There is still one big issue for me regarding to volume control of grouped rooms. In the past the most comfortable way to set all grouped rooms to the same volume level was setting the main slider to zero. Then you immediately were able to raise volume for all grouped rooms at the same level. Now I have to wait for about 8 seconds!!! after setting to zero before I can raise volume in sync. Otherwise the grouped rooms won’t set to zero.I really hope Sonos will find a way to get this sorted. A maximum of 2-3 seconds to wait would be welcome for me, or an optional button in group control would be fine to activate synced volume for all grouped rooms (maybe at level of the most „silent“ room of the group).
Where are the Sonos Ace release notes? I keep getting firmware updates but no release notes in the app or the website from what I can tell.
Hi.2024:Coming later this year, Sonos’ all-new TrueCinema technology precisely maps your space then renders a complete surround sound system for a listening experience so realistic you’ll forget you’re wearing headphones.2025 April:Will it be released this year. Regards. M
When will I be able to connect two Sonos Ace to one Sonos Arc Ultra?!?
If you’re getting a “password incorrect” error when you’re trying to connect your SONOS product to your WIFI, below is what is likely wrong (*Spoiler alert, it is likely NOT that you entered the wrong password, accidentally copied and pasted a space into your password, or used a “tricky” special character). The culprit is most likely that your SONOS component (or app if you are a S1 user) is a model that cannot connect to your router’s current setting...BUT...you can probably do a quick setting change to your router to fix the issue. For example, my old Connect Amp running S1 needs my router to be set to 2.4 ghz and 802.11g. My new router broadcasts in both 2.4 and 5 ghz (so no issue there), but it defaults to 802.11n only. I had to access the router’s settings and switch it from 802.11n only to 802.11 n+b+g to finally get passed the dreaded “password incorrect” error. If you’re curious what WIFI mode your SONOS component is compatible with, see the following link:https://support.sonos
Good Morning All,I have a customer who has a sonos one speaker it will randomly “lose” a room in the sonos windows app,I will have to unplug the power cable and plug it back in then the app picks up the room the above only works for a short while eventually i will need to reset the speaker and re add it using the mobile app Could this be something to do with some kind of conflict in windows 11?
I've found that there isn't a lot.if battery info in the app. My speaker was at 6% and I had to go hunting for it. There's plenty of space to put the battery % here or even just display it when the speaker is below, say, 10%.
Hi all — hoping for some insights or a solid fix. I’m running a large Sonos setup (7x Sonos AMP, 1x Arc, 1x Sub Gen 3 unused currently) on a UniFi network with the following gear: UDM-SE USW Pro 24 PoE Multiple U6 Pro access points (Garage, Kitchen, Hallway, Master Bath) iOS devices with latest Sonos app The SSID is unified (“LifeIsGood”) across all APs (2.4 + 5 GHz, same VLAN), and most of the Sonos AMPs are wired into the switch (see attached screenshot of MACs labeled SonosZP). ❗Problem: The Sonos app fails to find the system on my iPhone unless I am physically near the Kitchen AP. As soon as I roam to the office or other APs, the app shows: “No products found on LifeIsGood” Once I return to the Kitchen AP — it all comes back and works perfectly. ✅ What I’ve checked so far: Client Device Isolation = OFF Fast Roaming = OFF Multicast Enhancement = OFF (but willing to test ON) Multicast/Broadcast filtering = OFF Proxy ARP = OFF Same SSID for all APs (non-hidden) No VLAN separa
Hi everyone, This is a very beginner-oriented question, but I have gathered the following: Airplay 2 only supports stereo output For Dolby Atmos, one needs to use HDMI eARCMy (near future) setup is: XGIMI Horizon Ultra projector Apple TV 4K Sonos Arc Ultra (only sound output so far)My question is: in this configuration (i.e. one single output, the Sonos Arc Ultra), what do I lose if it outputs stereo sound, vs. dolby atmos? The reason behind my question is because I want to keep wiring clutter down to a minimum - and my plan currently is to connect my apple TV to the projector via HDMI, but to attempt to airplay sound to the Arc Ultra (to avoid having an HDMI cable crossing the entire room). Thanks in advance for the help, and apologies for the naïve question.
Still hoping for this update. Crazy that it is such an expensive speaker but we haven't been able to use the main driver!! Is there any way to use it yet???
Hi, I have two Sonos fives ( latest version) setup as a stereo pair, when attempting to watch the tv with the sound coming from the Sonos speakers, the vocals are really low in comparison to everything that’s happening in the movie…… is this because I need a dedicated center or is it something else that I’m doing wrong
Has anyone used The Sonos Large Round Flex Bracket (model LRDFBWW1) is specifically designed for the Sonos 8” In-Ceiling Speakers by Sonance (INCL8WW1). Hi I just moved into a new house and it came with a 2009 Speakercraft audio home system. The wires are 16 gauge and i believe it is an mzc 66 system. I bought a Sonos Amp and am trying to connect it to the speakercraft connector which is a 16bit plug covered in plastic. After calling a local professional who analyzed the photos I gave him, I was told that I need a Niles 4 room speaker selector in order to get it working. I was wondering if that is the only alternative and if so how would a 16bit plug connect to it? I’m new to Audio technology so any insight would be great appreciated.
Alguien me puede ayudar a decirme donde puedo reparar una sonos five, se me cayó y ya no prende
I’ve recently enabled Alexa on my Era 300s, with a view to replacing an existing Echo Show in the same room. I followed all the instructions for adding the skill and the voice service in the Sonos and Alexa apps, but I’m now getting a weird issue. Each time I ask Alexa to do something (change a light colour, close smart blinds, trigger a routine) it says it can’t find the device or routine - but then it does what I’ve asked it to do.Anyone who’s had a bit more experience with this type of integration able to suggest what might be the cause & solution? I’ve seen a few posts about the exact opposite (Alexa saying it’s done something without actually doing it).
Most posts on the forum are to do with issues and complaints. I thought I’d write a positive post (for once). Whilst the app is still not perfect and there’s still missing functionality (often adding a song to the queue or play next results in an error even though it works!), I’m finding it much more stable. For my particular case, even before the new app caused so many issues, I had connectivity issues resulting in delays between stopping/starting music and not finding speakers temporarily. I’ve noticed over the last few months that these issues have reduced massively. Speakers are no longer getting “lost”. Pressing play/pause is generally reactive, as is the volume control. It feels now I have a system that is usable and I don’t have to play music via spotify connect each time (it means I can now play music from my library!)I’m hoping this stability continues - having had sonos speakers for over a dozen years where they “just worked”, I’d be glad to get back to that time.
Recently bought a house with the in-ceiling speakers (Sonos architectural by sonance) in my living room. I was excited to get my surround sound setup when I was told that it would not work because I have my AMP wired into my master closet. What can I get to have the speakers in the living room work as surround sound. I’m aware I’ll probably need to buy other speakers but I wanted to get this for a Father’s Day gift.
Renovating and planning to use this room on the top floor as home theatre. The sofa has to be located where it is. There is no moving it!I was going to place two ERA 100s (maybe 300s, but I think 100s better suited for room size here) on stands at both ends of the sofa for surround (wall in front has tv, Arc and sub4). But this poses two challenges:The room isn't big and I would rather leave the sofa attached to the back wall - which means the ERAs on stand would be in line with the sofa, rather than a few inches behind it. I understand this is not optimal. Is it still a better option than not having them at all. As shown on the rendering, on the left of the sofa I have this very low, slanted ceiling which doesn't really give me much room for a stand. There is a console table on that side. Would it be stupid to be one of the 100s low on that console, and the other one on a stand on the right??Where would you put surrounds? Also, the room is small. About 12x10 ft. See floor plan below. Do
HelloI’m a strong advocate of a healthy and stable network. Not just for the sake of enhancing Sonos enjoyment but also fundamentally. That said I thought it might be helpful (for some) to talk about networking. Not as a tutorial; but from an informational point of view. Also, know that the information presented is rudimentary and not intended to cover every aspect of the subject matter. So, let’s begin…Internet Service Provider (ISP) Router vs Personal RouterIf you are network savvy whenever possible use your own router instead of the one supplied by your ISP. You’ll have greater flexibility and control over settings. As most ISP’s supply a combo Router/Modem box; when using your own router be sure to set the ISP’s provided Router Side of their box to Bridge Mode. This will eliminate a conflict of two Wi-Fi networks in your home.Network TypesTraditional: Consists of a Modem and Router either as separates or as a combined box. Mesh: Consists of a Router and one or more Satellites. Typ
Moderator Note: Google Translate- Sonos Arc Ultra HeatingI just purchased the Sonos Arc Ultra, but it's striking that it gets very hot on the back. Is it too hot to sit still? Is this normal? Can someone with one help me see if the same thing is happening, or should I ask for a warranty/return?It doesn't seem very healthy to me that it stays so hot
Hello everyone, I am pretty sure I am not the only one who is disappointed with the app that controls our beloved speakers. Personally I am super pleased with the quality of the sound, the design and the materials that were used to build the box. BUT not so much with the App. So instead of complaining, I would like to open a topic that would maybe help the Sonos App developers to find the right path. I would like to list the things that I think (from my experience) needs improvement. On iPhone App:Volume control! I have to touch 5 times at least to hit the right spot to move the scroller! And when I do the volume jumps instead of smoothly scrolls. Also the lower end of the slide is more sensitive and controls more volume than the upper end. I need a more sensitive lower end control! The vertically sliding tabs. Way too complex. I am an GUI and UI and UX designer and I personally find it difficult to manage the tabs … when they are working. I constantly adjust the EQ based on the Genre I

Since I had issues with my Move 2 and getting “access denied” when trying to play to my Move2 from music on my external hard drive attached to my router, I decided to get a state of the art router - Netgear RAXE500 and rebuild the network. Setup went well, all Sonos devices connected without any real issues. Loaded music on the external hard drive connected to the router, created the shared folder all seamlessly. Here is where the app fails. I can create a “favorite” from a specific folder on my shared drive, the app names it from that folder and I cannot change the name, I can’t add to that favorite from a different folder. To bypass that I figured I will create a playlist with all my folders and just make a “favorite” from that. Wrong… the app doesn’t let me create a playlist. My workaround was using my computer. Not only on the computer could I rename a favorite if I wanted, I was able to build my playlist, name the playlist and then send it as a favorite from there. Could NOT do th
Just noticed another bug in the playlist function , iPad version 80.21.6 OS version 85.0-64200.if you create a new playlist it will not appear in the favourites / playlist view (hence it’s unusable) until you close the app and restart it.
My app is FINALLY working correctly & now it's forcing me to update. I can no longer avoid it. It goes straight to ‘Sonos system needs a software update’ I used to be able to close it & reopen & I could still use the app as I normally did. Every time I update it gets worse & it’s been fine now for 2 mos. Anyone know any tricks to avoid the update & still have a useable app? HELP!!!
