I have updated my Sonos IOS app to version 80.00.04 and have noticed that the search function no longer appears to search my Music Library (NAS drive).
It only search online music services (Spotify, Amazon, BBC Sounds, etc).
Has this functionality been withdrawn ? Has anyone else noticed, been affected ?
The only way to play from a Music Library now appears to be through manual browse and selection.
A detrimental loss of functionality !
Same here, Sonos did f.up functionalities with this release.
no more timers, sleep timers, and search option for your own library is poor manual browsing.
Yep, you’re not crazy. Sonos removed the ability to search your local library.
One alternative to check out is using Plex.
Like Talkien said, no local music library search… nor will it display the artwork for artist in of the local music library… For me, I listen more to my own music on Sonos, than streaming. Wish they did not take features away. Poor decision on Sonos.
