Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Multipoint between a Mac and iPhone doesn't work smoothly. When I have Spotify playing on my mobile and am simultaneously connected to the MacBook, I can't resume playback after taking off the headset. It pauses after 1-3 seconds, and I don’t hear a sound. I then have to first switch back to the MacBook sound in the sound settings tab on my Mac, then reactivate SONOS, and only then can I resume playback on my iPhone. Does anyone have an explanation? 

Hi Folks,Long time Sonos advocate here and, have to say, generally over the years I have found performance of the old S2 App to be flawless.  However, I installed the recent App update on Android about 3 weeks ago and since then, the performance has dipped.  Adding songs to playlists or, even making volume changes appear to take about 15-20 seconds to be actioned by the speakers.  I’ve uninstalled the App, reset my router and made changes to the 2.4 Ghz networks that Sonos recommend - all to no avail.  I am running 3 separate Room setups (but have done so for years) and in each case, performance is the same.  Last evening (as an example) I was adding music via the Sonos app from Spotify to my 2 x Play 3 Stereo pair and had to wait at least 20 seconds for the tracks to start playing.  In the end, I resorted to using the Spotify app directly and pushing the music to my Sonos speakers which seemed to be much better (but not perfect).I have a TP-LINK AX6000 router with Truespeed Internet (

I can not get pass the terms of use and license. It ask what country and I can put in USA but it will not scroll down or show any kind of button to move on. I have no access to 3 of my 4 speakers. Very frustrating.  Also I can not get through to a representative either through chat or phone.

When will I be able to downgrade the firmware on my old Play 3 from S2 to S1 please?

I have a Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3. The Arc is connected to my Nexigo Aurora projector using HDMI eArc. The sound quality isn’t as good as when I play music from my phone via AirPlay. For example, a song sounds great on my phone even at half volume with strong bass. But when I play the same song through the projector, even at 80% volume, the sound quality is lower without life. Does anyone know how to fix this or suggest better alternatives?

Radio and Spotify keep cutting out. Suggestion is to change the network number but that is greyed out in settings. No clue what to do. Recent issue. 

Hi Sonos Community... Been frustrated for a few weeks... I have an Arc soundbar and Sub. The soundbar works great, although the sub does not work.  The sub is connected to my WiFi network (same as the arc). WiFi is enabled on the arc settings. I've deleted, added and redeleted the sub from the system. Have also reset both the arc, sub and my internet network multiple times.  Getting through to sonos via phone is Impossible. Any solutions? 

Most of my favourite radio stations disappeared from TuneIn and MyTuner this morning.Most of them are still there on the MyTuner website but not in the MyTuner list on Sonos.I am supposed to be able to add the streaming URL using the “add radio station” in the Sonos setup but it always returns “not encoded properly” when I try.Does anyone know what hapened? Have these streaming services fallen out with Sonos or have they removed loads of radio stations?

Does anyone know where how the above works after today’s update? Only I can’t find it arm.

Since this latest update my system is terrible, will not connect to speakers then drops each speaker off and on whilst music is playing, true play and the EQ constantly resets itself and I contact Sonos support and just get an automated response email. Sonos I feel are at the forefront of music technology but they are miles behind on customer service. Staring to feel I wish I had never brought any Sonos kit. Does anyone else have the same issue or knows of a fix.

My Sonos One (Gen 2) speakers are not reliably connecting to my network after router was replaced. I have unplugged speaker, and plugged it back in. Using Sonos app on my iPhone, speaker is not found

So, most of my Sonos Favorites that were Tune-In stations are grayed out after the most recent updates (both iOS and now OS). Is there a way to avoid paying the Tune-In subscriber fee to regain access (for those that aren’t on Sonos Radio)?

Every time SONOS has a software update it kills my network attached or locally attached drives that contain my music - why do they do this crap?  Do you bother to even test before you release?

I now can't play all three of my Sonos devices at the same time. "Try again later" Yet they all play perfectly fine on their own.   I convinced my mum to buy my dad a Sonos system for his birthday, lauding the hardware and the software. Guess when his birthday is? May 8th. Now I look like the idiot son.  I can't believe how much damage you've done to previously good product. 

My subwoofer was previously paired with my ARC soundbar, but today it lost connection and stopped working. I tried pushing the side button on the subwoofer, and it would work for 5 seconds and then dropped. I removed the subwoofer from my arc and am trying to add it back, but now it’s not finding it. How can i add it back and get it to work again? Thanks 

Somehow the option to control the volume of the surround speakers in the system has disappeared in the current app. Is that just me?

Config: ARC and ERA 300 both part of a named group.Switching from TV to Music is easy enough and works flawlessly. Reverting back to TV is not so easy.On the home screen I select TV as a source and the ARC speaker does switch to the TV input but the ERA300 keeps playing the music. The only way I could find to get TV to play on the ERA300 is to go to the home screen, select the system name, press the TV audio play control and select the speakers and reselect the ERA300 click apply and it switches.Can’t understand why switching from TV to Music is a single click, but reverting back to TV requires a lot of clocks to accomplish what should be a simple task. IS there an easier way to revert back to both speakers playing TV as a source.

The recent update has destroyed my music experience. As soon as I start a song once at a speaker start going up in volume the other one is off. 30 seconds later the other one comes on and my other two fade to zero. This happens for the first 2 minutes of the song and again towards the end in the beginning of the next songs. Can't access the EQ next to the volume controls anymore but more so the speakers and the app now have multiple quirks to the point or I'm using my Bluetooth speaker and my phone to play music. I need them to pay to get the geek squad or somebody out here to fix this. I've called multiple times and stayed on the phone for hours trying to resolve this. Didn't work!I'm extremely disappointed.!!!

Hi I have an ATV 4K, sonos arc and LG C9.  Should I set the LG to Bitstream or PCM?

iPhone 7 running iOS 14.7, downloaded Sonos S2 app, finally was able to downgrade my AMP.

Anybody experiencing the issue where the song shown as playing in the app is actually the previous song to the one Actually playing?

I am well aware of the issues with trueplay tuning after the new update. I have a beam + 2 era300 and I am wondering if anyone from you got the same error message at the end of the first stage like me saying: “an error occurred and we couldnt tune Room. Please try again”…. I feel that all of you have other but common issues with trueplay and maybe my problem is of another nature…anyone with such message after the new update of the app?
