My pixel 7a is still on the December update I have updated my older Samsung tablet to the January update would any one be aware of any difficulties updating on a android 15 device as the update has been available since the 13th of January.

I have albums where 2 or more tracks segue into each other. In iTunes they are separate songs but when Sonos imports them it imports as separate songs but also, separately, as groups. When played back I get the same songs twice. I can’t see how to stop Sonos doing this nor can I see how to just delete the rogue groups.

OMG ONCE AGAIN SONOS UPDATE CAUSES WASTED TIME AND DOESNT WORK, DO NOT USE.

This has happened multiple times with the app. Watching on apple tv - Netflix or whichever app will randomly say ‘no content’ and I cannot control the volume through the app. It is a major pain. My Bluetooth is on and wifi is fine.

Until a month ago or so, the iPhone remote app worked wonders. I could both control the Apple TV and adjust the volume, with the side-buttons on the phone.The Apple TV 4K-remote still controls the volume just fine, but the iPhone app no longer works.I seem to find a ton of threads with the same problem - or at least sort of. It seems that the Apple TV-remote (not the app) is the main problem. Just not for me. It’s the iPhone Remote-app.And yes, I’ve tried restarting the Apple TV-remote (holding volume-down and control button for 5 seconds and waiting for restart)...

Background: I have a Sonos One speaker set up in my toddler’s room to play white noise throughout the night. I found a playlist on Spotify that has worked perfectly for the past two years, and I play the playlist through the Sonos app. but suddenly beginning last month I’ve had a recurring issue.Problem: Sometime in the middle of the night (after 6ish hours) the Sonos speaker will stop playing the white noise playlist, and start playing whatever song I last listened to on Spotify. Let’s say that, in the middle of the day away from home, while driving, I used Spotify on my phone to play some songs in my car. Later at night after I start the white noise through the Sonos app it makes it through 5-6 hours, but then suddenly stops playing the white noise and switches to whatever the last song I listened to when I was driving around. Understandibly this wakes up my kid, so I run into the room with my phone and open the sonos app. I try to connect to the One speake

After working fine suddenly I can’t load the S2 Controller due to the “Unable to load pcdcr.dll” error.Running Windows 11 on an MS Surface Pro so ARM 64 processor.Have uninistalled (and deleted any remaining Sonos inc folders as advised in previous solutions) but it won’t work.Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi! Recenlty I came across an issue where Spotify Connect would only work with my Amazon Alexa Sonos speaker, and no other Sonos speaker. I figured out how to get it to work, so I am now sharing it with the rest of you:The symptoms are: If you try to use Spotify to play to any other Speaker than an Amazon Alexa speaker via Spotify Connect it will see the speakers and the try to connect, eventually stopping with a time out error. With the Amazon Alexa speaker it will play perfectly fine. Potential root cause: The Spotify’s magic. i.e., the certificate which is supposed to be replicated across all Sonos speakers is incorrect. The Amazon Alexa certificate is probably being offered for Spotify, which is incorrect *except* when it comes to the Amazon Alexa enabled speaker. Solution:Remove the Sonos Skill from Amazon Alexa. Sonos f***ed-up my S1 system. I do not have any post-2020 speakers, just old ones, circa 2016. Overnight (via automatic update?), all of my old Play 1’s (six in total) that were powered on at the time disappeared from the S1 controller. I tried to add them back: no dice. Then I factory reset them and was told that they were no longer s1 compatible and had to install s2 controller and “downgrade” them back to s1. WTF?! So far the downgrade has NOT worked and I’ve been in an endless loop of frustration. I’m a scientist and fairly digital savvy, but not a high-end IT dude. This is effing ridiculous, and SONOS needs to get its programming act together so average users can readily fix this SONOS f***up.And . . . WHY have you shut down all the threads with people posting about this issue? It looks like you’re trying to sweep it under the rug, which is not a good look.PLEASE FIX THIS SO YOUR CUSTOMERS CAN USE YOUR FRIGGIN’ PRODUCTS. 

What’s the latest on any support (official or otherwise) for playback of music mixed in 5.1 via .m4a files?I have tried copying some of the content to my Sonos library and then tried a library update, but it still doesn’t show up.Am I out of luck? 

The latest App update (ios 80.14.09) still hasn’t fixed the nightmare that you can’t switch between speakers. Why have you removed such an important part of the app. It is now so cumbersome to do it, and then if you’ve initiated music from other app (such as Spotify) you don’t have a chance of controlling your own system. Help!! 

Songs from Plex and Bandcamp can be added to SONOS Favorites, but they are immediately greyed out there.Meanwhile Album from Plex and Bandcamp work fine; Songs from Apple Music seem working ok too.   

 How much longer must we suffer?! This app is garbage!The old app actually let you control volume with the one buttons! Amazing! The old app let you see what was playing on the screen! Amazing!The new app barely functions! Unacceptable! The volume is glitchy, the interface has too many layers, the app is not intuitive, and on and on!It’s been months and nothing has been resolved! Terrible company!

Hello!As I’ve seen more and more apps adopt Live Activities, I have begun noticing their absence for the Sonos app on iOS.  There are a few simple use cases that I think would be better achieved through a Live Activity vs having to do a heavy load of the app as is required today: Quick playback controls: play/pause/next/previous of current playing content Volume controls for the currently playing group Playing track information, including playback progress and album art. To keep things simple, I would suggest the Live Activity would only provide the above for the last selected and active (playing) speaker group from within the app. This avoids over designing the live activity to have to have a group picker which I think start to over complicate the experience. 

I have 20 some Sonos devices, spread out over 3 locations. When is Sonos going to offer a full rollback to S1 ? S1 is absolutely bulletproof.  The Sonos company and their CEO need to stop all production and focus their energy completely on rebuilding this app and offering a rollback. 

I am sure all our issues has been discussed before but a search for anything around ‘volume’, ‘controls’, ‘slider’ or ‘app’ comes back with 100’s of results.Our Sonos products:- 3 Play one- 1 Sub- Newest/Latest Sonos app (iOS) S2- Sonos multi room/group (2 rooms/groups with same music but different volumes)- Spotify Premium Family account - Superior glassfiber internet (1.000 Mb up/down)- Stable WiFi 6 router and access points (Fritzbox). Many smart devices, all working correctly.We tried a Sonos cable connection and WiFi connection. The Sonos cable connection is even worse. - Good WiFi reception on all Sonos speakers- Apple iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro to operate the Sonos app. We have been using Sonos for 8 years now. At the first 7 years we were very enthusiastic about it. The last 12 months we hardly ever use Sonos anymore. The app updates we had to suffer are absolutely horrible!!!!

I have purchased a Sonos five and got the app. On occasion others in my home want to share their music. How can that happen?

I want to stream Apple Music to my Sonos speakers with a direct connection rather than airplay in order to get the optimal sound resolution.Currently I have an Apple TV 4K connected to my arc for video streaming and have found that when select the Apple TV 4K to output audio the sound is noticeably better than airplay. Is there a device or way to actually verify what if 16 or 24k or 44.1 or 48 is actually being broadcast. Has anyone had success connecting a Wiim (pro or Ultra) , Eversolo bluenode or Cambridge cvn v2 using the Sonos line adapter to era 100 or 300 and been able to add multiple room grouping to your other Sonos speakers ?  

I have imported a bunch of files in to Appel Music. I can play these fine on my Mac, my iPhone etc…When I add Apple Music to the Sonos app I see the Albums I imported, but I cannot play them. I get an “unable to add to queue” error. What might be the problem here?  

Opening app is slow changing volume is slow  

I realise everyone hates the app and the Sonos team are obviously having a total nightmare managing the situation, and I’ve tried to resist piling on, and have bought multiple 3rd party apps and tried workarounds, but I’ve really just had enough of trying to use this system and really want to chuck it all in the bin.  The UX on this app is just so appalling in every way. It’s SO slow and laggy. Sometimes you can make it start okay, others you can’t. You want a tune. You want the 6 o clock news at 6. But it just does nothing. You wait. 30 seconds… and then. . . You just give up and use your phone speaker! Sometimes the volume works, other times it doesn’t. It’s so unintuitive as to which room is active. Why can’t I see the actual radio stations I want in a list on the home page? Why is there no hierarchy among the favourites? Why do none of the playlists work? Why do you prioritise the junk Sonos streams as if they’re real stations? Why can’t I manually control the viewi

On the Mac Sonos Controller, in the right most column (Music Source), say if you’re already looking at tracks inside an album and you want scroll to see more songs below (2-finger up motion on the trackpad, which is Mac’s default “Natural Scrolling” setting), if your fingers drifts to the right side while moving upwards, the app immediately takes you back one level up - back to the album level, as if you’ve pressed the < button. The same is true whatever you’re scrolling through, e.g. it would go from album back to artist, playlist back to streaming service, etc. Typically if an area can only scroll up or down, any left or right 2-finger motion is ignored (this is true for both Mac and Windows), this makes for very swift scrolling a flick action. This bug makes scrolling through anything much more laborious as you now have to be careful with the scrolling motion all the time! Could the dev team please take a look at the issue?
