We purchased our first Sonos product in 2009. Since that first purchase, we acquired a couple Play:5s, a couple Play:1s, a Sub, and a Bridge, among other items. We really enjoyed the Sonos gear over the last decade, both the quality of the gear and the audio performance. We’re moving to a smaller property in the near future and no longer have the same need for multi-room audio. Plus, not all our gear was compatible with the new S2 protocol. So it seemed a good time to sell our equipment before the S1 components fell further in value. We did so last month, and all items sold quickly on eBay. As we move to our post-Sonos lives, I just wanted to say thanks to the Sonos staff for their great products, great innovation and great support. I’m sure your customers will enjoy the new S2. All the best.
I am absolutely incensed by the shear insensitivity and blatant Marketing effort under the guise of ‘End of Software Updates’ This is totally unjustified - the amount of software involved is minute compared to something like MS Windows and they manage to support £100 products for 10 years and TVs last just as long. My Connect:Amp is probably only a few years old and cost £400 and now you want me to upgrade for an insulting and derisory 30% off a hugely inflated price of £600!!!!!!!!!!! I will NOT Upgrade and will now be actively looking for alternative products especially as it now obvious you are going to do this to all my other products in the expectation of dubiously getting even more money from loyal Sonos owners. Until this moment I held your Company and products in high regard, now I am appalled by your behaviour and will NEVER buy any more. You greedy b*******s have shot yourselves in the proverbial foot. I dare you to publish this.
Because many of us use our phone as a controller for Sonos when streaming of Spotify, Audible or Pandora it is very annoying that the streaming doesn’t stop when receiving a phone call. I understand that you desgined this intentionally, but since most of us use our phones to control Sonos could you please modify this? Thank you,Elaine
I see the question was raised 2 years ago and asked again 1 year ago. I’d like to refresh the question: Are there any plans to integrate Sonos and Discord?Reason for my question: I’ve connected with a group of friends with similar interests over Discord, and we now have music streaming parties where one of us will stream something through Relisten on a web browser, and we all listen in the audio channel with mics on mute. I’d like to be able to play what I’m playing through my Sonos system with the app (saved playlists, music library, my spotify account, etc.). I’ve already got it set up to play the streams over the house system (laptop connected to TV connected to Amp). However, to stream from my own library, I have to use Windows Media Player. Discord does show Sonos as an option when I share my screen for a stream, but when chosen it just displays to them what it’s playing to me without sound because the app is not actually playing on my PC. I know this is oddly specific, and I thin

How many Architecural in ceiling speakers are ideal for an outdoor covered patio of 11 x 13 and another 25 x 11 space?
Been 3 weeks since I ordered the turntable on Sonos. Was supposed to be available again on July3rd. Have not heard anything and my order status still says backorder. Anyone else having trouble getting their order? Would be nice to have an updated expected delivery date.
The wireless card has stopped working, so the product doesn’t work. A technician with Sonos has confirmed that this is the problem. The cost for repairing it, says Sonos, is $518.34!!! This is outrageous. Is there a third party repair source that will replace this $29.00 part? As someone who has invested significantly in SONOS products (5 speakers, sub, etc.), I am furious that they build products that can’t be repaired. This isn’t true for Dell, Sony, or Toyota. What gives, Sonos?
The CR100 controllers (which Sonos bricked) and two Connect’s that were replaced by Sonos under warranty (shipped back to Sonos) still show up as part of my Account>System here - but not on any of my Sonos Apps. How do I remove these devices from the Sonos Account>System?
I have a Sonos Arc that would look better mounted upside down, does anyone know if this would effect the left and right speaker since they would be on opposite sides? Or does the Sonos arc detect that the speaker is upside down and ultimately calibrate the speakers so that the left and right speaker work as if it was never flipped?
HI folks , I am hoping one of you can comment on ARC set up with samsung qe55q60r (hdmi arc, no earc) and Atmos . Are you getting atmos through samsung native streaming apps like Netflix and Prime Video ? Are you overall pleased with the Arc on this TV? Thanks a mill! -A
Wanted to write on here as I’m having trouble with my Sonos one SL and wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues with it. 1. I Planned to move the speaker around the house occasionally. Bedroom, living room and kitchen. Every time I move it to another room I have to retune the sound. I thought that a £180 speaker would save the tuning in each room, so that when I move it to another room I click the room in settings and it automatically retunes itself. But doesn’t. This isn’t good, as if I want to set it up in the kitchen for half an hour while I cook, it takes 10 minutes to get it there. I can’t believe it doesn’t have an option to play with Bluetooth. I appreciate WiFi is the best Now but two weeks ago our WiFi was down for two days and again, I can’t believe that a £180 speaker doesn’t have an alternative option for this. I find the sonos app so complicated to navigate. I listen to a lot of house music, so lm often trying to find less well-known songs and artists an
I’m sure some Sonos superfans are going to come by this thread and tell me to buy a new tablet, but my Nexus 7 (2013) running Android 6.0.1 is the best tablet I’ve ever owned and still works with all streaming services, from Netflix and Sling to little old RugbyPass and WatchNRL. Hell, even Comcast’s Stream app works on Android 6. That’s COMCAST, the company so hated by their customers their name became an insult to other companies (e.g., “you’re literally Comcast!”) and had to rebrand as Xfinity. So I’m really hoping you beautiful developers can see the light and one day (soon?) allow me to use my beloved Nexus 7 as a Sonos controller again. I have five Sonos Ones, an Amp, a Beam, and a Move. The Move, by the way, is among my favorite possessions, right up there with the Nexus 7. May they all live a long and useful life!
When you have traded up your Leacy product, and the credit is on your account. If you then sell the device and the new owner adds it on their system/account , dues the credit stay on your account or transfer to them?
Several months ago I retired my original Sonos piece, a Connect, and replaced it with the new model. At this time Sonos was bricking old pieces when you replaced them. But as we all know, this caused a major blow-back from customers and supporters and they walked back that decision, announcing that the older devices would not be supported when Sonos 2.0 arrived. The old devices wolud continue to function without upgrades or support. So I decided to haul out my old Connect and put it back to work in my shop. When I went through the setup the device told me it had been retired and couldn’t be added to my system. So, I’m confused. If the device has been retired can it be un-retired? Thanks for your input.
Looking online, instructions suggests you open your sonos app while on their wifi system. Then just sign into your own account. Its doesn't seem to work. any one got any ideas for a novice at this
I had to return a recently purchased play five because of connectivity issues. It’s taken a few weeks from the time I shipped it to the time I received a refund in the form of a gift card. Now I have a gift card for $500 and there’s absolutely nowhere, anywhere to enter that gift card number at the time of purchase. What is going on with this company? I’ve attempted to call customer service multiple times and I’m put on hold for a half an hour and then hung up on. How does any company do business this way? I’m trying to get in contact with support to raise an issue with Spotify playbakc, but the Support website says you can only use Twitter or Phone. What happened to the option of sending an email or filling out a form? I don’t use Twitter and the Phone is inconvenient. How is the community option supposed to work when it needs support to interpret the diagnostic I have uploaded?
I’m looking to purchase a Sonos Port to replace my old Connect. I’d read that because of the heat of bricking old components Sonos had allowed people to upgrade with the 30% discount and keep the old equipment. Have a use for the old Connect in an other room, so hoping not to create more E-Waste, even if it will lose support in May. The website still seems to state it will be useless after the 21 days? David
I HAD A PLAY 5 AND PLAY 1 BOTH GO BAD AT THE SAME TIME. ON MY CALL (MAYBE THE 6TH) SONOS AREED TO A REPLACE AND RETURN, WHICH IS AVAILABLE IN MY AREA…. THIS IS IMPORTANT----OF COURSE THEY CHARGED ME FOR SPEAKERS AND SAID THEY WOULD REFUND WHEN I SENT THE OLD ONES BACK (NOT VERY OLD) NOW THEY ARE SAYING THEY REFUNDED MY BANK OVER 3 WEEKS AGO AND MY BANK SAYS NO THEY DID NOT….SO I AM OUT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND NOT SURE WHERE TO TURN HOW DO YOU REACH SOMEONE WHO WILL HELP….I HAVE MY RMA NUMBER AND MY RECEIPT OF WHEN THEY DID RECEIVE EQUIPMENT…. SINCE I HAVE HAD SONOS I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS, BUT LOVE IT WHEN IT WORKS AND OUT OF MY 20 PLUS CALLS, ONLY HAD ONE THAT WAS HANDLED WITH WHAT I WOULD CALL EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
Ok. So I love my Sonos equipment. I have a Playbar, 2 One SLs, a Sub and a Play 5. I have the Sonos App on my phone and on my mac. Yet NOWHERE in Sonos do they have a marker or gauge for volume level? Why is this? There is only a vague slider. The importance of having hash marks or even numbers on volume really helps to know where you have preferred volumes in rooms. Perhaps I like my play 5 generally at level 6, but on more quiet nights I prefer level 2. Or maybe I like my playbar usually at level 3. Why is there no marker at all for volume level? Even better would be if you could have presets. You can simply select all rooms to jump to their preset volumes. These sometimes change when you are playing movies vs music. Or when you need not upset neighbors. It would be great to have markers. Does this function exist? It seems so basic. Even stereos from the 70s had some marker to denote volume that was more recognizable, other than a general slider. Thanks.
I am a very long time SONOS customer with four distinct systems in four locations with over 30 devices. Almost all of these devices with become legacy in a month. Any new purchased SONOS products will cause incompatibility issues. SONOS I know you are looking to the future but I hate to see you lose me as a customer because now any other player out there puts me in the same position you are. Two apps, two environments! How about this for a solution to keep me and a ton of other SONOS users happy. Build a “New SONOS Bridge; A device that sits in the middle of a “SHARED” system and performs two simple tasks: Be a device that can be grouped from both the OLD and NEW environments Passes music between the two systems If this would require this BRIDGE device to be wired to the network that is okay with me or that this device runs like the MOVE off the WiFi that would be fine with men. Technically this seems like it should be pretty easy to do. I would be willing to pay a reasona
Does a Sonos stereo pair have the ability to change the balance of left and right volume? Oftentimes you want a pair of stereo speakers to be stereo BUT NOT play the exact same volume. Likely because one speaker is further away from center. This used to be fixed on old stereos by having a balance slider. So you could make the left speaker louder than right, or vice versa. Does a Sonos stereo pair add balance sliders to the pair you make? Or are they all the same volume output? Thanks.
I ordered yesterday a Sonos One. SL but because of a mistake on the shipping option (selected 1 day and not 2day free) I cancelled immediately and made a new order with the correct shipping option. So the first wrong order was on hold and I was waiting for the confirmation and the refund. Today I received a response from a Sonos representative and he offered me shipping costs refund. I replied and told him that I want it cancelled because I have already ordered and paid for an other one. But after 5 hours with no response both speakers were shipped. What is the standard procedure now? I don't want to mess with the return procedure because I have very bad experience with one (it took 45 days and thousands of emails to get my refund and when I finally took it I had to pay bank expenses) I will appreciate any help. Apostolos
I just bought the Sonos Move from El Corte Ingles in Lisbon were no information was provided about the limitations of Sonos in Portugal, namely that Google Assistant and Alexa were not available. Bad consumer information, also from Sonos, since those limitations were not stated in the box or even in the website that promotes the product. Not sure why Sonos is discriminating Portugal and portuguese consumers, but for me that’s enough. I’m returning Sonos Move and ask my money back.
