Renovating and planning to use this room on the top floor as home theatre.
The sofa has to be located where it is. There is no moving it!
I was going to place two ERA 100s (maybe 300s, but I think 100s better suited for room size here) on stands at both ends of the sofa for surround (wall in front has tv, Arc and sub4). But this poses two challenges:
- The room isn't big and I would rather leave the sofa attached to the back wall - which means the ERAs on stand would be in line with the sofa, rather than a few inches behind it. I understand this is not optimal. Is it still a better option than not having them at all.
- As shown on the rendering, on the left of the sofa I have this very low, slanted ceiling which doesn't really give me much room for a stand. There is a console table on that side. Would it be stupid to be one of the 100s low on that console, and the other one on a stand on the right??
Where would you put surrounds?
Also, the room is small. About 12x10 ft. See floor plan below. Do you think the 300s are too much here (vs 100s)?
