I am sitting here on a quiet Sunday running a NAS setup through my head for media storage and Sonos access. I haven't worried about this so far as we've been enjoying streaming but it's time to get my old music library online.  Currently everything is on a media computer that was connected to my original surround sound system and TV for ripped dvds. I am looking to transfer my music library to a NAS box that I can simply plug into my orbi router.  I've read through the tutorials for setting up various NAS boxes and was interested in talking about current tech.  I have setup many NAS systems for network backup in the past but was interested in your input on what available today using a SDD drive in place of a conventional HD. The reasoning for this really boils down to the fact all my network gear is in our bedroom and I would expect the sound levels for a SDD system would be less that the legacy setups. Just recently I’ve had the opportunity to directly compare Apple Music, Qobuz and Amazon Music Unlimited on my Sonos speakers (Beam 2, Move 2 and Roam).I listen to a lot of music and am really frustrated by the poor audio quality on a lot of albums which have been mastered to compete in “the loudness war”.This affects a lot of recent albums and re-masters of older albums.The dynamic range of a multitude of albums can be viewed by Googling: Loudness War Database. I think most of us know what a dismal failure the S2 app has become. Laggy, buggy and in most instances just does not work most of the time. That said, it would be great to see a detailed roadmap of what is being planned to get this back on track. It has been over a year of this poor performance. Is there any light in sight? Does anyone have a S2 app roadmap to share?

I cannot seem to find a way to add songs to playlist in the new app. when I click on the ••• next to a song while another is playing, the only option now appears to be Replace Queue, and no ability to insert the song. what am I missing?

Hello,I am currently running v11.15 of the Controller for PC and all is working well.Sonos wants to update to 90.0-67171. Has anyone still on S1 applied this update? Any benefit or detriment to updating?Thanks!

Relisten was finally working late last week.  It went down again last night.  It was a wonderful 4 day run, but its back to can't connect to Relisten or can't play 'song name'. And it skips through 4 or 5 songs before the error messages appear.  I tried to speak with the help desk, but after 15 minutes and nothing from the representative, other than telling me his name, I aborted. I just want Relisten to work correctly. I assume that Sonos is aware and working on a fix

Hello again.  I'm listening to music from my local library for the first time in a little while and the album art is not displayed. It's the same on android and ios. 

I have no true play showing on my app , any fix guys ?

When I use the Sonos app on my iPhone to play music, does the app display the music format?  Dolby Atmos is displayed on the Sonos app when Apple TV is the music source.  But I can’t tell the format when the music source is the Sonos app (or at least I don’t know where it is displayed). This came up because music played with Apple TV sounds different.  Clearer. Thanks,Tom Morris

There should be a further option in the ‘Queue Management’ dropdown; that is ‘Add To Front Of Queue’.Isn’t that how Sonos used to work?Correspondingly the user should be able to specify a default setting for this to avoid having to visit the dropdown at each visit.

Greetings from Rhode Island.My question is whtat hardware (and how many?) do I need to upgrade to the latest platform which i believe is Sonos 2.I have Sonos one hardware driving Sonos One Speakers. There are 8 outdoor speakers in four locations and 10 indoor speakers in 5 locations. I assume I can use the Sonos one speakers I have with the new Sonos 2 hardware. Many thanks for any insight. Three related requests.When selecting a recently played entry that is no longer valid Sonos offers to remove the associated Favorite, it would be good to also remove the recently played entry.As many recently played entries are useless, just a generic name that is of no help, or are something you want to avoid playing/being again a delete option would be good.As above since some entries have generic and useless names, allow us to rename them something useful. I don't need multiple "Top Songs" entries with no clue as to who's top songs shown.  

When using connected apps or services the time length of songs/tracks is not shown.  Am I missing a toggle in settings to display this or can I make a request to have this information added to UI? Thank you!

I have set up a new Sonos system and I am connected to it. The problem is that I cannot add music services like Spotify and I cannot update my music library. I can pick Spotify to add then I click on “connect to Spotify” then when I click on “Authorize” nothing happens. I restarted everything. I changed my password all the things that are suggested then I called Sonos and they said that this was a known problem and their engineers are working on it. This pertains to the S one app.

HiThe new app gives up too easily looking for the Sonos system on the WiFi and then does not seem to clear the cache or local memory and do some sort of reattempt.The problem is you get scary suggested actions like upgrading the speakers and creating a new system. I know these are incorrect suggestions because if I 'force stop' the android app and try again it ultimately works ... not always after the first retry.Sonos mesh network used to be bullet proof in terms of reliability. I understand the security was not.

The S1 app (and older) had the option on Android to play music "On the device" and I can browse my local files and play them. it went away of course with the abomination that is the current app. Is this option ever going to added back into app? This is very useful when working on a space at my brother's farm that still only supports S1. However it would be nice to use it in other situations when connected to a system other than my own.

my mac blew up ...and i didnt want to do that platform anymore….so i bought a lenovo AIO 3all in one…….i have two sonos 5;s connected to a min sub woofer...i can get spotify to play by selecting in house ...and i can play my radio stations through the sonos app….but how do i get utube to play ...and dose a direct headphone jack from the 5.;s to the lenovo aio 3 ...a line in work ...with the single jack ensuring the two 5;s and the mini sub are grouped  

I cannot express in enough words what an absolute piece of garbage system this is with this garbage app. Never have I spent such wasted money on garbage and frustration.  

Hello, I am currently facing a challenge in the interplay of MPD’s (Music Player Daemon) audio output as a http stream in my local network and the sonos interface (currently I use tuneIN to listen to a specific (local!) http address, namely the one I set in my MPD config). I successfully got an mp3 Stream up and running with maximal bitrate of 320kHz, using the following mpd config:audio_output {        type        "httpd"        name        "mp3audio"        encoder     "lame"             port        "8000"        bitrate     "320"                 format      "44100:16:2"} I now wish to replicate this for flac, but simply settingaudio_output {  type            "httpd"  name            "Lossless HTTP Stream"  encoder         "flac"  # or "wav" for uncompressed WAV  compression     "0"  port            "8001"  # choose a port  format          "44

If one adds a track to an iTunes (‘Music’) playlist on a device running the Sonos App will it update a Sonos ‘Imported Playlist? 

I’ve been putting this off since the dreaded upgrade that got rid of my TimeCapsule on Sonos, Ive only been streaming since. I would like to access my local music library again. What are my best options?NAS, if so a good value one; music files are less than 2TBor USB into router - I am planning an upgrade on my broadband so will be flexible with provider that gives best router compatible with a USB/Sonos situation. If this is a good option, advice on a good USB drive/stick. Thanks
