Hi Samo,
I no expert, but I have played with this for some time, so as a guide, I’ll tell you what I experienced and found out what worked for me.
At first I went and changed all the sound settings including the surround settings, even though I wasn’t completely happy with the results. I then ran the trueplay tune.
This improved the sound but still not perfect. Seeing I changed those settings earlier mentioned, I would try to tweet it a little further, this was a mistake, as you generally end up lost with the adjustments and then have to run trueplay again.
Trueplay is a good tool and sets your system to to suit your room environment to a good point that you may not have to touch the settings again, you may find your system sounds good, but if your like me you will fiddle to see if you can get more out of your system.
Point being if you use the reset button to set all your settings back to zero before running trueplay you will have the system sounding good, so if you feel the need to tweak do so, then if you get lost again with the sound you don’t have to run trueplay again, just reset all the sound settings then your back to scratch as after you ran trueplay.
you’ll have a base point that you can start tweaking again if you want.
The other settings like clear voice & night sound are better left off as they effect the tuning, try adjusting after the tuning process above, you may not need them, I have left mine off & happy with the sound.
Hope this helps, good luck
Since room acoustics vary significantly from one location to the next there’s very little we can say other than “try the different settings, and see what you like”. This is especially so because some folk like a really heavy bass whilst others prefer it to be more subtle. Sub positioning can also make a difference.
The “right” or “best” settings are what you prefer in your environment.
