Controllers and Music services

Hi,I am wondering who is responsible for implementing the individual music services in Sonos, e.g. Apple Music?Actually I changed my music service from amazon music unlimited to Apple Music.But the navigation and the options for selecting music, genres and playlists are an absolute disaster.In amazon Music it's very simple and with just a few clicks I can select playlists by genre or mood. So there are three steps in amazon music and then a lot of different playlists.  In Apple Music, on the other hand, it is not even po

On MacOS 13.1, running on an M1 MacBook Pro.Consistent error message when trying to update the MacOS Sonos app (on prompt in app). Only solution is to uninstall and reinstall.Very frustrating!Any ideas how to stop this happening?

Hi there, recent issue with my S2 system, after adding a few more albums to my 22K track music library stored on my NAS it continually failed to update throwing the  "//{nas path}/Folder/" is no longer available error, sometimes immediately sometimes after a few minutes of indexing. Surprisingly my S1 system (on the same LAN) can read and index the NAS share with no issues. My S2 system comprises of a Port (ethernet connection) and a Roam. My S1 consists of a Connect/ZP, a Play 5 and One SL. Sonos have acknowledged there is an issue but cannot advise of a timeline for a fix.If I create a small library on the same NAS with a few albums the S2 system can index it. I’ve seen some similar posts with the same issue including suggestions of changing the library structure into a number of smaller chunks but this isn’t acceptable for me.Other suggestions welcome, or keen to hear if others are having the same issue.

The Sonos app on my iMac tells me it has found an update. I go through the process and it says “Sonos Update failed. An unexpected error occurred, please try again”.I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and it still tells me there is an update and then takes me down this endless loop.

I am experiencing a problem with TuneIn on iOS. When I select a TuneIn station, the Sonos plays whatever station that was last playing not what I select. For example, if I am currently playing Station X, and then select Station Y, the Sonos continues to play X and not Y, though the display shows Station Y. I have to select the station I want again and then it plays. Weird, I know. Any thoughts? Thanks.

i cant see spotfy  in my sonos app anymore, what to do?

My Sonos S1 app on IOS is asking me to update, but when I click the update button I am taken to the S2 app update on the App Store. If I search for the S1 app on the App Store, no update is available. I have a Gen 1 Sonos Connect so can’t use the S2 app. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

When trying to add music folder to SONOS desktop app I receive the following message-The computer “DESKTOP - (COMPUTER NUMBER)” is not responding.I previously had the folder loaded but the desktop app displayed a similar message when I tried to play music. I can play music through sonos from the amazon music app on my mobile without any problemsI’ve looked at various solutions but I am unable to resolve this.I am running a PC with Windows 10, I have Bitdefender security operating. The Bitdefender firewall protection rules allow sonos.exe & sonoslibraryservice.exe.

Is anyone able to have their favorites, identified in the new Sirius XM app (now listed under the library section), appear in the Sonos app? Looks like they need to update the interface between Sonos and Sirius XM to reflect the new structure. The sonos app currently lists what I had tagged as favorites in the old Sirius XM app but there is no way to list them any longer in the sirius XM app or edit them.

I run a series of speakers, 3 x Play:3 and a couple of Sonos 1’s and also have a Roam which I am struggling with.I normally use an iPhone 6s with S2 version 15.  I can’t update this as S2 version 16 won’t work on iOS version 15.I also have an iPhone 13 running iOS 16 and it is now running S2 version 16.I foolishly tried to connect my Roam to a hotel network last week and have discovered the hard way that this is not a good thing to try - I don’t like using the Roam as a bluetooth speaker and wanted to stream direct.My iPhone 13 now says, when I try to re-establish the Roam on the network by adding it, that I have to upgrade.As my speakers are showing “SONOS OS: S2” and “Version: 15.11” I assume it wants me to update the speakers to 16.If I do this will my iPhone 6s running S2 version 15 then not be able to control my various speakers?

When I open up my sonos app (android) i can’t add SiriusXM and the only music services showing are Last.fm and TuneIn.  I don’t even see the standard sonos music (such at Cocktail hour etc.)  We are unable to play any music!  I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, signed into my account, etc.  My husband is also unable to access anything to play on the sonos app (IOS).  Right now all we have is a very expensive TV Soundbar.

Is there a way I can turn off my Sonos music that is playing after I left and no longer on the same WiFi of the system I’m trying to turn off?

My Sonos (S2) uses Pandora for the alarm. Today woke up to beeping instead of music and Sonos says that the source is missing when I go to settings. I don’t see Pandora in the list of my services or available services. Did Pandora just get dropped?

I have a pair of Sonos 1 speakers (set up as a stereo pair), Move and a Roam speaker. All of the  speakers were working perfectly but now none of them will play music directly from Apple music. The speakers respond to the command (ex. they say now playing xxx song from Apple music but then they don’t play anything, it is just silent). They do respond to other voice commands (ex. they will tell me the weather forecast or time if I ask). The speakers work fine when I play music from my phone and connect to them through airplay but not directly. I am not sure why they stopped doing this but any advice?  Thanks

I’ve been experiencing an issue recently with my Sonos speakers, whereby when I switch to a new song, some speakers continue to play the older song, some play the newer one, some silent.  I have 2 Sonos S2, Sonos Move.I have a Netgear Orbi (802.11.ac) router.Everything here is in one room; the farthest from the router an S2 is may be about 20 ft.  So that is not an issue.My “controller” is an iPhone 15 Pro with iOS 17.1.2; my Macbook Pro 16” (Intel) is where I do a lot of my work and control Sonos.  The Sonos code on MacOS is:Version: 15.10Sonos OS:  S2Build: 76246300 Up until recently, things have worked just fine.I can’t imagine what the problem is, as bandwidth or signal should not be an issue with the relatively low proximity of the router.  So unless someone is aiming a signal jamming device (LOL) at me, I’m at a loss as to why this is happening (yes all my Sonos speakers are on the local WIFI network).I restart

Pretty much the title. I am based in Norway, my account profile is set to Norway and my AppleID is setup for Norway. None the less, no Apple Music is listed in the Add Services and Voice. My setup is a Beam (Gen1), 2 Symfoniks, a Play1 and a Play3.The iOS app has been uninstalled and re-installed after a reboot of the phone. The only thing I can find for searching for atmos content is to manually scroll through every atmos recording ever made.   I can't find a way to search for atmos recordings from for a specific composer or artist.   Have I missed something or is this just the state of things? 

I'm just trying to listen to music.   Suddenly Sonos is making me reauthorize all of my accounts.   Every time I try to search for something I have to reauthorize another account.   Is this what I'm paying for when I buy a Sonos product? 

I strongly object when wanting to listen to a newscast at the top of the hour, to miss the headlines etc. because a long commercial is heard.  I do not accept this. Further the application (at lleast on iPhone) has no parameter to switch this off. I admit I no longer use Sonos or less and less because of this. I would like complete explanations. Regards 

I’ve downloaded a 12 hour white noise playlist on Spotify, every night I notice that it gets about 3 hours in and then just stops playing. I know the songs are not corrupt because if I play the playlist on another device, it plays all the way through. I changed broadband providers (not because of this issue) and issue still happens. I have good internet connection so wouldn’t have thought this was why. System updated.  Why does it happen?! I always wake up to the silence! 

I needed to delete and reinstall the Sonos app cuz that’s the only way to get it to update. Deleting it was easy but when I went to the Apple app store, I can’t find the app. What am I missing??Marc

Hi!I am trying to find a way to play a web stream which is in flac. I’ve read that it is distributed in some sort of ogg container. I have been using the Sonos app with Pandora, Amazon, and Sirius music services for a long time. Recently. I cannot connect to the services via the Sonos app. I receive an error message “Unable to browse music there was a problem connecting to [music service].”  Has anyone run into this issue?
