After buying a Sonos system & upgrading my soundbar to a Arc Ultra I found restrictions with being able to use my Bose headphones with my LG Tv, due to hdmi setting on the tv  defaulting back to the Sonos hdmi arc output, I did find a work around but this isn’t how a system that you paid high dollars for that should work flawlessly with all your devices.

After contacting both Sonos & LG Electronics I had no joy, they both palmed me off to each other to rectify the problem.

I bit the bullet & thinking buying the Sonos Ace will be completely compatible, they will be happy as they have made a sale, I would have a flawlessly working set of headphones that works without any problems.

Alas, I was wrong, the volume when listening to the TV is way too low, I’m hard of hearing, I wear hearing aids, I wanted the headphones to work equally as my Bose, JBL headphones in volume, unfortunately there’s no setting that allows you to raise the volume, so I just shelled out a large chunk of cash only to be disappointed again.

I’m asking if I have missed something in the settings, on both the TV & the Sonos app have searched high & low, cannot find any settings that I can tweak, if someone can advise me on this please share it with me.

Do you mean the volume controls, or are you expecting something different?

Slide the Content Key up and down to adjust the volume.

What I’m expecting is to raise the volume to a level that’s louder than when either the physical volume switch on the Sonos Ace or a setting slider in the app or tv settings OR ALL are fully cranked up.

Not so hard to understand raising the volume so the sound coming out of the Sonos Ace is ‘’LOUDER’’

What would you expect?

In your original post you didn’t mention changing those tv or app settings; nor that you had the volume turned up to full. “unfortunately there’s no setting that allows you to raise the volume” was all you said.

Thank you for clarifying matters, though I don’t think the sarcasm was entirely warranted.

I was hoping for some advice not a question that I noticed was the same question you have asked other members experiencing the same problem, what is your solution if you have any input would be more beneficial.

After performing TV Audio Swap with the Ace, you should be able to easily increase/decrease the volume using the TV remote, Sonos app, or content key on the headphones.
