Is there a fix for this? Diagnostic code has been sent. No one accessed the Sonos app or any other app to cause this to occur. Sonos Live radio blasted salsa music through the speaker all on its own, to the displeasure of all my neighbors. Chat support was worthless, only resulted in setting a volume limit so that when their system does it again, it won’t be as obnoxious. Moderator Edit - Removed and recorded diagnostic number.
Who the f*** do you think you are charging nearly 500 pounds per speaker and sending updates that degrade the performance of my speakers that mean I have to pay allsorts of money to upgrade to ultra speakers to get the same performance as I was with normal play 5s, you are f****** con men and I'm going to sue you pieces of s*** Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct
Ok, I might have an unfixable problem leading to throwing everything out the window. The setup: 4 x Era 300 + 1 Sub Gen. 3 All I want is the possibility to have them all working as 1 system that would show up as 1 system when someone connected to the WiFi wants to play something over the speakers. Why is this not possible? Why can’t the Sub just be added to a zone? I’ve grouped all 4 speakers, but on Android (Spotify) they still show as 4 different speakers and you can’t group them. I my particular scenario, I don’t want people that have to use the system install the Sonos app. I just want a simple working system. Is that really not possible? The particular space where the speakers are installed is used for different kinds of events where the participants must use the speakers with their phones/laptops/tablets.
Jeg har stadig problemet Hvornår bliver det løst eller skulle det være løst
Hello fellow Sonos people,I am considering purchase of Sonos Arc Ultra and the Ultra Wall Mount. The plan will be to wall mount the Arc below the TV say 2 - 4”. I am in process of building new home and planning with the builder/electrician for power and cabling but ran into a snag so need help. Anyone have suggestions on what I can share with the electrician on suitable wall mounting such that both power and HDMI are concealed from view? The electrician was suggesting standard size wall plate with pass through brush, fishing cables after drywall or install power outlet plate and separate pass through brush plate flush with drywall. My concern is the Arc Ultra profile is so thin at 3” that a standard wall plate, even rotated horizontally, will still be visible and unsightly on the living room wall. Not to mention flush with wall there is no space in back for power (the HDMI cable could sneak through the brush plate but standard plates again are oversized compared to Arc Ultra). I
Android latest versionSamsung S25 Ultra When setting alarm time, keypad isn't staying on screen which prevents entry of the numbers.
I have a new ARC Ultra and a new Sony Bravia XR8C TV. There are no other HDMI devices connected to the TV, only the ARC ultra which is connected to the ARC input (HDMI 3). CEC (Sony Bravia Sync) is turned on and working on the TV and Sonos ARC Ultra is listed in the Bravia Sync devices list. Both the TV and the ARC Ultra are updated to the latest software. Both the TV and the ARC Ultra have a hard wired network connection. In the Sonos App, TV Autoplay and Ungroup on Autoplay are turned on. The only other Sonos in the system is a Sonos Beam connected to the Master Bedroom which is working good. The problem is with the Sonos ARC Ultra. It works fine for playing music. If I have been watching TV and turn it off, when I turn it back later, I have no sound. If I go into the App, it says TV (HDMI) is what is selected for the ARC but there is no sound. The only way I have found to make it work is select Music then change back to TV in the App; after that the TV sound is fine. I
I recently got an Era 100 and I’m loving the sound quality, especially with Spotify lossless over Spotify Connect. But I’ve hit a frustrating usability issue that I think affects a lot of iPhone users. The Problem:When streaming via Spotify Connect (which gives me lossless audio), I can’t use my iPhone’s hardware volume buttons to control the speaker. I know this is because of Apple’s iOS restrictions - they only let volume buttons work for apps that play audio on the device itself, not “remote control” apps like the Sonos app. This means I’m constantly choosing between: ∙ Bluetooth: Instant hardware button control, but compressed audio ∙ Spotify Connect: Lossless quality, but no hardware volume buttonsProposed Solution:What if the Era 100 could use both connections simultaneously? ∙ WiFi (Spotify Connect): Handles the audio stream (lossless quality) ∙ Bluetooth (HID profile): Handles control signals only (play/pause/volume)Why This Would Work:The Era 100 already
Advice would be appreciated please because some of my Apple Music library is not available on my Beam 2.
This is a no Brainerr to program to individually adjust the volume for each speaker whilie setting up an alarm.Very easily to program while setting up an alarm to select a individual speaker with sound adjustment.
This post is meant to help someone who purchased a used Sonos play 5 gen 1 and could not get it to work. the troubleshooting steps I followed from posts or the AI generated ones did not help because they were not clear. What worked for me is given below. first : I made the mistake of just connecting the Sonos to the app. It dint like it, it immediately said it belonged to someone else with the old users email (redacted). Second step I did was attempt to factory reset it. Uff this was painful because I was an idiot and followed the instructions. It said to remove the power cable and hold the play/pause button and plug it in to power on until orange and white flashes. This never happened because I was actually pressing the play pause button ( the capacitive button on the top or side depending on how you placed your speakers vertically or sideways). I discovered by pure trial and error that the button is at the back (physical button). That’s what you need to keep holding while you plug
Hello, juste upgrade to last update sonos arc ultra, bass cut in e half, its already + 4, music its flat i don’t like how it sound!Thank youNetBlue
Hello,Happy owner of several Sonos speakers I just bought a CD player, the FiiO DM13 BT, to be able to use again my old CDs.I succeeded to connect the player to my Move 2 or an Era 100 via BT but any sound from the speakers…Do you think I have to use the Sonos PORT with this CD player to be able to enjoy my CDs ?(I have a lot of them already ripped in my NAS but still have others...)TIA
Recenty retired from working in IT for 35 Years and received a Sonos Arch and Sub about 4 years ago, Great sounding great hardware and sincerely appreciate the gift. Now lets discuss the applications lack of quality, confusing applications. The Android App should open all the sustem sound controls when first opened, nothing more is more important instead it looks like a hurricaine tore thru the application and scattered all the settings with little or no thought about where all should be. Windows App - Again while a little better it looks like they thru it in a blender and someone turned it on low for 30 seconds. Seems they never followed what the Developer had dislexia and the Company never took a look at it from what the users would prefer. Very disappointing all along and after 15 years it still is another disorganized mess. While they want everyones cash they might get some if they took a look at spotify or Tidal to see a what a music app should look like and put all the controls in
The era 100 has a serious manufacturing issues. I have 3 in a row and grills start randomly cracking and falling apart. They have replaced defective speakers but I don’t believe they have fixed the manufacturing issues. The quality is simply not the same with these speakers.
Hello,I know the Sonos App now allows setup and TruePlay for inverted, ceiling mounted Era 300s for surround. My questions is related to their placement. I have a few variables coming into play and I’m trying to decide what is best. Was hoping to get some thoughts.I have purchased a couple Flexson ceiling mounts that come down what look to be 6 inches or so. My main issue is a support beam running right around where I’d like to place the Era 300s. Would I be okay placing them just in front of the beam if I can angle the speakers slightly down or would they be too far forward with how high they are? I’m just not sure the mounts hold the speakers low enough to place them behind the beam and it not get in the way. I could potentially add some wood to the bottom of the joists to lower the speakers more if I need to go behind though.Ceiling is about 9ft from the bottom of the joistsA few photos have been provided to show my setup. Thanks!
I take care of elderly parents, and I love music in the kitchen. I purchased a pair of Era 100 speakers to get me moving while working in the kitchen. As you can see from the picture, my parents are clutter bugs, which leaves no sonically clean areas below the speakers and no real place to mount them other than fairly high on the wall. I think just to the left of the slide door opening, about the height of the opening is the best place to mount the Right speaker. The left would go roughly equal distance from the side wall, at the same height. The floor is hard, ceramic tile, and the ceiling opens for a skylight about 4’ in front of the wall. The counter where I took the picture is 8-10 feet from the wall.Normally, Sonos recommends mounting the Era 100 upright around eye height and inverted when higher. I suspect the speakers will sound better upright at about 6’ off the floor so sound can bounce off the ceiling rather than be absorbed by all the “stuff” along the wall.It is not my home,
Hi,I was unable to add any of the live radio of Radio France on the Android or iOS app.I always get an error. But, I could add these radio to the favorites, thanks to the Windows desktop app (https://support.sonos.com/fr-fr/downloads) See :
Hello,I was using “les Indés Radios” services, but now I get the message "Unable to browse radio."I've deleted and re-added the service, but I still get the same message.I'm completely up to date.I installed the service from the list provided by Sonos. How can I use “Les Indés Radios” service on Sonos?
I’ve been suffering for 2 years with intermittent choppy audio via HDMI ARC on my Sonos AMP. Swapped cables, tried short cable extenders nothing helped. Sometime it would go for weeks and then start - I’d power cycle TV and Amp no joy.Came across this post: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/arc-loose-hdmi-6877144 I thought what the hell I’ll try it. Well it worked. I sliced 3 mm of the shell around the HDMI connector - plugged it back in and BAM - problem solved.
Hello,I have a Sonos setup at the office and I installed Sonos Radio. But with my setup at home (with the same account) I cannot add Sonos Radio (the button to install the service is not present). It is like it’s already installed but it is not.Did you encountered this issue?
Hi! After reading different posts, I’m trying to use SVC to forget the app missing features, like the phone-locked controls. Thanks to @nik9669a for his suggestion and details, because I thought SVC also sent my conversations to the cloud and it seems it doesn’t.During my first hours trying, I’ve to say that it understands my Spanish-accent English good enough for simple commands. I can turn on the TV and rise the volume, but for me is not natural, as English is not my mother tongue. Also, he (Esposito) never understands the names of my playlists, because they are in Spanish and plays whatever crosses his electronic mind. I’m discovering interesting and very unknown music, by the way 😅, but it is not the topic. So, I kindly ask Sonos to include Spanish as a new language to speak with SVC. To support that request I’ve to say that Spanish is the second language spoken on Earth (native language) after Mndarin Chinese. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_sp
I just bought a new sonos speaker the Era 100, i already had the Sonos One gen2, when i try to set an alarm from the app it immediately cancels out, not even a nanosecond and it’s gone idk what’s wrong.i bought the a new Era 100 and same issue with the sono one gen 2 i don’t even know what’s wrong to say im speechless. i have tried everything resetting the speakers the app everything.
I have a very unusual open layout living room that we are currently renovating. Originally my plan was to put 8” ceiling speakers in to act as rear surrounds for an Arc Ultra + Sub. However after opening up the ceiling we found that there is only space for 6” speakers between the joists in the ceiling. Additionally the gap between the joists for the placement that I had thought would be best for the left speaker we ended up being too tight to even install the 6” so it would require relocating it 2’ to the right. I’m wondering if it is worth doing this placement with the left speaker being much more central than I would have liked and not being symmetrical with the center of the TV to the right speaker. I could also move the right speaker in to make them both equidistant from the center of the TV. However given this I was considering alternatives and thought about ceiling mounting 2 Era 300s instead of the In-Ceiling speakers. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for this lay
Persistent system problems. The beauty of Sonos since I bought my first speaker over 10 years ago was that after setup it just worked. Now it’s a lottery every time I open the app whether the system will be recognised and it takes an inordinate amount of time to do so. Today I wanted a quick listen to a radio show but more than one minute after opening the app there was still no sign of my system and gave up. When it does eventually recognise the system and I start to play some speakers are completely silent and then burst into life halfway through a song randomly. I have reset the speakers too many times, factory resets etc. the environment hasn’t changed - the wifi hasn’t changed. Sonos left me which reluctantly means I have to stop buying Sonos products. The very thing that makes it good has gone which was the usp.
