compatible ( uniquement S2)j’ai réinitialisé la ray en espérant tout effacer et la rebrancher sur ma TV et m’en servir que pour le son .depuis elle clignote en vert mais ne fonctionne plus ;pouvez vous m’aider SVP ?j’espère ne pas avoir tout planté    

I have two questions: I recently purchased a samsung the frame tv and have a Sonos beam sound bar. The sound bar is connected to the One Connect box and produces volume, but there is no way to control the volume using the Samsung remote. Can I change this?   I have two Sonos One speakers that are connected to my living room. I tried adding the beam to the same Sonos group, but I get an error that my app is not the right one. I’ve uninstalled the Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 apps about twenty times, and I cannot get the app to recognize the sonos beam at all?

I am a long term customer of Sonos. Currently I own more than 20 devices. In my home theater I have an Arc, two 300's, and two Subs, one of them is a Gen 1 and the other Sub is Gen 3. My Gen 1 Sub shows as "Not connected", and for a couple of years now… I tried resetting many times, changing positions, etc. I don't know what else to do. Any recommendations? 

I would like to disable my Beam and only enable the 2 Five and my sub while playing music.an option should be added.a similar option is already available for the sub and the surrounds.

A few months ago we added a Sonos Arc to our LG G3 TV.  It worked great except that volume control only worked on the TV remote, but not the cable remote.  Then one day the volume control suddenly stopped working on BOTH remotes. So I can hear the volume but I cannot adjust it except by getting up and doing it by hand.  I’ve tried the LG Magic Remote specific instructions listed elsewhere, but they make no difference (when they even match what’s on my tv).   I’ve tried resetting the remote, making sure CEC is enabled, and changed just about every setting on my TV, but none of it makes a difference. Getting increasingly annoyed.

Hello, I have a client who is already in the Sonos system. He has a pool house with a TV and wants to add a soundbar. He would also like to play the TV to 2 speakers mounted on the pool house and possibly to the speakers around the pool. Not all the time but likes the option. I was going to suggest a Sonos soundbar for the TV. Then a Sonos amp for the 2 speakers on the pool house and a Sonos port to connect to the amp for the speakers/sub around the pool. Will this work? Can the TV audio going to the soundbar connect to the Sonos Amp and the Sonos Port through to the mesh network? Can you group and ungroup the speakers through the app?I would probably leave the pool house speakers and the pool speakers permanently grouped or bonded and add or subtract the TV soundbar when needed if possible. Let me know if this is possible and if I’m going in the right direction.Thanks

I just bought a Sonos Ray to compliment a newly purchased Denon AVR-S970H, five in ceiling speakers and a sub woofer.  I cannot figure out how to incorporate the newly bought Ray into my existing surround sound set-up.  I tried connecting the optical cord to the AVR, but both optical ports on the AVR are input, not output.I am not an audiophile, so I need some help.  Both Sonos and Denon CSR’s were not helpful.Can I connect the Ray to the AVR via HEOS or Wi-Fi?Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thank you!

This may not be directly related to the Sonos product but I am hoping one of the Sonos community has had the same issue and been able to resolve it.I have Oticon Minirite 1 hearing aids that use a streaming device to connect to the optical output on a TV to stream the audio from the TV to the hearing aids via bluetooth.I have an LG G3 TV and a Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar.If I connect the Beam Gen 2 via the eArc connection the TV locks out all other audio outputs (bluetooth and Optical). The result is I can’t have my hearing aid streamer and the soundbar connected at the same time.I have contacted LG and everything they recommended I try didn’t work. In the end they advised that this is how eArc works as it is the best audio output so all other outputs are disabled.I have an older LG that has Arc and if it is connected to a soundbar all other outputs still operate.Has anyone had the same experience and found a resolution?ThanksReg

Hi everyone, so I still have an issue with my LG C2 in combination with my Sonos arc. The arc occasionally stops playing sound. Before it only happened after switching from HDMI source (with Dolby enabled ps5 or Xbox) back to an internal app like YouTube. Problem is solved by changing the sound source on the tv (hdmi to tv speaker to hdmi). But now I’m surprised that even when I watch a tv show on the internal app of the tv itself, it still happens occasionally. When I’m watching a tv show in stereo or 5.1, when the next episode is loaded after the one I was watching was finished , there is no sound. The same trick as before solves the issue. The HDMI inputs have never been turned on in this case. All my setting are correct. I use passthrough and eArc. I have read every topic here and Reddit but couldn’t find a solution. Sonos sends me to LG and LG tells me silly thing like turning of auto power sync etc. Doesn’t solve the issue. Anyone else having this pro

Hi, I just changed my Sonos Beam from a Samsung TV ( sorry forget the model ) where the Beam worked seamlessly in that I could use Alexa to adjust volume on the TV etc. I moved the Beam to another property on a TCL 55P638K that has eARC. When I connect in the HDMI cable to the eARC port on the TV and then into the Beam and try to do the setup in the app it is telling me it doesn’t see a connection to an eARC port. I did a full reset of the Beam a couple of times and have also tried a Firestick in the eARC port and it is at least showing the pic and TV sound. The cable is the same cable I was using at the other property so I suspect it is not a cable issue although I do need to validate that. That said I’m fairly certain that is not the issue as I literally moved from one location to the other. Any suggestions welcome before I purchase the optical cable to HDMI adaptor and try that method ?Thanks,Dave. 

I have read pretty much all the remedies on the forum on how to link the lg magic remote to the playbar via the optical output, but nothing works. I have been in touch with the SONOS help line and they have been through the procedure with me, but in the end admitted defeat and said I should speak to LG. I have tried resetting the remote for Philips, Bose and several other manufacturers. I have got to the point where I think I should get a new remote - or a new sound bar- but wondered if there were any suggestions as to what remote to buy. At the moment I have to control the sound through the Sonos app.

My Samsung Frame TV is suddenly no longer able to play audio through my Sonos AMP connected via HDMI ARC. It was working fine yesterday and had worked largely without issue for ~2 years.I have a Samsung Frame TV (2022) with the following details:Model Code: QN65LS03BDFXZA Software Version: T-PTMAKUC-1622.4, BT - SI have a Sonos AMP with this info:Sonos OS: S2 Version: 16.1.1 (build 78152020) Hardware Version: 1.24.1.17-1.2I have the Sonos AMP connected to the Samsung TV’s HDMI ARC port (HDMI 3) and have been able to play audio from the TV and a connected Apple TV device without issue for almost 2 years. It was working fine yesterday. Today the TV is no longer recognizing the Sonos AMP as an audio output option and I am limited to the built-in TV Speakers.From the Sonos App on my phone, if I go to the AMP and click on TV Setup, then click Continue, then click Connected to ARC,

How do I make a feature request? I love how great my surround setup sounds with Dolby Atmos, but it’s really disappointing not to have DTS decoding for discs with Master Audio, DTS:X, and DTS:HD.  I assume this is just a licensing cost decision but for the premium we pay for Sonos, I’d expect it to be supported (and did when I purchased).  Thanks

I have had my Sonos Arc for a few years now and it has been perfect.  Today when I turned on my Tv I wasn’t getting any audio at all.  I unplugged both the Arc connection and the power for a few minutes and tried again, still nothing.  To make sure it wasn’t the speaker I tried playing music through the Sonos app.  Works great, but still not working with the TV as the source. It’s an LGCX tv.

Hi all,I’ve just connected 2 x Era 100s to my Beam (Gen 1). (In the TV room)They work perfectly for music. When I watch a tv program, the Eras intermittently drop out. Not both at the same time though, so you get this annoying left ear, right ear thing that happens when watching a show. I experienced the same problem when I tried using my Move or Roam with the Beam. They both drop out while watching tv.I ended up putting a One in place of the Move and that solved the problem.I’ve been using a Five and a One with my Beam - and I haven’t heard a ‘drop out’ while watching TV. So I figured the power cord just made the difference. I decided that the portable speakers just don’t connect that well to the Beam for tv audio. (Never had a problem when listening to music though). So, with my new Era 100s - I didn’t think I’d have the ‘drop out’ problem as they are wired to a power source. Does anyone have advice on why the Eras would be

My tv is older but has hdmi1 arc connection.  I’m only getting stereo pcm from any source I watch. Hulu firetv apple.  Just tried optical hdmi connector.  Still same.  I was sure it was a tv setting issue but idk.  Help!!

Hello,  I purchased Sonos speakers four months ago, and I've had this problem ever since. My Sonos Arc, Sub, and Era 300 surround speakers are connected to my wifi network, and I have a Samsung Q7 Series 4K UHD QLED LCD TV. My TV speakers are connected to receivers when I'm watching something, not to the Sonos speakers I made.I've made several attempts to connect to Living Speakers, but each time it disconnects immediately. In the interim, my HDMI is connected to my Apple TV.

I recently dove in with a Sonos Arc + Sub (Gen 3). Since getting setup, I’ve had nothing but problems and while it sounds incredible and the functionality is excellent, it’s been a bit discouraging.  The latest issue - and biggest source of frustration - is that the system consistently mutes itself on and off at random times. I know it’s muting because the sound drops out entirely, the green lights on the Arc + Sub come on, and then after anywhere from 10 seconds a full minute the audio comes back. I run all of my video content through an NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro, and this is where it happens. It hasn’t seemed to do this when streaming directly via apps on the TV, but ultimately I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the Arc, the eARC in my LG B9 OLED, or simply the HDMI cable. I’ve disabled CEC on the SHIELD TV in hopes this would solve it, but it’s still happening. Is the next step to replace the HDMI cable from the SHIELD TV to the TV? Any other thoughts?

I have bought 2 sonos era 300 to sync with my sonos arc to be used as surround. I plan to put them on wall like in the photo. In the instruction it says there should be 20 cm from each side. On the right era 300, there is only 16 cm space from the wall picture. Will it effect the sound?
