Will my ARC fit in front of my shelf factory base? If not what do you recommend I lift the base with?
Can’t get sound to come through Sony KD75X81KU when connected to Sonos AMP. Tried switching to TV speaker in settings but automatically goes to Sonos Audio system.
Can anyone confirm BOX weight of Sonos Era 300 x2 (pair) . Both stands comes in one box. Need to deliver it to Pakistan.
I have a reasonably large music collection (MP3s) which I copied off CD a long time ago and I’m just cleaning up the file metadata and image art but I’m having trouble locating a few tracks within my collection. At some point in the past iTunes tried to “help” sort my music collection for me and filed things in strange places only known to apple (eg compilations folders etc )I can see the track on the sonos system, but am unable to locate them on the file system and would like to get them back into a more sensible filing system.(Searching the file system is ridiculously slow given the music library size)Question:Is there a way to see the track location under track info? (I can obviously find it)Feature Request:If there isn’t a way to see the track location, it would be nice to see this feature added. When you need it it would be a helpful little feature and probably not overly hard to implement.
I know that the front tweeter is disengaged when the Era 300s are set up as rear speakers in a surround sound configuration (which needs to be changed for stereo music playback) but a big issue I have is when playing regular TV only one of the two side tweeters are working. And the tweeters that are working on each speaker are the ones pointed out and not in towards my listening/sitting position. This seems backwards. I’ve tried to set it up three times with no change. Is this correct??? Also there has to be a way for the front firing tweeter to be used when playing stereo music. For stereo music I much prefer the sound of my ones as rear speakers and it’s not even close. It also seems like my SUB is outputting a lot less sound as well since I added my era 300s no matter if I’m playing a movie or listening to music. Can someone at Sonos address this? I appreciate any help as when they are playing Dolby Atmos content they are amazing for music and movies.
Hello. Good morning. I wanted to make the following query: I have a Sonos audio system made up of: sound bar Ray, two Sonos One rear speakers and the Sonos submini. I wanted to incorporate an Era 300 into that system to have the Dolby Atmos experience. Is it possible? And where would it be better to place it? It is a small room of no more than 8m2. Thank you for your attention. Best regards.
So I recently uninstalled the Sonos Desktop app for my windows 11 laptop after I noticed it was not opening properly (it would hang on the Sonos logo startup). Now, I have been attempting to reinstall it and I get this message: Any ideas on how to resolve this error?
On my Samsung smart TV under the Sonos icon, there are about SIX folders that popped up for music, photos, etc. I don’t want these folders there. HOW do I delete them? Anyone know? Help!!!
Hi Sonos Hivemind, I am just wondering if there is any benefit to linking 2 Sonos products together by Ethernet, but not to the Wi-Fi router. For instances, if I connected my Arc to my Sub by their ethernet ports, would it potentially improve their Wi-Fi connection and/or pairing? Similarly would linking a Boost to a speaker by ethernet improve signal receipt? Thank you in advance for your help.
Got a new Sonos Move and can add it to house system no problem. Within 2-3 minutes of playback, it will no longer be available in the system screen and pop up a “Error 1001” when trying to change song/anything in the Sonos app despite still playing original track (using Spotify as the source). Have factory reset it + added it back into the system more than a dozen times, restarted our wifi/router, etc. Nothing works and it drops out/isn’t recognized within minutes. I just added a Sub Mini to our system the same day we got both and it’s had absolutely no issues. I also have a S1 Play5 gen 1 on our network for my office and am wondering if that’s throwing things off? It’s on a completely separate system, but is the only anomaly I can think of. Or the boost that the rest of the system is on?Setup:Move 6x Play1 (g1+g2) in various rooms/surround/stereo setups 1x Sub mini 1x beam 1x Play5 (g2) 1x boost 1x S1 Play5 (g1) on separate S1 system (3.5mm plug in only)TYIA for any and all help! I have a Sonos Sub - Gen 1, and 2 Play 5 - Gen 2’s. The Sub will happily connect to both but only produces any sound with one of them - the one not in the room where I need it. Any ideas why a Sub will connect to a Play 5 but not produce any sound? I could reset and move / rename the speakers but I know this will have a problem with my smart home set up so the ideal solution for me would be to get the Sub producing sound on the speaker I need it to. Thanks - and hope someone can help
I have 2 roams bought in usa 1 is located in uk home and other in spainish home the rest of my sonos i gen 1 ….My problem is the drop off is horrendous in both locations so is there an issue with the roam or is ther somthing i can do to stop it….also while im here i feel that after a short time if i paired roam to tv it resets and have to group every time again is there an answer
I am planning on running a 75 foot Fiber Optic HDMI cable between my patio TV’s ARC input and my Sonos Amp inside. The cable I bought is unidirectional and so the side you hook up to what is important. My electrician will be running this through the walls so don’t want to make a mistake. I have 2 sides, one says “Source” and one says “Display”. In my case, I am not passing video so I am a bit confused as the TV can be the source and the display. I believe the “Display” side should be the TV in this case but want to triple check with anyone who has run this sort of configuration before
I recently changed my Wi-Fi password and Sonos can’t connect now. I’ve tried the steps the app suggests, and when it comes to writing the new password, it says Sonos cannot connect even with the new password typed.if I try to just “add new device” - the devices simply do not appear. have lost 3 hours trying and nothing. Tried to reset the app, that also did not work. haven’t changed anything else on my router (all same equipment and network) - and nothing. any ideas?
Sonos Controller for Mac: version 15.4, Sonos OS: S2When I attempt to add a service, the app applies a hard-coded email address to sign into sonos.com. It is the wrong address and not the one in my account settings, but I see no way to change it.
I don’t have an actual NAS. I do have a laptop with 11,000+ high res tracks (my music library). I do not use any cloud music anything (nor will I).I also do not not (and will not) run the Sonos app on my laptop. So, idea is to add my laptop to Sonos as a NAS from Android. Something like the solution presented here.If I share my \music\ folder on my laptop, can this be done?Specifically:Music library on a Windows file share Control the Sonos from my Android phone(s) Please advise
Stop working 24 hrs ago. There is an orange & green light flashing. Unable to shot it off. Unable to charge it. Bought it on 2021.
Hi. My Sonos system consists of a Connect Amp wired up to non-Sonos speakers and a Play 1. Both have been working fine on the S2 app until a few weeks ago the app informed me that the Amp required a software update. The update didn’t work and I got a 1013 message. Since then I’ve tried all the different things suggested re. the 1013 message and spent an hour on the phone with Sonos trying to resolve it.I realise one possibility is that my Connect Amp is no longer supported by Sonos. However I don’t know this for sure - I’m not sure which “Gen” my Amp is. One of the things I tried, though, was to downgrade the Amp from S2 to S1. However when I did so the S1 app didn’t appear to be able to connect the Amp.I have now tried again with the S2 app. The system appears to recognise the Connect Amp. However now on my system the Connect is showing as “Not connected” but every time I try to resolve this all my app says is “All products seem available”. The Connect Amp is no longer showing as regi
Hello and thank you in advance for your input. The title says it all: Can I use one Sonos Amp to power 2 in ceiling architectural speakers playing in stereo for one room, then use the same amp to power 4 in wall architectural speakers. Each one will be placed in a different room: one in wall speaker per room. THX 🙏🏼
So I’ve got several Sonos speakers through the house and the Sonosnet ones are struggling with lossless multiroom, so I’m buying a Boost to help solve that. I’ve got 3 wifi only speakers, 5 on Sonosnet and an Arc SL that’s hard wired to ethernet currently.I’m on a Unifi network.Should I unplug the Arc SL and only have the Boost connected to the Unifi network via Ethernet to avoid network problems? Thanks
Hi guys,Got a Playbar connected to TV and the Sub connected but trying to work out how to connect my 2 Era 300’s as rear surround sound speakers but can’t work out how to do it.I’ve set them up and thought I’d added them to the ‘living room’ where the Playbar and Sub are connected in the app but the only option I’m given in that room is to add the Amp as surrounds which seems weird. In the App I’ve now got the following but can’t work out how to have the Playbar, Sub and 2 Era 300’s working together:Rooms (since adding)Living Room (+Sub) which has the Playbar Living Room (L&R) which has the Era 300’s Living Room (Fives) (L&R)Not massively worried about adding the Fives as use those for music more than anything but surely there must be a way of adding the Era 300’s into my TV sound setup?I hope someone can help as doing my head in! 😉Cheers,Jon
Actually, I’ve a configuration with 2 x Play5 & 1 x Sub for Room1. It works well 👍I would now be able to use 1 of these Play5 in another configuration (for example outside). Idea is simple, disconnect (Power Off) of the Play5 … move it (outside for ex) - Power On - choose instead Room1, Outside on my Sonos Apps and be able to hear music through the Play5.I didn’t really search … but do you see a way to do it ? Thanks 😊
I have purchased 2x era 300 speakers but could not totally use them as had no stands, now that the stands have arrived I cannot use them as the footprint of the stand bases are too large so cannot use this type of speaker what can I do with 2 speakers as cannot be used in my room?
Why can I only play one Sonos one at a time?
Hey all,So I'm about to add two 300's to my Arc+Sub setup and now investigating how to setup the sound settings. Can someone advise on how should I setup the Trueplay and sound settings considering that instead of a wall, my apartment's left seating position wall is actually a glass door exiting to the porch?Should I use trueplay with the glass door open or shut? any thoughts around that? I wouldn’t want to tampre with settings but rather go with something that would work when both open or shut. (If that’s even possible).Regarding configuration - any advice on an approach to set it correctly for my space? I'm hesitant to go with Peter Pee's recommendations as his setup is set for a completely different acoustics than mine.Cheers for your help
