Hi all,I worked with assistant for about 2 yrs. now in the living room on Playbar-Sub-One (Rear) setup. We upgraded now the play:1 to Sonos One and SL in the kitchen one week ago, to get convience with assistant too. The distance between both speakers is about 5 meters, with a wall in between.Since the adding of the One in the kitchen, we encounter strange messages from Google like:no setup for room extremly slow performance in executing commands (about 10-15 secs) “your command is not supported yet”Does anyone has experience with this issue? It’s really annoying. It took me a long time to convince my wife, but now I’m angry on myself - waiting 15sec to get the light on or stop music.PS: Sonos App is working well, like before.kr, Thomas

This function was requested over 2years ago. Is Sonos coming up with an update?
I’ve had my Sonos speakers for years and been able to to control them via my Google Home assistants, but since some time ago whenever I say “Play Music on Five (name)” I get the response “It seems you haven’t configured the account with the media distributor yet”.Its not Spotify its referring to but Sonos (If I just say “Play music” it plays music from Spotify on my iPhone”. I’ve removed/added the Sonos account in Google Assistant/Home multiple times, I can see the speakers in my devices list but I can not get inte to play.I’ve tried resinstalling all apps (Google/Sonos) and I’ve tried to different devices. It does not matter which speaker I ask Google to play on, I get the same message regardless.Any suggestions?
I think subject say it all. I can't add voice assistant to Sonos Move that I have recently purchased and added to my Sonos System. I keep getting a "Google Assistant is not available in your country"Now the strange thing is that I already had a Sonos Beam for a while now and I managed to add Google Assistant to it by setting my Sonos Account Country to “US”.The Sonos Beam Voice Google Assistant is working just fine, however, when I try to add it to the Beam I keep getting the error "Google Assistant is not available in your country". What else should I do? I’ve tried loggin in and out of the app, I cleared data/cache, I tried setting Sonos account country to UK, then back again to US, but nothing seems to work. Am I missing something? As I understood it one didn’t need to make any changes to the Google Account right?
I now have BBC Sounds as a service and have removed Tunein. Yet when i ask google assistant to play bbc stations it defaults to tunein/sonos radio which gets it from tunein then tells me its unavailable any way to resolve this
So, I was able to successfully get my new Sonos One to show up in Google Home. However, it wont show up in the Spotify groups -- Ive tried disconnecting and re-linking everything. any ideas? Only 3 of the 4 show up.I do use TP-Link everywhere. Thank you!
Hi all,It seems like our Sonos Roam is only remembering one voice match profile - The latest one added. We can add an extra voice match profile using Google Assistant on our IPhone or android tablet, and it works temporarily - The Sonos Roam recognises and can identity both voices. However, after a while, it seems to forget one of the users and only retains the latest voice match profile added via Google assistant. This is an issue, as only one user can utilise the personal results features of Google assistant - For example, adding items to a shared grocery list on Anylist or Google Shopping Lists.I think it might be forgetting the second voice profile when the Sonos Roam is powered off using a 5 second press. Anyone else have this issue? ThanksJW
hello.I cannot add google assistant on my sonos app.See below what I have tried:i can see all my 4 sonos linked to my Google home app in their respective rooms I have unliked them and then linked them back again I have rebooted all 4 sonos speakers both my google assistant / home and sonos app are up to date they are on the same wifi network I am logged in one google account Spotify is my default music service on both google home and it is linked in the sonos app with my unique login details I still cannot add google assistant to my sonos app.Can you please help. Thanks
Whenever I ask Google Assistant on Sonos Roam to play a specific music, it will play just the specific song then stops. However, the Google Assistant on any other device I own works differently, it will play the song first, and then related songs. It's quite infuriating because I have added this device to the kitchen and it's supposed to help my wife on listening to music in a hands-off manner, and it's driving both of us nuts. What is the point of having an assistant if you can only achieve the behaviour you want by using the app? (which is quite bad btw)I see that are some people that have similar complaints as old as 5 years ago. Is there no solution to this?
I have a Sonos Arc, which is connected to my LG TV (lg65nano956na) using eARC. I have Google Assistant setup on the ARC, and everything is working fine. I am able to ask Google Assistant to Turn ON or OFF the TV, using voice commands - where Google Assistant then uses the Sonos TV Control Integration to execute the command, as my TV itself does not appear as a smart device in the Google Home app.I am however facing one isse, that if the TV is already “OFF” and Google Assistant is asked to turn it “OFF”, then it turns ON. This in itself is not an issue (as it does not make sense to do).The problem arrives when I use the “Turn OFF everything” command, to turn OFF all my smart devices. In this case, all my smart devices turn OFF, including my TV.. unless the TV is already “OFF”, in which case Sonos TV Control turns it back on.Any idea why this happens and if there is a way to solve it?
I am not sure if this is a bug, part of the lawsuit or what.I have a Nest Audio.I have Sonos Connect Amp powering two outdoor speakers.Sonos is linked to my Google Home. From the Nest Audio, I can tell it to change songs. That is it.It seems it no longer adjusts the volume. It also will no longer play a different artist. For example, if I am listening to Van Halen, if I say "Ok Google, Play Pantera on Pool Radio", it says it can't do that on this device. If I say "OK Google, Next song", that works.Trying to change volume as I said, does not work anymore either. On my phone, if I say "OK Google, play Van Halen on Pool Radio", it will work.Is there something with the Nest Devices that is now broke or a bug?I removed the sonos, readded it, reauthorized YouTube Music. nothing. I tried a second Nest Audio, same thing. It will not do "Ok Google, Play "artist" on Pool Radio".Seems it is just related to the Nest Audio.

Hello,I have 2 daughters which both hold a Sonos One in their room. They both want to use the Google Assistant to play their playlist on Spotify.Unfortunately, Google Assistant is using always the same account on both loudspeakers. Is there a way how I can pick and choose the Default Spotify Account?
I used to manage my chromecast using my voice via Google Assistant, for instance “ok google, put Chromecast on pause” ou “switch Chromcast off”. But now, the answer si “unfortunately living room is not compatible”. In french : “malheureusement salon n’est pas compatible”.Is that a change on sonos products ? I have a Sonos BEAM (not the latest generation). Thanks
When you ask for something that is streamed right back from assistant api and not from an app like Spotify you don't have control on Sonos va app but only the option to ask Google assistant to stop. Substantially when the playback of something like "hei google tell me the news" you'll notice the status of the player from the app or the exposed API as "nothing in play".Missing the option to stop it via any other external API but pressing the physical buttons or asking for "ok Google stop".For speech impaired and movement impaired people this is frustrating. Could you please add a status like "assistant engaged" and a stop button on API and APP?As the playing status is already there this shouldn't be too hard to implement.Thank you.
Hey guysI’ve recently bought a Nest Doorbell (battery) but for some reason, I don’t get the Doorbell to send me a notification on any of my Sonos devices. Things I already tried:Re-linking the Google Assistant with Sonos (service) Re-linking Sonos speaker with Google Assistant (those are two different things in the apps) Factory reset my Sonos Beam (2)The Doorbell does give me a notification on my Google Home Mini in the bedroom but that’s not how I want my setup to be. I also had a chat with Google Support and they told me to ask Sonos because on their end, everything is working as it should, since I get notifications on my Google Home Mini. Pretty frustrating. And I did find another article on here but after trying all those solutions, still no result, which is why I’m writing this.
Why can't I play music on Sonos groups with my voice with the Google Assistant? It is ridiculous to pay so much money on Sonos devices, if I can't even play music on a music group with the Google assistant!Sonos is a multi room system, but one of the key features ist not Support by the Google assistant. And don't blame Google on this, you could easily sync the groups as separate devices into the Google home app.
So having stopped UK listeners accessing radio stations from abroad, the ongoing legal wrangle for TuneIn now means it’s dropping access to internet radio stations. I don’t know the extent of the takedowns but at least 2 stations I listen too regularly are now not available. While I know there are workarounds my biggest concern is that these don’t work via Google Assistant because TuneIn is the default service. So with the loss of non-UK radio stations, plus the new takedowns of internet streams and the on-going absence of BBC radio services, TuneIn is becoming unfit for purpose in the UK on Sonos with Google as the voice assistant. Is there a solution in the pipeline that would allow UK listeners to access other radio stream providers with Google, or to allow people to set a default other than TuneIn? The current situation means that there’s an increasing number of services that are just unavailable via voice control.
Anyone knows why Google Assistant stops talking in the middle of responses, before finishing them, on Sonos devices? And how I can solve it?
Hello, my Sonos system worked well with Google Assistant for years. I use roam and beam for voice control. All my Sonos products are shown in Google Home, while lately when I ask Google Assistant to play music on any named Sonos player, it just replies "the mode is not available". I have tried restart wifi router, reset Sonos system, re-connect Google assistant, nothing works. Any help is very much welcomed.
Hi,Now that BBC sounds is on Sonos, does anyone know how to change the Google Assistant default from TuneIn to BBC Sounds? My Google Home Mini uses BBC Sounds. There’s still some BBC stations that aren’t are on TuneIn like Radio 1 Relax and Radio 1 Dance
Hi, was hoping someone could help me out. I’ve just purchased a Sonos Roam and have a few issues. My existing setup is only very basic with a google home and several google tv devices, all running on the same network. The Sonos Roam is my first Sonos purchase. Firstly I can’t install google voice control on the Roam. I follow the steps on the Sonos app to add a voice assistant, and when it opens the google assistant app to look for devices, it can’t see the Roam. After looking for devices it fails and says to ensure WiFi is on and that your iPhone and assistant devices are on the same network. WiFi is definitely on and everything is on the same network. Also, I can’t get the Google home to see the Roam and stream to it. When I open the Google home app the Roam is listed under devices along with my other google products, and says it is linked, but when I select media on the app the Roam isn’t listed. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have a stereo pair of nest audios in the living room and i’m thinking of upgrading to either a pair of google home max or sonos 5. I was leaning towards sonos since its not a discontinued product and in future i’ll be able to add more speakers for home cinema etc. i was thinking i’d be keep a nest audio to voice control the sonos, glad i found this forum to check! as i understand it i won’t be able to voice control a stereo pair for playing music, changing volume etc and it all has to be done by phone or physically? and simple things like setting an alarm doesn’t work at all even if it wasn’t a stereo pair?
If I set an alarm with Google Assistant on the Sonos One, will the alarm show in the Sonos app? Also, if I set an alarm with the Sonos app, is Google Assistant aware of it? I’m trying to troubleshoot alarm problems and right now, the Google Assistant and the app don’t seem to be aware of the other’s actions. Thanks.
