For the past 3 days my sonos system can’t play certain Sirius XM channels, namely the news channels.  The music channels are fine.   What’s happening?

 Hi folks,New to the Sonos ecosystem so was looking forward to using the app with my Youtube Music account.But i seem to be hitting upon an issue whereupon the Sonos app will only show me a small number of artists/songs/playlists from my Youtube Music Library.For example, in the Artist section I can only access artists up to the letter I.Songs/PlaylistsAlbums also only offer me a small selection from my Library.Anyone come across this? Is there a fix?Thanks for any help. 

After spending almost an hour in a Chat and then a virtual session with Sonos support, I was left with the resolution of “I have no idea why your playlists are not coming in from your Apple music app.” This even after the tech in the virtual session re-pointed the Sonos app to the folder where everything was located, re-indexed and there were no imported playlists. I have my music on a networked drive that I have used for years with no problems, but the last time I made changes to the drive, I had to reformat and create my library from scratch.After the first indexing, all the music was there, organized the way the Apple Music app sets things up but no playlists showed up. After searching these forums and finding info about exporting an .xml file, I did that. I put that file in the folder searched by Sonos, re-indexed but still no playlists. That’s when I turned to the Sonos tech folks.A day after not having a solution from Sonos tech support, I had an idea that I tried and it worked.A

I notice that my legacy products tend to struggle to keep up when streaming HD songs from sources such as Amazon.  It would be nice to have the ability to set a preference for lower-quality/SD streaming if/when available to aleviate some of that struggle and make the legacy units more responsive. 

After I-don’t-know-how-many years and ten Sonos units, I’ve given in.  The whole lot are being sold, to save my sanity and pass the burden of these cursed ‘speakers’ to some other naive idiot who thinks a ‘premium’ product with such a fragile network operation is acceptable in this day and age. My current network is Orbi-based, with several satellites across a large house, and every floor and room has exceptional signal. All ten Sonos Play:1/Ones are connected wirelessly, and are not near any large objects, sources of interference or peas hidden under ten mattresses… And yet, despite working perfectly well for the past week, and there being no changes or alterations (including updates) to my Sonos products or network during this time, for the past two days I have been completely unable to use *any* Sonos for any type of stream or playback. All I receive from the app is the usual spinning circle of boredom before being told that either there’s no connection from the Sonos unit to the se

Why does your platform not shuffle all, in any of your tabs?  This has been driving me mad for ages. This makes no sense and even when you have the opportunity to shuffle in a playlist, invariably it never plays all the playlist and will repeat songs already played? It’s a great product, but the app falls short of allowing you listening pleasure of play all? Please sort this out. In this era, your app is not capable of understanding the simple command of play all, unless it’s a playlist and even then it fails on occasion. 

I am trying to find radio stations by country, and cannot restrict the results in any way. It’s not feasible to scroll thru thousands of entries which have to discernible sequencing. 

Hello there!I have a One Sl and a Symfonisk. Both are in a separate room (kitchen and attic). When I’m listening to Spotify from device A on the Symfonisk and then some starts Spotify from device B (not the same Spotify account) it stops my music on the One SL. I would expect they would both keep on playing since the Spotify accounts are separate and the rooms are separate as well.  Am I missing something here?

When I try to link Sirius XM, the app routes me to login to Sirius which I do successfully. But when it tells me to return to the Sonos App, I recieve the generic error that Sonos had a problem without providing any trouble codes. I have had this problem for a while and the symptoms have always been the same.

A few days ago I have asked why my Deezer familly on Sonos was adding commercials to the premium whereas I m already paying to have no commercial with the family account . Someone answered I should make sur to add each member of the family. Even if I didn't understand why suddenly doing that it wouldn't add commercial, I did so. Did this solve the issue ...the answer is No. I'm still getting this leady asking me to upgrade. I only have this when I'm listening to my Sonos. Not with something else.

The Que will not accept songs

 Why, when I go to Apple Music -> Playlist -> Favorite Songs, do I see an empty list? This happens both on the mobile app and on PC. 

What the f*^# is going on with Sonos Radio Station playlists? Two or three songs into a Sonos Radio Station playlist is a off-genre, profanity filled song from some Adult or Rap music playlist. This has occurred recently while listening to Coffee House Acoustic, Light Jazz Coffee House, Smooth Jazz, and other Sonos Radio stations. I’m not easily offended, but I’m glad the grandkids haven’t been around to hear it. May I suggest you get s^*# together, or I’ll take my business elsewhere.   

For some reason, I cannot use the ‘My Music’ function of the Apple Music Service anymore. It displays “We’ve run into a problem. Try again.” I have deleted the app on all my devices, reinstalled. I’ve deleted the service and reauthorized. I’ve reset my router. Apple Music works fine. It’s only within the Sonos app that the error occurs.  Please help. Family account if that matters, and both users experience this. 

I have been running this Sonos setup for years and it’s been fine. This is a relatively new problem.Symptom: when I browse through the Sonos UI into “Music Library” and try to see items in any category (Artists, Albums, Genres...) I get “No selections are available.” I have had this problem before. Last time it went away by itself after an hour or so. This time it has persisted for some hours. Original post here.I am able to play Spotify, so the Sonos system is connected and working--at least mostly.The next logical supposition would be that something is wrong with the NAS device where my music files reside. No sign of a problem there, however. I ran diagnostics on the Synology hard drives just yesterday, and they are fine. Furthermore, from my Windows 11 desktop I can browse to the same NAS fileshare that Sonos is configured to use, and all the files are there, visible on the network. Creating a separate post regarding the below as this was marked as answered but the issue has not been resolved.  I personally use Spotify Connect 99% of the time to play music to my Sonos speakers, I think we can all agree it provides a much nicer UI for finding and playing music than the Sonos app (and has better audio quality than AirPlay)… However I have always noticed it tends to be a bit unreliable especially when switching rooms (say you listen to music in the kitchen then go upstairs and want to switch to bedroom without pausing the music). This will work sometimes but on a lot of occasions the new room will show as selected but no audio will play from the speakers (yet the song time will continue to advance). Scrubbing the track will then result in it quickly skipping 2-3 songs, and the audio playing will then be a different one to the displayed “Now Playing” (typically the song before in the queue) I have recently gotten round to debugging this a bit more and have found a rel

I have bought a new phone and all my apps have been moved over to the new one. However I can’t summon up my Music Library (which is on my PC) when I go to access Sonos (two). The path to my iTunes library is correct on Sonos on the PC but on the new phone it isn’t (for some peculiar reason) and I’m trying to change it to the correct one without success. As a result, when I search for (eg) an artist, I get nothing of my own collection, just suggestions from Spotify and Tuneln. (I don’t subscribe to Spotify and I’m not familiar with the other one!)What I’m doing is in Music Library Setup. ie “Add New Share”. I have entered the path ( to the relevant folder on my PC’s external hard drive) and now it wants a username/password “if required”. Well there’s no username/password to access my files on my computer other than a password when I switch the computer on. But pressing ‘OK’ results in no response. I tried with my Apple (ie iTunes) username/password which shouldn’t be needed as I’m only

Solar radio will not play on Radioplayer, TuneIn or Sonos radio.

Lots of old Sonos speakers. S1 user with TuneIn service for podcast streaming (NPRs Wait Wait)The last couple of times I’ve tried to stream I get “connection to TuneIn was lost”. Do some google-fu and it says “TuneIn on S1 no longer supported”. So I go looking for another service. I find Pocket Cast. Except to have a Pocket Cast account apparently I need to pay $40 a year. No thanks. So is there any way for me to stream podcasts on my old system - or do I have to pay 1000’s to replace speakers / subwoofers or get yet another subscription service?

Apologies if this is a no brainer, but recently I updated a legacy Sonos system which contained a number of ZP80s, 100, Play 5 and Play Ones…This original system was controlled through the S1 App.I took the plunge and purchased a couple of new Sonos Amps, and plan to extend that to a Beam/Arc/surround sound ec and other S2 only devices..  So I set up a system on S2… 2 Amps and updated the 2 play ones..  All good…. I then wanted to keep my Play 5 - so created a new S1 system for that in another room on its own..same network etc..… all good… So..  S2 is a bit tempermental at connecting to the new Amps and Play 1 and often I have to search for my system..  Sonos comes up with 3 systems..  The new S2 system, the S1 Play 5 and then a third system with the remainder of devices that are now in a box in the loft and not required.. Question - How do I remove these legacy products from my account so I just have 2 systems.?.. Supplementary - Why is S2 so flakey at connecting to the new system whe

I have a Sonos Connect (Gen 1) with two speakers connected.  The Sonos on my PC can see them, but it does not show up on my Android (12) phone.  It was visible previously but no longer is.  I tried restarting my phone which did not help.  Also, I tried cycling power to the Sonos Connect, which did not help either.What can I do to get my phone to recognize this device?

Question as subject line.  I have a Windows 11 desktop in the basement that acts as a fileshare for my mp3s.  I believe things are working because other devices in the house (including a Macbook Pro) can see the share and play the songs. But Sonos cannot.  I get the standard error message we’ve all seen, but I don’t know what my next steps are here. How can I find out what’s failing so I can fix it?(Sonos S1 controller, if that helps)

Been a Sonos user since day one.  Big podcast listener and ever since I switched to Pocketcasts the product has been getting progressively worse.  I’ll start by saying I have reached out to both companies, Sonos says nothing and Pocketcasts blames Sonos so no progress is to be made there.    I first used to notice that the occasional podcast wouldn’t play right away then it was certain podcasts never play, then it was most of my podcasts never play.  Now its practically useless.  Of the 8 or so weekly podcasts I listen to, 6 of them will no longer play.    The error says “The connection to pocketcasts was lost”   So now what do I do?  Both companies effectively ignoring the problem.  It makes their tech unusable for me.   As a consumer?  Where do I go or do I just sell my stuff and move over to google products so I can stream my podcasts.
