I used to be able to listen to podcast via spotify connect (aka direct control in sonos lingo) on my s2 system. Since about 3 months every time i choose one of my speakers in the Spotify app - spotify tries to connect for about 1 minute and then reverts back to playing from the phone.Streaming music from spotify connect works fine.I have not changed anything in my setup and i have the latest versions of Spotify and Sonos. What can be wrong?

Hello everybody,Since the new app deployment in may, i had to wait several monthes to be able just to see my playlits in the app.Now i can see and play them but, several monthes after, and despite “hundred of engineers working to improve the this app” (dixit director of innovation) i still can not modify them !Sonos help seems to avoid dealing with that.My app is IOs app.Do some of you find a way to add/suppress titles in playslists ?Thanks for help.Emmanuel.

I'm trying to sign up for sonos radio hd but I get an error saying I don't have an eligible product attached to my account. I have a bunch of ERA 100s. Are these not eligible? If not, what is? Thanks

Hello!I am a very happy Sonos user and have recently been importing music files onto my computer so that i can have them directly on my phone. I am trying to add these files to Sonos and am getting a 1002 error. Thank you!

Why does the Amazon playlist not display? I switched from Spotify which showed the playlist and allowed you to start on any song, and only played the playlist in entirety. Amazon displays nothing, chooses where it starts and plays its own choices when it gets to the end of the playlist…..any suggestions? Thanks

Hello,I have been using my amazon music subscription through my Sonos One without any issues, up until about a week ago. Now every time I ask it to play a specific song, it will say it is going to play a radio station similar to the song I just required as if it wouldn’t recognise I have an active amazon music subscription (as opposed to the “free” access included with amazon prime).I already tried the solution recommended in this post (similar but not identical issue) without success: please help, thank you.

Today’s WSJ (18 Jan 25) published an article about the App Debacle:A must read here:“The $500 Million Debacle at Sonos That Just Won’t End”If the link above does not work, search using the article’s title.According to business news sites, there was a bunch of insider selling leading up to the App’s release in mid-May. According to an article on ARS Technica the smart people at Sonos opposed releasing the App in May.

We have no other Wi-fi sources around, do not use Alexa! Your new App started this crap, now the music starts blasting all times of the day and night. Really, BTW your CEO deserves the AX along with the design team? 

I'm certain this has already been discussed because it is extremely annoying so I don't believe I'm the only one to complain. But I cannot find the relevant thread. If I'm listening to music in my office room then it will display the inactive line in PC. Mehhhh....It has been exhausting!!! Hi,For no apparent reason my Spotify connect has stopped playing on Sonos. When I choose to play a song in Spotify on Sonos, Spotify app tries to make a connection and silently fails. However, if I group speakers in Sonos, I can see the groups in Spotify i.e. some data is transferred successfully.I have tried connecting from Spotify Mac app and Ios app with same results. I have rebooted all Sonos devices, routers and reinstalled Ios Spotify app.  All help appreciated!   

I click on my app to open.... It switches to app, starts loading the app.... The app shows main menu and immediately closes out. EVERYTIME!!!! I have ZERO controls over a expensive system!!! Why is this taking so long to fix!? Should've been fixed immediately or within a week of first signs. Not sit and wait. WHAT IS BEING DONE???

 I’ve spent several days trying to build a music library, and this message keeps popping up. “Algol” is the name of the server and “all” is the share. All checks out well on the host side. This message occurs 5-10-15 minutes into the Library refresh. I’ve been able to get most of the library built by starting with a small number of files in the share, refreshing the library, adding more, refresh, repeat. Having smaller updates seems to suit Sonos better. But now that the library has grown to 38,000 or so files, I can’t get any further. I suspect what is happening is that Sonos is timing out on reading the share folders and building its database. It interprets a timeout as the share going away -- unpowered, changed path, whatever, none of which is definitely not the case. I don’t have reason to suspect the environment. The

When I try to play, the song just buffering. Nothing happens. Yes, I have tried to reauthorize. And reinstall the Apple Music. Dont work. 

Completely baffling there’s still no way to sort or organise Favorites, except for Recently Added. Most users will obviously add the most important services first, which therefore don’t show up on the home page over time. This is UX 101. Can someone please let us know if there’s any chance this is going to be changed?Please Allow us to manually edit and organise the list! 

Would anyone from Sonos be prepared to offer a new timeline for the restoration of the full playlist creation / editing /. Managing feature that has been absent since May 2024?We were promised Sept , then Oct , then December and there has been no sign of it.  

Every time I add new music to iTunes and then try to update my Library it vanishes - the path shows in my settings etc but all artists/albums vanish - and when I ‘update’ it takes about two seconds to update and nothing has changed.It was all working OK this morning - then added some new CDs to iTunes, and first it said the path was no longer available, which is rubbish - why would it have changed? I checked, and all sharing settings are as they were.I’m using an iMac BTW.

I have called about my Sirius XM not being able to play on my Sonos sound bar. I have a Android phone and the app is loaded but the music stations are grayed out. They said this is a known issue, but they don't seem to be doing anything to fix it. They recommended that I try with an Apple device. Has anyone been able to get content from Sirius using an Android? This is nonsense and disappointing that they are not able to resolve this. What a POS!

The New Sonos iOS app is absolutely terrible. If you haven’t upgraded yet please please don’t. There are so many missing features and bugs to boot. It looks like an pre-Alpha version of software rushed to market without being properly tested or checked.PLEASE PLEASE  PLEASE Sonos bring back the S2 app for download on the App Store. If I could downgrade I would do it in a heartbeat. I’m a long time user and fan of Sonos products but frankly this is a big miss a disaster. This new app is almost unusable. This is Sonos’s Windows Vista moment. Please listen to your users Sonos, negative feedback is everywhere now. Please give us back the S2 app whilst this one goes back to the drawing board or perhaps the trash can.  

Lots of complaining on this forum that SONOS gives zero s***s about of course. The fact is SONOS ripped us off.And it's frustrating to be ripped off.I will be never give SONOS another dollar. That's my only revenge. I’ve had my sonos system for about 5 years now. I’m done!! starting to look for an alternative music system. All the hardware is great!! The controller is so infuriating to say the least!!! I am so very sick of “The requested operation is not available, try again” or any number of other catchy phrases given to not play any music!! This was so easy in the beginning, it’s not like I have a bunch of playlist, or custom anything from anything else. Just want to listen to music with no commercials. Now every single time I open the controller on my computer or phone I get the same song and dance… Or none I should say.However, if I ask alexa she will play just about anything I want. Unfortunately sometimes it comes out of the hockey puck or desk talk to gadget so I have to tell her to turn it off, get up, go into the kitchen where my sonos speak is and ask there… Is it really too much to ask for the music I want when I want it? After all, isn’t that why I spent the money to buy this

I’ve been fighting this issue ever since the SONOS App update. Right now I get “Access Denied” when trying to access my 2TB Samsung SSD attached to my TP-Link Router.  I can copy and move all the files from my MacBook and Windows 11 system BUT SONOS will NOT play the files giving “access Denied.”  I tried to set up rights from the Windows system since  the SONOS app has one feature not on the MacBook.  Today I decided to take a bigger hammer to the problem and connect the SSD directly to the Macbook, NO FILE FOLDERS displayed?  Now I’m wondering what would be the best Disk Format for that SSD to get the Music Library online.  Any suggestions welcomed The MacBook Version of the app : No “Fix Permissions” option The Windows Version of the app.  Should it really fix the permissions?

Hi,I’ve been using SONOS for more than 10 years. Initially, I’d chosen this system after a very careful selection, for its simplicity and efficiency.I know I am far from being the only one complaining now, as the system and app came through many updates, and grew bigger and bolder… and less and less reliable and slower.This is a last call to the SONOS team, management and developers, from an anonymous user, being part of the many anonymous users that make the SONOS community. Please… please stop making the system and app more complex, and go back to simplicity and efficiency. Please be reasonable… only a few options, that’s it. You know which ones are important (all feedback you get focuses on the same essentials).An App which takes 10 seconds to connnect to a speaker, or sometimes does not actuates anything anymore… is useless. Users don’t pay for zillions options. They want it to work. Loud and clear.I hope this message in a bottle will be heard.

App keeps asking me to sign out and back in as master owner just trying to add a speaker

I have found several threads about the Sonos app not working on Xiaomi phones, but I do not see a solution to the problem, apart from using the equipment via the website. In marketing information, user manuals and other warnings before purchase there is no information that the application does not work with a specific phone or even an entire line, brand of phones. So I have a question, is anything happening about repairing this problem or should I return the equipment as non-compliant with the terms of the purchase agreement, because there is no chance of repairing this problem!!!???

There we go again…after some weeks of being kinda able to use the system.. ( something went wrong still did frequently appear ) last week update ruined to volume completely.  Sonos you really used all my patience.  after seven months you are still not able to deliver an reliable user friendly app.
