I got my Sonos Ace las friday and been using them for the weekend. The right auricular keeps crackling, like if it looses fidelity and the noise cancellation. So disapointed from a product I’ve been waiting for so long. I’ve just printed the return label and will be taking them to UPS returning office.
Love my Sonos Ace. However, I’m having an issue where when I press the physical button on the Sonos Ace for TV swap, the audio plays faintly out of the left ear and is full out of the right ear. But when I initiate TV Swap via the app, the audio is balanced and at full level. I’m wondering if this is something that will be fixed with a firmware update or if I have a hardware issue. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
Anyone having issues keeping the ACE headphones connected to a LG TV? I have the C4. It originally paired fine with the TV. It worked great for one night. After that, it will connect make the connect sound and then immediately make the “Dropped connection” sound. The TV sometimes thinks the ACE is connected. Sometimes it gets stuck in “connecting” until it times out. The TV and headphones are both at their latest firmwares. With a quick google, it seems like LG TVs have a history of bluetooth issues?
Has anyone solved streaming from the connect to their Arc and swapping to their Ace headphones. I was surprised to find that my connect audio doesn’t play directly to Ace and this whole thing with having to swap via Arc is odd. Every time I try to swap from my Arc to my Ace with my connect content, everything fails. I have my record player connected to my arc as a Line-In and streams to my Arc just fine. Similarly, I’ve found that swapping my arc audio to my Ace headset when streaming from my Apple TV or PlayStation works fine. Something doesn’t work when the connect is the source for your Arc and you try to swap.
Trying to connect Bluetooth earbuds to Sonos but it doesn’t find it. I have an Arc and Beam. Yes, I know Arc or Beam don’t have Bluetooth. The Sonos App suggests ant Bluetooth headset can be connected to Sonos via the App - not just the Sonos Ace. Listen to Sonos radio on my Arc all the time. Very long time Sonos customer and lately Sonos support service are disappointing - agents with language problems and sadly the good knowledge that was the highlight of Sonos in the past.
I just got the Sonos Ace and my main reason for buying it was to hear lossless audio. I have Iphone 13 pro max, and I use Apple music. I know that i cannot hear lossless wirelessly, but I can hear through the usb-c to aux cord. I got the dongle ugreen aux to lighting, put the aux cable, and connected to the ace. Now aside from how annoying it is not being able to change settings with the cable connected (i have to disconnect the cable to access the settings), now the sound is very muffled. Like when i use the ace wirelessly, it’s actually louder and more upbeat. If used with the cable, the sound gets low and muffled. Is there anything i am doing wrong here? I don’t want to use the ace wirelessly because my main aim of buying it was to hear the lossless and that’s only possible with the cable. I also cannot use the usb-c to usb-c because my iPhone has lightning port, so i need the dongle. So i would appreciate any advice here before i decide to return it.
Dear Mr Spence: Call me please. It is always the same with SONOS: a bunch of Mr Bojangles bs europop ear pollution during your eternal wait for help. Did shebot say 8 minutes or 80 minutes? It has already been 17:51 and counting. Do you want 'some tips?' No. I want to pay out the nose for one of your admittedly well-engineered products and get a sentient being to talk to me. I realize it is too much to ask from your point of view! 'Do you want tips from the community?' No, because the community is lined up on the Bay Bridge to leap for an end to this torture. 'Do you want tips on how to stop skipping?' Maybe, but the eternal recorded message skips so much that I can't make out how to receive it. Help me. I already begged the CEO to buy back the speakers that spark heartburn every time I try to use them. (Normally I just use YouTube to listen and experience solace at not having to endure SONOS customer support: click and you're done onYouTube.Ok, now it is 25...26:08 and I
I can’t imagine introducing headphones and not integrating them into the ecosystem. What people love about Sonos and the reason they continue to buy is the ecosystem. Non starter for me as a standalone Bluetooth headphone.
The following is NOT a Sonos advertised feature for the Sonos Ace Headset. However, as we know Sonos is a versatile product capable of many out-side-the-box uses and this is one of them. If you don’t mind being tethered to your favorite seat used for watching movies...then continue reading 😊Listen to Apple Music via your Ace headphones using the “Swap” feature. The requirements are:Sonos Arc (properly connected to TV) AppleTV Box (connected to your TV via HDMI) Apple Music Subscription Sonos Ace Headset with latest update Sonos App installed on your iOS device with latest update ^ Hint: The AppleTV remote can be used to control all functions to select what you want to hear, volume, play, pause, go forward, go back and stop as well as others you can discover. This function requires that you be in range of the Arc. It’s basically a line-of-sight experience using the 5Ghz transmission between the Arc and the Ace headset. You’ll not be able to roam through your home without intermittent
Hi, I recently received my ace headphones. And I have to say they are pretty nice. But I do have an issue with them, when connected via aux cable to my Khadas Tea DAC it doesn’t sound at all, except for a small static sound in one of the earcups. I’ve seen around the community that some people are having issues connecting the headphones directly to a source, but in my case it’s the only place where I have an issue. Since in any headphone jack that it’s not my DAC they sound perfectly fine. Has anyone experienced something like this? Is there a solution?
HelloSome have reported charging issues with PD certified chargers for the Sonos Ace Headphones. Please be advised that the Ace headset is not malfunctioning. There is a compatibility issue with certain PD certified chargers. Sonos Tech Support informed me that they are aware of the incompatibility and are looking at possible remedies. IMO that means that not all PD certified chargers will be included in a fix. However, per Sonos Tech Support; any charger purchased should be at least 15 Watts and there is no ceiling on the maximum wattage.I’ve already been through a (hit n’ miss) PD certified charger selection process. HelloLots of chatter (if you can call it that) about the Sonos App. I need not go into detail as to what the general consensus is about it. However that’s not what this post is about. Moving on….Let’s talk Sonos Ace Headphones. Many are disappointed because they cannot be used as a room in the Sonos ecosystem and therefore view them mainly as expensive me-to Bluetooth cans.Below are links to three (3) first impression videos. Take a look. You may find reasons to try them on a trial basis (or not). When will the ACE headset be compatible with the Android system for connection with the ARC bar and therefore listen to movies on the headset?
I listened to the behind-the-scenes Sonos presentation on the Ace headphones today. As I understand it, TV Audio Swap only works with HDMI as the connection/source. From a technical standpoint, does anyone know know why Swap is that limiting? For example, my Victrola Carbon Stream plays vinyl through the Arc. I can connect the Victrola to the Arc via WiFi with the Arc basically acting as its own router. What is it that prevents the Ace from being capable of playing that audio?
Hi All,Not sure if this has been covered or is a known issue, but I’m trying to listen to music through my Ace headphones via the Sonos app, rather than Apple Music directly. I have the headphones on and connected, and also have an Era 300 connected - when I try and play music via the app it will only play through the Era and does not pick up my Ace’s at all, to be a me to select this as the output method. I would have expected to have the option to choose between both devices as I wish. As it stands I am unable to listen to the Ace’s via the Sonos app. Am I missing something or is this not possible? Many Thanks,Dan
I cannot get my Sonos Ace aux input to work (via an USB-C to 3.5mm cable). Using Bluetooth Works Using USB-C to USB-C cable worksI’ve tried 2 different usb-c to 3.5mm cables, and both fail to playback audio. Anybody have any suggestions on how to debug this?
Hear is a suggestion for the powers that be surrounding the ace headphones integrating into the ecosystem. Why not use a base station for the headphones. The base station connects to the Sonos system with WiFi. The headphones connect to the base station by Bluetooth. The base station is plugged into power and acts as a headphone stand that charges the headphones when hanging on it. Problem solved. Maybe sell this base station as an accessory. What do you think?
Anyone have an issue with SONOS HEADPHONES, voice is leaking so loudly outside that other person can hear loudly what we hearing in headphone. In BOSE it never happens
I’m disappointed to discover that Wear Detection and the control buttons (eg stop, volume) don’t work on Ace headphones when using TV Audio Swap. So if I’m watching TV, I have to rely on the remote to do everything. I hope this is a bug and not a feature. Can someone please advise?
I just bought the headphones and when I swap with the Arc it plays perfectly for 5-10 seconds then my tv goes black almost like the tv turned off but it is still powered on. I use an Apple TV and was wondering if anyone else is having an issue?
Has anyone experienced when playing music through app on the sky q tv has a cracking noise? Is only on the music app
The update killed my system. Everything I loved and recommended to my friends is gone. Years and years ago (2001 I was introduced to Sonos through our supplier of Pioneer) I spent nights burning all my CD’s and imagine digitally copying my old tapes… yes some of us not all will remember that process. I love my S1 system at home, I have an S2 system also but haven’t used it since the update, I like not paying for my music I like, my thoughts are with the update if Sonos want this system to be a pay to play system. Why don’t they cover the cost, Sonos would have know in advance what worked and what didn’t, in my business I’m responsible for my actions. The buck stops with me. Who in Sonos is willing to answer me. I’ve been a dedicated Sonos supporter for 20 plus years. I Have sold Sonos systems and helped others in the set up because I believe in this product. You’re pushing Ace and I’d say it’s fantastic but… why would I buy it knowing my S2 system is a quarter of what its fictionality
Audio switch from Arc to AceHey,Anyone who got their Ace having trouble with audio switch feature? When I’m trying to make a switch it says something that ”could not finish the switch, make sure your products are powered on and try again later” with link to Sonos support. I have Arc + sub + symfonisks if that even matters. I have tried rebooting Ace and tried to use content button instead of app, didnt work.
The new Sonos Ace headphones won’t work with Windows 11. Device manager reports a new Unknown Device when pairing with Bluetooth or USB-C. Uninstalling, reinstalling, re-pairing, all result in the same Unknown Device. Completely unusable on Windows.
I accidentally charged my Sonos Ace with a USB instead of a USB - C. Might I have damaged my Sonos Ace?
