Resolved problem of re-adding Music Library and Itunes Playlists by adding Apple Music; the recent updates wouldnt let me re-add my Music Library; I was never able to add Itunes Playlists; BUT -- I now can by simply adding Apple Music to Sonos;

As some of you may know I bought a blue sound system to replace my unserviceable Sonos system, well I gave my Sonos to my brother who’s son has set the system up for him, however he didn’t use Sonos “software” (if you can call it that), he has the system working flawlessly using an app called SONOPAD and an app called SONOPHONE..It works very smoothly and is pretty to boot.anyway I had, had enough of SONOS as a company so BYE BYE.👋 

I have a playbase, sub gen 2 and two play 1’s as rears setup as surround. When I try to trueplay, it gets to the spot where it says “next you’ll hear A series of tuning sounds…” I click begin tuning and nothing happens.. any ideas how to resolve this?I’ve tried the “play Spotify” for a minute or so before trueplay.. does not work.

My Sonos updated, and now if I have a guest come to my house, they are asked to sign into my account to use the system. Is there a way to let them use the system without signing in?

Sonos totally frozen, deleted twice no result, keeps saying something has gone wrong, yes it certainly has it was the moment they changed the app.

My Spanish internet radio stations are no longer working in the UK.  These include Blue Marlin, Ibiza Sonica, Ibiza Global Radio, Costa Del Mar - Chillout. All other TuneIn stations from outside the UK seem to be working fine and Ibiza Sonica is steaming fine when you go to their website. If you search for Ibiza Sonica in the Sonos app it comes up as a Sonos Radio station but won’t play.   Is anyone else experiencing this issue?   Thanks   Matt

I never seen an update of something which worked very well to become the worst app !Alarm removed, increase or decrease volume doesn’t work correctly, one minute to change the radio….this update was done to torpedo this service !RIP Sonos*Moderator Note: Modified subject in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*

After the last update of the application (version 80.01.11) a few days ago, the autoplay stopped working and in the settings I can no longer find the Autoplay setting.I use a turntable connected to the sonos Five with an Aux cable.Can anyone help me out? Thanks 

These forums are littered with loyal users who have invested thousands on Sonos systems over the years not to mention their  time in curating playlists only to have a wholly unwanted ‘update’ pushed onto to them to lose basic functionality, but not to worry apparently it’s all on a roadmap.  A roadmap! For basic functions like adding/deleting from a playlist, an equalizer, alarms.  This should all be in day 1, I just can’t understand how this was approved for release.

My Sonos App updated and changed in a big way. The biggest way is that I can no longer access my NAS storage that holds my music library, or find any kind of network storage option at all. All I can access are 'services' that I don't want.Am I missing something or have my speakers just become fancy paperweights?

The new software downgrade also refuses to display album artwork which was a nice feature of the previous version -- and you cant clear the queue from the mobile phone although you can from a laptop !Bizarre changes.

I sat through the pain of the AMA last night, and have read the summary today, but don't recall seeing a reference to the missing artwork from the local library. Why has it been left off? Surely, if you want the app to look good, it should use the images associated with the music? Any idea if/when it will be put back in?

Aple music Mediathek is no longer reachable after upgrade! Do i habe to change the system as i can no longer listen to my music?

After the new app update, the shuffle button is gone from de “songs” section in the Apple Music library.  before the update I used to go to songs and press shuffle. No that option had disappeared.  can this be re added in a future update? 

Dear Sonos,I’ve been a customer for 13 years with multiple devices…Sonos Play 5 Gen 1, Play 3, One, Symfonisk etcGot annoyed a few years ago when you dropped support for some of my devices with the new app forcing me to upgrade. But, being a tech guy myself I could kind of understand that you needed to move on. Supporting 10 year old HW is hard. A few years have passed and I decided to refresh and use the upgrade discount. I bought two Era-300 to replace the devices from 2011. Trying to set this up has been an utter nightmare. It is absolutely unacceptable for products in this price range. I’ve spent a total of 7 hours and I’m still stuck. I have one Sonos One and one Symfonisk and two new Era-300. My wifi network is in mint condition, 250 mbit internet. I’ve never experienced a blip in connectivity on any device, ever. Beautiful unboxing experience and devices 👌👍 I created a new system for the first Era-300. Experience was shakey as hell. I got errors, try again, resets, try again. 

The new app for Android lacks external subwoofer connection or controls completely for the Amp.

Why do Sonos (Sonos One, and Roam) struggle to connect and stay connected to Spotify? It has been doing this every day this week. It used to just happen every so often, but now it won’t connect at all.Actually, it eventually connects several minutes after the attempt was made, but then it turns back off… on, off, on, off… it will do this several times before disconnecting all together.  Sonos, great sound, bad everything else. 

Help! I bought two Symfonisk speakers to complete my surround sound setup with Arc and Sub. Today I went crazy trying to configure them... without success. After many attempts, I managed to update the software (by installing the app on my PC) and now the app recognizes them. However, I can't configure the surround sound...  Most of times I start the adding process and it so with a network error after 3 tentatives. Sometimes it goes on but hangs on until I kill the app.I've tried everything: resets, connecting the Arc via cable, disabling the 5GHz network, removing a repeater that might have been causing interference, assigning a static IP, moving them closer and farther from all routers and the Arc... No way. Any ideas? HOw do I shut the music off? I used to be able to click on each room to shut it all off, When I do that now the app says No Output Selected. Select where to play this audio

When using Amazon music on the Sonosit plays just the first 30 seconds of the song and then moves to the next song. It will not play the entire song

New app garbage unusable.  Stop hiring Microsoft developers.  Used to be the best,  now its a easte of money.

I am yet another totally frustrated and angry SONOS customer, I have been forced to update to the new app which I find to be completely useless and unfit to fulfil the reasons for me buying into SONOS in the first place. When I bought the speakers (at significant cost) It was on the understanding that I would be able to curate and play MY OWN music library, I can no longer do that with this new totally rubbish app. I have no interest in streaming or using any other source other than music I own.Local music library……gone.Playlists…….. gone.ability to create a new playlist…..gone.Ability to control speakers independently…….gone.respect for SONOS……….gone.Me as a customer??? (Pending the “fix”!)  

Hi,Relatively new user. If i make changes to My Music on Amazon Music, im not seeing the changes in the sonos app. Im thinking it may have something to do with reindexing but the instructions on the web for how to reindex dont work or appear on my version of the app…Mike

Could I have the old app back please? The new one is nearly unusable. It is clunky, unreliable and sometimes has a mind of its own. I have iOS.
