Home Theater

Thank you all for your input in the community. I have an older Sonos soundbar with an optal icconnection cable, but my new TV lacks the port to support it—is there any way I can still use the soundbar?

I’m considering getting a Sonos Arc Ultra for my living room, mainly for PS5 gaming and movies. I’m interested in how well it handles Dolby Atmos, especially with games that support 3D audio. For those using an Arc Ultra with a PS5, how is the dialogue clarity and surround positioning? Do you normally use Dolby Atmos, LPCM, or another audio format?I’d also like to know whether the sound remains balanced at lower volumes. Any advice about TV eARC and passthrough settings would be appreciated.

I have 2 samsung TVs in the same room.  I want the option of mirroring video content.  One TV has an Arc Ultra (with 300 surround x2 and sub 4) . When mirroring, I want sound to come from the Arc Ultra/home theatre set up.  How do I accomplish this?  I am a novice and would appreciate guidance.

In my front room, I run the TV audio through a Fire Cube. I have two Sonos Amps connected by HDMI-eArc.  One of the Amps powers a pair of front L/R main speakers and the second Sonos Amp is connected to a pair of in-ceiling rear speakers.I have used this setup with no issues for over a year now until recently I started having issues with the Fire Cube losing internet connection sporadially.  To test whether or not it was the Fire Cube or if it was something else, I swapped out a different Fire Cube from my Master Bedroom (MBR).I took the Fire Cube from my MBR and connected it to my front room TV.  Everything works fine, the sound comes on through my Sonos Amps EXCEPT now I am not able to control the volume of the Sonos Amps using the little Fire Cube remote.  The volume is adjustable through the Sonos ap, but that is not ideal. Is there some setting on the Fire Cube that I need to adjust so that I can adjust the Sonos Amps volume using the Fire Cube’s remote?

So I guess that the new Beam Ultra will not have voice control using Google or Alexa?  I have to ask this, why does Sonos seem to struggle with what seems to be such small things that other companies have no issues with?  Maybe it is time for a more competent company to buy Sonos.

i have old gen 2 connect:amp with in wall sonos sonance. want to see if I can set up surround with gen 1 sub and play 3 pair.

Just wondering how the Era100 pairs with the Ray

I’m thinking about upgrading my old Play:1 speakers that I’m using for surround sound on our entertainment center.  I’m considering ERA 100 and ERA 300.  Be interested in anyone’s experience with such an upgrade to either product.

Just bought a beam 2, I’m curious as to what others have found works best in terms of the height channel settings for Dolby Atmos? I know it will be subjective based on individual space (ceiling height etc) but keen to hear what others more experienced than me have found is a good place to start, also does the height setting matter if playing non dolby atmos content? I can't say I’ve heard a difference?

Hello!  I am trying to understand why the middle speaker isn’t “working” when used as rear with Arc Ultra.  I almost feel like I don’t hear my rear. I understand that the “Atmos” is working because the side speakers work. But is it ment that the middle speaker shouldn’t work as rear speakers?

Hi! I’m thinking about buying the Magnetar-Audio UDP800 4K UHD Blu-ray player so I will be able to play 4K movies and SACD for music. Will this setup work with my Sonos speakers if I connect the Blu-ray player with HDMI to my TV and then a HDMI from the TV to my Sonos Soundbar? Will it be able to play Dolby Atmos and SACD-sound from the blue-ray player through my TV and then to my Sonos speakers? Do I loose any quality in either sound or video? Do I need for example a receiver as well for this to work?Speakers: Sonos Arc soundbar, two Sonos One speakers for surround and a Sonos Sub Gen 3TV: LG OLED65CX6LABluray player: Magnetar-Audio UDP800 4K UHD

Hi all, I currently own the Sonos Arc Ultra and I am looking to add rears and sub to my living room set up.I mainly watch Anime, Netflix original series and amazon prime movies. I will play music occasionally. For the rears, I am torn between the Era 100s and 300s as my room layout is asymmetrical (one side is closer to the wall and the other leads to the hallway and rest of the house). My sofa is against the wall as well because my living room is small. For the sub, I am torn between the Sub 4 and the Sub mini.Assuming budget is not a concern, which set-up would give me the best audio experience (clear sounds and dialogue etc)? Appreciate your thoughts and input! Planned position and floor plan belowRears - redSub - blueArc Ultra - black(TV and Sofa position cannot be swapped, my ceiling has cove lightings and a fan too)

Good morning, everyone.I’m hoping to get some insight from the group regarding Atmos soundbars. Specifically, how much the driver firing angles actually impact real‑world Atmos performance in a built‑in entertainment center. Quick backstory:  My wife wanted a renovation that involved removing a window and building a full wall entertainment center. I wasn’t exactly thrilled, but we compromised.  She got me to build her entertainment center, and I get to upgrade my classic entertainment setup. current Sonos setup: Playbar, One SLs, and a Gen 1 Sub.With the new entertainment center came the “need” for a new TV, so we installed a 75” Sony Bravia 9 to replace the old 950G. The cabinet opening for the TV and Playbar provides 16" of vertical clearance from the bottom (above the fireplace) to the bottom of the TV. The full cavity measures 84" wide, 56.5" tall, and 13.5" deep. Now I’m considering upgrading to the Sonos Immersive set ( Arc Ultra, Era 300’s, and Sub 4) , but here’s my concern: Wil

Hey, Pic is Ai but I have this unit which im thinking of resting arc ultra. Tv will be on wall. My partner does child care so im trying to figure out protection for the arc during day time. I was thinking if building a wooden case to go over it during day time and when it not in use. Anyone got any better ideas. You may ask why not put on the wall with tv. That leads me to second question.Im looking for tv to go on a fireplace or pull down tv mount thereby I can pull tv out a bit and lower the height. There are not that many mounts out there with lots only got a few reviews and untested. Anyone know a reasonable price secure/sturdy tv drop down mount. Please note im in UK so mountle mount does not ship to uk unfortunately. Just to add most of the mounts don't do brackets for soundbar too. So if I put soundbar on wall, when I pull down tv it will cover the bar which is a problem. Thanks all

I am pretty cdrtain this has been asked before but I cannot find any reference to it so here goes:-My HDMI cable connecting my LG TV to my Sonos Beam has developed a fault (picture below), what is the best high speed HDMI cable that is compatible with my system please?

I need 2 different set up to:1.    Listen , stream musicfor immersive and soundstage sound with the 2 era 100 and sub mini2.    Watching ,movies – with arc, 2 era 100 as surround and sub miniPlease advise how to proceed in the app to get best possible sound

will it make a diffrence adding a mini sub to my Home Theater set up as I already have arc ultra second gen and 2 Era 100 ?Room Size: 140 Square feetUse for: Movies and Music streaming

We have recently purchased a beam and 2 era speakers. we want the flexibility to play music independently from the 2x era speakers from our phone but we also want to have the beam and era speakers grouped to our TV. Is this possible to have 2 independent Sonos room/systems? thanks

When playing my television, which has a Sonos arc ultrasound bar, and subwoofer, the speakers driven by the amp are cutting in and out constantly. How do I fix that?

Hi Looking to upgrade my TV and also my Sonos Arc to Ultra version, have the issues been ironed out with firmware updates to the TV and Arc Ultra Apreciate your replies

Hello everyone,I have a Sonos Beam (1st generation) and a Sonos Sub, grouped under the name “Living Room” and connected to my network via an RJ45 cable. I’ve been using this system with an Apple TV for years to watch TV. I also bought this system to listen to music at home, particularly via Apple Music, but AirPlay has never worked. I have to use the Music app on the Apple TV, which means turning on the TV, or use the Sonos app on my iPhone or iPad.I’d really like to find a solution so I can finally listen to music easily via AirPlay. Thanks!

My Sonos Beam is connected into the HDMI ARC port of my Samsung Frame TV.The remote has been working just fine for the first few months a I’ve had the TV. I am using the standard Samsung Smart Control remote that comes with the TV.As of about a week ago (4/14/2026) the volume on the TV has stopped working when I click the  “volume up/down button on the remote. The remote otherwise works fine, but the volume/mute features are not working anymore. Someone please help.

The short story is that I have the Arc and Sub 2.0. Everything connects, but I can only get sound out of the arc.  I've tried resetting the router, the sub, the arc.Tried putting older software into the sub, and then updating again.I've reset both sono speakers a half a dozen timesI've tried having the subwired to the router, and i've tried having the arc wire to the router, setting it up after both of them are reset.I cannot get a test sound out of the sub before I link it to the arc system.I'm using an Eero router, without issues to any other non-sonos devices. It connects and the functionality all looks correct, i can add it to the room. All the lights work properly. I've tried disabling the wifi on both units when they were hardwired, i've tried having it all set up wirelessly and disabling the sub and reenabling it. I've tried setting the sub and arc up from scratch in 2.4g & again in 5g router configurations.  I tried to contact Sonos support and failed. But have put in ticke
