Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Another app issue! Recently, when I open the app on any device it takes between 3 to 5 minutes before playing music is possible. All my devices show empty queues, then after a few minutes they refresh and show what was last being played, only then can I select music to play.Is this a known app issue?

Ace… needs to be able to connect to Any home theater receiver.  Make a difference in our lives and make a Bluetooth transmitter device that plugs into receiver headphone jack.  Stop being overly competitive.   Not a good look. 

Sonos managed to change an easy to manage app into a complex maze. It is a downgrade. Please fix it. I knew how bad it was. Unfortunately pressed the upgrade by mistake….  I am paying. 

I have an lg oled 65 tv, not e-arc. Everything has been working fine until this year, I get drop out constantly and have to switch to spdif/hdmi converter for it to work again. I have tried resetting and new cables also reset cec simplink. Last time the sound came back after a couple of months and now gone again. The arc channel works fine on other devices I have and I do have picture from the port. 

The Sonos app doesn’t show “audio in”; it’s just blank on the “Sonos System Info” screen even though there is audio playing.My source is an Apple TV 4K, connected to an LG OLED TV with audio passthrough enabled, and my Sonos Arc is connected to the TV’s eARC port.When I had a Sonos Arc in the past (I recently moved and got a new one), and was using the “old” app, the input type would show on the “Sonos System Info” screen. Hello. We recently switched WiFi to AT&T Air. My Sonos system worked very well before and I have made some progress in setting Sonos system up again under the new WiFi. A couple of continued problems 1) - I can not get the Mini-Sub to connect - I have tried reset numerous times - the set up sees it (although i have to enter the code on the bottom of the sub each time- even with phone has no case on it) but when it come time to press the button on front - the light turns orange and the phone says it cannot connect - have tried this a dozen times - also directly wired the sub to router with no success. Any ideas? I successfully created new system and added Beam and two Era 100s as a stereo pair (just missing the sub), and added everything to Office as the room. In the past, all of the components showed up under one location - but now the Beam is separately in Office and the Stereo Pair is separately in Office - they appear to be two separate rooms - which is not doable and not what I

Can anyone tell me where or how to reauthorise my apple music app? My desk top app saysit needs to be reauthorised, and then says this needs to be done on my phone. I can’t see howor find instructions on SOnos Support. I am beginning to wonder if it is a casualty of the infamous May downgrade to the iOS app, or simply me not having a clue(or a complex and diffiicult interface for users who expect simplicity). I am quite certain that i used to be able to do this from the desk top app.Any guidance appreciated.EnEm

Please test your software before you release it to the public!we have just about every Sonos product they make and this latest update prevented us from using any of the speakers until we were able to reboot our router, unplug each device (about 25 of them), and keep launching the update.  It made me realize how much we have invested in Sonos and how one issue like this could cause us to potentially flush thousands of dollars down the drain.  We will be looking for alternatives in the future rather than buying more Sonos products.  This is absolutely unacceptable for speakers with such a high price point!

My Sonos Radio account access has expired.I click on reauthorize, then authorize, and it brings me back to the original “has expired” screen.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.I have reset and re-added the speakers.I have logged out and logged back in.After 2 weeks and investing literally hours of time into this nonsense, Sonos still cannot add its own music service.These people are so incompetent I don’t even know where to start.

I thought it would be useful to have a comprehensive list of issues with the new app that have been reported in these forums.  Ideally Sonos would have something to track these issues eg. Apple Feedback Assistant, Microsoft Feedback Hub, Bugzilla, etc.  Unfortunately they don’t.  To kick things off, I created the following list using Perplexity.  Please add missed issue or correct issues misreported.  Please DON’T add comments on how upset you are, or how great the new app is, or engage in dialog.  There are plenty of posts like that already. So a big thanks also to “helpingiskind” @HelpingIsKind So as far as windows users go, sorry not sure about iOS users here, but the crucial things after updating the windows app for W10+, you need to turn on “Advanced Sharing” in windows, and make sure that your music library whether it’s stored on a NAS or just an ext usb drive, or internal drive is added to your library. So this is the example that helpingiskind gave:Please right-click on the Music Folder > Properties > Advanced Sharing > Add Sonos Wireless HiFi System to Read/Write:Then go to Sonos settings on your laptop and add “My Music folder” and it will sync.  Because the android app is terrible, I rolled back to the version 78 and found the .apk for that and then the app works like it’s used to and marries to the W10 controller app nicely….which has also caused the update issues along with the apps for android/apple to be very annoying! Good luck and lets hope the next update from Sonos makes things nice n easy for ev

Hey alltwo Days ago i had to set a new PW to my Spotify acc. Since then i cant connect it to the Sonos app. I tried it multiple times, i logged out and in in Spotify, Sonos I d restarted everything.  It always says „something went wrong“, when i try to connect it. What can I do?

I have several speakers , I have a bridge that everything runs through . Play 3,play 1 and bridge came with my kit when sonos 1st came out,now I have 3 play 1s newer era 2 beams a 1 arc and sub 3 . My app has been giving me an error code and let's me connect once or twice a week . The bridge is dated I know but still controls everything when I disconnect it nothing connects . I still have all speakers connected.  What do I do?    

I am considering an Era 100 pair for my turntable and to use as surrounds for Beam.A little background on my Sonos system: the turntable; is a Victrola stream Onix currently connected to my Sonos system via Wi-Fi. Each beam is a different room I can use to listen to records. Beam Gen 1 is the BR soundbar, Gen 2 is the LR soundbar. Yes, each Beam has a subwoofer too; a sub-mini in BR and Sub Gen-3 in LR.Era 100 question: can these speakers be used as a stereo pair for a turntable when listening to records for better stereo separation; and switch to rear surrounds with Beam Gen 2 when watching a movie easily? I also would like to use the Era 100’s Bluetooth to connect a PC, Phone, or tablet to my Sonos system. However, I read or saw if you set the Era 100s as surrounds Bluetooth and maybe line-in is lost as an option. I think I would need to add the Era pair as a room for listening to records on the Victrola stream. I think this option lets Era’s Bluetooth stay available however I think

Once or twice a week, my Sonos system randomly stops playing music on all speakers.  This is at times accompanied by all of my speakers disappearing from the iPad app.   Rebooting the iPad and thus the Sonos app seems to restore the speakers and fix music playback.   During this process, I get spurious prompts to add back speakers.   Some other notes: I have a mix of 9 wireless and wired speakers, Sonos One SL’s and   Symfonisks  I have been able at times to play back music during these episodes from the Web app or the MacI am writing this note especially to the attention of Sonos personnel, but was wondering if anyone had noticed similar behavior and had come up with a permanent fix short of completely tearing down and rebuilding my system or network.   I should be at the most current software versions.   My network appears to be working, otherwise.   TIA

Opened the Sonos app today to find all products missing.  I suspect one of two things, either:it’s to do with the Sonos app being flaky (as I can see some other similar posts in recent days) it’s the result of having been away last week and attempts to get the Sonos Move (which I had with me) connected to the wifi in our accommodationEither way, I’m hoping to recover things without factory resetting the entire system.  For what it’s worth, I can see all of my products when I log into the Sonos website, so they’re still there.The options the app presents are either ‘Update network’ or ‘Set up new system’.  What I really want is ‘join existing’ but I don’t have that option.  Update network fails completely I’m afraid.  I’ve a couple of times got a single device to emit the ‘pairing’ tone, but then the app never finds it.The arc and era 100’s are working by the way for TV audio, but presumably as it’s all directly connected via HDMI.  I can’t control any of it to play music.Where do I sta

Hi I’d like to request a feature for the SONOS App (I am using MacOS) I often mix different spotify playlist with similar genre. However they often happen to have some same songs in them. I’d love to have an option where i can automatically delete duplicate songs in the list thats playing.That would be really lovely. Because there’s nothing i hate more than listening to a song twice :) Best Regards

Hi,It worked at first in het new app, but now the circle to control the playbar is gone? The only way to control volume is with apple tv remote. I tried turning it off and on twice already. Any suggestions?Niels 

Hi alli read that for good Dolby Surround you need this Arcana Device, so i bought one.No i have no idea how to Connect. I tried to connect the Epson HDMI2 ARC Output to the Arcana Input and the Arcana out to the Sonos ARC. with this i got no sound at all. I also bought 2 18MB HDMI cables. Can it be that the ARC does Not work with this cable or what i am doing wrong?Thanks for your helpAlex

HiSince downloading the new app, when using Mixcloud, all of my playlists have been removed ?....I've spent nearly 10 years building them, to not be able to access any makes Sonos useless to me. Is there a solution or workaround to this please, I'm desperate !

I have a Synology NAS with my Music Library (13.8K tracks, all FLAC, very obsessively tagged and Album Arted over about 15 happy years with Sonos) on it.  The Library contains 167 Compilation albums with some 3.6K tracks. Compilation albums have the Album Artist listed as Various Artists and each track has its own Artist.  Regular albums have the headline artist in both Album Artist and Contributing Artist fields, so the headline artists appear in both the Album Artist and Contributing Artist lists in the Sonos app, but artists who are only on Compilations only appear in the CA list.It has always frustrated me that there has never been a Search facility for the CAs despite the fact that when the Library is indexed the CA list is always populated, which is indicated by the fact that, when you toggle the “View Contributing Artists” switch in the Music Library menu the CA list appears immediately without having to re-index.I have, since the May 7 ambush, multiple versions of the Controlle

I am the author of the SpotifyPlus integration used in the Home Assistant home automation software.  I am trying to figure out how to specify the call parameters for a Sonos device to the Spotify Connect ZeroConf “addUser” endpoint, which is called to login to Spotify Connect for the specified device.  I am currently using a Sonos IKEA Symfonisk (gen 2) device to test with, as well as a Spotify Premium account.A Spotify Connect Zeroconf login needs to be done programmatically so that the Sonos device can be accessed by Spotify Connect after a period of inactivity.  The Sonos device automatically logs out of Spotify Connect after the inactivity period, and needs to be re-awakened (e.g. login again) in order to be selected.In working with other vendors that support Spotify Connect (Bose, Onkyo, Yamaha, etc), they use a “tokenType=accesstoken” in the addUser parameters.  The “blob” parameter is formatted with a Spotify user-id and password value, and the addUser call successfully logs the

I purchased a single Roam last year and now want to purchase a second Roam to create a stereo pair. Problem is, I don’t know if the original one I purchased is a Roam or a Roam 2. Naturally, I want a perfect match.Is there a way of identifying which Roam I have? I show Model S27 on the base, but that doesn’t seem to be cross-referenced on Amazon.
