I am currently still on Android 16.1 as in May 2024 I stopped all updates to app, along with updates to desktop controller (Windows) and Sonos devices (several Sonos Play 1, Move, Connect:Amp and Beam). I mainly stream radio and listen to my own library on NAS. I have read many threads but haven’t seen anything within the last 4 months or so that indicates whether or not the functionality is now at least back to where it was pre-May 2024, or if there are still issues (e.g. with playlist management and album art from NAS libraries). Appreciate any views on this, and also if it is considered now back to full functionality, is there an order is which the 3 updates (devices, desktop controller, Android app) should be done?
A Beam Gen 2 and 2 Era’s for surrounds. Doesn’t matter what content you’re watching, as soon as background music stops playing, the voices are much more quiet. The only solution I’ve been able to come up with is to pause the video playing for a second or two them resume playback. All of a sudden everything is back to normal. I already use voice enhancement to make it louder and have night sounds turned off. I believe this to be a software issue. What do you think?
If I am posting a new topic when I could have done so in an existing one, I apologize, but there didn’t seem to be an option to post a new thread in an existing topic. My wife purchased an Arc Ultra, Gen 4 Sub and 2 Era 300 speakers for home theater. We are in the middle of a remodel, and from what I have read, we have made some decisions (irreversible) that are NOT optimal for our home theater setup, so I’m asking here in the hopes of salvaging what we can (yeah, I know it’s still going to be incredible, but dammmmm).(1) The TV will be above a fireplace, so about 5’ off the ground and the Arc will go between the mantle and the bottom of the TV(2) room dims are roughly 20’X18’ BUT we vaulted the ceiling, so it’s 8’ at TV wall and 8’ at the back wall but center of room above our couch will be about 13’.(3) looks like sub will go in a cabinet behind the couch in a window seat. This means the arc will be maybe 5’ off the floor and mayb e 2.5’ above our heads and maybe 10’ in front of us. Moderator edit:Google Translate-I am experiencing problems playing Tidal via the Sonos app. I can navigate and select music from Tidal fine, but when playback is started, the music either does not start or it is interrupted after a few seconds. I have no problems playing from DR audio or Sonos Radio. Tidal works fine when I play with mobile and to headphones. Any suggestions as to what could be the problem.
The app seems to be working better on my phone - less glitchy. Figuring it out amongst most platforms. Have any thoughts?
I have recently noticed that my sonos media library has dropped tracks from albums after track 09 ?The album tracks are in the folders on the NASI checked the tags using MP3tag, My NAS media server software recognizes and plays all the tracks on the album and they appear in the Album & artist views correctly. However, The Sonos shows that whilst all the tracks are in the folder view only the first 9 tracks appear in the Sonos Album or Artist views, the rest of the tracks are missing and they are also missing from Search. I deleted the Sonos Media Library and re-added it with the same result Anyone else noticed that they are missing the tracks at the end of albums?I have only noticed this behaviour after the last few updatesCurrently the OS on the devices is 82.3-60160It happens with theAndroid v80.15.01IPAD v80.14.09 (later version not avail yet in my region)and PC version 16.5.1
Hello. I am trying to get my Sonos Connect Amp 2 Gen to work better with Apple Airplay. I came across the Eve Play and thought it would be a plug & play setup, but it´s not working. I have connected the Eve Play to the Sonos Connect Amp through the Audio In plugs. Does anyone have the same setup / anyone using Eve Play against the Connect Amp?
You can cast local Dolby Atmos files to Sonos using the Hi-Fi Cast or BubbleUPnP app.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.findhdmusic.app.upnpcasthttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnpSequence Pink Noise 7.1.4 file: https://bluewindy.solaris.usbx.me/filebrowser/api/public/dl/A6CxJEFW/downloads/Sequence%20Pink%20Noise%207.1.4.m4aApple Music Link : https://music.apple.com/kr/album/sequence-pink-noise-7-1-4/1748110988?i=1748110990&lsAt first I was skeptical about this, because the Dolby Atmos indicator didn't appear in the "Sources" section of the Sonos app. So I decided to play 7.1.4 test tones. I adjusted the overhead volume while the overhead test tones were playing, and it actually worked. On the other hand, when I streamed 7.1.4 test tones from Plex, which is provided by the Sonos app, the overhead volume adjustment did not work. So Plex does not support Dolby Atmos Cast.If you plan on using the BubbleUPnP app, do the following
I’d like the ability to create and manage alarms via Sonos Voice Control.I know it can currently do timers, but I’d like to be able to create an alarm that goes off daily at a given time.
I’d like to be able to use Sonos Voice Control to ask basic math questions:“What’s 42 + 11?” “How many cups in 2 pints?” “How many metres in 200 feet?”
Just after people’s thoughts on the above topic, now that Pinewood is dead in the water. I have a Beam 2 with Sub Mini and Era 100 Rear Surrounds, with a spare pair of E100. Just watched a vid on YouTube by neverenoughtech showing Sonoseqencr adding Fronts to a soundbar, sure enough, they pop up as fronts in S2, they also seem to disable L/R on the Beam. It seems to be a future feature not developed yet, can’t help feel it will be written out on a future update, now that pinewoood has gone ?. Does anyone have any views on this feature.look forward to comments !
What is described in this reddit thread for the Arc Ultra, happens with my Arc system with movies/tv for some time now. Background sounds are very quiet but dialogue is fine and any loud sounds like gunshots, explosions are ok too.It wasn’t always like this, remember it being very atmospheric and detailed.Any ideas how to fix this? Tried resetting, changing settings etc. but not fixed.Arc Ultra - unbalanced sound and spikes in volume? : r/sonos
First things first. This is not a rant. This is an expalation of a problem, which reduces the experience in 3D audio a lot. For background: I'm a sound engineer and music producer and I don't wanna sound arrogant, but I know what I'm talking about. (I'm a really nice and funny guy :D)So lets get to the problem then :DNO I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE FRONT FACING DRIVERfor better understanding watch this VIDEOThis bug appeared the moment I switched the Arc with the Arc Ultra. Before I made the switch I was on the 16.1 app and firmware. So I don't know if the Ultra causes the problem or the app/firmware. Before the switch everything was running as it should. So, since there is not much of a topic around this, I'm curious if I am still one of a few who have this bug or one of a few who noticed it.I made this post in Reddit, but not everyone is on Reddit and the more people know, the faster Sonos can work on it. Reddit discussionI didn't saw any review which mentioned it.As you can see in the v
I would like to open up a survey about an issue I am experiencing.I have a sonos Arc in one room with alexa and sonos voice control (SonosVC) enabled (sonos with microphone). I have an echo dot in another room paired with a sonos playbar (sonos without microphone). I have a subscription to apple music. I have a group on the alexa app called home where both arc and playbar are grouped.Asking Alexa to play on individual room works, from both device:Alexa-Arc-->playbar→ sounds come from playbar Alexa-Echo-->playbar→ sounds come from playbar Alexa-Echo-->Arc→ sounds come from arc Alexa-Arc-->Arc→ sounds come from arcAsking Alexa to play on the “home” group only play audio from the device where the request was submitted, despite showing the the music playing on both device on the sonos app.Alexa-Arc-->home → sounds come only from arc Alexa-Echo-->home→ sounds come only from playbarAsking sonos voice control (SonosVC) to play everywhere works.SonosVC-Arc-->everywhere→ so
Hi, I don't know if anyone else is totally frustrated with the New Sonos app as I am, but I have two questions. One, is anyone able to edit their playlist? My list keeps duplicating songs, so I have multiple songs with 2, 3, 4, and 5 duplicates. And I can't delete them. Two, has anyone found an alternative system they have moved their system to that is working for them?
Music Library problem finally solved…… (for me)First of all, originally I couldn’t access my Music Library at all. I managed to solve this but then had the problem that once I could see my Music Library in the SONOS app (iPhone and desktop), it was showing as empty ie no music. If you can’t even access your music library at all then read this article, it might help but read the rest of my comments first: Adding a Music Library share | Sonos CommunityIf you need help creating a local account on your PC, this will help: How to create a Local account in Windows 11 - Microsoft CommunityIf you then have your Music Library showing but it’s empty (ie no songs, albums etc,,,) then this is what I did.My original music library was in my OneDrive folder under \Music\Music Library. This was shared through a local account I created named SONOS. Through this I could add and see my ‘Music Library’ in the SONOS app but it was empty ie no songs, albums etc.. showing. Sharing OneDrive, the Music folder
Roam won’t respond to power button, nor does it show the red light at the base when plugged in. Any ideas?
Custom streams are still extremely difficult to manage. One can add custom streams to the TuneIn library via the TuneIn app. These then show up inside the Sonos TuneIn ‘New’ Service. From there, those streams can in turn be added to Sonos favorites. However, unlike the old interface from the ‘Pre-Update’ Sonos App, there’s now no way to assign a friendly name to custom streams. Is anyone aware of a way to do this, or is it scheduled to be fixed? This was functionality we had before that has now been removed and degraded.
I want to create an alarm not based on time (e.g. 3 min or 4 min). I want the alarm to be a single song and once the song ends then the alarm stops.
Products that are pure white or black do not give designers much to work with in most homes. Would like to see more attention paid to colorway aesthetics. A soundbar does not have to look so generic and unattractive. Perhaps a two-tone Arc Ultra in silver and gunmetal grey.
Can I get a radio station from Italy from the US?
I recently built a Sonos home theatre system, piece by piece, as I was able to afford each component. I started with the Arc ultra and added two Era 300s and a sub mini. This is all hooked up to my lg g4 77 in OLED.I have researched all over the Internet and am getting differing opinions. My question is straight forward: I am using the era 300s as rear speakers. What are the best configuration settings in the Sonos app for surround, height, arc ultra, etc? Do I increase the bass and treble on the Arc, or leave that alone and only up the bass on the sub mini? Should I set music to ambient or full? Please give me a complete list of optimal config settings and I will be very appreciative! Thank you in advance
I can set or change alarm settings. The save button changes when I press it, but nothing happens.
Hi everyone,I recently moved into a new apartment that provides internet for each unit via AT&T Community WiFi. I have my own unique password to access the internet, but I’m running into issues setting up my Sonos system.I have a Sonos Arc and two Sonos One speakers, which I’m trying to use as surrounds. However, they won’t connect properly, and I suspect the issue is related to the internet setup. Here are some additional details:The apartment’s Ethernet ports do not work. I was told that when the building’s internet was set up, the wiring was not labeled, so it would be a long process to get them functional. I’ve tried setting up the speakers over WiFi, but they won’t connect as surrounds. I’m wondering if the issue is due to the shared network environment in the building.Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Are there any workarounds I can try to get my Sonos system working again? I really miss using them! Also, I am not the best with technology so I feel really screwed here.Th
Who knows why it is taking zo long to fix the app , that sound control etc react in the right way. Iam getting tired of it. If there are stil no improvements, iam going te sell it all and try another.
