Controllers and Music services

Good morning everyone,I have a family subscription to Spotify. Using our iMac I can connect to my Sonos network using my Spotify account but I cannot connect my wife’s account to the Sonos. She can’t connect via her iPhone 11 either. All our software is the very latest version.Can someone help please?Cheers… Chris

The iPhone app connection to our Play:1 and Play:3 got screwed up, such that I had to go thru the reset process of temporarily connecting one of them to the router via Ethernet.  That only partially worked, and various attempts to correct it finally got them both working, but with the Play:1 on my Sonos account and the Play:3 on my wife’s Sonos account.  But after logging out of the app on either/both iPhones, it won’t let us log into the other account - demands the credentials for the account we just logged out of.  How to fix/workaround this?

Does anyone else think this service is poor?I have 2 speakers which are both good, but because I bought them separately I now have to use 2 Different apps, and I can never connect straight away it takes ages to pause or turn up or skip songs. Too frustrating for the price. 

I bought an album this week from the iTunes store with 54 tracks.  All of the files are in the same folder, but only 38 appear in my Sonos Music Library.  When I buy music, I copy it to a flash drive plugged into my router which is what Sonos accesses.  All 54 files are the same type (m4a) and there are about 7,500 files in my library.  I’ve selected “update music library now” multiple times.  I’m using S2.  This is very frustrating.  Any ideas?  Please help!

After the latest update of my Sonos S1, I can no longer connect to my music on my NAS drive (a WD PR2100). The path is still showing in my Sonos settings, but doesn’t recognize it. Then I tried adding the NAS drive folder again, but the "Next button" does not become available, when entering the folders server address. How can I connect my music? I rebooted everything, and also checked the firewall settings. The issue is the same on 3 different computers.

Just a note for others, my SiriusXM account just stopped playing this week on SONOS, and per the advice here on the community and then from SONOS Support (Case #02556297), I tried removing and re-adding my account credentials as a music service.  Then tried changing my password and waiting 24hrs as instructed by support.  None of this worked; I still could not play SiriusXM over SONOS - just kept getting an “Account not Found” error.  It would play fine on any other device or app, just not SONOS.Today I tried also changing my SiriusXM Username along with the password, and it worked immediately, I could re-add the account on SONOS.  What seems to be the key here is changing the Username, not just the password, I assume that causes a refresh with the account credentials database.Very frustrating that SONOS support could not advise me of this apparently critical step when contacted.I still have no idea why my setup stopped playing SiriusXM after years of continuous use...but this seems to

I have several problems: The music from the library skips regularly, some of my players keep on disappearing and reappearing from the app and the app says "cannot browse music" or "cannot play music". I don't have any device that could interfere, I have changed channels to 6 and 11 with no improvement.We have 3 Play:1 systems and are getting very annoyed with all the problems we have. 

I have iHeartRadio installed as a music service in the Sonos app and it has worked perfectly until recently. If I search for an artist, that artist actually comes up on the list with iHeartRadio as an option but when I then click to select I get an error (see picture below). I do have a workaround as I can open the iHeartRadio app on my phone and then search for the artist and then connect to the room I want to listen to the music in. However, it is still annoying why I can’t do it directly from the Sonos app which used to work. Any input on why I get this error and how to fix it? 

Hi, I have a Primephonic account, what is the maximum Primephonic playlist size, or number of tracks, that I can play via “Select a music scource”I am using the S1 appThanks in advance for help

This is the message I get today. Anyone else having problems? This happens at least once a month for some unknown reason with Sirius XM and Sonos. No one has ever given a reason as to why and it sure is annoying. 

Have been listening to radio with no problems on my Play 1 and connect amp …..tried today and I get no connection as”server cannot be found”. I’ve tried everything!  I tried My Radio and others but no luck. …..reset router etc. Any ideas? 

I have just reset my Sonos One and updated the software. However, Sonos Radio cannot/will not locate ‘Wave 105’ radio based in Hampshire. It did so before the update. Are there any licensing issues that prevent this?THanks 

I have a Mycloudhome.  I loaded music folders and inadvertently had duplicated the folders in a sub-folder.  I have now cleaned the drive so there is only one incidence of each track.When I list tracks in Sonos Mycloudhome, every track is listed twice.As an experiment I deleted an album and it's tracks from the Mycloudhome completely and the tracks now appear only once on the Sonos list.  Where are these tracks if not on the Mycloudhome drive? How do I get rid of the duplication?

Diagnostic Submitted:  1389803671Ever since upgrading to S2, my Sonos system which had been working for years without issue has started to randomly/intermittently stop playing audio from my Music Library (stored on a WD PR4100 NAS), although the controller shows the track is still playing. This can occur from only 2 mins into playing, or after 30mins. Rarely can you get more than 30 mins. It is occurring more and more frequently to the point we cannot get to listen to music for more than 10-20mins. This does not appear to occur when streaming radio stations from TuneIN. I have followed all advice regarding similar issues, checked WiFi signals, channels,  interference, different wifi router, powered off all speakers, then on one by one, etc. All other devices are working fine at the time of failure.I thought it may be due to NAS going into sleep mode, but have tested while NAS is being consistently accessed, and also turned off the sleep setting.I have found that removing and re-adding

I'll submit a report when I can duplicate the issue. But until then, here are the details: - Connect: hardwired - 2 Play1's: wireless - 1 Play3: wireless - Static IPs for all four speakers - Unraid docker for Plex for music server -  all files are FLAC16/44  I'm having the following issues since upgrading to S2: - music will randomly stop playing on different speakers, then come back on - improper formatting errors but I'm meticulous with my music, so the errors about proper formatting are not related to the FLAC files. They play on my computer just fine. - unable to turn off the wireless option on the Connect, says that there is no Ethernet connection. Router says it is transmitting via Ethernet, so I'm not sure what that is about. Those are the three big ones right now. The idea of having to redo all four again is not appealing. I had my Sonos years - Play 5 as stereo pair. Gen 1 and now gen 2.  This process has not been with out issues. Now again - I have gone weeks with it being completely non-functional from an apple perspective, no changes have been made to my set up. When I try to play a song from Apple Music, it would sometimes start and play the first 10 seconds and then stop and say that it cannot connect to Apple Music or it may say this from the start. Other times I will try to add a song and it just says "cannot add music to queue"  I have power cycled the speakers, the modem, the wifi. Nothing seems to make any difference.  I have installed the app and re installed - I have checked all settings. The Tunein-radio works, Sonos radio works, my line in to my turntable works - this is specifically an issue between the sonos and apple interface. Everything else in my house works. Hi Having more trouble here with a newly bought Sonos One and my projector. Setting my Apple TV to the main speaker (Sonos) has been difficult. It takes several tries to get the sound to work and then sometimes it’s out of sync with my projector. I have to force quit the app I’m using and then try again. Bluetooth doesn’t have these issues so maybe the Airplay 2 isn’t good on Sonos? It also doesn’t do the navigation sounds that I get on Bluetooth. Honestly I bought Sonos because I need a speaker for my projector but the difficulty every time I use the projector and needing five minutes to set the sound to the Sonos is annoying. i can’t get HomeKit to add the speaker. I’ve followed the directions on the Sonos site but it doesn’t work. When I try to add the accessory and direct HomeKit that I don’t have a QR code or a bar code HomeKit still can’t find it. I’ve rebooted the Sonos and tried adding the speaker on two different devices.I’m starting to think maybe I should’ve gotten a Bluetoo

every time I change an lp on turntable I need to reselect what speakers are being used, change volume level and balance and stereo pair. How can I preset these?  Or stop losing them when I flip the record on the turntable? 

This is becoming increasingly frustrating. First I lost the radio service I was using and now my album track order is being ignored with many tracks ignored due to skipping.I saw on one forum a message about the device sleeping would cause some problems. Does this mean I have to keep my phone screen active to not suffer any problems. This certainly never used to happen and does not explain random track skipping. If this is the case it kind of negated the use of the technology as a music player. Been a Sonos owner for six or so years but this is causing real annoyance with the setup.

When I try and add my NAS drive music subfolder (called My Music) the app says ‘No share My Music on server.  If I put ‘Music’ (though not a real subfolder) it connects but clearly nothing there.  Any help? All my other devices connect flawlessly.  Thanks!

I have my Sonos connected to a media library on my Synology NAS.  If I pause my playlist, when I restart it, if my Synology has gone into hibernation (which by default it does after 20 minutes) then the Sonos will try to restart where it left off only to not be able to connect (I assume because the NAS is in hibernation and is waking up).So while the NAS comes back to life, Sonos moves merrily along trying each song and returning the ‘can’t connect’ error.  The result is that Sonos skips sometimes hundreds of songs before the NAS is out of hibernation.I know I can turn off hibernation on the NAS as an option.Question:  Is there a way to set Sonos to query the NAS and if it isn’t able to connect immediately that it will wait 10 seconds and then try again before moving onto the next song, especially on restart?  Failing that, does anyone have an easy way to ‘wake the NAS’ before restarting playback to avoid this?Thank you. 

I’m unable to use Apple Music right now. Message from SONOS:“Unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to Apple Music”What is the problem? Anybody know what’s going on?

In the last couple of days, I have had problems playing any Pocketcasts episodes on my Sonos speakers.  I have tried multiple speakers and all of them get an “Error adding songs to the queue”.  All speakers can play other content, like Spotify.  Is this an overall Sonos/Pocketcasts issue?

This has happened since we got Spotify (2 yrs ago?). When I pull up the error log, I can see that Sonos loses connection with Spotify every 3-5 minutes. Sometimes it will skip over songs or sometimes everything will stop playing all-together. We have no issues with Pandora, only Spotify. We purchased the boost about a year ago to help with our internet connection, but we have not noticed much of a difference. Our most recent Sonos Diagnostic was submitted at 5:49 on Wednesday 1/20/2021. Our diagnostic number is 2091627459. This issue was with our playbar. It lost connection for about 2 minutes. We have reached out to our tech company, and they have not noticed any issues on their end with our internet connection. Any tips? Thank you!

Hey,I’m having a bit of a frustrating problem when Sonos frequently says it has lost connection to Spotify when trying to play either via Alexa or S2. I’ve tried using one for the Sonos devices on Ethernet or Wireless and the problem is persisting. On the odd occasion it will work however!
