I would like to know if I have or the best way to connect my Move 2 to an existing system which is an Ark Ultra , set of 300s and dual sub Gen 3s. I also have grouped a set of Fives. I know it’s a lot to figure out but I have connected my Moves and with everything going listening to music it sounds fantastic but as mentioned am I getting the best sound connected that way?, or is there a better way of doing it? Thanks in advance
Hi, I recently purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra, a Sonos sub-mini, and two Sonos Era 300 speakers. Although I purchased them together , I had to wait for the Eras to be delivered. During that time, I set up the Arc with the sub, and it all sounded fantastic. I was really looking forward to the Eras arriving so I could set it all up as a Dolby Atmos sound surround system, obviously all in the same room. I have followed as many guides as I could regarding setting it all up. I realize that I must be watching films and music that support Dolby Atmos, I stream music from Spotify and Amazon Music, as I was looking forward to listening to music with this complete music system. I listen to music all day so it is an important aspect for me. On Amazon Music, while listening to an album being streamed in Dolby Atmos I can hear music some sound from the Eras, but very faintly. The same when playing a Blue Ray video in Dolby Atmos. I would like to hear far more from them. As for setup, I used the Sono
Era 300's neither in paired or surround mode, when playing Suddenly volume exploding
I moved from Texas to Florida and now I am setting everything back up. My ARC connected fine but sub not even detected.
I’ve been in the software industry for 50 years now. That’s a long time. A very long time. I have seen many applications, utilities, services, and products come and go. I have built many of them. This new SONOS Android app? One of the worst re-versionings I have ever seen. Two cardinal rules have been broken:Never release a product that is not fully baked. If you present functionality to your users that doesn’t actually work as the UI suggests it should, you will feel the wrath. Never release a version update that removes functionality from earlier versions without very, very good reason. Doing so, after setting the self-created standard, takes away a considerable amount of your goodwill you worked so hard to create. We all know how depressingly awful this new version is and how much has been lost in the process so I won’t belabor the painful details.I really just want to know what you, SONOS, are doing about it? This sub-standard garbage has been all we have had for way too many months
Hi we are making a cinema room and was wondering if this set up will work 1 Sonos arc under the tv on a media wall2 sub on the floor in front 3 x2 wall architecture speakers in the wall at the back at ear level on the side walls and the amp, also does it work together having a Sonos amp and the rest of the speakers being connected to the tv ? we have the speaker cables ready where the wall speakers need to go is this easy to set up in the app as one room and link ?
Hi! i’m having this very frustrating problem after changing my isp and my home network. For 2 of my products this far, i set them up with the ethernet cable and make sure the « enable wifi » is on, but they still disappear like i have nothing when i unplug the ethernet cable. Any help with that would be much appreciated! I have three other products that will need setting up after those and I would like to stay in a good mood! 😅 Thanks!
According to thr support article from the Sonos below, the app (both Android and iOS) should have a function to put Arc Ultra into Bluetooth pairing mode. However, the latest version of the app on both platforms is MISSING the Bluetooth pairing function. How do we report this bug? Is there a form or official tracker? https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/pair-sonos-arc-ultra-with-bluetooth
When using the Sonos App to stream Amazon Music, the Artists listing in My Music is incomplete. I can only access artists up to the letter P. The list beyond that point is truncated. I had read a previous thread here indicating that Amazon Music applies a container size limit of 500 items. This seems to imply that the truncation of my list is a condition imposed by Amazon. I take issue with this answer, since my Bose app contains the complete Amazon Music artist listing, and continues to readily follow my expansion of that list with no issues when I add new artists. Why not the Sonos app, as well? The previously suggested workaround of using the Amazon Music search function in the Sonos app is cumbersome and time consuming. It is far easier to scan through my private list to select files to play than to perform a search from memory. Why even use a selection list, if only half of my artist selections are readily available, and the other half I must recall from memory and then use a sear
I’ve had a Playbar for a number of years but with the arrival of Arc Ultra decided the time was right to upgrade for a surround experience, I have a sub and plan to add 2 Era 100s later.I have a brand new LG G4 and connected the Arc via HDMI eARC expecting some great things. I have now tested with several movies, all listed as Dolby Atmos, in Disney and Apple. When watching, the Sonos app confirms they are passing Dolby Atmos. However, I hear absolutely no sense of surround, no left, right, above or rear sound. The whole experience is little different to my Playbar. I understand it wont be the same as when I add dedicated rears, but I expected something at least. Even scenes where it is obvious there should be something, like a drone flying overhead - absolutely nothing. Just one big sound from front.I have used trueplay (advanced on apple phone) to tune it and it is perfectly situated below and in front of TV with nothing to block it.Overall, hugely disappointed and considering returni
SONOS app on Apple iPadBrightspeed Fiber with GigaSpire BLAST u6.2 Router I have used SONOS for years with both DSL and Spectrum cable. Today I had Brightspeed Fiber installed. The router has one SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Sonos products are not found on the network and of course will not connect. Have tried …Disabling the 5GHz radio in order to make ONLY 2.4GHz available Disabling the router firewall entirely so there was no filtering of traffic in or traffic outAnd assistance would be greatly appreciated. I’m all out of ideas to make SONOS work. Thank you !!!
Hi…so I’ll start by saying I have a lot of Sonos and I like them, I don’t love them. This will be relevant as you read. Up front I have an arc with an original sub and in the back I have 2 era 300s. I love the eras but the arc on its own is lacking. It’s lacking that immersive filling sound up front. Directly in front it’s good but at an angle I can tell. I tried connecting my original play 1s as a test to see if adding them would help close the gap and from my assessment they do almost nothing in this setup. Sonos doesn’t have a lot surround options so my only real Sonos specific option would be the era 100s. However, many people on forums say the sound difference between that and the play 1 is minimally noticeable. over the summer I bought Bowers outdoor speakers and with it a Sonos amp. The bowers speakers are phenomenal. Heads and shoulders above Sonos. Once I realized how good BW is that’s why I say I like Sonos I don’t love them. I’m already in to Sonos for living room so I’m
I’M SO DONE WITH YOUR CRAPPY SYSTEM!! Your speakers are great but I’m FED UP WITH YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM AND THE HOURS AND HOURS IVE WASTED DEALING WITH IT ALL!! I’M FURIOUS WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I HAVE WASTED ON YOUR WORTHLESS CRAP!!
I understand that it’s not easy nor convenient to switch between surrounds and stereo pair on the Era 300s. I’m seriously contemplating on returning these only for that reason. Is this something Sonos is willing to accommodate to their users? If there’s any decent chance of this coming sometime even within the next year, I am willing to wait. Just curious if this feature request is on their radar.
Done all the steps advised, connected to same Wi-fi as TV, logged into my account but cannot register the app and get Error Code 1000 followed by ‘Try Again Later’ which doesn’t help at all. Went to the forum and found a possible solution which said I should click on the “Speaker” component, select “ADD” on the popup showing Sonos Beam, HOWEVER the Speaker component is not ‘live’ and so I cannot click on it.
Why is there one button that you have to press and hold for different amounts of time to do who knows what? What does the white light mean? what does the green light mean? what does a flashing-blue-then-green light mean? why is it so goddamn hard to use this piece of crap?
When I Save a user created playlist from Amazon Music to Sonos Favorites I get a message saying Removed from Sonos Favorites instead of Saved to Sonos Favorites. The playlist does get added. The wrong message pops up.
Not sure if it is supposed to or not, but it would be great if the Sonos S2 Controller App when playing a song would call the Windows Media API call so that it would show as now playing and the Windows media shortcut keys would work like volume up and down and previous and next song. Also, when the screen it locked it would show up as the song now playing on the lock screen. This would also allow other applications to display this information as rich presence in applications like Discord.
In the current Sonos app on iPhone, I see absolutely no way to create a playlist. I have searched online and the steps that even Sonos lays out do not even match what is on the corresponding screen. Ugh, this is such an awful app that it is unbelievable that any designer could have even thought of this. I’m a pretty educated person- I have an M.D. and an MBA and I record music in Logic as a hobby, yet I cannot begin to figure out how to make a playlist. It was so much easier in the old app! Can anyone help me?
Morning,I’ve taken delivery of a Sonos Arc soundbar to upgrade my Beam (Gen1). Using the existing cabling (also tried the new cabling in the box) when setting up the Arc everything goes to plan until I get to setting up with the TV (LG Web OS UK6950PLB). The app advises that no HDMI-ARC is available, but am getting a signal on HDMI 2 from the arc. I’ve tried restarting the app along with the tv and ARC. The Beam works fine through my LG on the HDMI port so know this is fine.I’ve also defaulted both the ARC and TV with no success. Has anyone else had this issue or suggestions on how to resolve?
Hi,I mostly use Sonos to listen to my music library (USB device on my router). I use the iOS app and despite the latest updates, some functionalities are still missing for me.I like to use « Folders » instead of « Artist », « Album » or « Song », because it keeps my music in the classification order I want (and because all albums/songs from an artist are in the same place, even if there are many featuring with other artists). In previous app, I could play all files in a folder without having to manually choose each subfolder/file.In the new app, when using « Folders », I first have to choose one subfolder (album) to have the option to play it. If I want to play all the subfolders (albums) of a folder (artist), I need to add each subfolder to the queue.Whereas.. If I use « Artist » instead of « Folders », I do have the option to play all.Previously, « Folders » worked the same way as « Artist » for example. When I was in a folder, I could play all that was inside in one click, use shuffl
Hi all, just moved in a month ago so forgive the barew alls. Long story short, the beam 2 doesn't do a great jobo f filling the space (unsurprisingly) in the living room. Theo ther issue is that while you are standing in the kitchen, you're pretty far away from the TV (and the soundbar), sou nless you really crank it up it's tough to hear. I thoughta bout the Arc sound bar being better for the situation buth ave a few other thoughts. The ceiling in the living room has two junction boxesw here speaker wire has already been pulled (see pics).1. it seems most people suggest having passives peakers in the ceiling and using that only for music - Is this the best option here or should I look to have the passive speakers bonded with an Arc soundbar for a lackluster surround setup? I realize it's not ideal but if it keeps the look clean I'm open to it.2. l'm fine with passive speakers for music only in the ceiling and surround setup elsewhere. Trying to achieve a clean look and don't want to
sonos ace not connect to my asus vivobook !!what to do ??i did everything
My Arc works just fine. It is hardwired to my AV distribution center in the basement, along with 5 amps for different zones. The HDMI interface on my Samsung Frame TV works flawlessly. The Problem: ARC refuses to pair with the app. Every single other speaker, amp, MOVE, and random S1s I have around the house all paired long ago, and work perfectly. whats the deal!? How do I fix?? Avid Sonos user, so please assume I’ve done all the typical troubleshooting (unplugs, updates, etc).
Looking for a man cave solution. I have 7 TVs set up in sports bar fashion. I’m curious how I can get the ability to select which tv I want to source the sound to the sonos speakers connected to my Sonos amp. Just like at a sports bar. All the games on but I want the ability to select which one I want sound from.
