Troubleshoot, tune and get the most out of your system

Before the update, Sonos worked just fine. Now, I need to restart my router, in order for Sonos to play streams from TuneIn or other radio. Otherwise I am getting the "Something went wrong" message.I shouldn't need to do this, but it looks like I have to. Why does it need a restart every day in order to work?
Is there a way to mute the microphone during below calls? Phone Call Teams Call Zoom Call
Hello, I am really hoping someone out there will be able to help. I have recently upgraded my broadband and was sent a new router, the Vodafone Ultra Hub, and am having issues connecting my Sonos speakers.I have a Beam (Gen 1) that seems to connect absolutely fine and that is also connected to my TV and works.I have two One SL’s that I use as surrounds for the Beam and for some reason they constantly drop their connection. I have hard reset all speakers multiple times to try and get it working but even though the One SL’s connect to the WiFi fine at first, if I then set up as surrounds they disconnect.I have also managed to reboot to get them appearing as surrounds correctly, only for them to lose the connection later.Vodafone support recommended I split the 6GHz to its own premium signal and that also helped but only temporarily.Sonos support recommended turning off the WiFi booster that came with the router and again that only worked temporarily. What is also weird, is that if the spe
When i ask Alexa to play music on my Spotify.. it says it cant play as i need to link on Alexa app.I have inked it and enabled the skill but still will not understand and continues to say will send a link but never does.. but the Alexa app is linked to Spotify

Hello, I had purchased a refurbished Era 300 from Sonos on 06/07/24. I have installed it with the Arc, Subwoofer g3, and another Era 300 (replacing my Ones) as surrounds. For some reason the speaker keeps flashing white and red. I have searched on numerous web forums and looked on YouTube but cannot find an answer to why this is happening. I have tried a hard reset on the speaker, taking the speaker off my system and adding on to it again several times, rebooting my WiFi but the same issue persists. Last night I played again with the system and found out the problem stopped when I turned off the microphone on the speaker. I noticed on the app the microphone was flashing on and off corresponding with the flashing lights on the speaker. I am getting sound from the speaker as it flashes. I am unsure if this is a hardware issue. I have no issues with my other Era 300.Please advise.
I’m getting some dropouts which I’d like to start chasing down, but before I do that, I’d like to get back up to speed on how Sonos should work… I thought, and it seems wrongly, that SonosNet was only used if you didn’t connect your Sonos devices to your main WiFi… Does the Mode: INFRA (sonosnet) mean it’s using it?
Hi, I hope anyone has a similar issues or noticed the same thing on their ACE (I’m hoping it’s a software issue and not hardware). Basically after testing my Sonos Ace today I’ve noticed that in my right ear (when on noise cancelling) there’s a static or buzzing sound almost like the mics for noise cancelling are not working properly (just a theory). I know it has nothing to do with my hearing as if I swap ears the disturbance can be heard in my left ear. So it’s defo a problem with the headphones. has anyone noticed this on their pair? I’m hoping it’s a software issue and maybe others have also noticed it so I don’t need to return my pair. I tried to call Support today but after I was transferred to the technical team I was left on a queue for over 50min and I gave up. please if anyone else has this issue and it’s not my pair being faulty then let me know!
I would like to play music at a family cookout in a local park. Is there a way to set up 1 or even 2 Moves?
I’ve seen this question asked a few times here over the years with varying responses. Very much a first-world problem, but here’s the situation:I got an Era 100 for a vacation property to try it out. I set it up no problem and mostly use it to play music via Alexa and Spotify or Pandora. Happy with how it worked, I bought two more, one for home and another to pair with the first Era 100.Of course, I can’t get the various skills to work on the home one. Alexa works for the Amazon-type stuff, but can’t do any skills like playing music. From what I can tell, this is an Amazon-induced problem, but I don’t do any home automation through Alexa like lights. If at all possible, I really don’t like to have to open up an app in my phone to do stuff like turn music on.So here’s the question: Am I best served going with Sonos in one house and something else like a Bose speaker in the other? My priority is to have things work the same way (i.e. I just say Alexa, do whatever, and it does it). It
Sonos Roam is not powering on. I have had it for about 2 years and it has always charged properly and powered on properly. I have switched the charging cable and charging block out and also plugged into a powered USB A charging outlet without the charging adapter and left it for awhile. The charging light never comes on. I have also tried a factory reset on it. Nothing appears to resolve the issue. Any thoughts on why it might be dead and how to resurrect it (other than what I have already tried)?
2 of my 10 Sonos amps cut out periodically

I have a “Five” speaker that needs the S1 controller app - it was all working beautifully untill a recent update of Xigmanas to v13.3.Play:5: BedroomSerial Number: 00-0E-58-5B-8C-7E:3Sonos OS: S1Version: 11.14 (build 572151190)Hardware Version: 1.16.4.1-2.0Series ID: P100IP Address: 192.168.2.26WM: 1OTP: 1.1.1(1-16-4-zp5s-0.5) This included an upgrade to the latest version of Samba.Samba have now dropped support for SMBv1 which is the cause of the problem :Question asked on Xigmanas forum :- What has changed between 13.2 and 13.3 ???Samba is upgraded to 4.19.7 so it refuses SMBv1 connection attempts. You'll either have to upgrade your Sonos device or keep your xigmanas at 13.2Is there any chance of S1 being udated to use a higher version of Samba ???? Otherwise it renders my ”Five” useless as I must keep the NAS up to date.Dave
Started about a year ago. Found a matching thread here but was not ever resolved. So thought maybe someone has an update? it used to work fine and I haven’t moved anything since from before it stopped working. i can use the Apple TV remote and it does move the volume perfectly. thanks for looking!
Hello! anyone else still having the problem with the headphones not charging even after the uppdate that was supposed to fix the issue? Only way for me to charge is to factory reset the headphones.. I even bought a new usb-c 15w adapter to see if my other adapter was the problem but that didnt fix it.. frustrating as hell..
How do I add a playlist to the end of queue of another playlist. It used to be so easy.
Hello,I have been using the system for several months (there were no problems and I was satisfied) and a few days ago a problem occurred. I haven't changed the network settings or anything in the Sonos system settings. Suddenly the speakers would not turn on and after a while they were not available in the system.Standard procedures don't work. I am able to reset the speakers and add them again. However, it succeeds the first time. No additional (second) speakers can be successfully added to the system. It goes through the detection procedure, identification sounds, and when the screen for joining the Wi-Fi network appears, the procedure is interrupted. A message appears from the Sonos application that the speaker is added - but it may not be visible and you need to turn it off/on. Then the application displays another window to add the same speaker to the system when it is restarted. However, then you cannot reach the window with the identification sounds because the loudspeaker does
I just found out that SONOS had an app update and I was fine with it hoping to see connection updates or any UI improvements. When I open the app, everything was gone including services, systems, and other features. Why'd they release an app update when everything isn't even working properly? I can't even connect any services, ie. Spotify or SoundCloud. Anyone got any suggestions? Samsung S20 FE btw. I managed to connect to my Symfonisks but only through the Spotify app. Also, the UI is very laggy and glitchy. SONOS if you see this, bring back the old S2. At least it works.
I believe that Sonos updates are deleting my Music Library settings. It takes a considerable amount of time to “rebuild” my Sonos > Music Library and the Music Library is something that I value a lot. I listen to albums (1500+) and playlists from my Apple Music on a regular basis. Is anyone else having this issue?
Aloha:I have an Arc home theater setup including the Arc, 2ea of the Era 300, and a gen 1 and gen 3 sub. All are connected in one room and have been working great for a while connected to an TCL TV via eARC and source is Apple TV 4K, just recently though there have been issues to with sound from YouTubeTV and Netflix being muffled and unintelligible; without the closed captioning there isn’t really any way to know what they’re saying. All devices have been updated: Apple TV, TCL TV, Sonos; and power cycled.I am not sure if it is specific codecs that the Sonos system is having difficulty with as not all programs on YouTubeTV or Netflix experience the issue. In lieu of a fix, I have been forced to AirPlay to the Sonos system which I am sure takes away many of the benefits when the source is played via HDMI as originally setup.Any help would be very much appreciated.Mahalo,Kuni
In Sonos Android versions prior to v80, the app would have a service running in the background and a notification in the notification bar at all times that allowed for seamless switching & pausing of songs and also allowed for volumes changes on the fly, eliminating the need to go into the app and change it. After v80, it's been taken away, and the background service is also gone, forcing the app to reboot if the phone ever closes it for RAM optimization, which makes the user wait a long time for the app to start and connect to the system. My biggest gripe with the notification being gone, above all, is the fact that without it, I can't scrobble using Pano Scrobbler, as it requires an active notification. Can we get the controller notification & service back soon, please? I don't want to hold on to the old Sonos versions to avoid being without something that shouldn't have been taken away in the first place.
I have two Sonos five in one room. 1 got disconnected from my system due to lost electricity. now it’s only flashing with an white sign and is not reachable in any way. Connected a wire to the router but it hasn’t helped out. Tried to reset it through holding th button on the back while plugging the cable but without response. What should I do???
