Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have a roam that I love to bring with me while travelling. However with the new app, I am just unable to find the speaker and connect it to the new network in the airbnb.  The help page suggest I should go to the system settings, however that button is either not working, or bringing me to the same page where I can add m speaker to the new network.  The option „update network“ will never appear and I am stuck with bluetooth mode on the device to listen to music.  this used to be easy. 

Hello! I just set up a Sonos Port to my turntable and a third party speaker, but I am having sync issues when playing to the speaker and other Sonos speakers. Here's a breakdown of my set-up:AT-LP120XUSB »Rega Phono Mini A2D V2 »Sonos Port »Marshall Stanmore II Voice I would understand a delay if were running to an receiver between the Port and the Marshall speaker, but I'm going Line-Out directly to the Marshall. I've also set the Port to the all the Audio Delay options in the app without success. Is it not possible to play music Line-Out to a third-party speaker and to the Sonos simultaneously without a delay? Thanks!         

Is anyone else having bluetooth issues with their Era 300? I don't think this is related to any of the ongoing app issuesI have an iPhone 15 and when connected to the Era 300 via BT, it drops out every now and thenIt doesn't matter which app I'm using, so I don't think it's an app issue - it happens with Apple Music, Castro podcast app, Pocket Casts podcast app, etcI've completely reset the speaker (drastic step but I figure I would do that when all the app issues first started anyway), I've forgotten the device via my BT settings and then re-paired it, I've reset network settings on the iPhone, I've of course reboot the Era 300 (by unplugging it for awhile) on multiple occasions but still having the problemIn contrast, I have one of those Bose Soundlink Mini II speakers and it has always been rock solid with the same iPhone and using the same appsThanks

Hello all. So whilst trying to connect two speakers this morning to airplay a podcast to the two rooms i was working between - and this completely failing to work which is the new normal since the new app launch,  most simple of tasks which had never been a problem before - my complete system / products have dissapeared. I have gone to System Settings to try and reinstall and the app can not find a single product l. Obviously not particularly happy about having to reinstall every single product and set up again my system / rooms etc, and even more annoyed that this doesn’t even seem possible as the app can not find any of them. Anyone else’s had this problem and found a fix? Many thanks   

Im running the latest Sonos App on my (up to date) iMac 24. I could not get my music library into the Sonos App and called in for help. The agent took over my Mac and moved some things around and now my library from iTunes/ Music is shown in the Sonos App. My playlists are nowhere to be found. I’ve read the articles about xml files but can find them so I don’t know the path. ideas and suggestions greatly appreciated. Thx hk

Hi everybody,I have an Arc installed on an LG OLED G2 TV (2022).Everything worked very well, until LG's WebOS update (April 2024).Since then, every time the TV is started, the sound of the Arc is jerky, cut, jerky, freeze etc....The only solution I found is to change the audio settings on the TV.I have to select “TV speakers” as audio output, then 2 seconds later I reselect “HDMI eArc”. It works but I have to do it as soon as I turn on the TV....No response from LG. Has this ever happened to anyone here?Do you have an idea to fix all this?Thanks a lot for your help!

Even after the recent app fiasco, my TV Autoplay settings were still functioning correctly. After a forced update via the Windows desktop controller this morning it is no longer working.It seems that whether the switch in settings is set to ON or OFF, my living room speakers are now cutting off music and switching to SPDIF when there is a signal from the TV. (i.e Autoplay is always on no matter what I do to the settings.)I already can’t listen to the music that I own at all, and now I can’t even listen to music via a service in my main room while the TV is on.

Just bought an era 100 Sonos speaker, when setting up with app on phone was all going well until I started looking for certain apps I was hoping to use on the speaker!BBC sounds was the main one I couldn’t find as I tend to use it quite a lot! Does anyone know why I’m not able to find it in the app?Any help would be much appreciated ThanksJonny

I have no room for soundbar, so using 2 era 100s in stereo pair and a Sonos sub. Works fine if I use music source like iTunes. But on Frame TV, which I am using Bluetooth to get audio to era 100, sub produces no sound, but era100s work. ? 

I’ve set my speaker up with Ethernet and works fine. When trying to set WiFi connection it says it can’t find the speaker 

I am new to Sonos (last month, so dealing with all the fall out of the app). I have my Arc in my living room with two Era 300 surrounds and one Sub gen3. Then I have an Era100 in the kitchen and bedroom. With this same set up I was able to select all the room within the app and play music on all zones and control the volume on all. Now that I’ve had it a couple weeks I can’t seem to be able to send any music to the Arc system through the Sonos app. It works fine on the Era100s, but when I check off the Arc it just does nothing. If I then go into Spotify and select that Arc as a speaker it plays well through all speakers and I’m able to control through the app. What am I missing, I why can I not control them all from Spotify within the Sonos app. It’s really hard justifying the bucks to people, let along myself, when it’s working like this. 

Is it also the experience from others that the Sonos roam SL is so far the worst product by Sonos?it takes 2-5 trials every time to set it up. It seems to fail in putting itself to power safe mode, it has issues connection and then the most absurd feature about not being able to connect to the Bluetooth without first setting it up with WiFi….

Because there aren’t enough problems, here’s a minor one that’s just indicative of what a stupid app this is:When you search for something in Apple Music, the results automatically show you the whole service, and there isn’t another option below that which is just your library like there used to be. You need to click through to the service and then click another button to switch to your library.But wait! It gets better! Then it shows you the artist, below it are the songs, and then way below that are the albums because who listens to albums anymore? (Maybe people who are willing to spend thousands of dollars on a music listening system? Maybe?) Anyway it’s even better because when you get to the albums it doesn’t actually have all the albums you have on it. You can see the albums you have in your library in the song list, but they don’t actually show in your library! You have to actually search for the album name or go to the regular Apple Music tab… which shows every album by that art

ran through system adds and can’t identify products.  I ran through wizard, can’t seem to fix it

I have two Sonos SL One Speakers. The one in the living room works fine. But when I try to listen to the one in the kitchen at the same time, I get a message on the app that says, “Unable to connect. Try again later.”

Greetings. I have several Sonos devices (Beam, Sub, several Ones, all connected in S2 app. I’ve had constant issues with devices cutting in and out, often severely, to the point that I’m considering taking them all out permanently and investing in something else. Most are wall mounted and some ones hard wired so not a simple task. My house is 95 years old with thick plaster walls, because of that I have 4 Asus routers all hard wired together (via Cat6 that runs in the basement and up to the routers) and using AIMesh which provides great coverage in my 1600sq house. Sonos “shouldn’t” have issues, but they do.In a final step, I purchased 2 Boosts off of eBay. Hard reset both. S2 app will not detect them unless they’re plugged into my router. When plugged in, S2 app detects and then says that I need to unplug them from the router to setup and then reconnect them later - click “done” is the only option. So I unplug from router, click “done” and back to the app. It doesn’t do anything to ad

Hi! I have a Sonos Port connected via ethernet cable, an older 2nd gen Sonos Connect, connected via ethernet cable (and wireless?), two Sonos Play 1 speakers (as a stereo pair) connected via wifi. I had everything setup and working on my network as described above. For the Connect, I had set it up on wifi and then later plugged in an ethernet cable to it. I don’t think I ever did anything to the config after plugging in the cable. Then, I replaced all of my networking equipment - routers, switches and APs. All new IP address and wifi SSIDs and passwords. I didn’t make any changes to the Sonos devices, yet all were found by the app and are working perfectly. I can understand why the Port and Connect would do this - since my phone and computer are on the same network, but how did the Play 1 stereo pair move to the new network?? I never intervened to change the SSID / password on them. Just curious how this happened? My router sees all the devices and has assigned them DHCP addresses as f

I’m trying to figure how the music is played on a system with a couple of connected speakers through a WiFi network.Let’s say in a first round that I want to play music on a single speaker. Can someone explain to me the way the stream is played to that particular speaker?If I look at the system information (Windows application), one can read ‘Associated Product: IP address’ then the list of the respective products whith their own IP addresses including the one labelled ‘Associated Product’Does that mean that the Associated Product is kinf of a master in the system? If yes what is its role and how it processes the requests from the user?I ask those question because I experience for 2 months or so frequent interruption of the music and, when I try to re-play the channel, I get a message that the system is unable to connect to the source.Any help would be appreciated.

I need to down grade my play 1 gen 2 to gen 1 so I can use it on the gen one app with my gen 1 play 5

I have had this problem ever since I bought this speaker where Sonos will not recognize the network.  I tried hard resets a few times and was able to get it to work until power went out and I lost WiFi.  WiFi signal is strong and the modem is a brand new. Rev. 2.1 Firmware CGM4981COM7.3p3s1-PROD_sey.  I was able to get it to work with an ethernet cable but I prefer WiFi.  I went into the xfinity site to see what features i can edit.  xFinity does not recommend splitting bands with 2.4 and 5GHz.  I don’t understand the reason.  Also, the modem is set at WPA3- Personal Transition but offers WPA2 and WPA3 -Personal as other options.  I don’t know what these mean and what I should change.I hope someone has answers. I have been building my Sonos system in my house for a while now.. I currently have 10 zone play 5s in my bedroom that I run with the S1 app, I went ahead and bought a Sub Gen 2 from eBay for like $490 and now I got it and I cannot use it because the downgrading feature has been removed from the apps, temporarily I hope……. I so badly want to hear how this sub sounds. Please, has there been any chatter of when they will re Integrate This feature into the Sonos app so I can get this downgraded to S1?

Hi, Can I use the Sonos mobile app on my iPhone to play/control music from my Mac desktop?  I think I used to be able to do this but it seems like the Sonos desktop no longer functions?  I can play music on my Sonos using my Mac, but I cannot control it from my phone. Is this possible?  Thank you!

Hi I’ve recently changed my WiFi and can’t connect my Play 5 to the new router (BT Smart Hub 2). I’ve done a factory reset, after which I get as far as entering the WiFi password, then it says connecting to the WiFi but after a few minutes it says your product has been connected but might not show in your system, in which case unplug the product, plug back in and complete the process on System Settings. When I try this it doesn’t find my Play 5 ?

Can Hoopla audiobooks be listened to on Sonos speakers?  We have Play 1 speakers.
