Sonos Beam and Frame TV-remote volume

My Sonos Beam is connected into the HDMI ARC port of my Samsung Frame TV.

The remote has been working just fine for the first few months a I’ve had the TV. I am using the standard Samsung Smart Control remote that comes with the TV.

As of about a week ago (4/14/2026) the volume on the TV has stopped working when I click the  “volume up/down button on the remote.

The remote otherwise works fine, but the volume/mute features are not working anymore.

Someone please help.

I actually got it to work (for now) by doing a reset of the tv.. click and hold power button until it turns off-off, then turned it back on and everything was working fine.

Since the remote is controlling the TV, and the TV is controlling the Beam via CEC, I’d try two things. The first would be to check the TV for updates, and apply them. Then I’d reset the TV by unplugging it from the wall for two minutes.

If this doesn’t fix the issue with your remote, I’d check with Samsung, not Sonos.

Try resetting the remote control.

Before resetting the remote, try using it without t(e Beam connected to the TV. Does it work then?

I’d call that a reboot.
