Controllers and Music services

Hi guys. I have been listening FM for long with my Sonos device. It was all fine since yesterday. That tunnel what I am listening every day, it doesn't have any voice at all. It is so strange as all the other tunnels have voice instead of this one. I am really upset as I am at home nowadays and that is the only FM what I like it. Have you faced similar problem already? Can anyone help me please? Thanks a lot.

I have a new Sonos One, gen 2. I have hooked it up successfully using wifi. I have the app on my Android phone and can play Sonos radio no problem. Running OS 11.4 on my Mac Mini. Downloaded the Sonos desktop app. I can see the Sonos One and play music via Sonos radio. I can see the device in my volume drop down and in system prefs, both as airplay. But when I go to Youtube or Zoom and want the sound to come out, nothing. The Sonos shows that the app (YouTube) is sending something to the Sonos. But despite changing the volume, nothing. Help is appreciated. Thanks. 

Hello I have a Sonos generation 1 system. A Connect:amp connected to the router and a couple of Play 1’s and a Play 5. The system has always worked well in the past and I have had no issues using Spotify.The system has been reset and setup after being dormant for 6 months during renovations at home and I can no longer add Spotify as a service. It doesn’t even appear in the list of services.I can see the rooms I have set up in the Spotify App but can not connect to any of them.I can use other services that I have added in the Sonos App without any issue.Any ideas? I purchase this Buffalo NAS: https://www.buffalo-technology.com/productpage/linkstation-ls210d/ after my WD NAS with almost 1TB of data (mostly music) caught some malware and died on me. After sending it off to a company to get my files back, they returned it with many, many duplicate music (mostly MP3 for PC) files.When I tried to add this new library, I get the error that I have reached my capacity and to delete playlists and such.Is there a way, other than manually going and deleting ~100K+ duplicates files, that Sonos can filter these songs? I’m currently going through the process of deleting files using a purchased software called Easy Duplicate Finder but that’s not perfect and even after running it for 2 days, I get the same error.Please let me know what I should do, thanks. 

I’ve been listening to Proton Radio via TuneIn for a couple of years, without problems. But it has stopped working. The station is still operating, and I can stream directly from the website via my MacBook and Airplay. But I’d rather stream directly to my Sonos system. I already tried “Add Radio Station” without success.I also tried MyTuner and Sonos Radio, but I can’t get it to work. My music files are on a NAS device connected to the local LAN.  I added a folder on that NAS device as the Music Library folder and I can see and play all the .mp3 music files that are located in many of the subfolders of the top Music Library folder.  So far so good.  BTW, the tracks were added to the iTunes library using the same .mp3 files located on the NAS device.The problem I have is with the playlists.  I exported a few playlists from my iTunes library as .xml files.  I  then created a subfolder in the top Music Library folder and copied the exported .xml playlist files into that subfolder.  For some reason I do not see the playlists subfolder in my Music Library on the ipad I run the Sonos app on. So, what I noticed is that in the playlist files exported from iTunes, that is in the .xml playlist files, under file names, iTunes uses the drive letter like P: in the file names, something like this:  //localhost/P:/…….This makes sense as I m

When I upgraded to Catalina 10.15.7 (iMac) I had no problems using Sonos everything was fine unlike others or so I thought.I only noticed recently that the daily music library update was pushing out a message that I had too many Playlists and the update could not complete and I should delete some playlists and re-run the update or words to that effect.Checking in the Music app I only had approx. 70 playlists which should be ok.Checking my imported playlists in Sonos I noticed 2 playlists called Home Videos & Music - Home Videos contained all my Videos and Music contained all of my Music tracks around 16,000. Most likely the Music playlist size is causing the daily library update to send out the delete playlist messages.I have changed the music library path without success. Anybody else had this problem caused when Catalina binned iTunes , I still have a sub folder called iTunes under the Music Folder , but playing with the library

Using my Mac Book with Catalina I have no problem; however, on the iMac which uses Big Sur, Sonos cannot play half of the songs in the Musiclibrary (which contains exactly the same songs on the two computers. Any suggestions?

Question. Within the Deezer Menu under My Music there used to be an option called My Top Tracks. This seems to have been removed. Is this a Deezer decision or a Sonos decision or a combination. It was an option that I really enjoyed. It was basically your own personal chart of the top songs you are listening to at any point in time. I used that a lot and hope it can be reinstated. Can someone from Sonos indicate how I can share this feedback? The playlist (Top Tracks) is still available in the native Deezer app as the 3rd pic below suggests   

I’ve been using PLEX Media Server (PMS) running on a Synology Diskstation to serve up local music files to the household SONOS system. It has been working flawlessly until the last couple of days. Unfortunately, both the NAS software (including Disk Station Manager, v: 6.2.4-25556) and PMS (v1.22.1.4228) were updated during this time, so I’m not sure where the issue started, but this is what I’ve been able to establish: PMS will play any mp3 file via either the Android and Windows desktop SONOS controllers (S2). PMS fails to serve up almost all 16bit 44.1kHz flac files to SONOS and reports “Unable to play - the connection to Plex was lost.” This error is reported in both Android and Windows SONOS controllers. I have found only 2 flac files that will play and I can see in the PMS dashboard that they are being played as flac (stereo) at 834Kpbs and 941Kbps, respectively. I’ve read some of the other issues and answers that others have experienced however I still cannot get Sonos to recognize my updated music.  I add new songs to my Amazon music account then go to Sonos to play and the song/songs I’ve just added are not showing.  I’ve deleted my Amazon account and reinstalled, I’ve signed out of my Amazon account and signed back in but still nothing is working.  I’ve deleted the Sonos app and reinstalled, I’ve tried everything I can think of.  I’m using an iphone 8+ to access my Sonos and Amazon music.

Just moved, had to factory reset the Play 1 and Play 5, connected to a few music services.  I have a nice library of music in Itunes on my PC.  How do I connect that libary to the Sonos system via the Android app on my phone?  Answers etc. in FAQs and forums seem outdated.Thanks.DTM

So it seems when I play Spotify through both Spotify Connect and the Sonos app on both my iPad and iPhone, Spotify randomly stops playing. This seems really to only seems to happen at night. I can press play and the audio will resume right where it left off. This is with a SYMFONISK hardwired with an Ethernet cable. I submitted diagnostics: 1031354842

I have my Music Library saved on my MacBook Pro and recently when I’ve updated my playlists and exported my library to sync to my WD MyCloud Home, it’s still showing playlists I have deleted and is missing new ones I have added. I’ve even tried deleting the original .xml file and exporting a brand new library but no luck.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Over the last several months, Spotify has been functioning terribly with the Sonos setup in our household and 8/10 it displays the message “Unable to play ‘X’ - the connection to Spotify was lost.”  This error appears if I choose a song from within the Sonos app using Spotify music services; if I choose Spotify Connect from within the Spotify app it just fails to connect to any Sonos speaker; and if I ask Alexa to do it she confirms the action but then nothing happens. All other music services are functioning correctly on Sonos with no interruptions, so I know it is not an internet connectivity issue. I am also fully confident that my Spotify account is not being used simultaneously on any other device. I have removed Spotify from our music services within the Sonos app, I have reset the Wi-Fi (even created a new Wi-Fi network), and I have also reset all our Sonos products to factory settings - none of these steps have fixed the issue.

HeyTrying to see if someone has this problem, or even better if someone can figure out how to solve it.I have a few podcast apps connected to Sonos, mainly using pocket casts and stitcher. I have noticed that when I add a new podcast show to the app (I.e. Pocket Casts) quite often I cannot see that show from the Sonos app. Sometimes it fixes itself after a few hours, but sometimes it doesn't, and I'm therefore unable to play that show via Sonos. Thanks in advance to anyone who can give a hand.        

Spotify keeps losing connection to my sonos speaker. I have recently switched to amazon music on trial and I've had no issues with it. As soon as I reconnect it to spotify the same things starts happening. You haven't been able to give anybody a satisfactory answer as far as I see. Any solution? I've tried he usual router reboots yadayada 

I faced an error while playing the music on 20th of August, I thought that it’s only a glitch and can be solved by the owners. Then I play same on the 22th of the August as ***** but the issue is still same.  Please, tell me about the possible solution. Hi, this is the simple problem.i’ve just configured a share over my QNAP NAS through SAMBA sharing protocol, the NAS is updated and SMB is at version 3.I’ve pointed a major share directory in which, on surface, is visibile the snapshot folder and it start with a @ symbol; the problem consist in the fact that all other folders in that share are NOT VISIBLE in the scanned library from SONOS app, phenomenon that never happened before activating snapshots (so with that virtual folder visible and accessible).if i point/map directly a subfolder inside the main share showing the @ dir i see everything about what’s inside, i suspect there is some king of problem this special chars … could you investigate?Thanks in advance

I have been listening to BBC Radio Cornwall for years.  From yesterday it has suddenly stopped working and plays a rolling message saying that BBC Local Radio is unavailable due to 'contractual reasons' or a 'technical fault'.Does anyone have any knowledge about this and when/if it will be corrected please?BBC Radio 4, for example, works fine.

Sonos has problems with song titles that include accents and cedilla [ç] I have to get rid of all accents and cedillas before Sonos recognizes the song.I see that this has been mentioned before, but there was no answer or solution.

The Sonos pandora link seems to be broken again.  Can you fix it?Thx!

For years the Sonos app does not play all of my songs in iTunes. It plays for a while and then starts skipping songs saying unable to play.  I can go back to those songs and manually force it to play them so it’s not a corrupt file. I communicated with Sonos and have tried everything, rebooting everything and after playing for a while it still happens. Occasionally, like today it will stop altogether and just continue to skip all songs until I shut down the app and open it back up again. A very disappointing app that does not really work with iTunes.

I’ve read postings in this forum about the same issue that I am having and wondering if there is a fix or workaround.That is, a large imported playlist (from my music library) only appears to contain a fraction of the songs in the original playlist.  For example, an 8900 song playlist is imported but when added to the queue (or replacing the queue) only loads only 1200 or so songs into the queue.I’ve read that this issue may be due to a timing limitation of the playlist import process.Aside from a workaround like creating multiple shorter playlists from the original and importing those, are there other suggested workarounds?  I’ve taken to occasionally random sorting of the original playlist then re-importing it so that i get a different grouping..Or maybe there’s a fix?  If the issue is related to a playlist-import-time limit, maybe there is a way to increase that time limit?  I do not think i can speed up the connection to the music library.Thank
