Alexa voice assistant on Sonos One is far lower than media content. Raising volume for Alexa (e.g. instructing Alexa to play at louder volume via voice command) makes the media play too loudly. Please add volume control for Alexa.
Realizing the inevitable (phasing out the desktop app and going to a web-based controller), I’m starting, grudgingly, to use my browser to connect with my systems.I’m not seeing any ability to adjust the EQ on my speakers through the web-based controller? Am I wrong and, if so, where can I do that? If I’m not wrong, I hope this feature is added asap.
I'm still experiencing the terrible lag on basic play controls, volume and mute which make the listening experience rather traumatic rather than pleasurable as it use to be - just wondering whether anyone, anywhere, any how had discovered a reliable fix/ solution??Note for Sonos - basic play functions like volume, track selection, skip forward, skip back have to work instantaneously it is a basic user experience expectation - if it is true from what I read that even basic control functions go to the cloud with the added latency and lag for using the system I paid you alot of money for to play music reliably in my own home then you really need to rethink that engineering decision - simply unacceptable! (you might also think about making a clear and unambiguous statement about that, as the speculation and lack of trust is hurting you badly)
So I’ve had my Sonos arc ultra for a little over a week now and I’ve enjoyed it, but when trying to watch tv now it’s just not recognizing the hdmi arc anymore. It just shows tv hdmi on the app and the power is working but it’s not getting recognized at all. Really frustrating
Why did Sonos need to change the view of what is playing? After having a nice big view of what is playing it’s now a popup box that a ¼ the size of the screen…why? Why make it smaller? It so small that it’s impossible to slide the progress bar, as your finger blocks the view. Once again, we get an update that’s a downgrade in what we had before. Why do they keep trying to fix something that’s NOT broken? It’s as if you feel if we need to constantly have things changed, why? The old saying of it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Hi there. New to Sonos and loving the Sonos Arc + Sub mini combo I have for my living room.I've recently bought two Era 100s to eventually act as rear surrounds when I move to a new place. Using them as a stereo pair in the office for now.I've noticed that adding the two speakers in the Sonos app appears to create a new system to join them to, rather than adding them to my existing one that has the Arc+Sub Mini. I've reset the Eras multiple times and readded but it keeps creating a new system. I understand this should add them to the existing system and I can have multiple rooms if i want? The Arc is wired into my LAN, and the Era 100s are joined to the WiFi SSD of the same VLAN (Unifi Dream Machine). Could the Arc being wired be causing issues joining the Eras?
a few updates ago, I noticed that when I click on certain favorites they play but show no content and there is no FFW RW, or scrub bar. I am seeing this with Apple Music and YouTube Music. If I press and hold and click play now, I get the meta data and transport controls. Anyway to fix this?
After an update about two weeks ago the sound bar dropped off my Sonos One’s. I have called support four times, spent a total of 6 hours on the phone and still nothing. The Sonos update screwed something up.

My TV has a Beam, sub and two SL speakers that form my living room surround set. The two SL’s have just decided to disconnect with no changes to WiFi settings, router, or anything. Yet again I find this system so unreliable and frustrating. I’ve tried rebooting. No luck. Help. (Also, I don’t want to hear “move it closer to the router” nonsense! The router is 2 metres away!!)
I’m not able to get Google nest to play anything on my pair of Sonos play 1 speakers.when I try and add Google assistant in the Sonos app it doesn’t work it just pops up help info instructions on how to set it up which I’ve already done. I’m using the Sonos app on my iPad. I have installed google home and Google assistant and the Sonos app. I try setting the default speakers to the Sonos speakers in Google home for the nest device. When I ask the nest to play music it says okay and that it’s playing on the selected speakers but the speakers never play anything. I can control the speakers fine using the Sonos app by itself.Any ideas on why this doesn’t work at all? I’ve seen other people posting that it works and I’ve watched YouTube videos on how to set it up and it working for them.
Has anyone noticed that the Sonos Arc Ultra in White has a slightly duller shade of white than the Sonos Arc in white … or is it just my eyes that are deceiving me haha? I had the original arc in white, then upgraded to the arc ultra, and placed it in the same location, but to me eyes seems less bright white than the OG arc. I wonder if someone can confirm if there is in fact meant to be a shade difference (maybe as the ‘grill’ may be closer to speaker elements as it’s more compact in thickness) or is it just my eyes playing tricks haha Thanks!
Dear support team, I'like to use Sonos arc ultra together with a projector. Can I fix the Sonos ultra above the screen of the projector ? The bar would be pretty close from the ceiling (around 5 cm). Thanks and regardsNicolas
Hi, I have purchased a TCL Android tv. I tried connecting it with my Sonos beam using both eARC and optical cable. But no output is received. I tried many solutions suggested in other threads playing with the settings, but it just doesn't work. Any suggestions please? Has anyone else faced this issue?
I have just taken my speaker off ethernet to place it in my kitchen. For 2.5 years the speaker was left in its box as the house was getting refurbished. Only used it for a total 5 years. Now discovered the wifi has probably never worked just like the thousands of other units that had defective wifi cards. Sonos have only offered a 30% discount on a new one. No attempt to repair mine even knowing they have a reputation for bad network cards. Telling me it has worked for 8 years is not good enough.Have told Sonos that a couple of honest reviews will help another perspective buyer think again about products that should be recalled when so many have been defective, instead of fobbing off people who have spent so much money for products that have not undergone thorough testing. Hello,I noticed what appears to be a defect when re-authorizing an account. Setup:Sonos with 2x Apple Music accounts (nicknamed A and B in Sonos)Apple Music account A expires credentials or token or somethingController prompts to reauthorize Apple Music account APrimary user is signed into Sonos App and Apple Music account BPrimary presses prompt to re-authExpect-- ideally a prompt to sign into Apple Music under the account name saved in nickname A.Actual-- Nickname A is now linked to Apple Music account B. Browsing either nickname shows the same content, i.e. Apple Music account B’s content. This error is compounded by the fact that it takes two sign-ins (which basically means people present) to add an Apple Music account. Thanks for reading,Gabe
Sonos, When are you going to fix the terrible App and it’s even worse response time? This has been ongoing for over a year. The system is NOT responsive to the commands it is given. And yes, I’ve updated everything, I’ve swapped routers, I’ve been on the phone with a technician for hours trying to troubleshoot the issues. User forums are rife with the same complaints. I have stopped recommending Sonos products because of this issue.
Over the years this topic keeps being closed down, but Sonos never fixes it. I do not experience connection lost issues with any other music streaming service and I never have this issue directly streaming Spotify. So the problem without doubt is Sonos. it gets harder and harder to keep with your brand and shoddy software. Please fix this!
I have several clients that want to have surround play the sound bar volume. Currently we have to group these speakers and adjust the volume on the app we would love to group these speakers to the sound bar and they adjust the volume up or down with the sound bar based on the TV remote.
Hey all. Would welcome any assistance as this has foxed both SONOS and BT support. I’ve a BT Smart Hub 2 as main source of internet A Sonos Boost is connected to the Smart HubThe Smart Hub is connected via ETH to a UNIFI Dream Machine (DM) HubA UNIFI PoE network switch is connected to the DM4 UNIFI POE WIFI discs are connected to the PoE network switchThe NETWORK NAME AND PASSWORD are the same for ‘all’ devices Since the last SONOS APP update (S2) individual speakers and now entire room Groups have dropped off the AppI’ve tried connecting the Boost to the UNIFI DM but no change I’ve also manually reset every speaker in the house, re added them and tried updating the network. Though it appears to add them fine, they don’t then appear in the App! It’s starting to drive me mad and I know there are some issues with old SONOS tech and how it works with UNIFI. Thanks in advance!
Sorry but this new app sucks. I have gone “all in” with Sonos in 2 homes and I am considering starting over with something new. Either fix the new app or give us the old one back. It is suck a headache! I upgraded to WIFI 7 on the fastest internet known to mankind and it still sucks! Help…
After buying a Sonos system & upgrading my soundbar to a Arc Ultra I found restrictions with being able to use my Bose headphones with my LG Tv, due to hdmi setting on the tv defaulting back to the Sonos hdmi arc output, I did find a work around but this isn’t how a system that you paid high dollars for that should work flawlessly with all your devices. After contacting both Sonos & LG Electronics I had no joy, they both palmed me off to each other to rectify the problem.I bit the bullet & thinking buying the Sonos Ace will be completely compatible, they will be happy as they have made a sale, I would have a flawlessly working set of headphones that works without any problems.Alas, I was wrong, the volume when listening to the TV is way too low, I’m hard of hearing, I wear hearing aids, I wanted the headphones to work equally as my Bose, JBL headphones in volume, unfortunately there’s no setting that allows you to raise the volume, so I just shelled out a large chunk of cas
My Sonos Ace (Headphones) are connected to my iPhone, but I'm not getting any sound. They show as connected, and I’ve updated them in the Sonos app and tried disconnecting and reconnecting several times. However, they work fine when connected to my laptop for Teams calls.Does anyone have any suggestions? Could it be related to the latest Apple update?
Helloi used to have my playbar connected and everything was going great. Connected to tv and playing music via Spotify until one day it does not show up on Spotify app. tried everything and decided to reset to factory setting. Now the Sonos app does not identify my bar. I connected with ethernet cable the bar and router and nothing. Contacted Sonos support and live chat with a guy who tells me that the problem is my phone setting with allow access to microphone. Asked me to go to setting, privacy, microphone and toggle the Sonos app. The problem is the Sonos app does not appear. Same issue on other devices. Live chat guy sent me a link how to set a bar and got disconnected. Nice support. so here I am asking the community. my playbar still has its green light flashing and still plugged with ethernet cable. I reset modem, router etc. Still nothing. Becoming desperate and close to give up.
