I have a Sonos Amp that is connected to the speaker selector https://pyleusa.com/products/pslsw6which is hardwired with 4 pair of speakers https://www.artsound.be/en/speakers/inwall-loudspeakers/happi/80-hpro650Although the connections seem to be okay, there is no sound. Do you have any suggestions ?
Moderator edit:Google Translate-I needed to change the password on my TuneIn account. It worked without a problem. But when I tried to use the TuneIn(new) app in the Sonos app on my iPad, it required me to reauthorize. Which is reasonable. But the app then didn't allow this even though TuneIn approved my new account details.I tried to solve it by deleting the app and reinstalling it. But I was not allowed to install the app. Then I left my iPad and tried the same thing with my Samsung phone. An
Having a right terrible time with Sonos Can some one please tell me exactly what I need to do as I’m no techie the tech side say I must do “A network switch with an IGMP Snooping option will be the solution “ this means nothing to me. please help fromsonosThanks for following up with me.I completely agree, the devices within are very common. Though we are reporting Network Flooding outwith our connections. While the issues are experienced on Sonos, they're originating from the network. The Network speed and bandwidth have zero impact here.A network switch with an IGMP Snooping option will be the fix. I'll be more than happy to arrange a time to call but have very little further to add at this time. We must reduce the flooding and then combat the high amount of wireless interference. thanks ! As I’m about to dump the lot of it doesn’t work !! 14 speakers Really poor of Sonos to not work
Today I removed connection to Sonos from the Google Home app (I have 9 speakers). I added it again in the Google Home app and it all worked. At this point i noticed that a few of my speakers had Google assistant missing. I tried to add it from the Sonos app, and it did not work. I decided to remove the connection from Google Home app and re-add it, and this failed with the following error message: "Register your speakersYou need to link speakers to your myemail@hotmail.com Sonos account before you can add this skill.Go to More > Settings > Account Settings in the Sonos app. (If you don't see Sonos Account, your Sonos system needs an update.)" I have the system working with all the speakers and thet seem registered on the Sonos webpage.I have tried everything. Rebooted my network totally, rebooted my sonos system, deleted and re-created my home in Google home, but it all results in the same error. The Sonos tech support guy in the chat told me to remove all Sonos devices from Goog
Hi all I’ve had a playbar and sub set up for a few years now and have decided to upgrade the playbar to the arc, however I have noticed the music play back on the arc is not as good as the playbar was, the Dolby atmos works fantastic and can’t fault it, I just feel that if I had known the music playback on the arc was not as good as the playbar I would have not upgraded, I just kinda thought music play back on the arc would be as good if not better than the playbar. I suppose it’s just a case of getting used to it and using the playbar in another room in the house. Does everyone else think this or is it just me??
Hi Folks: I have a Sonos Move that I have renamed now countless times. Is there some step that I am missing to do this successfully? After a couple of days, it just defaults to its old location name. So far I have:Renamed it under System → Products Formatted the speaker and set it back up. It then somehow shows up again as Living Room Sonos instead of Main Bedroom. The latter is where I want it. I have removed and added back the entire system. I logged into Sonos.com and then speaker is still named Living Room Sonos, which is not what I labelled it as during the new setup process. It’s a minor detail but throws every person who I show to log in. I would rather not be saying “look for the living room sonos with a battery indicator”. Thoughts or ways to correct the issue?
Hi there, I’ve seen a thread that covers off my challenge - but it was started years ago, and regardless, never seems to have been resolved. Given the adoption of Starlink as an ISP, it might be time to revisit.SITUATION: I’m using the Starlink Mesh - 2 nodes - router and mesh (yes I’ve seen some challenges using Starlink with SONOS, but I’ve run into no problem- and generally it works ‘great’), but when I try to tie SONOS units together ‘play everywhere’ or attempt to join in units in other parts of the house - being serviced but the mesh node - I'm presented with the “Wireless range extender” error. Those units connected to the mesh node do not play. I live in a large house, with plaster and lathe walls, and NO consumer router can provide enough coverage - hence the mesh. I did previously use the Google Mesh - but with the change in ISP, would prefer just to use the OEM router and mesh system. QUESTION: Does anyone know if there’s a workaround/solution to this (other than usi
I have at least 12 sonos products and when they work it’s lovely, but really they are so glitchy it’s really annoying, I presume you’ve used the industry standard of premeditated obsolescence well you’ve lost me in future.
I have raised this issue multiple times. Numerous users have also raised the issue. The Sonos App is clumsy, complicated, counterintuitive to use. Most importantly, IT DOES NOT WORK. It keep losing connection. I want Sonos support to stop telling me that it is because of my devices or my Wifi set-up. It is not. It is because the Sonos App is badly coded, full of bugs and quite frankly the worst I have tried of all music app, by a long shot. The hardware is fantastic. The software is simply shameful. Sonos. PLEASE FIX IT.
always issues when connecting my barely used Play 3. I have absolutely no problem with Bose: none...Sonos...Oh! for goodness sake…. I have tried delating the old App and downloading a new one. Tried everything a seventy year old technophobe can do ...it’s beyond meThis whole issue of connecting is utterly clunky. Sonos get your perishing act together!!!!! Waste of money!
I suddenly lost all music services and was not able to even re-add any. I read a bunch of possible solutions such as rebooting the router, reinstalling the app etc. I opted for the simplest solution which was to simply reboot the Sonos system. Now I have 8 Sonos amps not a play speaker so not necessarily that easy I thought. But all I did was unplug one and plug it back in. Waited 1 minute for it to fully reboot. Magically all services magically reappeared.
How are people playing Amazon Music Unlimited through Sonos? All I can manage to get on the S2 app is the Free, Prime version. I called Amazon support and was told that S2 doesn't support Unlimited, that I can only cast to a Sonos speaker that has Bluetooth or Alexa. If that's true, that's nuts. It seems that others here do use Unlimited on Sonos, but I can't see how. I do subscribe to Unlimited, 10 bucks per month, but can only listen on my pc, phone or tablet and only using the Amazon App, not S2.
Just like the Surround Audio has TV Level and Music Level controls, I would like Sub Audio to have TV Level and Music Level controls, instead of just one Sub Level control. In my setup, the kick and bass of music sounds very boomy, while the low frequencies of my TV seem less apparent. I need independent control of Sub Level for TV vs Music.
Good Evening to everybody🫶 Anyone heard any rumors of what Sonos will be release in 2024? When(date) are these items “suppose” to be announced? And what do you guys&girls thinks gonna come? Be Well🙏
I purchased my first Sonos system a couple weeks back, a pair of Era 100s and a Sub Mini. It’s a single use-case setup: music. Initial setup and configuration was a breeze: I have the Era 100s configured as a stereo pair, added the Sub Mini and ran the Trueplay advanced tuning. Overall, very impressed.I noticed that the Sub Gen3 was on sale, so I wanted to A/B the system sound using the Sub Gen 3 vs. the Sub Mini. The problems:When I removed the Sub Mini from my room, it also broke my stereo pair, moving one of my Era 100 speakers into a random “Bedroom 2”. When I went to move the Era 100 from the random “Bedroom 2” location to my custom-named room “Master Bedroom” - “Master Bedroom” did not appear as an option in the list of rooms to which I could move the speaker. The expectations:When removing a sub from a system in a particular room, the app shouldn’t automatically break up the stereo pair and start moving speakers into other rooms. When configuring a setup in a room, if a custom-na
My ARC has worked perfectly, then most recently along with many others, it stopped connecting to my TV. It is also effecting the rest of my Sonos “rooms” because when I unplug the arc everything works.spent over 4 hours on back to back days with Sonos and troubleshooting. That is literally a day of work. Now they sent a refurbished replacement which had the same issue prior to being refurbished. Can’t have a conversation with anyone about this, just emails back and forth every couple days.
I just purchased a new ERA 300 knowing it was voice enabled, I had no idea that Sonos had dropped Google. So now I have 19 speakers in my house that use Google and 1 that can’t. Who is responsible for the product road map at Sonos, what a joke. I was going to replace 9 One’s with ERA 100’s, that can’t happen now. I guess this will end my relationship with Sonos. I have Nest Cameras and Doorbells at my house and if you don’t use Google the chime will not go to your voice enabled speakers. Does Sonos consider these issues when they develop their products? What a total lack of consistency and professionalism.
I have spent almost 3 hours on with Sonos support to resolve the issue. A few months ago, S1 app stopped playing music apps and it says “unable to play selected item”. I have tried Audible, SiriusXM, and Pandora. I was able to control via a Sonos One on the system with alexa, but then that stopped. So, I removed the Sonos One from the system and just left the S1 only devices. Now - they don’t do ANYTHING. 3 hours on phone and chat and now SONOS is telling me it isn’t their problem. They told me that I need to call every service and have them fix the services compatibility with the S1 app. NOTE: this is also an issue with controlling the sonos speakers with my computer. I am sorry, but this doesn’t seem like an issue for amazon and pandora and I do not think I need to call each one of them individually. This issue has been brought up many times on this community chat and SONOS has yet to address it. If sonos could just be upfront and say - this is it - these speakers you sp
Sonos claims that Bluetooth wireless headphones are not compatibility with Sonos. However, there is legitimate-looking info on the web stating Sonos will work with BT headphones via a BT transmitter device plugged into a Connect box.Does anyone have experience with making this setup work?
Hi community, I seem to have a problem, and I am not the only one. When I’m watching a YouTube video, I sometimes have no sound anymore if I switch to an other app or put T he hdmi input for the PS5, and than back to the YouTube app with the same YouTube video exactly where I left it off. Usually I have to kill the YouTube app on the tv and than it works, but sometimes also not. The Sonos app says that it’s still playing sound from the tv so that’s not it. I’m getting a bit tired from this since I paid lots of money for my setup and every time something happens, software related. Guess my friend was right by telling me Sonos always has software issues. Anyone knows a solution? Other people think that it might be caused by playing Dolby atmos sound and than switching back to normal sound. But the soundbar should be able to switch back no?
As a TV Viewer, I would like Sonos to pair my speaks for Surround sound. As a Turntable Listener, I would like Sonos to accept input from ‘Line-in’ and send it to the other speakers. As both, I would like the ability to have the Sonos automatically configure to my current mode, similar to most other high-fi units.
People keep posting their frustration with trying to configure Sonos to use a Linux shared music folder as the music library. With my recent update to Ubuntu 22.04, my Sonos system stopped being able to read the Linux shared folder. But I actually did find a configuration that revived access. With recent Linux kernels dropping old authentication protocols, the frustration goes beyond the Sonos community.https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215375#c43This goes into the [global] section of your Linux server’s /etc/samba/smb.conf:# Allow old client devices (e.g. Sonos) to connect to this machine's samba sever server min protocol = NT1 lm announce = yes lanman auth = yes ntlm auth = yes# Allow samba client tools to be able to connect to old servers/nas devices# (e.g. Apple TimeCapsule) client min protocol = NT1 client ntlmv2 auth = no client use spnego = no client lanman auth = yes
So just received an email that new Sonance in-wall speakers are coming soon. When I clicked on it it said 8” were “new”. I thought they always had 8” round speakers. Is this is or is their more? I am looking for a set of rear in ceiling speakers for my Arc/Sub 3 set up (no option to put stands and speakers in the back. Hoping for something that incorporates Atmos into the new speaker set up. What is the news?
I had problem with my Sonos app losing connection with all speakers every few days. Had to go through the reconnection including switching off router multiple times to find them again. I have a playbar , subwoofer, play 3 and play 1. I had a Google mesh with Virgin router in modem mode but changed to TP-Link Deco 6e thinking it would improve but it got worse.i tried all solutions on the forum, turned off guest network, turned off 5g , wired playbar direct to the primary router and spent 2.5 hours on the phone with support. These led only to brief connections. I then moved my primary Deco6e router 4 metres away from the playbar and have now had no lost connections for 4 weeks. I would suggest trying this simple solution before the other more technical answers. Seems that interference was the main issue.
