Hi,I’m trying to setup Google Assistant on my account but always ends up with this message after being redirected to login to my Sonos account/setup:and my system is fully updated - any advise to get through this? Br. Lasse
Hi all!My Sonos One arrived yesterday, haven’t unpacked it yet. I live in Croatia, Europe and google assistant is not supported on Sonos. I will change my Sonos profile to USA or UK. Will it work? Yes or No? Also, I get that google and alexa is not supported everywhere but why does Sonos voice control not work around the globe? It should not be region restricted.Neven
The Google assistant doesnt apear in my sonos APP. Help me...
Google assistant doesn’t work very well on my Sonos ARC (not very responsive and most of the time there is no answer). A friend of mine said the same thing and then he moved to Alexa and said it worked much better. Google works a lot better on my dedicated Google Home. I guess the bonus of using Alexa is that you can also use the Sonos voice assistant at the same time. Not sure I want the hassle but has anyone experienced that Alexa integration on Sonos is much better?
Hello there,Until now, I was using a Google Nest Mini speaker to control my lights and plugs connected to my home.I recently got a Sonos Beam and I set up the google assistant. With the Nest Mini, in the application, when it was located in the same room as the connected plugs and lights, when turning on or off, there was a simple "ding or dong". With the Beam, even if it's in the same room, I still get a confirmation like, "Okay, I turn on the light..."Is there any way WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE ROUTINES, to have a simple ding / dong? Thanks for your help
Hi i just paired my new sonos Roam with android phone but i can't pair google assistant. It does not appear among voice assistants...there is only "Sonos Voice Control".is it available in Italy?
It is ridiculous how loud google assistant volume is compared to alarm / notification / music volume. There NEEDS to be a way to turn down assistant voice volume. Google assistant is unusable. Is there a way to give Sonos feedback other than through this forum?
Hi,Since a week Google Assistant does not want to play my music from spotify via the command "Hey Google". Each time it tells me: "I can't play this content on this device but you can play it on another device" (I’ve a Chromecast).I can however send the music from the spotify app or via my laptop.Spotify premium is well present in the sonos app. Sonos is well taken over in the Google Home app.I have re-authorized spotify on both apps but no change...I can't identify the source of the problem? Do you have an idea? Many Thanks.Benoit.
I've recently moved my Sonos One in a location where I want to use it more with voice commands and I'm finding an issue with using the Google Assistant and YouTube Music. I give the assistant a command to play a genre of music or a specific command and it responds accordingly; "Playing you song from YouTube Music".However, after the assistant responds the affirmative that it will play the music, nothing is ever played. I can use the Sonos app to play music without issues but this isn't the point. Also, if family members expect to use the speaker, they will only have access to it through voice commands since they do not have (or want) the Sonos app on their devices.Anyone else having similar issues or ideas for things to try?
I would like to be able to set my Sonos device with Google Home in Portugal, but this service is not currently available in my country. May I know why?As you know, it´s an essencial feature to spread the music through various speakers!!!
I’ve seen tons of complaints on here about the Google Assistant voice being too loud. We had the opposite problem, it was too soft. I mentioned this to my wife yesterday and she sensibly said “just tell the Assistant what you want it to do”.We have determined that this seems to work, addressing the Sonos:“Hey Google, make your voice volume lower” “Hey Google, make your voice volume louder”.On quick experimentation, the voice seems to have four or five volume level settings (it’s hard to discern this at the loudest end). You can only go up or down by one level at a time. (At the loudest level, I tried “Set your voice volume level three levels lower” and it didn’t understand.)I don’t know if this will also work to adjust volume for alarm tones. It does seem to work for the ‘acknowledgement tone’ that we have turned on. This is all running on a Sonos Beam.Hopefully not a fluke for us and works for others too. [Maybe this is not technically a question - How about we count the question as

Hi I have a weird issue. For years I have been able to turn on/off my LG TV through voice command using google assistant on my Sonos One. Suddenly this has stopped working, and the google assistant in Sonos says “Sorry unknown error has occured on [name of my chromecast]” (this error might not be precise, I have translated it from my native language).I am able to for example pause/unpause the chromecast using voice command. If if say the exact same turn on/off command using the Assistant app on my phone the TV turns on/off.I have tried unlinking/removing my assistant both in Google Home app, and in the Sonos. Linked it again, and went through the setup process, but the same error occurs. I have also tried renaming my Chromecast (found that advice in a similar thread), but same result. Both my Sonos One and Chromecast has newest firmware. If i go to https://myactivity.google.com/ I can't even see any of my Sonos one commands.
I used to be able to start radio 4 with the voice command "OK Google, play BBC Radio 4" now this just leads to Sonos playing Radio 4 Extra. Has any one else seen this to know how to fix it?
Close to taking this junk back. Nice build quality and sound. Functionality is less than ideal. I have to connect with the app or I get “Can’t connect to the internet right now”. Useless. Setting a wake up alarm for 5:00AM actually sets it for 7:00PM. (Using google assistant). Useless I spent considerable time looking up the alarm issue. Sonos have known about it for years but won’t fix it. It worked fine for a couple of months (except for alarms) Have the latest firmware etc. No changes to router etc. I was looking at a sound bar from Sonos but I think this experience will be enough.
I recently bought a Sonos Roam and a Sonos Move. Both speakers are great and I use them with Google Assistant.I have a home set up in the Google Home app with all my family members.I’ve added my Voice Match profile to both speakers, but every single time a family member of the same household in the Google Home app tries adding their profile, I get this error message, even though they’re in the same home (and not any other homes). So currently I cannot add multiple Voice Match profiles to either my Roam or my Move which is extremely annoying, especially since this feature is really supposed to work.I’ve seen another thread where the user had a similar problem with his Roam, but he was still able to add additional Voice Match profiles, and didn’t get that same error message. The solution to that problem in that particular thread doesn’t work for me.I’ve removed and added my family members back to my home, I’ve relinked my Sonos account, to no avail. Is there any solution to this?
Hi all, In the past few months I have noticed some major negative changes in how we have to communicate with our Sonos system for Spotify.I have a Sonos Arc+2x One SL+Sub, 1x One in Sitting room, 1x One in Office, and a Sonos Roam.Ever since I got the system a few years ago I could simply say “Hey google, play music/ specific song” etc. and it would play on the speaker that heard me say Hey Google. In the past months every time I ask it to do anything it always askes me “I also need to know which device to use. Try saying that again and include the devices name”.This never used to happen, and even when I try include the devices name, about 50% of the time it says the same thing even though I use the speaker name. My wife is ready to throw the system out. This is with Every. Single. Spotify command. even just “Turn volume down” or “stop music”.Is there a way to disable having to include the devices name?Is this a feature that changed recently that anyone else has to deal with?Any help wou
I have 2 Move speakers on a network with Google assistant tied to Spotify. Was working fine until last day or so. Now when I say “hey Google, play The Beatles” it responds “To play media, say something like, play Pop Music or play animal videos on living room TV, you can also use commands like pause or continue or volume up” I updated the system and I have no other indications. The speakers will play music i select from Spotify and it will respond to “pause, stop, volume up” etc

I had google assistant on my beam, it wasnt working so i did the old “remove it and add it back on” routine, BUT i cant get it to add back on!Two hours on the phone, no go….now someone will call me back the next business day (two days).. anyone have a fix i can try before then?Fyi - i was able to add google assistant to my roam no problem… when trying to add it to the beam, i get the “no devices found” from the google assistant app..
Google just released native support for SiriusXM via the Home app. It is listed as a “radio” service. I can use voice commands to start and stop stations just fine on the actual google home products (Hub, mini’s etc), however when I attempt to target my Sonos system for playback I am told by Google Assistant that the device is not supported. For example, I say to my Home Hub “Sonos Kitchen play Phish Radio on SiriusXM”. Google Assistant recognizes the command as valid with something like “OK playing Phish Radio on SiriusXM on Kitchen” ; immediately followed by “Sorry kitchen is not supported at this time”. Is this a bug or functionality that is not yet built? Please note that I am logged into the same SiriusXM account on both my Sonos system and the Google Home system.
Hi all,I worked with assistant for about 2 yrs. now in the living room on Playbar-Sub-One (Rear) setup. We upgraded now the play:1 to Sonos One and SL in the kitchen one week ago, to get convience with assistant too. The distance between both speakers is about 5 meters, with a wall in between.Since the adding of the One in the kitchen, we encounter strange messages from Google like:no setup for room extremly slow performance in executing commands (about 10-15 secs) “your command is not supported yet”Does anyone has experience with this issue? It’s really annoying. It took me a long time to convince my wife, but now I’m angry on myself - waiting 15sec to get the light on or stop music.PS: Sonos App is working well, like before.kr, Thomas

This function was requested over 2years ago. Is Sonos coming up with an update?
I’ve had my Sonos speakers for years and been able to to control them via my Google Home assistants, but since some time ago whenever I say “Play Music on Five (name)” I get the response “It seems you haven’t configured the account with the media distributor yet”.Its not Spotify its referring to but Sonos (If I just say “Play music” it plays music from Spotify on my iPhone”. I’ve removed/added the Sonos account in Google Assistant/Home multiple times, I can see the speakers in my devices list but I can not get inte to play.I’ve tried resinstalling all apps (Google/Sonos) and I’ve tried to different devices. It does not matter which speaker I ask Google to play on, I get the same message regardless.Any suggestions?
