iPhone cannot see Sonos speaker

I have a Sonos Flare speaker which my iPad will connect to (via Bluetooth) without any issues.

However I cannot get it to work with my iPhone. My phone can’t seem to see the speaker. Any ideas?

My phone connects fine to the bluetooth devices

Hi @rob_c

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

There is a speaker made by Anker called the SoundCore Flare - I think you might be on the wrong support site.

I hope this helps.

Not sure what a Sonos Flare is, but have you unpaired the iPad from the Sonos speaker before attempting to pair the speaker with the iPhone? Have you put the Sonos speaker in Bluetooth pairing mode? You might want to disable Bluetooth completely on the iPad first.

I fixed this issue by unpairing the Sonos Flare from my iPad before trying to connect it to my iPhone. I also made sure the speaker was in Bluetooth pairing mode and turned off Bluetooth on the iPad to prevent any conflicts. This allowed my iPhone to detect and connect to the speaker without any problems.

@jimbrown1 For future readers looking for solutions it would help if you would mention the Sonos device you are using by it's right name. There's no such thing as a Sonos Flare. Portable Sonos devices are either the Move (in gen 1 or 2) and the Roam (SL).

Other, non-portable, Sonos speakers equipped with bluetooth are the Era 100 and Era 300.

Hi.

It seems this thread has been woken from the dead - the original post was in 2023. Closing thread to further discourse.
